Description

【0001】
【0047】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an alternator system that generates power with an alternator and supplies generated power to an electronic device or a battery.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a conventional alternator system, for example, there is one mounted on a vehicle, which generates electric power by an alternator driven by an engine, supplies electric power to an in-vehicle electronic device, and charges an in-vehicle battery.
Field winding type alternators are often used as on-vehicle alternators.
In the field winding type alternator, a rotating magnetic field is created by rotating the rotor by the engine while a current is passed through the field winding formed on the rotor of the alternator. An alternating voltage is generated in the stator winding by interlinking with the stator winding.
The AC voltage is rectified, converted to DC, and supplied to the on-vehicle electronic device and the battery.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Generally, the generated power generated in the alternator is determined by the rotational speed of the rotor, the value of the field current flowing in the rotor field winding, and the electric load connected to the output of the alternator.
In an on-vehicle alternator, a battery and an on-vehicle electronic device are connected to the output as an electric load, and the output voltage of the alternator is kept substantially at the battery voltage.
As described above, the operating characteristics when the voltage to which the output of the alternator is connected are kept substantially constant are determined by the rotational speed of the rotor and the field current, as shown in FIG.
[0004]
As shown in FIG. 11A, power cannot be generated when the rotational speed of the rotor is less than Ns. However, when the rotational speed of the rotor exceeds Ns, the generated power increases rapidly as the rotational speed increases.
When the rotation speed of the rotor further increases, the increase rate of the generated power gradually decreases, and the generated power becomes a substantially constant value.
When the rotational speed of the rotor is constant, a large generated power can be obtained as the field current value increases, but the maximum generated power is not exceeded.
For this reason, in an onboard alternator system or the like, when the engine speed is low, the alternator rotor speed is low and power generation is impossible or the maximum power that can be generated is small. When is large, there is a problem that the amount of power generation may be insufficient.
[0005]
Moreover, (b) of FIG. 11 is a figure which shows the rotation speed of the rotor in an alternator, and the electric power generation efficiency at the time of the largest electric power generation output.
When the rotational speed of the rotor is relatively low, the power generation efficiency becomes the largest, and when the rotational speed further increases, the power generation efficiency continues to decrease.
Generally, in an alternator, the number of pole pairs of the rotor is increased and the electrical angular frequency is increased in order to reduce the rotor speed at which power can be generated and increase the maximum power generation in the low speed range. As a result, the rotational frequency of the magnetic flux increases and the iron loss increases.
[0006]
For this reason, when the rotation speed of the rotor of the alternator increases beyond a predetermined value, the power generation efficiency decreases.
That is, there is a problem that the power generation efficiency is low in the high rotation range of the rotor.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of such conventional problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an alternator system capable of generating power on the low rotation region side of a rotor, obtaining large generated power, and improving power generation efficiency. To do.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, in the invention according to claim 1, an alternator that performs regenerative power generation, a rotation speed sensor that detects the rotation speed of the alternator, a plurality of batteries having different voltages connectable to the output of the alternator, Based on the rotation speed of the alternator detected by the rotation speed sensor, the battery to be connected to the output of the alternator is selected, the connection destination determination unit that outputs the battery connection command value, and the output of the alternator according to the battery connection command value. Connection switching unit for switching the battery to be connectedAnd a field current control unit that controls a field current that flows to the rotor of the alternator, and the connection destination determination unit first controls the field current when the currently selected battery is different from the previously selected battery. The field current 0 command is output to the unit, and then the battery connection command value is output to the connection switching unit and the field current control unit. When the field current 0 command is input to the field current control unit, the rotor When the field connection current is set to approximately 0 and the battery connection command value is input, the field current is controlled according to the battery connection command value. To do.
[0008]
In the second aspect of the present invention, the connection destination determination unit selects a battery from which the alternator can obtain the largest generated power at the rotation speed of the alternator detected by the rotation speed sensor.
In the third aspect of the present invention, the connection destination determination unit selects the battery based on the power generation efficiency of the alternator at the rotation speed of the alternator detected by the rotation speed sensor.
[0010]
Claim4In the described invention, a remaining capacity detection unit that detects the remaining capacity of a plurality of batteries is provided, and the connection destination determination unit is provided when there is a battery whose remaining capacity detected by the remaining capacity detection unit is a predetermined value or less. Selected the battery with priority.
