Description
無線通信装置には、アンテナが構成されていて、システムには、無線周波数(radio frequency, RF)電力増幅器がさらに構成されていて、RF電力増幅器には、RF増幅器入力、RF増幅器出力、およびRF増幅器利得制御とが構成されている。RF増幅器入力は、可変利得送信機増幅器出力に結合される。RF増幅器出力は、アンテナに結合され、RF増幅器利得入力は、誤差信号に結合される。1つの実施形態では、RF増幅器利得は、増分ステップで制御される。この実施形態では、システムには、送信電力制御回路がさらに構成されていて、送信電力制御回路は、誤差信号に基づいて、ステップ利得制御信号を生成して、RF増幅器の増分利得ステップを制御する。
Claims (3)
- 送信機および受信機を持つ無線通信装置において、受信信号の強度を判断することができる較正された受信機によって送信機の送信電力を制御するシステムであって、
増幅器入力、増幅器出力、および可変利得制御入力を持つ可変利得無線周波数(radio frequency,RF)送信機増幅器であって、可変利得制御入力が、希望送信電力レベルを示す制御信号を最初に受信する可変利得無線周波数送信機増幅器と、
前記可変利得制御入力を供給する送信機線形化器と、
前記増幅器出力に接続され、かつ受信機の動作周波数に対応する発振器周波数をもつ発振器信号を受信するミキサーであって、前記増幅器出力の信号に対応する、受信機の動作周波数の信号を生成するミキサーと、
前記ミキサーによって生成された信号を単極単投接点タイプのスイッチを介して受信機信号路内に設けた第2の受信機可変利得増幅器に接続する接続回路と、
受信信号を増幅する第1の受信機可変利得増幅器と、
第1の受信機可変利得増幅器および第2の受信機可変利得増幅器の出力を復調する復調器とを含み、
前記復調器の出力に基づいて第1の受信機可変利得増幅器および第2の受信機可変利得増幅器が共に利得調整され、かつ前記復調器の出力が前記送信機線形化器の入力として供給される送信電力制御システム。 - 第1および第2の受信機可変利得増幅器が、共通の集積回路上に構成されている整合回路である請求項1記載の送信電力制御システム。
- 第1の受信機可変利得増幅器の出力と第2の受信機可変利得増幅器の出力がサマーの第1の入力および第2の入力に接続され、サマーの出力が復調器の入力に接続される請求項1記載の送信電力制御システム。
