x=w・tanθR/(tanθL+tanθR)
y=w・tanθL・tanθR/(tanθL+tanθR)・・・(1)
【0027】

【0084】

The display unit 101 is used when inputting coordinates, and is embedded in a display surface 111 for displaying the processing result, a frame body 112 for holding the display surface 111, and the left and right sides of the frame body 112, and generates a sound accompanying the processing result. The output speaker 113 and the main power switch 114 are included.
[0022]
The processing unit 102 includes a processing device 121 that executes various application programs such as a drawing application based on the coordinates input by the display unit 101, and a support housing that supports the display unit 101. 122 and a pedestal 123 with rollers for easily moving the support housing. In the figure, a general-purpose personal computer is shown as the processing device 121. However, the processing device 121 is not limited to this, and a processing device specialized for the coordinate input device 100 may be used.
[0023]
In the figure, the coordinate input device 100 is configured such that the display unit 101 and the processing unit 102 are substantially independent. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the processing unit 102 is built in the frame body 112 to be integrated. The configuration may be a wall-mounted coordinate input device.
[0024]
(Coordinate input detection and position calculation of coordinate input device)
The coordinate input device 100 executes various application programs when coordinates are input to the display surface 111. Various methods can be employed for detecting the input of the coordinates. For example, the input of the coordinates and the position of the input coordinates can be calculated using a surface acoustic wave. In addition, for example, an optical method using a light receiving element and a light emitting element can be employed. Here, two examples will be described as optical methods.
[0025]
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating coordinate input detection and position calculation using an optical unit and a reflective material. In the figure, an optical unit 201 that emits irradiation light and detects the shielding direction of the irradiation light based on the intensity of the reflected light, and an optical unit disposed around the display surface 111 at both ends of the display surface 111 end. A reflecting material 202 that reflects the light emitted from 201 is disposed.
[0026]
Although the calculation process is omitted, using the distance w between the optical units 201 and the coordinate position A directions θL and θR measured from the line connecting the optical units 201, the position A (x, y) is calculated by Equation (1) based on the light shielding direction.
x = w · tan θR / (tan θL + tan θR)
y = w · tan θL · tan θR / (tan θL + tan θR) (1)
[0027]
As another method for optically detecting the input of coordinates and calculating the position, there is another method in which the light emitting element array and the light receiving element array face each other at the end of the display surface 111 in pairs. FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of the configuration around the display surface in which the light emitting element array and the light receiving element array are arranged. As is apparent from the figure, light emitting elements 301 are arranged in an array on the upper side and the right side of the display surface 111, from which beam-shaped irradiation light is directed toward the light receiving elements 302 that are arranged to face each other. Irradiated.
[0028]
The input coordinate position B (x, y) is a signal of a set of a vertical light emitting element and a light receiving element in which light shielding is detected, and a horizontal light emitting element and light receiving element in which light shielding is similarly detected. And a set of signals.
[0029]
(Hardware configuration of coordinate input device)
Next, the hardware configuration of the coordinate input device 100 will be described. FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of a hardware configuration of the coordinate input device 100. As shown in the figure, the coordinate input device 100 includes a CPU 401, a ROM 402, a RAM 403, a keyboard 404, a mouse 405, a hard disk 406, a graphics board 407, a network card 408, an interface (I / I). F) 409 and a display unit 410.
[0030]
The CPU 401 controls the entire coordinate input device 100, and the ROM 402 stores a boot program and the like. The RAM 403 is used as a work area of the CPU 401, and particularly as a memory area when executing various application programs stored in the hard disk 406 described later.
[0031]
A keyboard 404 is used for inputting characters, numerical values, various instructions, and the like. A mouse 405 is used to move a cursor or select a range independently of a finger input to the display surface 111 or with a finger input to the display surface 111. Use when performing.
[0032]
The hard disk 406 includes an operating system (OS) 461 that controls the execution of various processes via the CPU 401, touch panel control software 462, various applications including word processor software, drawing software such as draw software and paint software, and spreadsheet software. And a program 463.
[0033]
Among these, the touch panel control software 462 controls the display unit 410 and determines whether a finger input to the display surface 111 is click, touch, drag, or two-point touch based on the event and the state. To do. In other words, the touch panel control software 462 is a part that emulates various operations using the mouse 405 by finger input.