[0012]
【The invention's effect】
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a plurality of batteries having different voltages are selected, and the battery to be connected is selected based on the number of rotations of the rotor of the alternator. Since the power generation characteristics of the alternator are greatly influenced by the electric load connected to the output, the power generation characteristics are also switched by switching the battery to be connected. Connect the alternator to a battery that can generate appropriate power generation characteristics according to the rotation speed of the rotor. For example, when the rotation speed of the alternator is low, select a battery with a low voltage from among multiple batteries with different voltages. When the number of rotations of the rotor is high, connecting a battery with a high voltage from the batteries with different voltages to the output of the alternator enables power generation on the low rotation side of the rotor. Therefore, large generated power can be obtained and the power generation efficiency can be improved.
In addition, when switching the battery connected to the alternator, the field current that flows through the rotor is set to 0 before switching, so that the alternator is switched when the battery connection is switched with the field current flowing. A sudden torque change that may occur can be prevented, a torque shock can be reduced, and a load applied to the connection switching unit can be reduced.
[0013]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, the alternator is connected to a battery capable of obtaining the largest generated power among a plurality of batteries having different voltages at the detected number of rotations of the rotor.
As an example of the relationship between the rotational speed of the rotor and the maximum generated power in FIG. 12A, the output of the alternator is connected to a battery of voltage V1 and a battery of voltage V2 (however, V1 <V2). The relationship between rotation speed and generated power is shown.
[0014]
Comparing the maximum generated power when the output of the alternator is connected to the battery of voltage V2 and when the output of the alternator is connected to the battery of voltage V1, in the high speed range where the rotational speed of the rotor is Nc or more, the voltage When the V2 battery is connected, a larger maximum generated power can be obtained. However, when the rotational speed of the rotor is less than Nc, a larger maximum generated power can be obtained by connecting a battery with the voltage V1.
In addition, when the rotational speed of the rotor is Nb or less, the alternator cannot generate power when a battery of voltage V2 is connected, but when the battery of voltage V1 is connected, power generation is possible. .
[0015]
In other words, by connecting to a battery that can obtain the largest amount of generated power according to the rotational speed of the rotor, it is possible to generate power even on the low-rotation region side of the rotor where power generation was impossible. Although it was possible, larger generated power can be obtained in the rotation region where only small generated power was obtained, and the power generation efficiency can be improved.
Conventionally, in order to expand the rotor speed range where power can be generated to the low speed side, it is necessary to increase the number of pole pairs, resulting in an increase in iron loss and power generation in a region where the rotor speed is high. The efficiency was decreasing.
However, in the present invention, on the low rotation speed side of the rotor, by switching the battery to be connected, it is possible to widen the rotation speed region where power generation is possible, so the number of pole pairs can be reduced and iron loss is reduced. The power generation efficiency on the high rotation speed side of the rotor can also be improved.
[0016]
In the third aspect of the invention, the alternator is connected to a battery capable of obtaining the maximum power generation efficiency among a plurality of batteries having different voltages at the detected rotational speed of the rotor.
FIG. 12B shows the relationship between the rotational speed of the rotor and the power generation efficiency when the output of the alternator is connected to a battery of voltage V1 and a battery of voltage V2 (where V1 <V2).
Comparing the power generation efficiency when the output of the alternator is connected to the battery with the voltage V2 and when the output of the alternator is connected to the battery with the low voltage V1, in the rotation region where the rotational speed of the rotor is Nd or more, the voltage A higher power generation efficiency can be obtained by connecting the battery of V2, but when the rotation speed of the rotor is less than Nd, a higher power generation efficiency can be obtained by connecting the voltage V1.
[0017]
Further, in a region where the rotational speed of the rotor is low, by switching the battery to be connected, it is possible to generate power even in a region where the rotational speed of the rotor, which has conventionally been impossible, is impossible.
Therefore, it is possible to generate power on the low rotation region side of the rotor, and further improve the power generation efficiency.
Moreover, since the rotation speed region in which power generation is possible can be expanded, the number of pole pairs can be reduced and the iron loss can be reduced, so that the power generation efficiency when the rotor rotation speed is high can be improved.
[0018]
In invention of Claim 4,, BaSince an alternator is preferentially connected to a battery having a battery remaining capacity of a predetermined value or less, insufficient charging of the battery can be prevented.
[0020]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to examples.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of an embodiment of the present invention applied to a vehicle having a 12V power supply system.
