【0034】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an inkjet recording sheet.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As one of the methods for outputting image information and character code information produced by a personal computer to a recording medium such as paper, recording using water-soluble dyes or pigments as a drive source using electric field, heat, pressure, etc. There is an ink jet recording method in which an image is formed by being ejected from a nozzle onto a recording medium.
[0003]
The inkjet recording system has advantages such as low running costs, low noise, easy multi-coloring, and the ability to form images on plain paper. is doing.
[0004]
In addition to plain paper, the recording medium on which an image is formed by the inkjet recording method is coated paper having an ink receiving layer on the recording surface side, glossy paper having a glossy recording surface, and ink reception on a transparent substrate. An inkjet recording sheet such as an OHP recording sheet having a layer is used.
[0005]
The characteristics required for the ink jet recording sheet are that the ink absorption speed is fast, the ink does not flow out or bleed even when the print dots overlap, the density of the print dots is high, the color tone is bright and vivid, The spreading of the printed dots in the lateral direction is not larger than necessary, and the periphery is smooth and unblurred. In particular, regarding the ink absorption rate, if the ink absorption rate is slow, the ink droplets mix with other droplets before being absorbed by the surface layer of the inkjet recording sheet, causing uneven printing such as repellency and bleeding. The image quality may be greatly reduced. Therefore, the ink jet recording sheet is required to have high ink absorbability.
[0006]
In order to satisfy these required characteristics, conventionally, a method has been proposed in which an ink jet recording sheet is provided with a porous layer having voids using inorganic particles such as alumina and silica and a binder resin to increase the ink absorbability. Yes. Furthermore, when forming such a porous layer on an ink jet recording sheet, the porous layer is made into a three-dimensional network structure using silica having a specific particle diameter and a water-soluble resin (Patent Document 1), It has also been proposed to add a chain polycarboxylic acid to the layer to prevent discoloration during image storage (Patent Document 2).
[0007]
On the other hand, in order to improve the color developability of the ink jet recording sheet, it has been proposed that the surface coating layer contains a chelating agent such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (Patent Document 3).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in recent years, as an alternative to silver halide photography, it has become widespread to output image data recorded by a digital camera or the like using an ink jet recording system. Therefore, the image recorded on the ink jet recording sheet is often stored for a long period of time, and the image formed on the ink jet recording sheet is kept clear for a long period of time, that is, excellent in image storability. Has come to be desired. More specifically, even when exposed to light for a long period of time, the printed image is highly resistant to fading and discoloration, and even if exposed to a small amount of ozone or oxidizing gas contained in the air for a long period of time, the printed image Therefore, there is a demand for a high gas resistance that is less likely to cause fading or discoloration, and a high water resistance that prevents the printed image from bleeding or fading even if the printed image is accidentally exposed to water.
[0010]
However, conventionally, an ink jet recording sheet having a sufficiently high ink absorption rate and excellent image storage stability has not been obtained.
[0011]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet recording sheet having a sufficiently high ink absorption rate and excellent image storability such as light resistance, gas resistance and water resistance.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides an inkjet recording sheet in which an ink receiving layer is provided on a support, wherein the ink receiving layer contains a chelating agent containing phosphorus. A sheet is provided, and in particular, the ink receiving layer is provided with an inorganic particle and a porous layer containing 10 to 40% by weight of a hydrophilic resin with respect to the inorganic particle.
[0013]
In this ink jet recording sheet, since the ink receiving layer contains a chelating agent containing phosphorus, image storability is improved. Although the mechanism by which the image storage stability is improved by adding a chelating agent to the ink receiving layer is not clear, unstable ions generated by decomposition of the dye during image storage are blocked by the chelating agent, and the dye is It is considered that the discoloration or discoloration of the stored image is suppressed because the chain reaction that decomposes is suppressed.
[0014]
Further, in this ink jet recording sheet, the ink absorption speed was improved in the aspect in which the inorganic layer and the porous layer containing 10 to 40% by weight of the hydrophilic resin with respect to the inorganic particle were provided as the ink receiving layer. It will be a thing.
[0015]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0016]
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an ink

