Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic mail machine translation system, and more particularly to an electronic mail machine translation system capable of automatically machine-translating an electronic mail that requires translation.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an e-mail machine translation system is known in which a document sent by e-mail is machine-translated and a translation result is sent again by e-mail. For example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-21670 discloses a machine translation system that uses electronic mail as an input. This system has a specific e-mail address (in this specification, the address of a translation server device that accepts an e-mail that requires machine translation is referred to as a machine translation address), and is sent to that machine translation address. When the received e-mail is received, a part or all of the e-mail body is automatically machine translated, and the result is returned to the e-mail sender or designated recipient.
[0003]
The above-mentioned conventional e-mail machine translation system is basically intended to perform machine translation operations via e-mail, but people who lack the ability to read foreign languages such as English, By using such a machine translation system, an e-mail written in a foreign language (in this specification, an e-mail including an original text that requires translation described in a foreign language to be translated is referred to as an original e-mail. ) Was translated and read, there were the following problems.
[0004]
First, it is necessary to perform a complicated operation of finding an original mail written in a foreign language from dozens of e-mails received every day and sending the original mail to a machine translation address.
[0005]
In the above system, the original mail is translated, and the translation result is returned to the sender in the form of an electronic mail (in this specification, an electronic mail including the translated translation part is referred to as a translated mail). In that case, the sender of the translated mail becomes a machine translation address, and is not the same as the sender of the original mail. A commonly used electronic mail system has a function of displaying a list of electronic mail transmission / reception numbers, dates, times, senders / senders, subjects, etc., as shown in FIG. However, in the e-mail machine-translated by the above system, the sender becomes the machine-translated address (see No. 6 and 7 in FIG. 16), and it is confirmed which e-mail is the translated mail. In order to do so, it was necessary to look at the body of the e-mail one by one, which forced users to perform complicated tasks.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems of the conventional electronic mail machine translation system. The first object of the present invention is to automatically send an electronic mail to be translated (original text mail) to a machine translation address. By doing so, a new and improved e-mail machine that allows the user to identify the e-mail that needs to be translated from the e-mail list and to send the e-mail to the machine translation system can be reduced. To provide a translation system.
[0007]
Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to make it possible for the user to easily understand the translation result (translation mail) sent by e-mail by the list function of the e-mail list adopted in a general e-mail system, It is to provide a new and improved electronic mail machine translation system capable of user convenience.
[0008]
Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to provide a new and improved electronic mail machine capable of avoiding waste that an electronic mail once translated is transmitted again to the machine translation server and translated again. To provide a translation system.
[0009]
Furthermore, another object of the present invention can be easily realized by using a terminal device having a general automatic e-mail distribution function without adding a separate device or changing the system. It is to provide a new and improved electronic mail machine translation system.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, an electronic mail machine translation system according to the present invention includes a terminal device and a translation server device. The terminal device includes a receiving device that receives an e-mail and a transmitting device that transmits the e-mail. In addition, the translation server device includes a receiving device that receives an original e-mail including an original portion described in a first language, a translation engine that generates a translated e-mail including a translated portion obtained by translating the original portion into a second language, a translation And a transmission device that replies mail to the original mail transmission source terminal device. And in such an electronic mail machine translation system, the terminal device received A first email address and a terminal device email address that are already recorded in the header portion of the email including the original text portion described in the first language. Keep the contents of header information , Add the second header information about the mail address of the terminal device and the mail address of the translation server device, and based on the second header information, Which is sent to the translation server device. The header part retains the contents of the first header information of the original mail, analyzes the second header information of the original mail and adds reply header information, and sends the translated mail based on the reply header information. To send back to the source terminal Thus, the terminal device automatically sorts the translated mail based on the first header information of the translated mail. Configured. According to such a configuration, the content of the header information of the original mail is returned without change even in the translated mail, so that the user can easily determine the relationship between the original mail and the translated mail from many electronic mail lists. Is possible.
[0011]
further ,end The terminal device side is provided with a translation judging device for judging whether or not the received electronic mail needs to be translated, and the transmitting device uses the received electronic mail as the original text mail only when translation is necessary. If it is configured to automatically send to the translation server device, it is not necessary to judge whether or not the email received by the user needs to be translated, and the source mail that needs translation is automatically translated and translated. It can be received as mail. In addition, the judgment of whether translation on the terminal device side is necessary , Electric This can be done depending on whether the child mail is sent from a pre-registered mail address.
[0012]
Also , Trans If the translation server device is provided with a header analysis device that determines whether or not the received e-mail needs to be translated from its header part, the translation engine can be driven only when translation is required. Because the translation server device determines whether translation is necessary, it is possible to construct an automatic machine translation system for e-mails using the general mail automatic distribution function without changing the system on the terminal device side. Is possible. Also, the judgment on whether translation on the translation server side is necessary , Electric This can be done depending on whether the child mail is sent from a pre-registered mail address.
[0013]
Also , Trans The translation server device may be provided with a reply header creation device that adds the translated information to the original content of the header portion of the translated mail. And the translated information is, for example, , Trans It can be added to the title of translated mail. And , Trans The header analysis device of the translation server device, when the received e-mail has translated information, is not regarded as the original e-mail and can be configured not to execute the translation. Even if it is transmitted to the server device, useless operations such as retranslation are avoided.
Also ,end On the terminal device side, when the received e-mail includes translated information, the same effect can be obtained by configuring the received e-mail so that it is not automatically transmitted to the translation server device without being regarded as the original mail. can get.
[0014]
further , Trans If the transmission device of the translation server device is configured to add the translated information to the original contents of the header portion of the translated mail and send it back to the terminal device, the association between the original mail and the translated mail becomes easier. Is possible. The translated information is , Trans It can also be added to the title of the translated mail.
[0015]
Also, using such translated information ,end If the received e-mail includes translated information on the terminal device side, the received e-mail is not regarded as the original e-mail and is not automatically transmitted to the translation server device. Even if it has the same address as the mail, it is possible to effectively prevent a malfunction that is automatically transmitted to the translation server device based on the address information.
[0016]
Also ,end On the terminal device side, when the source address of the received e-mail is the translation server device, the received e-mail is not regarded as the original text mail and is not automatically transmitted to the translation server device. However, even if the translated mail has the same address as the original text mail, it is possible to effectively prevent a malfunction that is automatically transmitted to the translation server device based on the address information.
[0017]
further , Trans If the translation server device is equipped with a reply body creation device that composes the original text part and the translation part in the original mail and creates a translated mail, it is possible to refer to the original text part and the translated part simply by looking at the translated mail Therefore, the convenience of the user can be further enhanced.
[0018]
Also, if the translated mail contains the original text part and the translated text, if the original mail is deleted after the terminal device sends it to the translation server device by the deletion device, the total number of e-mails will not increase. E-mail management becomes easier.
[0019]