[0034]
The graphics board 407 is connected to the display unit 410 and transmits a signal for displaying processing results of various application programs 463 to be displayed on the display surface 111. The network card 408 connects the coordinate input device 100 to a network such as the Internet or an intranet. The I / F 409 sends the coordinate signal output from the display unit 410 to the RAM in which the touch panel control software is developed. The I / F 409 is also used as an interface for connecting a scanner, a printer, etc. (not shown).
[0035]
The display unit 410 includes a display surface 111 and a mechanism for detecting input coordinates, for example, a mechanism for processing input of coordinates based on the surface acoustic wave or the optical method described above. In this embodiment, the touch panel control software 462 determines a finger input operation (click, drag, etc.) based on the coordinate signal output from the display unit 410, and calculates the coordinate position. Depending on the mode, these functions may be integrated to determine the operation content (click, drag, etc.) on the display unit 410 side. Reference numeral 411 denotes a bus for connecting the above-described units.
[0036]
(Functional configuration of the coordinate input device 100)
Next, a functional configuration of the coordinate input device 100 will be described. FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram showing an example of a functional configuration of the coordinate input device 100. In the figure, the coordinate input device 100 includes, as its functional configuration, an input detection unit 501, a position calculation unit 502, an operation determination unit 503, a display control unit 504, a toolbar display unit 505, and a dialog box display unit. 506, a drawing tool display unit 507, an erasing tool display unit 508, a scroll display unit 509, and an enlargement / reduction display unit 510.
[0037]
The operation determination unit 503 includes a touch determination unit 531, a click determination unit 532, a two-point touch determination unit 533, and a drag determination unit 534. Next, each of these functional components will be described.
[0038]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of input detection unit 501 and position calculation unit 502)
The input detection unit 501 detects input of coordinates on the display surface 111. Since the display surface 111 has a touch panel configuration, the operator sees the display content displayed on the display surface 111 and touches the display surface 111 with a finger input or the like to detect input of coordinates. The function of the input detection unit 501 can be realized by, for example, the display surface 111 (see FIG. 1), the display unit 410 (see FIG. 2), touch panel control software 462, and the like.
[0039]
On the other hand, the position calculation unit 502 calculates the position of the coordinates detected by the input detection unit 501. There are various methods for calculating the coordinate position. For example, if the display surface 111 has the format shown in FIG. 2, the coordinate position can be calculated by the above-described equation (1). If the surface 111 has the form shown in FIG. 3, the coordinate position can be directly calculated from the vertical shielding and the horizontal shielding. The position calculation unit 502 realizes its function by, for example, the optical unit 201 (see FIG. 2), the light emitting element 301 / light receiving element 302 (see FIG. 3), the display unit 410 (see FIG. 4), the touch panel control software 462, and the like. Can do.
[0040]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of operation determination unit 503)
The operation determination unit 503 determines an operation on the display surface 111 based on the coordinates detected by the input detection unit 501 and the position of the coordinates calculated by the position calculation unit 502. This operation specifically refers to touch, click, two-point touch and drag.
[0041]
The touch refers to a state where a finger is in contact with the display surface 111, that is, a state where an input state to the same coordinate position is maintained, in terms of a finger input operation. In the case of finger input, the input to the same coordinate position has slight fluctuations due to camera shake or the like. Therefore, the operation determination unit 503 maintains the coordinates input within a predetermined area including the periphery of the same point. It may be determined that the touch has been made.
[0042]
A click refers to an event in which coordinates are input at any position on the display surface 111 and the input is completed within a predetermined time interval. The predetermined time interval may be set to 0.2 seconds, for example.
[0043]
The two-point touch refers to a state in which coordinates are input at any two points on the display surface 111. The two-point touch includes a case where two points are input simultaneously, and also includes a case where one point is in a touch state and another point is input at a point different from this point.
[0044]
Dragging refers to an input state in which coordinates are input at any position on the display surface 111 and the input coordinates sequentially move from one position to an adjacent coordinate position. The input by the operator corresponds to an operation of tracing the display surface 111. Depending on how the coordinate input is detected, the end of input may be detected as the coordinate position is moved. In this case, the input of adjacent coordinates is detected at the same time. You may decide to drag. For example, when there is a coordinate input at the coordinate position (206, 113) and the coordinate position (106, 114) is obtained by moving the finger, the coordinate input detection method shown in FIG. 113) is completed, but since the inputs (106, 114) are detected at the same time, it can be determined to be a drag.
[0045]
The operation determination unit 503 can realize its function by, for example, the display surface 111 (see FIG. 1), the display unit 410 (see FIG. 4), the I / F 409, the touch panel control software 462, and the like.
