本発明は、洗面器の上方に、別体に構成した鏡と収納部材とを隣接させて配置して成る洗面化粧台の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
図４は従来の洗面化粧台Ｓを示すものであって、キャビネットＫの上面部に洗面器Ｌが載設され、さらにその上方に、それぞれ別体に構成した鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとが隣接するように配置されている。ここで収納部材Ｕとは、例えば収納キャビネットや、収納棚、収納ボックスなどである。

鏡Ｍ及び収納部材Ｕの取付構造は、躯体壁面の表面に取付基板を設け、この取付基板上に鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとを取着するもののほか、図４（Ｂ）に示すように鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとを躯体壁面Ｗ上へ直接取り付ける方式が採用されることもある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
図４（Ｂ）のように、鏡Ｍ及び収納部材Ｕを躯体壁面Ｗ上へ直接取り付ける場合、当該壁面Ｗの凹凸（不陸）のため、鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとの境界Ｇに隙間が生じることがある。隙間が在ると洗面化粧台Ｓの見栄えを悪くするだけでなく、使用時に飛散した水が隙間を通って背面側へ浸透し、躯体壁面Ｗを劣化させるおそれがあった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明が前記従来の問題点を解決するために採用した手段の特徴とするところは、洗面器の上方に、鏡と収納部材とを隣接させて配置してなる洗面化粧台において、鏡と収納部材との間であって、鏡と収納部材の背面に位置する取付面上における鏡と収納部材との境界部に相当する位置へ、変形可能な防水性の隙間閉塞具をあらかじめ配設し、該隙間閉塞具を鏡の側端面及び収納部材の側面に圧接させたことにある。上記構成により、本発明に係る洗面化粧台は、躯体壁面の不陸のために鏡と収納部材との間に隙間が生じたとしても、これを変形可能な隙間閉塞具で充填するから、飛散水が背面側の躯体壁面に到達するのを阻止できると共に、見栄えも向上させる。

【発明の実施の形態】
図１及び図２は本発明を適用した洗面化粧台Ｓの一例を示すものであって、図１は収納部材Ｕと隙間閉塞具Ｎとを分解した斜視図、図２は施工後の正面図である。同洗面化粧台Ｓは、床面等に設置したキャビネットＫの上に洗面器Ｌが載設され、この洗面器Ｌの後端部上方に、鏡Ｍと、収納ボックス、収納棚、又は収納キャビネット等から成る収納部材Ｕとを隣接するように配置して施工される。

本発明に係る洗面化粧台Ｓの特色は、鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとの間に、変形可能で且つ防水性を有する隙間閉塞具Ｎを介設したところにある。このような隙間閉塞具Ｎとしては、合成ゴムか合成樹脂フォームで製作した中空筒状のチューブや中実の棒材等が挙げられ、これらは弾性変形可能で、且つ、十分な防水性・耐水性を備えている。あるいは、ポリマーゲルのような塑性変形する材質で、この隙間閉塞具Ｎを製作することも考えられる。なお、隙間閉塞具Ｎは、鏡Ｍ及び収納部材Ｕの高さ寸法とほぼ等しい長さを有していることが必要である。

前記洗面化粧台Ｓの施工は、まず、床面上の所定の設置個所にキャビネットＫを配置し、その上に洗面器Ｌを載設すると共に、所要の配管接続作業等を施す。しかる後、さらにその上部において躯体壁面へ鏡Ｍを取り付ける。これは、鏡Ｍの上下端縁に装着したジョイナーＪを壁面に固定することで、当該鏡Ｍを取着する方式のほか、鏡Ｍの裏面を両面粘着テープ等で躯体壁面へ直接固定する方式も採用可能である。

引き続き、鏡Ｍの側方へ、間に隙間閉塞具Ｎを介装させた状態で、収納部材Ｕを配置し、これを躯体壁面に取り付ける。このとき、図３（Ａ）に例示するような、中空筒状にして弾性変形を容易にした隙間閉塞具Ｎを、躯体壁面Ｗにおける鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとの境界部に相当する位置へ、あらかじめ取着しておき、鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとを躯体壁面Ｗへ取り付けるに際し、図３（Ｂ）の如く、両者の間でこの隙間閉塞具Ｎを左右から弾圧的に挟持することで、鏡Ｍと収納部材Ｕとの間の隙間を水密的に充填することができる。

本発明の実施形態は、以上説明したものに限定されるものではない。例えば、本発明は、鏡Ｍ及び収納部材Ｕを躯体壁面へ直接取り付ける構造の洗面化粧台に適用した場合に優れた効果を発揮するが、躯体壁面との間に取付基板を設ける構造の洗面化粧台に適用することも妨げない。その他、本発明は、実施の状況により適宜応用することが可能である。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、洗面器の上方へ、それぞれ別体に構成した鏡と収納部材とを隣接するように配置してなる洗面化粧台において、鏡及び収納部材を躯体壁面上へ直接取り付けたときに、当該壁面の不陸のため鏡と収納部材との境界に隙間が生じる場合であっても、これを変形可能で且つ防水性を有する隙間閉塞具で水密的に充填するから、見栄えが向上するだけでなく、飛散水が上記隙間を通って背面側の躯体壁面に到達するのを阻止して、躯体壁面の早期劣化を防止できる。

また、隙間閉塞具は変形可能であるから、鏡及び収納部材の取付位置に対する許容誤差範囲を拡大することができ、施工時には、鏡に収納部材を突き合わせる際の衝撃吸収機能を発揮する。
