BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to data communication using a spread spectrum communication method or orthogonal frequency division modulation method, especially in a data communication of a shared media type network using an indoor power line or radio, and data transmission occurs on the receiving side. The present invention relates to a retransmission control method for controlling retransmission of data when restoration cannot be performed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a shared media type network, a CSMA / CD system represented by Ethernet is widely used (for example, refer to Patent Document 1). This system checks whether a data signal exists in the network prior to data transmission, and immediately starts data transmission if it does not exist. However, even if such a method is adopted, a collision based on a propagation delay of data cannot be avoided.
[0003]
For this reason, it is monitored whether the transmitted data does not collide with data transmitted from other nodes. When a collision is detected, the data transmission is stopped immediately and a jam signal is issued to clarify the occurrence of the collision. Thereafter, the CSMA / CD method is a method for retrying transmission after a predetermined time has elapsed.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-6-276199 [0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the CSMA / CD system, the probability that a collision will occur again at the time of retry depends on how each node calculates the above-mentioned fixed time. In the CSMA / CD method, when each node generates a random number P, retransmission starts after 2P time has elapsed after the occurrence of a collision. However, when the generated random numbers match, the nodes collide again. If a collision occurs, data transmission is delayed and the network may be congested.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in consideration of such circumstances, and in the case of data communication in a shared media network using indoor power lines or radio, when the transmitted data has a collision, the data is retransmitted. An object of the present invention is to provide a retransmission control method capable of avoiding a collision at the time of retransmission.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above-described object, the present invention is configured to divide the transmission time of a basic packet, which is a basic unit of data communication, into n divisions at the timing of each node in a data communication network using an indoor power line or radio (n = 1, 2, ..., and a slot clock generating means for generating a slot clock for setting the division unit as a slot to a transmission time unit, and h slot after transmission of the basic packet (h = 5, 6, ...) Means for taking a silent time between the next packet transmission with the above-mentioned fixed number of slots as a gap, and a determination means for determining whether or not the transmitted packet is longer than n slots of the basic packet length; When it is determined by the determination means that the length is longer than n slots, the next k slots (k = 1, 2,...; K <h) of the slot at the end of the packet are determined. A transmission means for broadcasting a basic packet requesting retransmission with the next slot as the head, and when the node itself transmits a normal basic packet, the next k slot at the end is used as a gap, Detection means for detecting whether or not there are signals of n slots or more starting from the next slot, and in the detection means, a packet requesting retransmission or a signal in which they collide with each other is detected. Sometimes, after taking the gap of j slots (j = 3, 4,...; K <j <h) from the end of the packet requesting retransmission, the next slot is set to order 1, and its own node address It is characterized by having a retransmission means for transmitting a retransmission packet with a slot in the order corresponding to
[0008]
Since the present invention is premised on a spread spectrum method or an orthogonal frequency modulation method that makes it difficult to detect whether or not a collision has occurred, a basic packet is introduced as a unit of data communication. In addition, in order to measure the length of the basic packet and control the start of transmission of the next packet after the end of the packet, the basic packet is divided into n slots (n = 1, 2,...) As a basic time. Introduced as a unit.
[0009]
In addition, the collision is detected based on whether or not the length of the received packet is exactly n times the slot length. When a collision is detected, a retransmission request packet is transmitted from the next slot with the next slot of the collision detection as a gap. A collision detection packet may also collide. However, if it is assumed that only a retransmission request packet can be transmitted in one slot gap after the end of one packet, the collision is caused by the packet being sent there. It turns out that it occurred. Then, after the end of this retransmission request packet, the next slot after the gap of 2 slots is set as the order 1, and the slot in the order corresponding to the node address is a slot that can be retransmitted by the own node. Can prevent collisions.

In the present invention, instead of the retransmission means described above, when the detection means detects a packet requesting retransmission or a signal in which they collide with each other, j slots (j = The next slot with a gap of 2, 3,...; K <j <h) is set as order 1, and a predetermined order m (m = 1, 2,...) Is assigned to addresses existing in the network in advance. In addition, the node of order m may be provided with means for transmitting a retransmission packet with the slot of order 2m-1 as the head.
[0011]
Further, instead of re-octenyl stage described above similarly, the when a packet or their requesting retransmission has detected mixed signal to collide with each other in the detection means, terminating the j-slot packet requesting that retransmission ( The next slot with a gap of j = 2, 3,...; k <j <h) is set to order 1, and a predetermined order m (m = 1, 2,. ), And the node of the order m may be provided with means for transmitting a retransmission packet with the slot of the order {(n + 3) m− (n + 2)} as the head.