[0046]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of display control unit 504)
The display control unit 504 executes predetermined processing of various application programs in accordance with the type of operation in the operation determination unit 503 and the position of the input coordinates, and selects and displays an object to be displayed on the display surface 111. Do it. The display control unit 504 can realize its functions by, for example, the CPU 401 (see FIG. 4), the OS 461, the touch panel control software 462, various application programs 463, the graphics board 407, and the like. In addition, the execution part of various application programs may be an aspect in which a function unit is separately provided to execute processing, and the processing result is input by the display control unit 504.
[0047]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: toolbar display unit 505)
Next, the processing result contents whose display is controlled by the display control unit 504 will be described. The toolbar display unit 505 displays a toolbar for selecting characters, graphics, ruled lines, files, and the like. Specifically, the toolbar is displayed when the display control unit 504 determines that one point on the display surface 111 is touched and the other point is clicked.
[0048]
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram showing a display example of the toolbar. As shown in the figure, the toolbar 601 includes a file processing selection unit 611 that displays a file processing menu, an editing processing selection unit 612 that displays an editing processing menu, a pen processing selection unit 613 that displays a pen processing menu, and a graphic. The graphic processing selection unit 614 displays a processing menu and the deletion processing selection unit 615 displays a deletion selection menu. In the figure, an example in which the file processing menu is displayed is shown.
[0049]
In a conventional coordinate input device, a toolbar displayed in one place on the screen is displayed, and the operator selects a necessary menu from the toolbar. However, when the display screen becomes large, it is not possible to reach the hand. The inconvenience of having to move occurs. However, the coordinate input device 100 according to the present embodiment has an advantage that the operability is greatly improved including the case where the display surface 111 is large because the tool bar can be easily displayed at hand when necessary. .
[0050]
Further, as shown in the drawings, in the following drawings, for the sake of convenience, the left hand LH indicates a touch or the right hand RH indicates a state or operation in which a click operation is performed.
[0051]
The function of the toolbar display unit 505 can be realized by, for example, the CPU 401 (see FIG. 4), the OS 461, the touch panel control software 462, various application programs 463, and the like.
[0052]
(Functional Configuration of Coordinate Input Device 100: Contents of Dialog Box Display Unit 506) The dialog box display unit 506 is a dialog box for selecting drawing attributes, that is, the thickness, line type, color, and the like of a diagram to be drawn. Specifically, a dialog box is displayed when the display control unit 504 touches a drawing pointer used for drawing processing and determines that another point on the display surface 111 is clicked. The
[0053]
FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram showing a display example of a dialog box. As shown in the figure, a dialog box 701 displays a line thickness selection unit 711 for selecting a line thickness, a line color selection unit 712 for setting a line color, and the selected line thickness and color. And a sample display unit 713. In the figure, a drawing pointer 702 is also displayed.
[0054]
In conventional coordinate input devices, when drawing characters, graphics, etc. on the display surface, when changing the line thickness or line color, a dialog box is displayed by pressing a selection box displayed at one location on the screen. However, when the display surface becomes large, there is an inconvenience that the hand is out of reach or has to be moved. However, the coordinate input device 100 according to the present embodiment can easily display a dialog box, and thus has an advantage that the operability does not deteriorate even when the display surface 111 is enlarged.
[0055]

[0056]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of drawing tool display unit 507)
The drawing tool display unit 507 draws characters and line diagrams by executing drawing software. Specifically, when it is determined by the display control unit 504 that one point of the character or diagram displayed by the drawing tool display unit 507 is touched and another point other than the character or diagram is clicked. A drawing tool in which a drawing attribute having the same attribute as the touched character or diagram is selected is displayed.
[0057]
FIG. 8 is an explanatory diagram showing a display example of a drawing tool having the same drawing attribute. The drawing tool 801 has the same attributes as the thick horizontal line 802 that has already been drawn. Accordingly, a line having the same line thickness is drawn by pressing the drawing tool 801 with a finger and dragging the display surface 111.
[0058]
In conventional coordinate input devices, when drawing characters, graphics, etc. on the display surface, when changing the line thickness or line color, a dialog box is displayed by pressing a selection box displayed at one location on the screen. However, when the display surface becomes large, there is an inconvenience that the hand is out of reach or has to be moved. However, in the coordinate input device 100 according to the present embodiment, when drawing a diagram similar to the already drawn diagram, a drawing tool having the same attribute can be easily displayed, so that the display surface 111 There is an advantage that the operability is not lowered even when the value of the height increases.
