Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an IC package into which a button type battery can be inserted and a substrate on which the IC package is mounted.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, button-type batteries for power supply such as pocket game machines and calculators are mounted in a battery storage space provided in a main body of a board or a game machine, and supply power to necessary places.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the method for securing the battery storage space as described above has a problem that the main body of the board, the game machine, and the like is enlarged by the storage space for the button battery.
[0004]
Therefore, a button type battery is accommodated in an IC package so that it is not necessary to secure only a battery storage space in the main body of a board, a game machine or the like, and the above problems are avoided. Yes.
[0005]
However, this type of conventional IC package has a problem that the size of the IC package becomes large in order to accommodate the button type battery, and the stored button type battery only supplies power to the IC chip in the IC package. Thus, power cannot be supplied to other IC packages on the same substrate.
[0006]
For this reason, if another IC package cannot secure a space for storing a button-type battery due to its structure, a space for storing the button-type battery must be secured on the substrate, which increases the size of the substrate. Could not solve the problem.
[0007]
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described conventional problems. The object of the present invention is to accommodate a button-type battery without increasing the size of the IC package, and to supply power to other ICs outside the IC package. An IC package that can supply the IC package and a substrate on which the IC package is mounted are provided.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention according to claim 1 is characterized in that, in an IC package that houses an IC chip, a negative electrode formed on a back surface of a substrate of the IC chip and the negative electrode are exposed. It is provided with a recess formed in the IC package and a positive electrode provided on an inner peripheral surface of the recess, and a battery is mounted in the recess.
[0009]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, the negative electrode exposed in the recess is electrically connected to a negative electrode pad of the IC chip, and the positive electrode provided on the inner peripheral surface of the recess is connected to the positive electrode of the IC chip. It is in electrical connection to the pad.
[0010]
The invention of claim 3 is characterized in that the negative electrode exposed in the recess is electrically connected to the negative electrode pad of the IC chip, and the negative power source is implanted in the IC package so as to be partially exposed to the outside. The positive electrode provided on the inner peripheral surface of the recess is electrically connected to the positive electrode pad of the IC chip, and a part of the IC package is exposed to the outside. It is to be electrically connected to the terminal for the positive power source provided.
[0011]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the negative electrode exposed in the concave portion is electrically connected to a terminal for a negative power source that is implanted in the IC package so that a part thereof is exposed to the outside. The positive electrode provided on the inner peripheral surface is electrically connected to a terminal for a positive power source planted so that a part of the positive electrode is exposed to the outside of the IC package.

In this case, the button battery 8 should be built in another IC package of an analog IC, for example. If the package is small and cannot be built in like an IC package of an analog IC, it is used for the substrate. However, in this example, this is ensured inside the IC package 1, so that the board can be reduced in size and the arrangement of components can be freely set. The degree can be improved. Other effects are the same as those of the first embodiment shown in FIG.
