Description

【0001】
【0046】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a gland packing material used for manufacturing a gland packing, and a gland packing manufactured using the gland packing material.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a gland packing material used for manufacturing gland packing,18Or figure19(See, for example, Patent Document 1). Figure18The gland packing material 50 has an inner reinforcing structure in which, for example, an expanded graphite 52 is integrally bonded to a surface of a metal fiber 51 such as stainless steel with an adhesive.19The gland packing material 50 has an internal reinforcement structure in which expanded graphite 52 is integrally bonded and coated on both surfaces of a plurality of metal fibers 51 such as stainless steel with an adhesive.
Since the tensile strength is imparted to the gland packing material 50 by the metal fiber 51, it can be braided or twisted. Therefore, a plurality of the gland packing materials 50 are converged, and the grant packing can be manufactured by braiding or twisting. For example, by gathering 8 gland packing materials 50 and knitting 820As shown in (a) and (b), the braided packing 53 can be manufactured, and the six gland packing materials 50 are converged and twisted to obtain a figure.21As shown in (a) and (b), the twisted packing 53 can be manufactured.
[0003]
Figure20And figure21The expanded packing 52 is provided with favorable properties for sealing such as compressibility and resilience, which are indispensable as packing, by the expanded graphite 52, so that the shaft seal portion of the fluid device is sealed with high sealing performance. It is supposed to be possible.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Patent No. 3101916 (FIG. 2 and FIG. 8)
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional gland packing material 50 having the internal reinforcement structure, high shape retention cannot be expected for the expanded graphite 52 covering the surface or both surfaces of the metal fiber 51 such as stainless steel. That is, the conventional gland packing material 50 having an inner reinforcing structure has a drawback that it is inferior in shape retaining property while high sealing performance is obtained. As described above, when a plurality of the gland packing materials 50 inferior in shape retention are collected and the grant packing 53 is manufactured by braiding or twisting, the expanded graphite 52 is dropped during braiding or twisting. For this reason, the elasticity of the grant packing 53 is lowered, and preferable properties for sealing such as compressibility and restoration property are lost, and the sealability of the grant packing 53 is lowered.
[0006]
In addition, since the metal fiber 51 and the expanded graphite 52 are bonded together with a large amount of adhesive, the adhesive is cured, the affinity of the expanded graphite 52, the compression recovery rate, and the like are lowered, and the sealing performance is adversely affected. When the gland packing 53 is manufactured with such a gland packing material 50, when used under a high temperature condition, the adhesive is burned out, so that permeation leakage increases, and the sealing performance is lowered.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and a high tensile strength is imparted to the internally reinforced spread sheet, which can be easily braided or twisted. Provided is a gland packing material that can prevent sealing and maintain high shape retention, and that can prevent adhesive curing, adhesive burnout, and the like, and a gland packing manufactured using the gland packing material. The purpose is that.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the gland packing material according to the first aspect of the present invention includes a base material in which a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet is provided on at least one side of a band-shaped expanded graphite with the spread sheet on the inside. The twisted reinforcement is formed between the fibers in the fiber bundle. And face the expanded graphiteThere are many openings, these openingsThe opening is formed by compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on a reinforcing material provided withIt is characterized by the fact that expanded graphite is allowed to face.
[0009]
In the gland packing material according to the second aspect of the present invention, a base material in which a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet is provided on at least one surface of the strip-like expanded graphite is wound with the spread sheet inside, and this winding The formed reinforcement is formed between the fibers in the fiber bundle. And face the expanded graphiteThere are many openings, these openingsThe opening is formed by compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on a reinforcing material provided withIt is characterized by the fact that expanded graphite is allowed to face.
[0010]
In the gland packing material according to the invention described in claim 3, a base material in which a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet is provided on at least one surface of the band-shaped expanded graphite is wound and twisted with the spread sheet as the inside. This rolled and twisted reinforcement is formed between the fibers in the fiber bundleAnd face the expanded graphiteThere are many openings, these openingsThe opening is formed by compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on a reinforcing material provided withIt is characterized by the fact that expanded graphite is allowed to face.
