本発明は、換気装置、特に、車両の乗員室と荷室とが区画されていない車両であって、その荷室寄りの室内空気を車外の大気側に排気するようにした換気装置に関する。

従来から、RV車(レクレーションビークル)や、乗用車タイプを含めたワゴン車等に代表されるように、所謂乗員室と荷室との間をパーテションで区画しない車両が知られている。

また、このような車両の荷室を形成する車体側壁パネルに主に荷室寄りの室内空気を大気(車体外部)へと排気する換気装置を設けたものが有る。

図6は、このような車両用換気装置の一例を示し、1は車体側壁パネルで室内側に位置するインナパネル2とアウタパネル3とを備え、車体側壁パネル1の車体上端にはウエルト部材4を介してサイドリヤウインドウガラス5が設けられている。また、車体側壁パネル1の荷室側の車体上下方向中途部にはフロアパネル6が設けられ、車体側壁パネル1の大気側の車体下方にはリヤバンパ7の一部が車体後部から回り込んでいる。尚、図6において、トランクルームトリムやカーペット等の室内装飾部材等は省略して図示する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、上記の如く構成された車両用換気構造にあっては、ファン10とドラフタ12とがダクト13によって接続され、このダクト13によって形成される排気経路P´が空間Pと気密状態で隔絶されているが、ダクト13はコスト的に高価なものであるばかりでなく、例えば、グリル8の前面が荷物等で塞がれてしまうと換気性能が悪化し、ファン10の冷却ができなくなって故障の原因となり得るという問題が生じていた。また、ファン10がOFFの時や故障している時などには、ファン10が通気抵抗となり自然換気性能が悪化するという問題も生じていた。

尚、このような換気性能や自然換気性能が悪化すると、例えば、車室内外の温度差等に起因してウインドウガラス等に水滴や曇りが発生し易く、しかも、車両に搭載された空気調和装置(冷・暖房装置)を作動させて水滴や曇りを除去しようとしても容易に除去することができない等の不具合が発生する。

さらに、上述した空気調和装置によって内気循環を行っている場合においてもファン10は駆動するようになっているが、この内気循環は、外気(大気)が汚れていることに起因して外気を車室内へと取り入れないために行っている。

従って、内気循環状態のときには車室内空気が他の部分から供給されない状態であるため、実質的には室内換気は行われず電力消費の無駄となるばかりか、ファン10の作動音だけがするという問題が生じていた。

本発明は、上記事情に鑑みなされたものであって、コスト低減を実現し得て、しかも、換気性能を向上させてファンへの負担を軽減することができ、しかも、自然換気性能をも向上させることができる車両用換気装置を提供することを目的とする。

また、内気循環を行っている際の電力消費の無駄を防止することができる車両用換気装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上述した目的を達成するため、請求項1に記載の発明は、乗員室と荷室とが明確に区画されていない荷室に位置する車体側壁パネルがインナパネルとアウタパネルとの閉断面構造によって形成されると同時に前記各パネル間に半密閉空間が形成され、前記半密閉空間は前記荷室と隙間を介して連通され、前記インナパネルに吸気開口が形成され、前記アウタパネルに排気開口が形成され、前記吸気開口に対向するように前記インナパネルにファンが装着され、前記半密閉空間側から車外の大気側に向かう前記排気開口の空気の流通を許容し且つ大気側から前記半密閉空間側に向かう前記排気開口からの空気の流通を遮断するドラフタが設けられ、前記ドラフタは前記排気開口に取り付けられたブラケットと、前記ブラケットに開閉可能に取り付けられて前記排気開口に対向するフラッパが設けられ、前記ファンの回転に伴う前記吸気開口から吸引された荷室側の空気を前記半密閉空間で加圧することにより開放されて、前記排気開口から車外に空気を排出する前記フラッパが設けられて構成されている車両用換気装置を特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明の車両用換気装置の実施の形態を図1乃至図5の図面に基づいて説明する。

そして、ファン駆動用スイッチ42をONした状態にあるときに、内気循環状態でないことを空調状態検出手段43が検出すると、リレー45に励磁電流が流れ、これによりモータ46が駆動してファン31が回転すると同時にインジケータランプ44が点灯する。

尚、ファン駆動用スイッチ42がONしていても空調状態検出手段43が内気循環状態のみであることを検出しているときにはモータ46は駆動せず、インジケータランプ44も点灯しないように設定され、内気循環を行っている際の電力消費の無駄を防止することができる。

上記の構成において、上述した回路条件を満たしてファン31が回転すると、荷室内より空気が流れて半密閉空間30を加圧し、半密閉空間30の静圧が上昇し、この半密閉空間30と車外(大気圧)との圧力差が大きくなるので、その圧力によってフラッパ35による開口34aの閉成状態が解除され(ドラフタ36の開放状態)、荷室内からの空気は図1の矢印a,b,cのように車外に排気される。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように、本発明の車両用換気装置にあっては、乗員室と荷室とが明確に区画されていない荷室に位置する車体側壁パネルがインナパネルとアウタパネルとの閉断面構造によって形成されると同時に前記各パネル間に半密閉空間が形成され、前記インナパネルに吸気開口が形成され、前記アウタパネルに排気開口が形成され、前記吸気開口に対向するように前記インナパネルにファンが装着され、前記半密閉空間側から大気側に向かう前記排気開口の空気の流通を許容し且つ車外の大気側から前記半密閉空間側に向かう前記排気開口からの空気の流通を遮断するドラフタが設けられ、前記ファンの回転に伴う前記吸気開口から吸引された荷室側の空気を前記半密閉空間で加圧することにより前記ドラフタが開放されて前記排気開口から車外に排出するようにしたことにより、コスト低減を実現し得て、しかも、換気性能を向上させてファンへの負担を軽減することができ、しかも、自然換気性能をも向上させることができる。