[0018]
Here, as the inorganic particles, various particles conventionally used for forming a porous layer of an ink jet recording sheet can be used. For example, light calcium carbonate, heavy calcium carbonate, magnesium silicate, silicic acid Aluminum, colloidal silica, colloidal alumina, barium sulfate, calcium sulfate, satin white, clay, synthetic amorphous silica, alumina, titanium dioxide, kaolin, magnesium hydroxide, pseudoboehmite, magnesium carbonate, zinc oxide, mica, zinc sulfide, etc. Can be mentioned. These may be used alone or in combination of a plurality of types for forming the
[0019]
Among these, as the inorganic particles, porous synthetic amorphous silica or porous alumina having a large pore volume is preferable. In particular, the silica fine particles synthesized by the gas phase method can be relatively easily converted to the primary particles. This is preferable because an ink receiving layer having a high porosity can be obtained.
[0020]
On the other hand, a chelating agent containing phosphorus refers to a compound containing phosphorus in the molecule and capable of forming chelate complexes with various metal ions. The chelating agent is preferably a compound having a phosphonic acid group, a compound having a phosphonic acid group and a carboxylic acid group, or an alkali metal salt or amine salt thereof. Moreover, as a chelating agent containing phosphorus, the thing (pH of the saturated aqueous solution of the said chelating agent) of 7 or less is preferable from a gas-resistant point. Specific examples of particularly preferable chelating agents include, for example, 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid (HEDP) (pH 1.6), phosphonobutanetricarboxylic acid (PBTC) (pH 1.6) having a pH of 2 or less. ), Aminotrimethylene phosphonic acid (NTMP) (pH 1.5), etc. In addition, K salt of phosphonobutane tricarboxylic acid (pH 4.5), aminopolyphosphonic acid (APP), etc. are also used. be able to. These can be used as one kind or a mixture of two or more kinds.
[0021]
In the present invention, as the chelating agent containing phosphorus, one that can be dissolved in water at room temperature is used. Use of a water-insoluble chelating agent is not preferable because the glossiness of the ink jet recording sheet becomes insufficient and the coating strength of the ink receiving layer is also inferior.
[0022]
The addition amount of the chelating agent having phosphorus is 1 to 15 parts by weight, preferably 2.5 to 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the inorganic particles contained in the

[0026]
In particular, it is preferable to add an ink fixing agent in order to improve the water resistance of the printed image and prevent bleeding of the printed image. As the ink fixing agent, since the ink-jet ink dye is usually anionic, it is preferable to add a cationic inorganic or organic substance to insolubilize the dye, and it is more preferable to add a cationic organic substance. Examples of such cationic organic substances include polyethyleneimine, polyethyleneamine, polypropylene polyamine, polyvinylamine, polyamine sulfone, polyamine polyamide epichlorohydrin, dimethyldiallylammonium chloride polymer, dimethyldiallylammonium chloride polymer-SO2 copolymer, diallylamine. Examples thereof include a salt-SO2 copolymer, a dicyandiamide-diethylenetriamine polycondensate, and a dicyandiamide-formalin polycondensate.

[0033]
In addition, when a transparent substrate is used like an OHP sheet and the ink receiving layer requires high transparency, or when ink jet recording sheets require high glossiness, the ink receiving layer contains inorganic particles. You don't have to. When inorganic particles are not contained, the addition amount of the chelating agent having phosphorus is 1 to 15 parts by weight, preferably 2.5 to 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin contained in the ink receiving layer. If the amount of the chelating agent added is too small, the effect of improving the image preservability is insufficient. On the other hand, if the amount is too large, the coating film becomes opaque or the print density is lowered.

【Example】
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples and Comparative Examples. In the following examples, “%” means “% by weight (in terms of solid content)” unless otherwise specified.
[0035]
Examples 1-12 and Comparative Examples 1-8
(1) Preparation of inkjet recording sheet The ink receiving layer coating liquid shown in Tables 1 and 2 was prepared to a solid content concentration of 20% using a solvent of water / isopropyl alcohol = 90/10. the coating amount of 25 g / m 2 (solid basis) was coated using a bar coater on a resin-coated paper having a basis weight of 170g / m 2 (RC paper), then dried for 5 minutes at 90 ° C. with inkjet A recording sheet was prepared.
[0036]
However, in the production of the ink jet recording sheets of Example 12 and Comparative Example 8, instead of polyvinyl alcohol, a polyurethane resin (NS-310X, Takamatsu Yushi Co., Ltd.) was used as the resin, and the coating liquid was 10 g / m. A coating amount of 2 (in terms of solid content) was applied onto a white polyester film having a thickness of 100 μm using a bar coater, and then dried at 110 ° C. for 5 minutes to prepare an ink jet recording sheet.

