Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an apparatus for stimulating motor organs and muscle tissue, particularly in the foot and back ranges. This type of equipment is used for rehabilitation, for example, to increase muscles and bones.
In the case of this type of known training device, for example a bicycle ergometer, the pedal is operated through the leg muscles against an adjustable resistance. The muscle work required in this case places a heavy load on the cardiac circulatory system. This is disadvantageous in many applications that target only muscle and bone augmentation.
Starting from this, the underlying problem of the present invention is that the device of the kind mentioned at the beginning, which guarantees a therapeutically effective stimulation of the muscles of the motor organs in the range of the legs and back, in particular as little as possible in the circulatory system Is to develop.
In order to solve this problem, a combination of features described in claim 1 is proposed. Advantageous embodiments and developments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
The solution according to the invention is based on the recognition that a therapeutically effective stimulation of muscle fibers is only possible when it is vibrated and stimulated within a predetermined threshold range by a basic tension that depends on the constitution. This basic tension is of course adjusted by the weight of the leg muscles. On the other hand, periodic tension can be introduced into muscle tissue by an appropriate drive mechanism. In consideration of this recognition, the present invention proposes two treads arranged on a gantry. The tread can be lifted and lowered by a drive mechanism so as to reciprocate in a push-pull manner. When the patient stands on both treads with his toes, the patient develops basic tension in their musculature by slightly bending the knee. The vibration of the tread is superimposed on this basic tension. Due to the vibrations in the opposite directions of both treads, the periodic movement is received through the joints and the regulation of the autonomic nervous system without moving the center of gravity of the body.
Since all muscles have response times and gradual periods on the order of tens of milliseconds, it is advantageous if the tread lift frequency is adapted to this time. Correspondingly, in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a control device is provided for operating the drive mechanism with a selectively adjustable lifting frequency. In this case, the ascending / descending frequency can be adjusted to a value of 1 to 60 Hz, particularly 10 to 30 Hz. It is expedient if the lifting stroke is adjusted to 5-50 mm, in particular 10-30 mm, in order to harmonize the amplitude of the lifting movement with the state of the motor organ.
In a preferred structural embodiment of the present invention, a seesaw capable of reciprocating and swinging around a swinging shaft on a gantry is provided, and a seesaw bracket protruding from the swinging shaft includes a tread surface. This structure has the advantage that the amplitude of the lifting movement can be adapted to the individual requirements by spreading the foot somewhat wider. It is appropriate that each seesaw bracket is provided with an elevating mechanism that can be driven back and forth by a common rotational speed control type motor. At that time, the elevating mechanism is supported by a bearing fixed to the frame and can be driven by a common electric motor, each of which has a drive shaft, one end is supported eccentrically to the drive shaft, and the other end is pivoted on the seesaw bracket. It is a good idea to have a worn connection body. The drive shafts can be driven in a particularly opposite direction by means of a single toothed belt device connected to the driven shaft of the motor. In order to avoid undesired vibrations, it is expedient if each of the drive shafts supporting the connecting body is provided with one balance weight. The balance weight can be formed as an eccentric disk having a weight arranged on the drive shaft.
In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the gantry comprises a bottom plate, the tread surface is arranged above the bottom plate, the drive mechanism is arranged in a range between the bottom plate and the tread surface, and the holding frame protruding upward is a bottom plate. It is provided above.
When the tread is placed on a foot pedal or foot platform to generate basic tension in the area of the muscle to be treated, the device according to the invention is basically also a foot-operated strength training machine (body building machine). It can be used.
Next, the present invention will be described in detail based on an embodiment schematically shown in the drawings.
