【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a four-wheel drive system that switches between driving force transmission and cutoff on a driving path of a vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A so-called tight corner braking phenomenon occurs when a 4WD vehicle directly connected to the front and rear wheels turns on a paved road. As a means for solving this problem, the present applicant has proposed Japanese Patent Application No. 8-150940 and Japanese Patent Application No. 9. Further, in the conventional control method, when the LOCK mode is selected, it is unclear when the driver starts, so that even when the vehicle is stopped and idling, a current is always passed through the
[0011]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to speed up the current to the electromagnetic coil by additionally inputting a sensor for detecting the load state of the engine and determining the driver's acceleration intention earlier based on the output signal of the sensor. In addition, it is an object of the present invention to provide a four-wheel drive system capable of preventing the occurrence of a large shock at the time of sudden start on a low μ road by locking a two-way clutch.
[0012]
Further, another object of the present invention is to provide a power-saving four-wheel drive system by determining the driver's driving intention based on the output signal of a sensor that detects the load state of the engine even in the LOCK mode.

In order to solve the above-described problems, the invention according to
[0023]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0024]
The structure of the rotation transmission device is as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. In the 4WD system of the present invention, a sensor c for detecting the load state of the
[0025]
When the driver accelerates the vehicle by stepping on the accelerator, the engine load increases according to the acceleration, but the
[0026]
Particularly in an automatic transmission vehicle, there is a time lag from when the driver depresses the accelerator pedal until the torque is actually transmitted to the rear wheels.
[0027]
In the meantime, there is enough time to lock the two-
[0028]
Further, even when turning on a paved road, when the engine load is high due to sudden acceleration or the like, the
[0029]
Further, it is easily conceivable to change the setting value (setting rotation speed difference) of the conventional control logic that is locked by the front-rear rotation speed difference in FIG. 3 depending on the output level of the load sensor c.
[0030]
For example, a so-called air flow meter that measures the intake air amount of the engine can be used as the sensor c that measures the load state of the engine. The air flow meter detects the amount of intake air as a voltage ratio using a potentiometer, and the load state of the engine can be sensed from the voltage ratio.
[0031]
Further, the intake pipe negative pressure after the throttle valve can be detected by a negative pressure sensor to sense the engine load state.
[0032]
Figure 4 shows the output characteristics of the negative pressure sensor over. When the driver depresses the accelerator fully, the pressure in the intake pipe increases to near atmospheric pressure, and the output voltage of the negative pressure sensor increases.
[0033]
Conversely, when the accelerator is released, the pressure in the intake pipe decreases to a vacuum, and the output power of the sensor decreases.
[0034]
Further, an accelerator throttle opening sensor can be used as a sensor for measuring the load state of the engine. This sensor moves the potentiometer in conjunction with the throttle valve and outputs a voltage proportional to the throttle opening.
[0035]
In addition, an accelerator stroke sensor that detects a stroke position of the accelerator pedal and converts it into a voltage signal, an accelerator switch that detects a predetermined position of the accelerator pedal, and the like can be used similarly.
[0036]
An engine speed sensor (crank angle sensor) can also be used in the same manner, and it can be determined that the driver has accelerated rapidly from the difference between the engine speed and the wheel speed.
[0037]
These sensors may be analog or digital, and may output a signal indicating an appropriate range stepwise. Alternatively, a theoretical signal may be output when a certain value is reached.
[0038]
Only one load state sensor c as described above may be added and used, and even if a plurality of inputs are used to improve accuracy.
[0039]
Further, many of these engine load state sensors c are usually already installed for controlling the
[0040]
These sensor inputs may be directly input to the
[0041]
In addition, when the manual transmission vehicle is not engaged with the dry clutch of the transmission, the vehicle is not driven even if the accelerator is stepped on. Therefore, the driver's acceleration intention may not be accurately determined only by the engine load state sensor.
[0042]
In such a case, although not shown in the figure, a position sensor or the like is provided in the operating portion of the clutch pedal or the dry clutch, and the
[0043]
By the way, these engine load state sensors c can also determine the engine stall (engine stop) state based on the output voltage.
[0044]
When the engine stalls during traveling, the system grasps the engine stall state from these sensors c, stops the current output to the
[0045]
Of course, it is also possible to determine the engine stall state by inputting a logic signal from the engine control ECU to the
[0046]
When the LOCK mode (4WD-Hi, 4WD-Low) is selected by the
[0047]
Of course, if the engine is accelerated even a little, it means that the driver is willing to drive, and the output of the engine load state sensor c changes before the wheel movement. Apply current.
[0048]
Further, when the vehicle is traveling, that is, when the rotation sensors a and b of the front and
[0049]
By such control, even in the LOCK mode, when the driver does not intend to travel, wasteful power consumption can be eliminated, which is economical.
[0050]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the output from the sensor that detects the load state of the engine is added to the controller input of the rotation transmission device, and the control is performed based on this signal. The driver's sudden accelerator operation and driving intention can be predicted, so when starting on a low μ road, the 2-way clutch can be locked faster to make it 4WD, and the shock when it becomes 4WD Does not occur.
[0051]
Also, in the LOCK mode, a sensor that detects the load state of the engine can sense a state where the driver is not stepping on the accelerator while the vehicle is stopped. In this case, the current to the electromagnetic coil can be turned off, which is wasteful. Power consumption and heat generation can be suppressed.
[0052]
Also, the engine stall condition can be determined from a sensor that detects the engine load condition. If engine stall occurs during driving, the torque transmission of the rotation transmission device is cut off, ensuring safety and displaying a warning to the driver. be able to.