The alternator 1 is a field winding generator that performs regenerative power generation, and includes a rotor 3 driven by the engine 2, a stator 4 that generates an AC voltage, and a three-phase all that rectifies the AC voltage generated in the stator 4. A wave rectifier circuit 5 is provided.
The output of the three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit 5, that is, the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the connection switching unit 6.
[0021]
The connection switching unit 6 connects the output of the three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit 5 to the 6V battery 8 or 12V battery 9 according to the determination by the connection destination determination unit 7.
The 6V battery is also connected to a DC / DC converter 10, and the DC / DC converter 10 is connected to a 12V battery 9 and a vehicle electrical load 11.
The connection destination determination unit 7 is connected to a rotation speed sensor 12 that detects the rotation speed of the alternator 1 and a field current control unit 13 that controls a field current flowing through the rotor 3 of the alternator 1.
[0022]
The field current control unit 13 is connected to a voltage sensor 14 that detects the output voltage of the three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit 5 of the alternator 1.
Based on the rotation speed of the rotor 3 detected by the rotation speed sensor 12, the connection destination determination unit 7 determines which of the 6V battery 8 and the 12V battery 9 the output of the alternator 1 is connected to, and battery connection As the command value, a 6V battery connection command or a 12V battery connection command is output.
[0023]
In accordance with the battery connection command value output from the connection destination determination unit 7, the field current control unit 13 causes the generated voltage of the alternator 1 detected by the voltage sensor 14 to be substantially equal to the voltage of the connected battery. The field current flowing through the rotor 3 is feedback controlled.
Although not shown, the field current flowing through the rotor 3 is supplied from the output of the alternator 1 or the 12V battery 9.
The vehicle electrical load 11 is a vehicle-mounted power consumer device including a headlight and various actuators.
The DC / DC converter 10 is a converter for boosting the voltage from the 6V battery 8 and charging the 12V battery 9.
[0024]
FIG. 2 shows the configuration of the alternator 1 and the field current control unit 13.
The rotor 3 is connected to the engine 2 via a shaft 22, and slip rings 23 and 24 for supplying a field current are attached to the field winding 21 of the rotor 3.
The field current is supplied to the field winding 21 by sliding the brushes 25 and 26 attached to the wiring connected to the field current control unit 13 on the slip rings 23 and 24.
[0025]
In the field current control unit 13, the conduction of the transistor Tr1 is controlled by the regulator 27 so as to output a desired field current, and is output to the rotor 3 via the diode D1.
The stator 4 includes a stator winding 28 that is star-connected, and outputs three-phase AC power.
The three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit 5 is composed of six diodes, and rectifies and outputs the three-phase AC power output from the stator 4.
[0026]
Next, the operation of the alternator system configured as described above will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in FIG.
First, in step 101, the rotation speed sensor 12 detects the rotation speed of the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 and outputs it to the connection destination determination unit 7.
In step 102, the connection destination determination unit 7 determines whether or not the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is less than N3.
N3, which is the rotor speed at which the maximum generated power is larger when the 12V battery 9 is connected than when the 6V battery 8 is connected, is obtained in advance through experiments or the like and stored in the connection destination determination unit 7. Details will be described later.
If the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is less than N3, the process proceeds to step 103. If the rotation speed is N3 or more, the routine proceeds to step 107.
[0027]
In step 103, the connection destination determination unit 7 outputs a 6V battery connection command as a battery connection command value to the connection switching unit 6 and the field current control unit 13.
In step 104, the connection switching unit 6 connects the output of the alternator 1 to the 6V battery 8.
In step 105, the voltage sensor 14 detects the output voltage of the alternator 1.
In step 106, the field current control unit 13 controls the field current flowing through the rotor 3 so that the output voltage of the alternator 1 detected by the voltage sensor 14 is approximately 6 V, and the process returns to step 101.
[0028]
In step 107, the connection destination determination unit 7 outputs a 12V battery connection command as a battery connection command value to the connection switching unit 6 and the field current control unit 13.
In step 108, the connection switching unit 6 connects the output of the alternator 1 to the 12V battery 9.
In step 109, the voltage sensor 14 detects the output voltage of the alternator 1.
In step 110, the field current control unit 13 controls the field current flowing through the rotor 3 so that the output voltage of the alternator 1 detected by the voltage sensor 14 is approximately 12 V, and the process returns to step 101.