[0011]
As in the fourth aspect of the invention, it is preferable to provide a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet on one side of the band-shaped expanded graphite.
[0012]
As in the invention described in claim 5, strip-like expanded graphite may be provided on both surfaces of the reinforcing material made of the spread sheet.
[0013]
A gland packing according to a sixth aspect of the invention is characterized in that a plurality of gland packing materials according to any one of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth aspects are braided.
[0014]
A gland packing according to the invention described in claim 7 is characterized in that a plurality of gland packing materials according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are twisted.
[0015]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the gland packing having an inner reinforcing structure in which the opened sheet is twisted with the opened sheet inside, and the opened sheet is covered with the expanded graphite using the opened sheet as the inner reinforcing material. A material is obtained.
Also,By compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on the reinforcing materialExpanded graphite is formed between fibers in a fiber bundle provided in a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet. And face the expanded graphiteThe anchoring action that engages with the reinforcing material facing a large number of openings increases the bonding force between the expanded graphite and the reinforcing material. To zeroEven when the shape retention is improved, the reinforcing material becomes difficult to be separated from the band-shaped expanded graphite during braiding or twisting for manufacturing the gland packing, and the external reinforcing effect can be effectively exhibited.
In addition, reduce the amount of adhesive usedTo zeroBy being able to do, the fall of the characteristics (affinity, compression recovery property, etc.) of the strip-like expanded graphite by adhesive hardening can be controlled.
In addition, since a reinforcing material is wound inside the gland packing material, a sandwich structure is formed when compression or pressure is applied, so that the movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, that is, the amount of the expanded graphite particles protruding is suppressed. Therefore, the sealing performance can be improved by preventing the reduction of the seal surface pressure, improving the pressure resistance performance, and increasing the pressure contact force to the mating member.
[0016]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, a ground packing material having an inner reinforcement structure in which the spread sheet is covered with the expanded graphite by using the spread sheet as an inner reinforcing material by winding the opened sheet. Is obtained.
[0017]
According to the invention described in claim 3, there is provided a gland packing material in which the spread sheet is covered with band-shaped expanded graphite by using the spread sheet as an inner reinforcing material by winding and twisting the spread sheet. can get.
[0018]
Even if a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet is provided on one side of the band-shaped expanded graphite as in the invention described in claim 4, the spread sheet can be wound inside the gland packing material to be internally reinforced. It is possible to suppress a decrease in properties (such as affinity and compression recovery properties) of expanded graphite.
[0019]
According to the invention described in claim 5, since it has a double structure of band-shaped expanded graphite in which band-shaped expanded graphite is arranged on both sides of a reinforcing material made of a spread sheet, preferable properties for sealing such as compressibility and resilience are obtained. Further improvement can be achieved and higher sealing performance can be obtained. Moreover, since the amount of entrapping the reinforcing material inside increases and the reinforcing material can be reinforced inside, the tensile strength of the gland packing material is further improved.
[0020]
According to the invention described in claim 6, since the gland packing is braided using a plurality of the gland packing materials, it is possible to prevent the expanded graphite from falling off during braiding and improve the shape retention. it can. For this reason, the elasticity of the grant packing is not lowered, and the sealing properties of the grant packing can be improved while maintaining favorable sealing properties such as compressibility and recoverability. Further, even when used under high heat conditions, the sealing performance is not deteriorated due to burning of the adhesive.
[0021]
According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, since the gland packing is twisted by using a plurality of the gland packing materials, the expanded graphite is prevented from falling off during the twisting process, thereby improving the shape retention. be able to.
[0022]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of a gland packing material according to the first aspect of the invention. In this figure, the gland packing material 1 includes a reinforcing material 20 made of a spread sheet 2 and a band-shaped expanded graphite. 3, the base material 4 thus formed is twisted sequentially from the end in the longitudinal direction so that the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 faces inward, and opened with the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3. It covers the fiber sheet 2 and is provided in the twisted reinforcing material 20.And face the expanded graphiteThe gland packing material 1 is formed by winding all of the spread sheet 2 and one end portion 5 in the width direction of the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 so that the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 faces the numerous openings 20A shown in FIGS. It is comprised in the inner reinforcement structure where the spread sheet 2 was interposed between the strip-shaped expanded graphites 3. The numerous openings 20A are,Prepare by forming a local tear in advance before twisting by slightly expanding the fibers adjacent to each other at many parts of the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2.Ru.
