Claims (5)
- 磁気ディスクで目標トラックを検索してバーストパターンを記録する第1の工程と;
前記目標トラックに接するトラックに対して前記目標トラック方向に所定の比率だけオフトラックしてバーストパターンを記録する第2の工程と;
前記ディスクの半径方向に磁気ヘッドを移動させて前記磁気ヘッドの出力信号を測定してオフトラックプロファイルを生成する第3の工程と;
前記オフトラックプロファイルから前記目標トラックの振幅減少比率を測定し,前記振幅減少比率と磁気記録幅とが対応付けされたデータを貯蔵するデータベースを用いて,前記振幅減少比率に該当する磁気記録幅を算定する第4の工程と;
を含むことを特徴とする,バーストパターンの利用による磁気ヘッドの磁気記録幅測定方法。 - 前記第4の工程は,
前記オフトラックプロファイルから各トラックに対するヘッドの出力信号に対する最大振幅を求める第5の工程と,
前記目標トラックの振幅減少比率を計算する第6の工程と,
前記振幅減少比率に該当する磁気記録幅を算定する第7の工程と,を含むことを特徴とする,請求項1に記載のバーストパターンの利用による磁気ディスクの磁気記録幅測定方法。 - 磁気ディスクのトラックにバーストパターンを記録するバーストパターン記録部と;
前記磁気ディスクの半径方向に磁気ヘッドの出力信号を測定してオフトラックプロファイルを生成するプロファイル生成部と;
前記オフトラックプロファイルから目標トラックの振幅減少比率を測定して前記振幅減少比率に該当する磁気記録幅を算定する磁気記録幅測定部と;
前記振幅減少比率と磁気記録幅とが対応付けされたデータを貯蔵するデータベースと;
を含むことを特徴とする,バーストパターンの利用による磁気ディスクの磁気記録幅測定装置。 - 請求項1から3のうちいずれかの方法をコンピュータにて実行させるためのプログラムを記録したことを特徴とする,コンピュータにて読取れる記録媒体。
