Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an undercover that covers a lower surface of a vehicle body.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In order to reduce the air resistance, the lower surface of the vehicle body may be covered with an under cover (see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-276867).
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In such an undercover, since the periphery of the tire is open, it is inevitable that mud, snow, and water wound up by the tire enter the inside of the cover. In order to discharge water or the like that has entered the inside of the cover, it is necessary to provide a drain hole, but water or the like may enter from the opening. Although it is conceivable to provide an openable / closable lid or check valve at the opening, the structure is complicated, and there is a difficulty in performing drainage work in a timely manner.
[0004]
The present invention has been made to solve such problems of the prior art, and its main purpose is to provide an undercover having a drain hole from which water or the like hardly enters from the outside. is there.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve such an object, in claim 1 of the present invention , an under cover (floor under cover 2 in the embodiment) covering the lower surface of the vehicle body is provided, and a recess (15) having a concave lower surface is provided. The drain hole (14), which is a long hole in the front-rear direction with its rear end in contact with the portion located on the vehicle body front side of the outer periphery of the depression, is provided. In this way, the air that flows along the lower surface of the undercover during travel is less likely to flow upward, and rather the air in the undercover tends to be sucked out during travel. Water does not easily enter and high drainage efficiency is obtained.
[0006]
Further, in claim 2, a bulge (13) that protrudes upward is extended in the front-rear direction, and a plurality of pairs of the depressions and the drain holes are provided in a row along a side edge of the bulge. It was supposed to be. Thereby, since water is guided to the lower part in the under cover, the drainage efficiency is further enhanced.
[0007]
Further, in claim 3, a cable clamp (17) for fixing the cable is provided above the under cover, and the drain hole is provided in accordance with the position of the cable clamp. Thereby, a drain hole can be utilized as a peephole for checking the clamp condition of a cable.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings.
[0009]
FIG. 1 is a view of a vehicle to which the present invention is applied as viewed from below. In this vehicle, almost the entire lower surface of the vehicle body is covered with an engine room under cover 1 and a floor under cover 2 for the purpose of reducing air resistance as much as possible.
[0010]
The engine room under cover 1 is divided into a front under cover 4 that is continuous with the lower surface of the front bumper 3 and a middle under cover 5 that covers the area directly under the engine. Further, the floor under cover 2 is divided into two parts on the left and right with the floor tunnel 6 as a boundary. These undercovers 1 and 2 are secured to the stays (not shown) provided on the frame side by using bolts and known plastic fasteners at their peripheral portions.
[0011]
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the pair of left and right floor undercovers 2 includes a side sill 7 formed of an aluminum alloy extruded material and a floor tunnel 6 in a floor F press-molded with an aluminum alloy plate material. For example, it is formed by stamping mold molding of a polypropylene resin material so as to close the space between the tunnel stiffener 8 joined to the lower surface of the rising portion. In addition, these are formed substantially symmetrically, and only what is located on the left side of the vehicle body will be described below.
[0012]
At the peripheral edge of the floor under cover 2, a flange-like portion 9 is formed by bending, and bolts and plastic fastener insertion holes 10 for fixing to the frame are provided at important points. In addition, a plurality of beads 11 having an arc-shaped cross section extend in the front-rear direction on both the left and right sides of the general surface in order to increase rigidity.
[0013]
The floor under cover 2 is formed along an outer ridge line of the floor frame 12 that obliquely connects between a center portion of a dashboard lower cross member (not shown) and both ends of a middle cross member (not shown). It is slightly refracted so that the side sill 7 side faces upward. In addition, a slight bulge 13 that protrudes upward is formed over a substantially entire length in the front-rear direction at a portion of the floor under cover 2 that is located on the floor tunnel 6 side. Then, three rows of drain holes 14 are provided in tandem along the fold line along the ridge line of the floor frame 12 and both side edges of the bulge 13.
[0014]
As shown in FIG. 4, the drain hole 14 is a long hole in the front-rear direction, and its rear end is formed so as to cover the outer periphery on the front side of the recess 15 that is concave downward. In this way, by providing the floor under cover 2 with a recess 15 whose bottom surface is concave, and by opening a drain hole 14 that partially covers the outer peripheral portion of the recess 15 located on the front side of the vehicle body, The air flowing along the lower surface of the floor under cover 2 is less likely to flow upward above the floor under cover 2, and rather the air in the floor under cover 2 tends to be sucked out while traveling. Is difficult to enter, and high drainage efficiency is obtained. Moreover, by making it a long hole, it is possible to make it more difficult for water or the like to enter from the outside with the same opening area.
[0015]
In addition to the above, by providing a slight bulge 13 that is slightly refracted so that the outer side is upward and is convex upward, a water gradient is added to the upper surface of the floor undercover 2, In addition, the drain holes 14 are arranged at the positions along the both side edges of the bulge, that is, at the lower part, so that higher drainage efficiency can be obtained.
[0016]
Note that a cable clamp 17 for fixing the cable 16 connecting the battery and the electric motor is attached to the vertical wall of the floor frame 12 on the floor tunnel 6 side, but the drain hole 14 and the cable clamp 17 are attached. If the positions are aligned with each other, the drain hole 14 can be used as a peep hole for checking the clamp state of the cable 16.
[0017]
A portion P1 located on the floor tunnel 6 side of the rear end edge of the floor under cover 2 faces the front wall of the fuel tank 18 (see FIG. 6). The edge portion P1 is bent upward in order to make the gap with the fuel tank 18 as small as possible to prevent intrusion of pebbles and the like and to increase the rigidity. Further, a stiffener 19 having a cross-sectional mountain shape made of another member and extending in the vehicle width direction is formed on the upper surface of the floor undercover 2 with a plastic fastener 20 so as to prevent the rocks and the like from entering the front side of the floor undercover 2. It is attached. A hole 21 is opened at an appropriate position between the edge portion P1 bent upward and the stiffener 19 so that pebbles and the like that have entered the upper surface of the floor undercover 2 fall off.
[0018]
A portion P2 that substantially overlaps with the tire when viewed from the front-rear direction of the rear edge of the floor undercover 2 is bent downward to prevent wind from hitting the suspension device, and bends upward when it hits a curb or the like when retreating. In order to make it easy, an upward radius is attached to the edge and a slit 22 is provided along the front-rear direction (see FIGS. 7 and 8). In addition, a round hole 23 having a diameter larger than the width of the slit 22 is provided at the end of the slit 22 to avoid stress concentration at the end of the slit 22. As a result, even if the rear end portion P2 of the floor under cover 2 hits against a curb or the like and is lifted, it can be deformed without any problem and cause a crack or the like.
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the air flowing along the lower surface of the under cover during traveling is less likely to flow upward, and rather the air in the under cover tends to be sucked out during traveling. A great effect is obtained in suppressing the intrusion of water or the like into the cover and increasing the drainage efficiency. In addition to this, if a water gradient is provided in the under cover and the drain hole is provided in the lower portion, higher drainage efficiency can be obtained.
