BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a current probe, and more particularly to a current probe that can detect a wide frequency band from direct current to high frequency with high sensitivity using a fluxgate magnetic sensor.

[0004]
The passive current probe shown in FIG. 2 requires a change in the magnetic field, and cannot be detected when the current to be measured is in the low frequency band from DC. In order to solve this problem, an active current probe using a magnetic sensor is used. Known magnetic sensors include Hall elements, MR elements, GMR elements, fluxgate elements, and the like. Since these magnetic sensors generate a voltage according to the magnetic field, it is possible to detect a current value from DC to a low frequency by detecting this voltage.
[0005]
U.S. Pat. No. 3,525,041 discloses a technique for detecting the value of a measured current in a measured signal line from a direct current to a high frequency band by combining a Hall element and a transformer regardless of the frequency of the current. Since the frequency of the current to be measured flowing through the signal line to be measured is not only known in advance, this is a desirable technique in that it can be detected from DC to a high frequency regardless of the frequency.

[0007]
In using a magnetic sensor, a method of using a magnetic flux concentrator or a yoke is known to increase the sensitivity. For example, US Pat. No. 6,175,229 (corresponding to Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-258463) forms a magnetically closed loop (closed circuit) with a Hall element and a magnetic flux concentrator, and a signal line under test is placed in this loop. A technique is disclosed in which the magnetic flux generated by the current to be measured is effectively guided to the Hall element through the magnetic flux concentrator by passing through the magnetic flux.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
A fluxgate magnetic sensor is more sensitive than a Hall element, but requires a drive current. At this time, if the flux gate magnetic sensor and the magnetic flux concentrator are used in combination in order to increase the sensitivity, the magnetic flux generated by the drive current leaks to the magnetic flux concentrator. Therefore, if a gap (air gap) or the like is provided between the magnetic flux concentrator and the flux gate magnetic sensor so that the magnetic flux generated by the drive current is difficult to leak to the magnetic flux concentrator, this causes a problem that sensitivity is lowered.
[0009]
In addition, since the drive current itself generates a magnetic field, if a current value in a wide band from DC to high frequency is detected, the magnetic field generated by the drive current is detected as noise, which is an obstacle to measurement of the measured current. There's a problem.
[0010]
Therefore, the present invention intends to provide a current probe that realizes high sensitivity by combining a fluxgate magnetic sensor and a magnetic flux concentrator and reducing leakage of magnetic flux generated by a drive current to the magnetic flux concentrator. At the same time, when applying a fluxgate magnetic sensor to a current probe, it is intended to provide a current probe that can appropriately detect a current value in a wide band from DC to high frequency band by making it difficult to detect noise due to drive current. To do.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A current probe according to the present invention includes first current detection means for mainly detecting a value of a current to be measured in a first frequency band from a direct current flowing in a signal line to be measured to a vicinity of a predetermined frequency band, and higher than the vicinity of the predetermined frequency band. Second current detecting means for mainly detecting the value of the current to be measured in the second frequency band. At this time, the first current detection means maintains a high relative permeability in the first frequency band, a flux gate magnetic sensor, a drive circuit that supplies a drive current having a frequency higher than a predetermined frequency band to the flux gate magnetic sensor, and And a magnetic flux concentrator having a low relative permeability at the frequency of the drive current. For this reason, the magnetic flux concentrator is magnetically coupled to the fluxgate magnetic sensor in the first frequency band by being physically in close contact with the fluxgate magnetic sensor, but has a low relative permeability at the drive current frequency. In addition, the magnetic coupling of the fluxgate magnetic sensor can be weakened. That is, the magnetic flux generated by the current to be measured in the first frequency band can be effectively supplied to the fluxgate magnetic sensor, while the leakage of the magnetic flux generated by the drive current to the magnetic flux concentrator is small, thereby reducing the sensitivity of the fluxgate magnetic sensor. It is possible to use the magnetic flux concentrator without causing it. The flux gate magnetic sensor and the magnetic flux concentrator are arranged so as to constitute a magnetic closed circuit surrounding the signal line to be measured as in the conventional case.
[0012]
The first current detection means may further have a magnetic shield for reducing the magnetic field generated by the drive current in the fluxgate magnetic sensor from reaching the second current detection means. This effectively prevents the second current detection means from detecting the magnetic flux generated by the drive current. This magnetic shield is set so that the magnetic coupling with the magnetic flux concentrator becomes weak. For this reason, a gap (air gap) may be provided between the magnetic shield and the magnetic flux concentrator. Thus, the magnetic flux due to the current to be collected collected by the magnetic flux concentrator is prevented from leaking to the magnetic shield, so that the sensitivity of the fluxgate magnetic sensor is not lowered.