[0029]
FIG. 4 shows the relationship between the rotational speed of the rotor 3 and the generated power when the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the 6V battery 8 or the 12V battery 9.
When the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is N3 or more, it is possible to obtain larger maximum generated power by connecting the 12V battery 9, but when the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is less than N3, the 6V battery 8 is connected. The larger maximum generated power can be obtained.
Further, when the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is N2 or less, the alternator 1 cannot generate power when the 12V battery 9 is connected, but can generate power when the 6V battery 8 is connected. .
[0030]
In this embodiment, when the rotational speed of the rotor is less than N3, the output of the alternator 1 is connected to a low voltage 6V battery, and when the rotational speed of the rotor is N3 or more, it is connected to a high voltage 12V battery. By doing so, power generation is possible even in the region from the rotational speed N1 to N2 of the rotor, where power generation was not possible in the past, and the rotational speed N2 was able to generate power but only small generated power was obtained. To N3, a larger amount of generated power can be obtained.
While the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the 6V battery 8, the 12V battery 9 is not supplied with power from the alternator 1, but is charged from the 6V battery 8 to the 12V battery 9 via the DC / DC converter 10. Is done.
[0031]
Also, in the region where the rotor speed is low, connecting the alternator 1 to a 6V battery can widen the rotor speed region where power can be generated, so the number of pole pairs of the rotor can be reduced and iron loss can be reduced. Since it is reduced, the power generation efficiency when the rotational speed of the rotor is high can be improved.
Therefore, power generation is possible even on the low rotation region side of the rotor, large generated power can be obtained, and power generation efficiency can be improved.
[0032]
Next, FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment in which the present invention is applied to a vehicle equipped with a 14V battery 33 and a 42V battery 34 having an increased charging capacity in order to cope with an increase in mounted electronic devices.
In this embodiment, the output of the alternator is connected to the battery that has the highest power generation efficiency when the maximum generated power is output.
The connection switching unit 31 connects the output of the alternator 1 to the 14V battery 33 or the 42V battery 34 according to the determination by the connection destination determination unit 32.
[0033]
The 14V battery 33 is connected to the 14V electric load 35 and the DC / DC converter 36.
The 42V battery 34 is connected to a 42V system vehicle electrical load 37 and a DC / DC converter 36.
The connection destination determination unit 32 includes a rotation speed sensor 12 that detects the rotation speed of the alternator 1, a voltage sensor 38 that detects the voltage of the 14V battery 33, and a field current that controls the field current that flows through the rotor 3 of the alternator 1. A control unit 39 is connected and includes a memory 40.
The field current control unit 37 is connected to a voltage sensor 14 that detects the output voltage of the alternator 1.
[0034]
Based on the rotational speed of the rotor 3 detected by the rotational speed sensor 12, the power generation efficiency, and the voltage of the 14 V battery 33 detected by the voltage sensor 38, the connection destination determination unit 32 outputs the output of the alternator 1 to the 14 V battery 33 and the 42 V battery. 34, which battery to connect to is determined, and a 14V battery connection command or a 42V battery connection command is output to the connection switching unit 31 and the field current control unit 39 as the battery connection command value.
When switching the battery to be connected, the field current 0 command is output to the field current control unit 39 before the battery connection command value is output.
[0035]
The connection switching unit 31 switches the battery to which the output of the alternator 1 is connected according to the battery connection command value.
In the field current control unit 39, when a field current 0 command is input, the field current flowing through the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 is set to approximately zero.
When a battery connection command value is input from the connection destination determination unit 32, a field that flows through the rotor 3 so that the output voltage of the alternator 1 detected by the voltage sensor 14 is substantially equal to the voltage of the connected battery. Feedback control of magnetic current. Although not shown, the field current flowing through the rotor 3 is supplied from the output of the alternator 1 or the 42V battery 34.
[0036]
The 14V electric load 35 is supplied with electric power from the 14V battery 33 among the on-vehicle power consumption components including headlights and various actuators, and the 42V electric load 37 is supplied with electric power from the 42V battery 34. Is. .
The DC / DC converter 36 is a converter for boosting the voltage from the 14V battery 33 and charging the 42V battery 34.
The voltage sensor 38 constitutes the remaining capacity detection unit of the invention.
Other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment shown in FIG.
[0037]
Next, the operation of the alternator system having the above configuration will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in FIG.