[0023]
The reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 is a flat carbon fiber bundle having a predetermined width dimension and thickness dimension using, for example, a multifilament yarn obtained by bundling a large number of extremely thin and long carbon fibers. It can be obtained by providing and expanding the carbon fiber bundle further in the width direction.
[0024]
As described above, if the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 is the gland packing material 1 having the inner reinforcing structure covered with the band-shaped expanded graphite 3, the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 becomes the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2. Even if the use of an adhesive is omitted, the shape-retaining property can be improved because the bonding force between the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 and the reinforcing material 20 is enhanced by the anchor action that engages with the reinforcing material 20 facing the many openings 20A provided. Can be increased. That is, even if an adhesive is not used, the reinforcing material 20 becomes difficult to separate from the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 at the time of braiding or twisting for manufacturing the gland packing, and the external reinforcing effect can be effectively exhibited. Further, by omitting the use of the adhesive, it is possible to suppress the deterioration of the properties (affinity, compression recovery property, etc.) of the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3 due to the adhesive curing. Further, the braid for producing the gland packing described later also by the fact that all of the spread sheets 2 and one end portion 5 in the width direction of the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3 are wound in the gland packing material 1 in a winding shape. Since the spread sheet 2 is difficult to separate at the time of twisting or twisting, the inner reinforcing effect can be effectively exhibited, and the band-like expanded graphite 3 gives favorable properties in terms of sealing such as compressibility and resilience. High sealing performance can be obtained. Further, when compression or pressure is applied, the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 has a sandwich structure, and the movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, so that the shape retention can be improved.
[0025]
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of the gland packing material according to the second aspect of the invention. In this figure, the gland packing material 1 includes a reinforcing material 20 made of a spread sheet 2 and a band-shaped expanded graphite. 3, the spread sheet 2 is covered with the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 so that the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 faces inward, and the spread sheet 2 All and one end portion 5 of the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 are wound around the inside of the gland packing material 1 in a roll shape, and the band-like shape is formed in the numerous openings 20A shown in FIGS. The expanded graphite 3 is made to face the inner reinforcing structure in which the spread sheet 2 is interposed between the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3. The numerous openings 20A are,Prepare by forming a local tear in advance before winding by slightly expanding the adjacent fibers at a large number of parts of the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 so as to separate each other.Ru.
[0026]
Thus, if the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 is the gland packing material 1 having an inner reinforcing structure covered with the band-shaped expanded graphite 3, the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 is provided in the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2. The anchoring action that engages with the reinforcing member 20 facing the numerous openings 20A increases the bonding force between the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 and the reinforcing member 20, so that the shape retention can be maintained even if the use of an adhesive is omitted.
[0027]
As in the gland packing material according to the third aspect of the present invention, the spread sheet 2 is provided on one side of the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3 so that the spread sheet 2 is directed inward. Even if the inner reinforcement structure is wound and twisted, the same operation and effect as the gland packing material 1 according to the invention of claim 1 of FIG. 1 or claim 2 of FIG. 2 can be obtained. The external appearance of the gland packing material 1 configured in this way is substantially the same as that in FIG.
[0028]
The spread sheet 2 can be obtained, for example, by the following procedure..
[0029]
That is, as shown in FIG. 5, a flat filament shape having a width W = 4.00 mm and a thickness T = 0.20 mm using a multifilament yarn obtained by bundling 12,000 carbon fibers having a diameter of 7 μm. A bundle of carbon fibers 2A is provided.
[0030]
The carbon fiber bundle 2A is sent out in the longitudinal direction while controlling the speed, and the airflow is passed in the crossing direction while maintaining a predetermined overfeed amount. Then, as shown in FIG. 6, it can be obtained by expanding to a width W1 = 25.00 mm and a thickness T1 = 0.03 mm.