(2) Evaluation Each ink jet recording sheet of Examples 1 to 12 and Comparative Examples 1 to 8 was evaluated for ink absorptivity, light resistance, gas resistance and water resistance according to the following criteria. These results are shown in Table 3.
[0042]
In these evaluations, an ink jet printer (BJ-F600, Canon Inc.) was used for printing on the ink jet recording sheet.
[0043]
(2-1) Ink absorbability Solid-printing is performed using two colors of ink, the ink absorption state is observed with a microscope, and the paper is pressure-bonded to the ink jet recording sheet immediately after printing with a load of 50 g / cm 2 . The state of ink transfer was observed and evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0044]
A: The print boundary is clear and the ink has not transferred to the paper at all. B: The print boundary is clear but the ink is slightly transferred to the paper. C: The print boundary is unclear. When a large amount of ink is transferred onto the paper D: When the printing boundary is unclear, and when a large amount of ink is further printed on the paper
(2-2) A 16-tone printing with magenta ink was performed on a light-resistant ink jet recording sheet, a portion where the initial density was 1.0 with a Macbeth densitometer was selected, and that portion was selected as a xenon fade meter (Ci35A, Atlas Co., Ltd. was used for irradiation for 62 hours in an environment of 55 ° C. and 60% RH, and the residual concentration ratio after irradiation was measured and evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0046]
A: Concentration residual ratio is 90% or more B: Concentration residual ratio is 80% or more and less than 90% C: Concentration residual ratio is 70% or more and less than 80% D: Concentration residual ratio is less than 70%
(2-3) Perform 16 gradation printing with magenta ink on a gas-resistant ink jet recording sheet, select a part where the initial density is 1.0 with a Macbeth densitometer, and select that part as an ozone weather meter (OMS -L, Suga Test Instruments Co., Ltd.) in an environment of 20 ° C., 50% RH, and ozone concentration of 0.5 ppm for 24 hours. evaluated.
[0048]
A: Concentration residual ratio is 90% or more B: Concentration residual ratio is 80% or more and less than 90% C: Concentration residual ratio is 70% or more and less than 80% D: Concentration residual ratio is less than 70%
(2-4) Solid printing of each color of yellow, magenta, cyan and black on a water-resistant ink jet recording sheet, and then immersing the ink jet recording sheet in pure water for 5 minutes to re-elute the printed matter into water. Were observed and evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0050]
A: When elution is not observed at all B: Slight elution is observed but there is no problem in practical use C: Elution is observed and re-dyeing is observed in the non-printed portion D: Elution is remarkable and printing When a decrease in the concentration is observed [0051]
[Table 3]
[0052]
From the results of Table 3, it can be seen that the ink jet recording sheets of Examples 1 to 12 of the present invention are excellent in ink absorbability and excellent in image storability such as light resistance, gas resistance and water resistance. In particular, the ink absorbability is excellent in Examples 1 to 4 and Examples 6 to 11 in which the addition amount of the chelating agent containing phosphorus is 1 to 15 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the inorganic particles. Moreover, in Examples 1-7 and Examples 9-11 which used the silica as an inorganic particle, it turns out that water resistance is excellent.
[0053]
On the other hand, in Comparative Examples 1 to 8 in which the chelating agent containing phosphorus is not included in the ink receiving layer, the light resistance, gas resistance and water resistance are inferior, and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or a salt thereof as the chelating agent It can be seen that Comparative Examples 3 to 7 using the ink are inferior in light resistance, gas resistance and water resistance, and further, the ink receiving layer tends to crack.
[0054]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, there is provided an ink jet recording sheet having a sufficiently high ink absorption rate and excellent image storability such as light resistance, gas resistance and water resistance.