[0059]
The drawing tool display unit 507 can realize its function by, for example, the CPU 401 (see FIG. 4), the OS 461, the touch panel control software 462, various application programs 463, and the like.
[0060]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of erasure tool display unit 508)
The erase tool display unit 508 erases a diagram drawn by executing the drawing software. Specifically, when the two-point touch is detected on the diagram displayed by the drawing software, the display control unit 504 erases the touched diagram by the erase tool display unit 508. The erase tool is displayed.
[0061]
FIG. 9 is an explanatory view showing a display example of an erasing tool for erasing a drawn diagram. The erasing tool 901 is displayed by two touches on the already drawn thick horizontal line 902. The operator depresses the erasing tool 901 with a finger and drags the display surface 111 to erase unnecessary line diagrams.
[0062]
In the conventional coordinate input device, when erasing a drawn diagram, the erasing tool was selected from a menu displayed at a predetermined position on the screen. Inconvenience occurs that the user has to move. However, the coordinate input apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment has an advantage that the operability is greatly improved including the case where the display surface 111 is large because the erasing tool can be easily displayed when necessary.
[0063]
The function of the erasing tool display unit 508 can be realized by, for example, the CPU 401 (see FIG. 4), the OS 461, the touch panel control software 462, various application programs 463, and the like.
[0064]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of scroll display unit 509)
The scroll display unit 509 scrolls the display content displayed on the display surface 111 vertically and horizontally. Specifically, the execution results of the drawing software and various application software are scrolled up, down, left and right. As a scrolling start condition, when scrolling to the left, one of the right sides of the display surface 111 is touched and another place is clicked. FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating an example of the display content scrolling to the left. Note that the scroll is moved by determining the amount of movement for each click. For example, a mode in which 20 pixels are moved to the left with one click can be cited.
[0065]
Similarly, right scrolling is performed by touching one of the left sides of the display surface 111 and clicking on another location. FIG. 11 shows an example of the display content scrolling to the right. Also, as shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, in the case of downward scrolling, it is performed by touching any one of the upper sides of the display surface 111 and clicking elsewhere, and in the case of upward scrolling, the display surface 111. You can do this by touching one of the bottom edges and clicking elsewhere.
[0066]
In the conventional coordinate input device, the screen is scrolled by operating a scroll bar placed at a predetermined position on the screen. However, when the display surface becomes large, it is difficult to reach or move. Inconvenience occurs. However, the coordinate input apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment has an advantage that the operability is greatly improved including the case where the display surface 111 is large because the screen can be easily scrolled when necessary.
[0067]
The scroll display unit 509 can realize its functions by, for example, the CPU 401 (see FIG. 4), the OS 461, the touch panel control software 462, various application programs 463, and the like.
[0068]
(Functional configuration of coordinate input device 100: contents of enlargement / reduction display unit 510)
The enlargement / reduction display unit 510 enlarges or reduces the display content displayed on the display surface 111 by a predetermined operation. Specifically, when a certain position on the display surface 111 is touched and a drag operation is performed from one other point to the touched point, the display content is reduced around the touched point, and from one other point, If there is a drag operation in the opposite direction to the touched point, the display content is enlarged around the touched point.
[0069]
14 and 15 are diagrams showing examples of enlarged display and reduced display. In the figure, RD indicates a finger input for performing a drag operation. In FIG. 14, since the drag operation is performed from the touched point toward the outside as illustrated, the display content is enlarged. On the other hand, in FIG. 13, since the drag operation toward the touched point is performed, the display content is reduced.
[0070]
In the conventional coordinate input device, the display contents are enlarged / reduced by operating the setting buttons to which a predetermined enlargement / reduction ratio is assigned. The inconvenience of having to move occurs. However, the coordinate input apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment has an advantage that the operability is greatly improved including the case where the display surface 111 is large because the enlargement / reduction operation can be easily performed when necessary.
[0071]
The function of the enlargement / reduction display unit 510 can be realized by, for example, the CPU 401 (see FIG. 4), the OS 461, the touch panel control software 462, various application programs 463, and the like. Note that the amount of enlargement or reduction may be adjusted in proportion to the amount of movement of the drag operation.
[0072]
(Processing flow of the coordinate input device 100)
Next, an example of the processing flow of the coordinate input device 100 will be described. 16 and 17 are flowcharts showing an example of the processing flow of the coordinate input device 100. FIG. Among these, FIG. 16 is a flowchart showing a processing flow for determining a click operation and a touch operation, and FIG. 17 is a flowchart showing a flow of display control based on the determined operation.