[0031]
Figure7By expanding the expanded graphite powder 3A on the spread sheet 2 having a width W1 = 25.00 mm and a thickness T1 = 0.03 mm shown in FIG.8As shown, the spread sheet 2 may be provided on one side of the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3 compressed to have a width W2 = 25.00 mm and a thickness T2 = 0.25 mm to form the base material 4.
[0032]
Figure9As shown in FIG. 3, the base material 4 may be formed by stacking the spread sheet 2 narrower than the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 on the upper surface of the band-shaped expanded graphite 3.
[0033]
Also figure10As shown in FIG. 4, the base material 4 may be formed by stacking the spread fiber sheet 2 wider than the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 on the upper surface of the band-shaped expanded graphite 3.
[0034]
In this way, the spread sheet 2 is overlapped on the upper surface of the band-shaped expanded graphite 3 to form the base material 4 provided with the reinforcing material 20 made of the spread sheet 2 on one side of the band-shaped expanded graphite 3, and at this time, the reinforcing material 20 The carbon fibers 2 that are adjacent to each other at a large number of sites are slightly expanded so as to be separated from each other, and a plurality of openings 20A are provided in advance by forming local fissures, and the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3 is allowed to face here. An anchor action is caused by the strip-shaped expanded graphite 3 facing the many openings 20A provided in the method, or when the base material 4 is twisted, wound into a wound shape, or wound and twisted.
[0035]
As the carbon fiber 2, one having a diameter of 3 μm to 15 μm is preferable. If the diameter is less than 3 μm, there is a risk of breakage when twisting, and if the diameter exceeds 15 μm, twisting becomes difficult. However, the smaller the diameter of the carbon fiber 2 is, the better the sealing property is, so the range of 5 μm to 9 μm is optimal.
[0036]
Further, the thickness T1 of the spread sheet 2 is preferably in the range of 10 μm to 300 μm, more preferably 30 μm to 100 μm. When the thickness T1 is less than 10 μm, the inner reinforcing effect is lowered and it is difficult to produce a uniform sheet. On the other hand, if the thickness T1 exceeds 300 μm, the inner reinforcing effect can be enhanced, but on the other hand, it becomes difficult to apply the twist, and leakage from the reinforcing material portion occurs.
[0037]
Figure11As shown in Fig. 2, a strip 4 having the same width as that of the spread sheet 2 is provided on both sides of the spread sheet 2 to form a substrate 4, and the substrate 4 is twisted or wound. By hanging, figure12The gland packing material 1 in FIG.11By winding the base material 4 in a rolled shape,12The gland packing material 1 of (b) is comprised. Such a land packing material 1 has a double structure of strip-like expanded graphite 3 in which the strip-like expanded graphite 3 is arranged on both sides of the spread sheet 2, so that preferable properties in terms of sealing such as compressibility and recoverability are further improved. And still higher sealing performance can be obtained. Figure13The base material 4 which provided the strip | belt-shaped expanded graphite 3 with a larger width dimension than this spread sheet 2 on both surfaces of the spread sheet 2 may be sufficient. Also figure14The base material 4 which provided the strip | belt-shaped expanded graphite 3 with a smaller width dimension than this spread sheet 2 on both surfaces of the spread sheet 2 as shown in FIG. In addition, the figure15The base material 4 which provided the spread sheet 2 with a width dimension smaller than this strip | belt-shaped expanded graphite 3 on both surfaces of the strip | belt-shaped expanded graphite 3 as shown in FIG.
[0038]
By preparing a plurality of the gland packing materials 1 of the embodiment described above and concentrating them with a braiding machine, for example, FIG.16Such a string-like gland packing 8 can be manufactured. Figure16The figure shows a gland packing 8 in which eight gland packing materials 1 are converged and knitted into eight corners.
[0039]
The gland packing 8 is braided by using a plurality of gland packing materials 1 described above, that is, a plurality of gland packing materials 1 that have high shape retention, excellent sealing properties, and are expected to be improved in productivity. Therefore, the gland packing 8 having excellent shape retention and sealing properties can be provided at a low cost. Further, even when used under high heat conditions, the sealing performance is not deteriorated due to the burnout of the adhesive, so that excellent sealing performance can also be obtained.
