Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a manual card reader and a manual IC card reader. More specifically, the present invention relates to an improvement of a manual card reader that reads and records data by manually inserting and removing a card.
[0002]
[Prior art]
One manual card reader manually inserts and removes a card. In this case, as shown in FIG. 5, the manual card reader 101 can read the magnetic data of the card 102 by the magnetic head 103 by inserting / removing the card 102.
[0003]
On the other hand, in the manual IC card reader 104 as shown in FIG. 6, when performing data communication with the card 102, the contact 106 on the contact block 105 needs to be brought into elastic contact with the card 102 stopped at a predetermined position. Therefore, some of such manual card readers 104 are provided with a contact 107 each time the card 102 is in contact with the leading end of the card 102 for positioning. For example, the manual card reader 104 shown in FIG. 6 is configured to position the card 102 at a predetermined position with 107 provided for the contact block 105.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, such a manual card reader 104 cannot be ejected from the rear and collected in the apparatus even when the card 102 taken into the apparatus is no longer needed because it has been used or the like. There was no choice but to return. For this reason, the user of the card reader 104 has to bother to take the unnecessary card returned to the card insertion slot to the window and have it updated with a new card.
[0005]
In the unlikely event that the user forgets to remove the card 102 from the card reader 104, there is a possibility that another person may fraud and misuse the card 102.
[0006]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a manual card reader and a manual IC card reader that can collect a card that is no longer needed or a card that is not manually collected (forgotten card) in the apparatus. To do.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve this object, the invention according to claim 1 is provided with a card insertion / removal recess formed in the card insertion direction in the frame forming the card insertion slot, and the card is inserted into the card from the card insertion slot via the recess. In a manual card reader configured to move to the stop position and then pull out the card, a card discharge port for discharging the card at the card stop position to the rear in the card insertion direction, and the card from the card stop position to the rear conveying means and該搬driving means for driving the feed means is provided with a positioning means for positioning the card into the card stop position, it does not return to the card insertion port card or manually not recovered card conveying means for conveying the card discharge port And it is made to discharge | emit back from a card | curd discharge port by the drive of a drive means .
[0008]
Therefore, it becomes possible to temporarily collect a card that is no longer needed and no longer needs to be returned to the card insertion slot. Further, after data communication is completed, a card that is not collected from the card insertion slot can be ejected rearward from the card stop position after a predetermined time and collected in the apparatus.
[0009]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, a card insertion / removal recess formed in the card insertion direction is provided in the frame forming the card insertion slot, and the IC card is moved from the card insertion slot to the card stop position via the recess. In a manual IC card reader configured to contact the contact block on the contact block with the contact terminal pattern of the card for data communication and then to pull out the IC card, the IC card at the card stop position is inserted into the card. Card outlet for discharging backward in the direction, conveying means for conveying the IC card from the card stop position to the rear card outlet , driving means for driving the conveying means, and positioning for positioning the IC card at the card stop position And means for moving the contact block to the contact terminal pattern of the IC card so as to be able to be contacted and detached. Only, not recovered by the card or manually not returned to the card insertion port card is obtained by such backward discharged from the card discharge port by driving the conveying means and the driving means.
[0010]
Therefore, like the above-described manual card reader, it is possible to temporarily collect the IC card that is no longer necessary and does not need to be returned to the card insertion slot in the apparatus. In addition, after completion of data communication, an IC card that is not collected from the card insertion slot can be ejected rearward from the card stop position after a predetermined time, and collected in the apparatus.
[0011]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the manual IC card reader according to the second aspect, the positioning means abuts on the side edge of the IC card to stop the card and retracts from the corresponding contact position and the IC card. This is a positioning pin that can be moved between an allowable position that allows rearward conveyance of the lens. Therefore, the IC card can be stopped at the predetermined card stop position by the positioning pin at the contact position. Moreover, since the positioning pins move to an allowable position when the IC card is ejected rearward, it does not hinder the card movement.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail based on an example of an embodiment shown in the drawings.
[0013]
1 to 4 show an embodiment of the present invention. The manual card reader 1 is provided with a card insertion / removal recess 4 formed in a card insertion direction indicated by an arrow a in a frame 2 forming a card insertion slot 3, and the card 5 is inserted into the card 5 via the recess 4. The card is moved from the insertion slot 3 to the card stop position 6 and then the card 5 is pulled out.