[0073]
The coordinate input device 100 determines whether coordinates are input on the display surface 111 (step S1601). If coordinates are input, the position of the input coordinates is calculated (step S1602). Subsequently, it is determined whether the coordinates input on the display surface 111 have been input for a predetermined time or more (step S1603). If no input has been made for a predetermined time (step S1603: NO), it means that the input to the display surface 111 has been completed, so it is determined that the input operation to the display surface 111 was a click operation (step S1604). .
[0074]
On the other hand, when coordinates are input for a predetermined time or more (step S1603: YES), the coordinate input device 100 determines whether the same coordinates are input (step S1605). If the same coordinates are input (step S1605: YES), it is determined that the input operation on the display surface 111 is a touch operation (step S1606).
[0075]
If the coordinates are not the same (step S1605: NO), it is determined whether the input coordinates are sequentially moved to a nearby position (step S1607). If the coordinates are sequentially moved to the vicinity (step S1607: YES). It is determined that the operation is a drag operation (step S1609). On the other hand, if the coordinates are not sequentially moved to a nearby position and the coordinates are input for a predetermined time (step S1607: NO), normally, the input of the coordinates and the end of the input are not performed at the same time. That is, it is determined that a two-point touch operation has been performed (step S1608).
[0076]
Next, display control will be described. As shown in FIG. 17, the coordinate input device 100 determines whether the input operation on the display surface 111 is a two-point touch operation (step S1701). In the case of the two-point touch operation, it is determined whether both points are points on the diagram already drawn by the drawing software (step S1702). The erase tool 901 is displayed (step S1703).
[0077]
If it is determined in step S1701 that the touch is not a two-point touch, it is determined whether the operation is a one-point touch / one-point drag operation (step S1704). In the case of one-point touch / one-point drag, as shown in FIG. 14 or FIG. 15, the display content displayed on the display surface 111 is enlarged or reduced according to the direction of the drag operation (step S1705).
[0078]
If it is determined in step S1704 that it is not a one-point touch / one-point drag operation, it is determined whether it is a one-point touch / one-point click operation (step S1706). In the case of a one-point touch / one-point click operation, in which both the points are not displayed (step S1707), the tool bar 601 shown in FIG. 6 is displayed (step S1708).
[0079]
If none of the two points is displayed in step S1706, it is determined whether or not the point is touched by the drawing pointer and the other point is clicked (step S1709). When it is determined that one point is touched by the drawing pointer and the other point is clicked, the dialog box 701 shown in FIG. 7 is displayed (step S1710).
[0080]
If it is determined in step S1709 that the drawing pointer is not touched, it is determined whether the drawing is a touch on the diagram and a click operation on a point other than the diagram (step S1711). In the case of one-point touch on the drawn diagram and one-point click to another point, a drawing tool 801 having the same drawing attributes as the touched diagram is displayed as shown in FIG. (Step S1712).
[0081]
If it is determined that the touch is not on the diagram drawn in step S1711, it is determined whether a touch is made on the edge of the display surface 111 and another point is clicked (step S1713). When the end side is touched, the display content is scrolled in the direction of the side opposite to the touched side as shown in FIGS. 10 to 13 (step S1714).
[0082]
In the case of other operations, or in the case of negative in step S1702 or negative in step S1706, the processing assigned by the other various application programs 463 is performed (step S1715).
[0083]
As described above, the coordinate input device 100 according to the present embodiment can easily operate a general-purpose operation at hand even when the display surface 111 is a large screen. Various operations can be performed.
[0084]

It is possible to provide a large-screen touch panel coordinate input device that can maintain operability.
[0088]
In the invention according to claim 5, based on the coordinates detected by the coordinate detection means and the position of the coordinates calculated by the position calculation means, the input coordinates are changed from a certain coordinate position to an adjacent coordinate position. Drag determining means for determining that the input state moves sequentially is provided, and the display control means is determined by the touch maintenance determining means that the input state at a certain coordinate position on the display surface is maintained. When the drag determining means determines that the input state is such that coordinates move from a coordinate position different from the certain coordinate position toward the certain coordinate position, the display means is based on the certain position as a base point. The display screen displayed by the above is reduced, and the drag determination means reverses the coordinate position from the coordinate position different from the certain coordinate position. When it is determined that the input state moves in the direction, the display screen displayed by the display unit is enlarged with the certain position as a base point, so that the display screen can be enlarged or reduced with a simple operation. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a large-screen touch panel coordinate input device that can maintain operability.