[0040]
On the other hand, by preparing a plurality of the gland packing materials 1 and converging and twisting the plurality, for example, FIG.17Such a string-like gland packing 8 can be manufactured. Figure17Then, roll forming was carried out while converging and twisting the six gland packing materials 1. Thus, the twist packing gland packing 8 may be sufficient. That is, the shape retaining property is high, the sealing property is excellent, and the improvement in productivity can be expected, so that the inexpensive gland packing material 1 is twisted to form a shape, so that the shape retaining property and the sealing property are excellent. The gland packing 8 can be provided at low cost. Further, even when used under high heat conditions, the sealing performance is not deteriorated due to the burnout of the adhesive, so that excellent sealing performance can also be obtained.
[0041]
In the embodiment described above, the spread sheet 2 in which the carbon fiber bundle 2A provided by using multifilament yarn obtained by bundling 12,000 carbon fibers having a diameter of 7 μm is expanded in the width direction will be described. However, instead of carbon fiber, a fiber sheet of brittle fiber material such as glass fiber, silica fiber, ceramic fiber such as alumina or alumina silica, or a metal wire such as stainless steel is used. Even if the spread sheet 2 in which a fiber bundle of tough fiber material such as aramid fiber or PBO fiber is expanded in the width direction is used, the same actions and effects as in the above embodiment can be obtained.
[0042]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, since the gland packing material and the gland packing are configured, the following special effects are achieved.
[0043]
According to the invention of any one of claims 1, 2, or 3, the gland packing material having an inner reinforcement structure in which the spread sheet is used as an inner reinforcing material and the spread sheet is covered with band-shaped expanded graphite. Obtainable. Also,By compressing and molding expanded graphite powder on the reinforcing materialBand-shaped expanded graphite is formed between the fibers in the fiber bundle provided in the reinforcing material consisting of the spread sheet. And face the expanded graphiteThe anchoring action that engages with the reinforcing material facing a large number of openings increases the bonding force between the expanded graphite and the reinforcing material. To zeroEven when the shape retention is improved, the reinforcing material becomes difficult to separate from the band-shaped expanded graphite at the time of braiding or twisting for manufacturing the gland packing, and the internal reinforcing effect can be effectively exhibited. In addition, reduce the amount of adhesive usedTo zeroBy being able to do, the fall of the characteristics (affinity, compression recovery property, etc.) of the strip-like expanded graphite by adhesive hardening can be controlled. In addition, even if all of the spread sheet and a part of the band-shaped expanded graphite are wound inside, the spread sheet is difficult to separate from the band-shaped expanded graphite at the time of braiding or twisting to manufacture the gland packing. The inner reinforcing effect can be exhibited effectively, and the band-like expanded graphite imparts favorable sealing properties such as compressibility and resilience, so that high sealing properties can be obtained. Furthermore, when compression or pressure is applied, the band-shaped expanded graphite becomes a sandwich structure, and the movement of the expanded graphite particles is suppressed, that is, the amount of the expanded graphite particles protruding is suppressed, and the reduction of the seal surface pressure is prevented. The sealing performance can also be improved by improving the pressure resistance and increasing the pressure contact force to the mating member. In addition, it is easy to manufacture the outer reinforcement structure by twisting the substrate, winding it in a wound shape, or twisting it to form an outer reinforcement structure, thus improving productivity and providing an inexpensive gland packing material can do.
[0044]
According to the invention of claim 4, without separating both the strip-shaped expanded graphite and the spread sheet, it is twisted or wound in a spiral shape or wound and twisted, and the spread sheet is placed inside. It is possible to easily obtain a gland packing material having an inner reinforcing structure.
[0045]
According to the invention described in claim 5, since it becomes a double structure of expanded ribbon graphite in which expanded ribbon graphite is arranged on both sides of the reinforcing material made of the spread sheet, preferable properties for sealing such as compressibility and recoverability Can be further improved, and higher sealing performance can be obtained. wear.
[0046]
According to the invention described in claim 6 or claim 7, since a plurality of the gland packing materials are used for braiding or twisting, it is provided at a low cost as a gland packing having excellent shape retention and sealing properties. be able to. In addition, even when used under high heat conditions, the sealing performance does not deteriorate due to burning of the adhesive.
