The present invention relates to an uninterruptible power supply capable of supplying a stable alternating voltage to a load even when the AC input voltage fluctuates, and more specifically, in a so-called series voltage compensation type uninterruptible power supply, the voltage compensation performance is improved. And a technique for miniaturizing the apparatus.
Hereinafter, the case where the AC power source is a single phase will be described, but the same applies to the case where the AC power source is a three phase.
FIG. 7 is a circuit diagram showing the prior art of this type of uninterruptible power supply.
In FIG. 7, an AC bus between an AC input terminal u and an AC output terminal U connected to a single-phase AC power source is connected for series compensation via an AC switch 4 in which two semiconductor switching elements are connected in antiparallel. The first winding 1b of the
The DC /
Further, the AC side terminal of the DC /
Although not shown, an AC input voltage and an AC output voltage are detected, and on / off control of the semiconductor switching elements of the
The uninterruptible power supply having the above configuration is known as a series voltage compensation type uninterruptible power supply in which a function for suppressing voltage fluctuation is added to a constant commercial power supply system, and an AC input terminal with the AC switch 4 turned on. When the voltage of the commercial power supply connected to u and v varies, the primary side voltage of the
For example, if the fluctuation of the commercial power supply is a voltage drop, the
FIG. 8 shows the secondary side voltage of the
Further, when the commercial power supply fails, the AC switch 4 is turned off to disconnect the commercial power supply from the AC bus, and the DC power of the storage battery 3 is converted to AC by the DC /
The detailed operation of such an uninterruptible power supply is disclosed in “ACTIVE POWER CONDITIONER SYSTEM” of
In this type of uninterruptible power supply, downsizing of the
In the prior art shown in FIG. 7, the voltage fluctuation compensation range before the commercial power supply fails is assumed to be about ± 15%, which is a range required for a general uninterruptible power supply. In this case, when the input voltage is within the specified range and the input voltage suddenly fluctuates greatly within a range of ± 15% from the state where no voltage is applied to the
At this time, if the
In view of the above points, for example, in Patent Document 3 below, an inverter that generates a compensation voltage corresponding to the fluctuation of the power supply voltage on the system side is provided, and the primary winding of the coupling transformer is connected to its output terminal. In a series-compensated voltage fluctuation compensator where the secondary winding of the coupling transformer is connected in series in the power supply path from the power supply to the load on the system side, when the magnetic saturation occurs in the coupling transformer, the overcurrent of the inverter is detected Then, the compensation voltage applied from the inverter to the coupling transformer is forcibly reduced to zero, and then gradually restored to the original state, thereby preventing an overcurrent state of the inverter due to the saturation of the coupling transformer during a transient period such as when a load is applied. It is described.
According to the prior art described in the above-mentioned Patent Document 3, overcurrent of the inverter can be prevented, but there is a problem that the voltage fluctuation compensation operation becomes temporarily incomplete and the responsiveness of voltage compensation is impaired.
Accordingly, in order to satisfy the desired voltage fluctuation compensation function while preventing the occurrence of the magnetizing inrush current in the
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a method for operating an uninterruptible power supply apparatus that has high voltage compensation performance, and that can reduce the size and cost of the apparatus.
The inrush current generated at the start of operation of a general commercial transformer is due to the magnetic saturation of the iron core, and one of the major causes is the residual magnetic flux due to the magnetization phenomenon of the iron core left at the previous stoppage. . If the direction of the residual magnetic flux coincides with the direction of the magnetic flux applied at the start of operation, the transformer is easily magnetically saturated, and a large excitation inrush current is generated.
Therefore, the gist of the present invention is to demagnetize the iron core of the transformer for series compensation at a predetermined timing, thereby preventing the occurrence of an inrush current.
That is, the invention described in
A first operation mode in which when the input voltage applied to the AC input terminal is within a specified range, the operation of the first DC / AC converter is stopped and the input voltage is directly output from the AC output terminal;
When the input voltage fluctuates and falls outside the specified range, a compensation voltage is generated on the output side of the transformer by the operation of the first DC / AC converter to compensate for the voltage fluctuation of the input voltage. A second operation mode in which power is transferred between the first DC / AC converter and the AC bus by the operation of the second DC / AC converter;
A third operation mode for outputting an AC voltage from the AC output terminal by the operation of the second DC / AC converter using the power of the DC power storage means at the time of a power failure of the input power supply;
In the uninterruptible power supply that can be selected,
The AC power is supplied to the transformer by temporarily operating the first DC / AC converter at the timing of starting or stopping the uninterruptible power supply or at the timing of the first operation mode period. Thus, the iron core of the transformer is demagnetized.