[0014]
Here, the concave portion 4 is a concave portion recessed in the card insertion direction provided in the frame 2 so that the card 5 can be inserted / removed while holding the card 5 in the hand, and the card is inserted on both sides of the concave portion 4. A guide portion 22 serving as a travel guide for the time is provided. The shape of the concave portion 4 is not limited to that shown in the present embodiment, and may be any shape that enables or facilitates insertion / removal of the card 5. Further, the card insertion slot 3 in this specification refers to a portion of the bottom surface (back side) of the recess 4 in the card running path 14.
[0015]
In addition, the card 5 to be read by the manual card reader 1 of the present embodiment is an IC card having a magnetic stripe. The card 5 is not limited to this, and may be a card 5 having only a magnetic stripe or a card 5 having only an IC.
[0016]
In the present embodiment, in the manual card reader 1, the card discharge port 7 for discharging the card 5 at the card stop position 6 to the rear in the card insertion direction, and the card 5 is conveyed backward from the card stop position 6. A card 5 that is not returned to the card insertion slot 3 or a card 5 that is not manually collected is provided. Is discharged backward from the card discharge port 7.
[0017]
The card stop position 6 is a predetermined position set on the card travel path 14 so that the contact 11 is brought into contact with the contact terminal pattern 5a to perform data communication. For example, the card 5 is positioned and stopped at the position shown in FIG. The contact terminal pattern 5a is made to face the contact 11.
[0018]
The positioning means 10 positions the card 5 to the card stop position 6. The positioning means 10 is an optical sensor that can detect, for example, a side edge of the card 5 (an edge on the card 5 traveling direction side). When the positioning unit 10 detects the card 5, the positioning unit 10 stops the driving unit 9 and the conveying unit 8 and positions the card 5 at a predetermined card stop position 6. Therefore, it is unnecessary to hit the shape protruding from the contact block 12 as in the prior art.
[0019]
The card discharge port 7 is a transport port provided at the rear of the card stop position 6 in the card insertion direction, and enables the card 5 to be transported further rearward from the card stop position 6. As shown in FIG. 1, a card receiver 15 is provided at the rear stage of the card discharge port 7 so that the card 5 discharged rearward can be temporarily stored in the card reader 1.
[0020]
The conveying means 8 and the driving means 9 for driving the conveying means 8 are means for conveying the card 5 to the card stop position 6 and further conveying the card 5 backward from the card stop position 6. The transport unit 8 is, for example, a transport roller that contacts the surface of the card 5, and the drive unit 9 is a drive motor that rotationally drives the transport roller. For example, when a stepping motor is used as the drive motor, the stop position of the card 5 can be controlled by measuring the number of steps.
[0021]
Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, conveyance rollers that are synchronously rotated by the conveyance belt 18 are provided at two locations in the card traveling direction. In this case, in addition to discharging the card 5 backward from the card stop position 6 by the rear roller, the card 5 is moved auxiliary between the card insertion slot 3 and the card stop position 6 by the front roller. .
[0022]
Further, the manual card reader 1 of this embodiment includes an IC card contact block 12 and a magnetic head 21 for reading magnetic data of the card 5 as card information reading means. The magnetic head 21 also serves as means for detecting magnetic data of the card 5 and detecting insertion of the card 5. Although not particularly illustrated, the insertion of the card 5 may be detected by a front sensor formed of an optical sensor.
[0023]
The contact block 12 is a member that causes the contact 11 having elasticity to approach or separate from the contact terminal pattern 5a of the card 5, and moves obliquely with respect to the card running direction, and in the data communication state, the contact 11 at the contact position 12a. Is brought into elastic contact with the contact terminal pattern 5a. In the present embodiment, the parallel link mechanism 16 as shown in FIG. 2 is moved between the two frames 2 and 2 constituting the manual card reader 1 so as to move obliquely while keeping parallel to the card travel path 14. Provided.
[0024]
As shown in FIG. 2, the parallel link mechanism 16 includes two links having the same shape, and swings these links to translate the contact block 12 in parallel. In this case, the contact block 12 changes the distance from the card running path 14 while moving in parallel, and the contactor 11 is brought into contact with or separated from the contact terminal pattern 5 a of the card 5. Here, in this embodiment, the contact block 12 is moved between the contact position 12 a and the non-contact position 12 b by the moving means 13. This moving means 13 is, for example, a solenoid. Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the contact block 12 may be urged by the urging means 17 in the card drawing direction (the direction opposite to the card insertion direction a).