[0012]
Each functional unit (means) constituting the data retransmission control system of the present invention is provided in each node connected to a communication network, for example.
[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
First, the outline | summary of embodiment of this invention is demonstrated for every item.
[0014]
[Transmission of basic packet]
In this embodiment, the basic data transmission unit of the data communication method is an 8-byte (64-bit) packet, which is called a basic packet. Since the data transmission rate is 2 Mbps, the basic packet is 32 μs long.
[0015]
In each node, a half length of a basic packet, that is, a time corresponding to transmission of 4 bytes is called a slot, and this is a basic time unit of data transmission. Therefore, the basic packet is transmitted using two slots. This division into slots is performed by each node independently, and phase adjustment between nodes is not performed.
[0016]
Basic packets are transmitted without taking measures to avoid collisions. First, it is confirmed that no other signal exists in the shared medium, and transmission is started from the head of its own slot. This helps to prevent collisions because the beginning of this slot is slightly offset between nodes. The reason will be described with reference to FIG.
[0017]
In FIG. 1, when the node A sends out the
[0018]
However, since the signal from the node A reaches the node C with the propagation delay indicated by 12 a little later than the
[0019]
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2A, if a basic packet is sent out or detected, the three slots after the end of the basic packet are set as a silent time during which no data is transmitted. To. Further, when the end of the basic packet is at a time other than the cut of its own slot, the 3 slots following that slot are set as the silence time. Thereby, it is possible to determine whether or not the basic packet sent out by itself has collided.
[0020]
When a collision is detected, the node C issues a NAK (unreceivable) command with a gap of 1 slot shown in FIG. Although the probability is small, the basic packet from node A and the basic packet of node C may completely overlap in node 2 at node C. At that time, node C cannot detect collision.
[0021]
However, since the phase of the basic packet from node A and the phase of the basic packet from node C are shifted at any node in the network and are received out of two slots, a collision can be detected. At that time, the node that has detected the collision broadcasts a NAK command at a 1-slot interval. Node A and node C that have heard this retransmit the basic packet.
[0022]
[Gap after end of packet]
Next, the gap after receiving one normal basic packet will be described with reference to FIG.
[0023]
First, since the slot does not adjust the phase between nodes, the received basic packet 21 does not match the front end and the end of its own slot. Therefore, the slot where the end of the received basic packet 21 is located is ignored, and a gap is taken from the next slot. That is, a case where only the slot of reference numeral 22 is used as a gap is called a one-slot gap, a case where two slots of reference numeral 23 are used as a gap, and a case where two slots of reference numeral 24 are used as a gap. To do. A normal packet takes at least a 5-slot gap and transmits in the next slot.
[0024]
As shown in FIG. 2A, the normal packet 25 is transmitted with a 5-slot interval, that is, with a silence time of 5 slots or more. By doing this, a node that detects a collision with respect to basic command transmission broadcasts a NAK command at a 1-slot interval. Since collisions are likely to be detected at many nodes, NAK commands are also likely to collide. However, since only a NAK command can be transmitted in a 1-slot gap, the presence of a command here means that a collision has occurred. Basically, a retransmission packet when a collision occurs is transmitted with a gap of 3 slots.
[0025]
The reason why the slot gap of the retransmit packet of order 1 is set to 3 is shown in FIG. When the nodes A and B that are close to each other are in phase, the packet termination R from the other nodes is received separately on the opposite side of the slot boundary M when it is close to the slot boundary M. Then, the slot gap count is shifted by approximately one slot. Then, since the leading edge S of the packet in the 1-slot gap of the node B reaches the node A after the 2-slot gap, if there is a packet in the 2-slot gap, the node A transmits it (T). End up. In order to prevent this, it is necessary to provide a guard slot of 1 slot also in the slot gap, and next to the 1 slot gap is a 3 slot gap, and next is a 5 slot gap.
[0026]
[Basic packet configuration]
FIG. 3 shows the structure of an 8-byte basic packet. In the basic packet of FIG. 3, 8 bits are assigned to the destination address and the transmission address, and when the destination address is all 1, it means that all addresses are desired to be received, and this is called broadcast. The next 8 bits specify the command. One of them is a NAK command for requesting retransmission. The subsequent 8 bits are used for control. When 1 is set in the first bit, it means that the packet is a retransmission packet. The auxiliary address and data 0 and 1 are not directly related to the present invention. The last 8 bits are redundant bits for error correction, which corrects transmission errors occurring in the basic packet, so that retransmission due to an error does not occur in the basic packet.