The invention described in claim 2 is the operation method of the uninterruptible power supply device described in
When the first DC / AC converter is temporarily operated during the first operation mode period to supply AC power to the transformer, a voltage superimposed on the input voltage through the transformer is defined as the input voltage. The voltages are the same frequency and orthogonal in phase.
The invention described in claim 3 is an uninterruptible power supply that can select the first to third operation modes.
When the input voltage suddenly fluctuates during the first operation mode, the operation in the third operation mode is once performed and the first DC / AC converter is temporarily operated before the transition to the second operation mode. The transformer core is demagnetized by supplying AC power to the transformer.
According to the present invention, when the uninterruptible power supply is started up or stopped, the first DC / AC converter is operated to change the input voltage during the first operation mode period or the third operation mode period. By demagnetizing the iron core, it is possible to suppress an inrush current and to realize an uninterruptible power supply that performs a desired voltage compensation function while avoiding an increase in size and capacity of a transformer or a DC / AC converter. .
In particular, when the input voltage suddenly fluctuates, it is possible to reduce the burden on the transformer by demagnetizing the transformer while shifting to the third operation mode at the time of power failure instead of driving the transformer immediately.
In general, according to the present invention, it is possible to solve the trade-off problem of improving the voltage compensation performance, downsizing the device, and reducing the price.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Here, a case where the AC power source is a single phase will be described, but the same applies to a case where the AC power source is a three phase.
FIG. 1 is a circuit configuration diagram of an uninterruptible power supply to which the embodiment is applied. Description will be made centering on the difference from FIG. 7 which is the prior art. In FIG. 1, an
Further, a
Next, FIG. 2 shows a time chart when the
In FIG. 2, when the external operation command is first turned on, the
Next, the
After the demagnetization is completed, the

Next, FIG. 4 is a timing chart showing an operation when demagnetizing the
In FIG. 4, since it is determined that the input voltage is within the specified range and is normal in the period a, the output-
In period b, since the input voltage has fallen below the specified range, the
This operation mode is a second operation mode in which the output voltage is made constant by the operation of the DC /
In the period c, since the input voltage is restored and returned to within the specified range, the first operation mode is entered, and the output of the DC /
At this time, there is a relationship of output voltage of the device = input voltage + voltage of the secondary winding 1b of the transformer 1 (demagnetization voltage). This demagnetizing voltage is a voltage determined by the voltage of the primary winding 1a and the transformation ratio of the
Therefore, in order to prevent the output voltage of the device from becoming too large due to the demagnetization voltage, as the demagnetization voltage, a voltage having the same frequency as the input voltage and a phase orthogonal to each other is applied as shown in the vector diagram of FIG. , Avoiding the effect on the output voltage.
Further, after the demagnetization is completed in the period c in FIG. 4, the output-
In the period d, since the input voltage has risen to the specified range or more, the
That is, the period d is also the second operation mode in which the output voltage is made constant by the operation of the DC /
Although not shown, when the AC power supply is interrupted, the second DC /
Next, FIG. 6 is a time chart showing another example of operation. Specifically, when the input voltage suddenly changes during operation of the uninterruptible power supply, it is once changed from the first operation mode to the second operation mode. An operation example is shown in which the
First, in period a, since the input voltage is determined to be normal within the specified range, the
At this time, the operation mode of the second DC /
In the period b, since the input voltage is reduced (including a power failure) and falls below the specified range, the
In this period b, the
Then, when the voltage of the secondary winding 1b of the
In period c, the
In the period d, as in the period a, the operation mode shifts to the first operation mode when the input voltage is normal.
As described above, in the operation of FIG. 6, when the input voltage changes suddenly due to a power failure, voltage drop, or the like, the first operation mode is not immediately shifted to the second operation mode as shown in FIG. 4. 6, the third operation mode (the output inverter operation of the DC /
