本発明は、電気掃除機に係わり、特にそのホースの改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の技術を図10乃至図11に基づいて説明する。従来、図に示す如く、電気掃除機のホース21は、可撓性の蛇腹状ホース22の両端部に各々接続部材23、24を接続し、本体側接続部材23を介して掃除機本体25の吸込口26に接続するようになっているが、図10に示す掃除状態において、掃除機本体25が敷居等の段差に引っ掛かった際等に、ホース21を引っ張って掃除機本体25を引き寄せると、蛇腹状ホース22は接続部材23、24との重合部分端部、即ち、接続部材23、24端部において多大な負荷を受けて急激に屈曲し、このような動作を繰り替えると蛇腹状ホース22が破損する恐れがある。

また、使用者がホース21の手元側を持ち上げると、蛇腹状ホース22が下方に下がるため、蛇腹状ホース22の手元側における蛇腹状ホース22と手元側接続部材24との重合部分近傍が急角度に曲げられると共に、掃除中の吸込具27の前後移動において、吸込具27を使用者側に引き寄せた際には、蛇腹状ホース22の手元側重合部分近傍がさらに急角度に曲げられる。蛇腹状ホース22と接続部材24との重合部分を被うカバー28の寸法が蛇腹状ホース22と接続部材24との重合代と略等しいため、蛇腹状ホース22が接続部材24の端部を支点として急激に曲がり、蛇腹状ホース22の手元側重合部分近傍が疲労して破れる問題がある。

さらに、近年、電気掃除機の収納時には、図11に示すごとく、掃除機本体25を立てた状態に保持し、ホース21及び延長パイプ29等を掃除機本体25に接続したまま延長パイプ29に設けた係止部を掃除機本体25に係止して収納することが行われているが、この収納状態では、蛇腹状ホース22の手元側重合部分近傍が急角度に曲げられた上体に保持されるため、手元側重合部分近傍が疲労して破損する問題がある。

本発明の第1の手段は、前方に吸込口を形成した掃除機本体と、一端を前記吸込口に着脱自在に接続すると共に他端に延長パイプの一端を接続する可撓性ホースと、前記延長パイプの他端側に取り付けられる床用吸込具とを備え、前記可撓性ホースは、吸込口に接続される第1接続部材と、前記延長パイプに接続される第2接続部材と、前記第1、第2接続部材間を連結する可撓性ホース部材と、前記第1接続部材に取り付けられ、前記ホース部材と第1接続部材との重合部分を被う第1カバーと、前記第2接続部材に取り付けられ、前記ホース部材と第2接続部材との重合部分を被う第2カバーとから構成すると共に、前記第1カバーのホース部材側にホース部材外周を被う蛇腹状のプロテクターを装着したことを特徴とする。