In the current probe of the present invention, it is preferable to further provide a feedback coil that receives a voltage supplied from the fluxgate magnetic sensor and flows a current that generates a magnetic field that cancels the magnetic field generated by the current to be measured. As a result, magnetic saturation of the fluxgate magnetic sensor can be suppressed, so that it is easy to maintain good linearity between the value of the current to be measured and the detection value of the fluxgate magnetic sensor.
[0014]
In addition, in the current probe of the present invention, the first and second frequency bands are detected by detecting the magnetic flux that has not been canceled out by the feedback coil and the second current detecting means among the magnetic flux generated from the current to be measured. A third current detecting means for mainly detecting the value of the current to be measured in the boundary band may be further provided. This makes it possible to more appropriately detect the value of the current to be measured in the boundary band between the first and second frequency bands that cannot be captured only by the first and second current detection means.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing an example of an embodiment of a current probe according to the present invention. Components corresponding to the conventional example will be described with the same reference numerals. The embodiments described below are preferable specific examples of the present invention, and thus various technically preferable limitations are given. However, the scope of the present invention particularly limits the present invention in the following description. As long as there is no description of the effect, it is not restricted to these aspects.
[0016]
The current probe of the present invention can be broadly divided into a first current detection means for mainly detecting a current value in a low frequency band (first frequency band) from a direct current to a predetermined frequency band, and the predetermined frequency. And a second current detection means for mainly detecting a current value in a frequency band (second frequency band) higher than the band. The first current detection means is configured with the fluxgate
[0017]
First, the configuration of the first current detection means will be described sequentially. The basic operation principle of the fluxgate

Next, the operation of the electric circuit of the current probe according to the present invention will be described. This is basically the same as that shown in FIG. 3 of US Pat. No. 3,525,041. The high frequency component of the current generated in the

FIG. 7 shows the frequency characteristics of the current probe of the present invention. In the above description, the output voltage of the current probe (the output voltage of the amplifier 24 ) has been described based on the signals obtained from the first and second current detection means (indicated by two solid lines). However, as shown in FIG. 7, simply combining these two signal components tends to decrease the gain in the vicinity of a predetermined frequency band (here, several tens of kHz band) that becomes the boundary between the first and second frequency bands. The fact that the gain falls in the band of this boundary means that the magnetic field generated by the current flowing through the

[0028]
From another viewpoint, the magnetic flux concentrator 30 has a low relative permeability like air at the frequency f of the drive current, so that the
[0029]
Further, since the relative permeability of the magnetic flux concentrator 30 is low at the frequency f of the drive current, the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic field generated from the drive current is less likely to reach the second current detecting means from the magnetic flux concentrator 30. Therefore, in addition to the effects of the magnetic shields 6 and 8, the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic field generated by the drive current has a structure that does not easily affect the second current detection means. An example of the magnetic flux concentrator 30 that realizes such characteristics is permalloy.
[0030]
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 8c, the
[0031]
In the above-described embodiment, for simplicity, the first coil is disposed on the right side and the second coil is disposed on the left side. However, in practice, the first coil may be provided on the left and right sides with the same number of turns. Similarly, the second coil may be provided on the left and right sides with the same number of turns.
[0032]
As described above, the current probe of the present invention greatly reduces the influence of the magnetic field generated by the drive current on the high frequency component while maintaining the high sensitivity characteristics of the fluxgate magnetic sensor. It is possible to realize a current probe that can be detected continuously with high sensitivity.