[0027]
[Data retransmission control]
First, in this embodiment, when a collision occurs, a rule is that other packets are not transmitted until a retransmission packet is transmitted.
[0028]
At the time of retransmission, the node at address 1 transmits a retransmission packet at a gap of 3 slots, address 2 at a gap of 5 slots, and address m at a gap of (2m + 1) slots. At this time, if a packet signal exists before the retransmission start slot, it is assumed that there is no slot (number of packet slots + 3), and the gap of (2m + 1) slots is counted. By doing so, it is possible to prevent retransmission packets from colliding.
[0029]
Next, a more specific embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[0030]
FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the basic packet is 8 bytes, and the slot length is half of the basic packet length (4 bytes length). Further, the retransmission request packet is transmitted at a 1-slot interval, and the retransmission packet is counted as the order 1 in the next slot after the 3-slot interval. Further, it is assumed that a normal packet is transmitted with a gap of 3 slots or more. Note that each configuration (function unit) illustrated in FIG. 4 is provided in each node connected to the network.

[0046]
Here, in the above embodiment, the gaps of 1 slot, 3 slots and 5 slots are set to 1, 3 and 5, respectively, but the present invention is not limited to this.
[0047]
In the present invention, it is a point that a retransmission request command is issued as quickly as possible and in a slot determined so that it can be recognized even if there is a collision. The slot gap is made smaller than other packets to increase the priority. It is also included in the present invention that the rule is that other nodes do not send normal packets until a retransmitted packet is issued. In this case, the 5-slot gap control is not necessary. Instead, the basic
[0048]
Furthermore, the slot need not be half the length of the basic packet, and may be 1/4 or 1/8, or the same length.
[0049]
Also, there is no particular limitation on the gap count for the retransmitted packet. When the address size is m, (2m + 1) is set as the gap. However, in this case as well, the smallest address that actually exists is the order 1, the counted address is 2, 3, 4,..., The order m, and the (2m + 1) slot is the gap. This can save waste.
[0050]
Here, even if retransmission control as described above is performed, there is a possibility that retransmission packets collide. For example, when the order of the node S and the node T that cannot directly communicate with each other is the node S is p and the node T is (p + 1), the node S starts transmitting a retransmission packet at a (2p + 1) slot gap. Since it cannot be heard at the node T, retransmission is started in the (2p + 3) slot gap.
[0051]
For the node U that can directly communicate with both the node S and the node T, a collision between the second half of the packet of the node S and the packet of the node T is known, and a retransmission request is issued. At this time, send again. In such a case, when 1 is set in the second bit of the control unit in FIG. Here, 1 is set and the slot gap is set to (5 m−3) slots. Thus, in the re-transmission, a space of 3 slots is made after the basic packet of 2 slots, so the re-transmission does not collide. Furthermore, since a gap of 2 slots or more is seen between packets from any node, there is no mistake with a retransmission request.
[0052]
The description has been given by re-transmission. However, if the (5m-2) slot gap is directly applied to retransmission, collision in retransmission can be completely avoided. Such a method is also included in the present invention. Specifically, when 1-slot gap, 3-slot gap, and 5-slot gap are generalized to be k-slot, j-slot, and h-slot (k <j <h), 5m-2 is 5 (m- 1) + j.
[0053]
Further, in this example, the description has been made with the packet having two slots, but the present invention is not limited to this, and in the case of an n-slot packet, 5m-2 becomes {(n + 3) m-n}. When m = 1, the gap is 3 slots. Even if this slot is j slot, if the next slot is the order 1, the node of the order m starts with the slot of the order {(n + 3) m− (n + 2)}. It will be a slot. In this way, it can be expressed independently of the slot gap.
[0054]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when a transmitted packet is longer than n slots of the basic packet length, it is determined that there is a data collision, and the next k slots after the slot at the end of the packet are set as a gap. The basic packet requesting retransmission is broadcasted starting from the next slot, and when the node itself transmits a normal basic packet, the next k slot at the end is used as a gap, and the next If there is a signal of n slots or more starting from the slot of the next slot, the next slot after taking a gap of 3 slots or more from the end of the retransmission request packet is set to order 1, and the node address is set to its own node address. Since the retransmission packet is transmitted with the slot in the corresponding order as the head, a shared media network using an indoor power line or radio is used. In data communication click, it is possible to avoid a collision when data is retransmitted.