First, in step 201, the rotation speed sensor 12 detects the rotation speed of the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 and outputs it to the connection destination determination unit 32.
In step 202, the connection destination determination unit 32 determines whether or not the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is less than N6. N6, which is the rotational speed of the rotor with which the power generation efficiency is greater when the 42V battery 34 is connected than when the 14V battery 33 is connected, is obtained in advance by experiments or the like and stored in the memory 40 of the connection destination determination unit 32. Details will be described later.
If the rotation speed is N6 or more, the process proceeds to step 203. If the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is less than N6, the process proceeds to step 205.
[0038]
In step 203, the voltage of the 14V battery 33 is detected by the voltage sensor 38.
In step 204, the connection destination determination unit 32 determines whether or not the voltage of the 14V battery 33 detected in step 203 is equal to or lower than a predetermined value. If the voltage of the 14V battery 33 is equal to or lower than the predetermined value, it is desirable to charge the 14V battery 33 in order to prevent the 14V battery 33 from being insufficiently charged.
If the voltage of the 14V battery 33 exceeds the predetermined value, it is desirable to charge the 42V battery 34, and the process proceeds to step 213.
[0039]
In step 205, the connection destination determination unit 32 determines whether or not the battery connected immediately before stored in the memory 40 is the 14V battery 33.
If it is not the 14V battery 33, the process proceeds to step 206. If it is a 14V battery 33, the process proceeds to step 208.
In step 206, in order to prevent a torque shock from occurring when the battery connected to the output of the alternator 1 is switched from the 42V battery 34 to the 14V battery 33, the connection destination determination unit 32 first starts the field current 0. The command is output to the field current control unit 39.
In step 207, the field current control unit 39 sets the field current flowing through the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 to substantially zero.
[0040]
In step 208, the connection destination determination unit 32 outputs a 14V battery connection command as a battery connection command value to the connection switching unit 31 and the field current control unit 39.
In step 209, the connection switching unit 31 connects the output of the alternator 1 to the 14V battery 33.
In step 210, the battery connected this time is stored in the memory 40.
In step 211, the voltage sensor 14 detects the output voltage of the alternator 1.
In step 212, the field current control unit 39 controls the field current flowing through the rotor 3 so that the output voltage of the alternator 1 detected by the voltage sensor 14 is approximately 14 V, and the process returns to step 201.
[0041]
In step 213, the connection destination determination unit 32 determines whether or not the battery connected immediately before stored in the memory 40 is the 42V battery 34.
If it is not 42V battery 34, it will progress to step 214. If it is the 42V battery 34, the process proceeds to step 208.
In step 214, in order to prevent a torque shock from occurring when the battery connected to the output of the alternator 1 is switched from the 14V battery 33 to the 42V battery 34, the connection destination determination unit 32 first starts the field current 0. The command is output to the field current control unit 39.
In step 215, the field current control unit 39 sets the field current flowing through the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 to substantially zero.
In step 216, the connection destination determination unit 32 outputs a 42V battery connection command as a battery connection command value to the connection switching unit 31 and the field current control unit 39.
[0042]
In step 217, the connection switching unit 31 connects the output of the alternator 1 to the 42V battery 34.
In step 218, the battery connected this time is stored in the memory 40.
In step 219, the voltage sensor 14 detects the output voltage of the alternator 1.
In step 220, the field current control unit 39 controls the field current flowing through the rotor 3 so that the output voltage of the alternator 1 detected by the voltage sensor 14 is approximately 42 V, and the process returns to step 201.
[0043]
FIG. 7 shows the relationship between the rotational speed of the rotor 3 and the generated power when the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the 14V battery 33 or the 42V battery 34.
When the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is N6 or more, it is possible to obtain larger power generation efficiency by connecting the 42V battery 34. However, when the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is less than N6, it is better to connect the 14V battery 33. , Large power generation efficiency can be obtained.
Further, when the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is N5 or less, the alternator 1 cannot generate power when the 42V battery 34 is connected, but can generate power when the 14V battery 33 is connected. .
[0044]
In this embodiment, when the rotational speed of the rotor is less than N6, the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the low-voltage 14V battery 33. When the rotational speed of the rotor is N6 or more, the high-voltage 42V battery 34 is connected. By connecting to, it is possible to generate power even in the region of the rotational speeds N4 to N5 of the rotor, which has conventionally been impossible to generate power.
