Description
図1は、本発明に係る駆動車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図である。この駆動車輪用軸受装置は、ハブ輪1と、複列の転がり軸受2と、等速自在継手3とをユニット化して構成している。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で、車両の外側寄り(図面左側)となる側をアウトボード側、中央寄り側(図面右側)をインボード側という。

Claims (4)
- ハブ輪と複列の転がり軸受と等速自在継手とがユニット化された駆動車輪用軸受装置であって、
前記複列の転がり軸受が、一端に車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に軸方向に延びる円筒状の小径段部が形成され、内周にトルク伝達用のセレーションが形成されたハブ輪と、このハブ輪に外嵌された内輪とからなり、外周に複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、この内方部材に複列の転動体を介して外嵌され、内周に前記複列の内側転走面に対向する複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材とを備え、前記小径段部の端部を径方向外方に塑性変形させて形成した加締部によって前記内輪が軸方向に固定され、前記加締部の内端面が平坦面に形成されると共に、前記等速自在継手を構成する外側継手部材の肩部と前記加締部の内端面とを突合せ状態で、前記外側継手部材の軸部がセレーションを介して前記ハブ輪にトルク伝達可能に内嵌され、ねじ手段を介して前記ハブ輪と外側継手部材とが着脱自在に締結された駆動車輪用軸受装置において、
前記外側継手部材の肩部と前記加締部の内端面との間にスラスト軸受を介装させ、このスラスト軸受が、一側面に放射溝が形成されたスラスト板と、前記放射溝に固着されたプラスチックグリースとからなり、このプラスチックグリースの表面が前記スラスト板の表面から僅かに突出するよう構成されていることを特徴とする駆動車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記内方部材が、前記ハブ輪と、このハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された内輪とからなり、前記複列の転がり軸受における内側転走面のうち一方の内側転走面が前記ハブ輪に、他方の内側転走面が前記内輪にそれぞれ直接形成されている請求項1に記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記軸部に貫通孔が形成され、この貫通孔の内周に雌ねじが形成されると共に、この雌ねじに固定ボルトを螺合させ、前記ハブ輪と外側継手部材とが着脱自在に締結されている請求項1または2に記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記スラスト軸受を覆うように、前記外側継手部材の肩部と前記内方部材の内端面間に形成される環状空間を閉塞するシール部材が装着されている請求項1乃至3いずれかに記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