[0025]
The contact 11 is made of, for example, a steel wire wound inside the contact block 12. The contact 11 has elasticity by having one end as an open end, and the contact block 12 has a bent portion in contact with the contact terminal pattern 5 a of the card 5. It protrudes from one side. For this reason, the contactor 11 is in elastic contact with the contact terminal pattern 5a in a pressed state, and maintains a good contact state.
[0026]
In the present embodiment, the operation unit 19 protruding on the contact block 12 and the detection means 20 for detecting that the operation unit 19 has crossed are provided so that the position of the contact block 12 can be automatically detected. The detection means 20 is, for example, a photo interrupter including a light emitting unit 20a and a light receiving unit 20b, and the operation unit 19 is a plate-shaped shielding member that can enter and exit between the light emitting unit 20a and the light receiving unit 20b.
[0027]
The operation of the manual card reader 1 configured as described above will be described.
[0028]
First, when the card 5 is inserted from the card insertion slot 3, the driving means 9 starts driving when the magnetic head 21 detects the magnetic data of the card 5 or when the front sensor is activated along with the card insertion. Further, when the card 5 moves on the card running path 14, the magnetic data recorded in the magnetic stripe is also read.
[0029]
The manual card reader 1 issues a command each time from a host control device (not shown) during card transport and considers the driving speed of the driving means 9 so that the card 5 is in the vicinity of the card stop position 6 by the user. Positioning control may be performed in a state away from the position. In this case, even if the card 5 goes too far from the predetermined position, the card 5 is stopped at the predetermined card stop position 6 by using the conveying means 8. Further, the manual card reader 1 can continue the operation while temporarily setting the position where the card 5 is stopped as the card stop position 6.
[0030]
In the manual card reader 1 of the present embodiment, the inner walls on both sides of the card running path 14 are formed as guides during card conveyance. For this reason, as shown in FIG. 1, the card 5 can be transported without any problem even by the transport means 8 that is offset from the center of the card 2.
[0031]
Next, the driving means 9 and the conveying means 8 are stopped by the output signal of the positioning means 10 and the card 5 is stopped. Then, after the card is stopped, the moving means 13 is operated, the contact block 12 is lowered, and the contact 11 is brought into elastic contact with the contact terminal pattern 5a of the card 5 to perform data communication. When the communication is normally completed, the moving means 13 is returned to the original state, the contact block 12 is separated from the card 5, the driving means 9 is driven in reverse rotation, and the card 5 is conveyed back to the card insertion slot 3 side.
[0032]
On the other hand, when a communication failure is detected or it is determined that the card 5 is unnecessary, the driving means 9 is driven forward and the card 5 is discharged backward from the card discharge port 7. Therefore, even if the card 5 is misplaced in the manual card reader, the card 5 can be collected in the apparatus, so that it is possible to prevent a situation in which someone else frauds and misuses it.
[0033]
The above-described embodiment is an example of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, but is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. For example, in the present embodiment, an optical sensor is illustrated as an example of the positioning unit 10, but a positioning pin that abuts on a side edge of the card 5 (an edge on the traveling direction side of the card 5) can also be used. In this case, the positioning pin is provided so as to be movable between a contact position at which the card 5 is stopped by contacting the card side edge and a position retracted from the contact position. Thereby, when the card 5 is conveyed backward from the card stop position 6, the positioning pin does not hinder the ejection. If a plurality of positioning pins are installed in the card width direction, the card 5 can be easily positioned in parallel. The positioning means including such positioning pins may be any configuration that does not hinder card conveyance.
[0034]
【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, according to the manual card reader of claim 1, since the card that is no longer necessary and does not need to be returned to the card insertion slot can be temporarily collected in the apparatus, The user does not have to bother to take the unnecessary card to the counter and update it to a new card.
[0035]
In addition, if the user forgets to remove the card from the card reader, the card that is not collected from the card insertion slot after the data communication is completed is ejected backward from the card stop position after a predetermined time, and is put into the device. Since it can be collected, there is no risk of other people fraudulently using the card.
[0036]
Further, according to the manual IC card reader according to claim 2, like the manual card reader according to claim 1, the IC card which is no longer necessary and need not be returned to the card insertion slot is temporarily collected in the apparatus. In addition, after completion of data communication, an IC card that is not collected from the card insertion slot can be ejected backward from the card stop position after a predetermined time, and collected in the apparatus.
[0037]
Further, according to the manual IC card reader of the third aspect, the IC card can be stopped at the predetermined card stop position by the positioning pin at the contact position. In addition, when the IC card is ejected backward, it moves to the permissible position and does not hinder the card movement.