While the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the 14V battery 33, the 42V battery 34 is not supplied with power from the alternator 1, but is charged from the 14V battery 33 to the 42V battery 34 via the DC / DC converter 36. Is done.
[0045]
In the region where the rotor speed is low, the alternator 1 can be connected to the 14V battery 33 to widen the rotor speed region where power can be generated, thereby reducing the number of pole pairs and reducing iron loss. As a result, the power generation efficiency when the rotational speed of the rotor is high can be improved.
Therefore, it is possible to generate power from the low rotation region side of the rotor and improve the power generation efficiency.
[0046]
Furthermore, even when the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is N6 or more, if the remaining capacity of the 14V battery 33 is less than or equal to a predetermined value, the output of the alternator 1 is connected to the 14V battery 33. Can be prevented.
Further, when the battery connected to the alternator 1 is switched, the field current that is once passed through the rotor 3 is made substantially zero before switching.
For this reason, it is possible to prevent a sudden torque change that may occur in the alternator when the connection of the battery is switched while the field current is flowing, and to reduce the torque shock. The applied load can be reduced.
[0047]
Next, FIG. 8 shows a third embodiment in which a required power detection unit for detecting the generated power necessary for the vehicle is provided, and the output of the alternator is connected to a battery having the highest power generation efficiency when generating the required generated power. Show.
The connection switching unit 31 connects the output of the alternator 1 to the 14V battery 33 or the 42V battery 34 according to the determination by the connection destination determination unit 41.
The connection destination determination unit 41 includes a rotation speed sensor 12 that detects the rotation speed of the alternator 1, a necessary power detection unit 42 that calculates necessary generated power according to the vehicle state, and a voltage sensor 38 that detects the voltage of the 14V battery 33. A field current control unit 39 for controlling the field current flowing through the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 is connected and provided with a memory 43.
The field current control unit 39 is connected to a voltage sensor 14 that detects the output voltage of the alternator 1.
[0048]
A current sensor and a voltage sensor (not shown) are connected to the required power detection unit 42 to detect required generated power that is the sum of the power required by the on-board electronic device and the battery.
The memory 43 of the connection destination determination unit 41 stores a map that shows the relationship between the rotor rotational speed and the necessary generated power and the connection destination battery that provides the highest power generation efficiency, as shown in FIG.
[0049]
In the connection destination determination unit 41, the output of the alternator 1 is output from either the 14V battery 33 or the 42V battery 34 based on the rotational speed of the rotor 3, the required generated power detected by the required power detection unit 42, and the map stored in the memory 43. Whether to connect to the battery is determined, and a 14V battery connection command or a 42V battery connection command is output to the connection switching unit 31 and the field current control unit 39 as the battery connection command value.
When switching the battery to be connected, the field current 0 command is output to the field current control unit 39 before the battery connection command value is output.
Other configurations are the same as those of the second embodiment shown in FIG.
[0050]
Next, the operation of the alternator system configured as described above will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in FIG.
First, in step 301, the rotation speed sensor 12 detects the rotation speed of the rotor 3 of the alternator 1 and outputs it to the connection destination determination unit 41.
In step 302, the required power detection unit detects the necessary generated power in the vehicle and outputs it to the connection destination determination unit 41.
[0051]
In step 303, the connection destination determination unit 41 outputs the output of the alternator 1 from the rotation speed of the rotor 3, the necessary generated power detected by the required power detection unit 42, and the map stored in the memory 43. 34, the battery to be connected is selected, and when the 14V battery 33 is selected, the process proceeds to step 205 shown in FIG. 6, and the operation is performed in the same procedure as the flowchart shown in FIG.
When the 42 battery 34 is selected, the process proceeds to step 203 shown in FIG. 6, and the operation is performed in the same procedure as the flowchart shown in FIG.
[0052]
In the present embodiment, when the necessary generated power in the vehicle is generated by the alternator 1, the battery having the highest power generation efficiency in the alternator 1 is connected to the output of the alternator 1. Therefore, in addition to the effects of the second embodiment. The most efficient power generation can be performed with respect to the necessary generated power.
In each embodiment, the rotational speed of the rotor 3 is detected by the rotational speed sensor 12, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, an indirect method such as calculating the rotational speed of the rotor 3 from the rotational speed of the engine. But you can.
Further, any battery may be used as long as it has a function of keeping the voltage substantially constant, and the present invention can be applied to a battery including a capacitor and the like.
