Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a golf club head in which a batch provided for decoration, identification, direction indication, or the like is provided on a part of a head surface excluding a face surface which is a hitting surface.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Some golf club heads have thin and light batches attached for the purpose of decoration, identification or direction indication. In particular, in the cavity iron, a concave portion having an area slightly smaller than the bottom surface is engraved on the bottom surface of the cavity formed behind the face surface, and a batch having a size approximately the same as the concave portion. There are many models that are stuck to embed the whole.
The embedded type as described above is employed for batch alignment and prevention of peeling. Many iron clubs have a brand name or mark displayed on the surface of the batch.
In addition, the batch itself is a resin batch produced by punching a resin plate on an aluminum foil base with a press machine, a metal batch produced by punching an aluminum material into a mold with a press machine, and plated on a metal mold. Thereafter, an electroformed batch produced by peeling the plated portion itself and punching it with a press machine is used.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional batch sticking, it is necessary to match the outer shape of the recessed portion and the outer shape of the batch with a considerable degree of accuracy. For example, in the case of the cavity iron, since the head body is usually manufactured by casting a predetermined metal material, the accuracy of the outer shape of the recessed portion is reduced due to variations in the amount of shrinkage during casting. Therefore, it is necessary to manufacture the batch by making the size of the batch excessively smaller than the size of the recessed portion. Therefore, a large gap is formed between the outer edge of the recessed portion and the outer edge of the batch, and the appearance of the club head is impaired.
[0004]
Also, in the club set, the club head weight increases as the iron count increases, that is, the short iron increases, so the contraction amount increases, and if each count batch is prepared in the same size, Variations occur in the gap between the recessed portion and the batch, and the batch attachment position cannot be unified.
[0005]
Furthermore, in order to make the gap as small as possible, the shape of the recessed portion of the head requires high accuracy, and after the head is manufactured and the outer shape is confirmed, the batch outer shape is determined and the batch press Since the mold is manufactured, there is a problem that the development or manufacturing period of the head becomes long.
[0006]
Therefore, in view of such circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a golf club head having a batch that is excellent in appearance and easy to process a sticking part.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, the present invention forms a recess in a portion of the back surface of the face of a cavity formed behind the head, a convex portion to be fitted into the recess the convex The batch is composed of a display portion provided on one side of the portion and larger than the outer shape of the convex portion and larger than the outer shape of the opening of the concave portion, and the convex portion of the batch is fixed to the bottom surface of the concave portion to be recessed at the display portion. Covering the entire opening of the part, providing a gap between the outer shape of the concave part and the convex part for facilitating batch attachment work, and displaying between the opening end of the concave part and the outer edge of the display part The adhesive member is attached to the entire lower surface of the projection and the entire lower surface of the convex portion .
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention and is a rear view of a third head 1 of a cavity iron.
[0009]
In FIG. 1, a cavity 2 is formed behind the head 1, and an elliptical recessed portion 4 having a depth of 0.5 mm is formed on the back surface of the face surface 3 in the cavity 2. The size of the opening of the recessed portion 4 is an ellipse having a major axis of 51 mm and a minor axis of 16 mm. A batch 5 having a display portion 5A having an outer shape larger than the opening is attached to the recessed portion 4.
[0010]
FIG. 2 shows an enlarged cross-sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. 1, and the batch 5 is made of an aluminum alloy and has an elliptical display portion 5A having a major axis of 55 mm and a minor axis of 20 mm and a thickness of 0. It is composed of an elliptical convex portion 5B having a major axis of 5 mm and a major axis of 49 mm and a minor axis of 14 mm, and is manufactured by punching with a press.
[0011]
Therefore, when the convex portion 5B of the batch 5 is fitted to the concave portion 4 and the batch 5 is adhered, in this embodiment, a large gap 6 of 1 mm is formed between the outer shape of the concave portion 4 and the convex portion 5B. The batch sticking work becomes easy.
[0012]
Double-sided adhesive tape is attached as an adhesive member 7 to the lower surface of the display portion 5A between the open end of the recessed portion 4 and the outer edge 51 of the display portion 5A and the entire lower surface of the convex portion 5B. The bottom surface of the recessed portion 4 is denoted by reference numeral 4A.
[0013]
The thickness x of the convex portion 5B is the thickness a of the adhesive member 7 (double-sided adhesive tape in this embodiment) adhered to the lower surface of the outer edge portion in order to prevent peeling from the outer edge 51 of the display portion 5A. It is preferable that the thickness is set to be equal to or less than the depth b of the concave portion 4 so as to be as thin as possible (so that the thickness is not more than the thickness c of the adhesive member 7 on the lower surface of the convex portion 5B. In this example, x = b (0.5 mm). In addition, in FIG. 2, since the thickness x of the convex portion 5B is x = b + (ac) in FIG. 2, it is understood that x ≦ b when a ≦ c. . The values a and b are preferably 0.1 to 0.4 mm when using a double-sided adhesive tape.
[0014]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, a concave portion is formed on a part of the head surface excluding the face surface, and the convex portion fitted into the concave portion and the convex portion provided on one surface of the convex portion. The batch is composed of a display portion larger than the outer shape of the recess and larger than the outer shape of the opening of the recessed portion, and the convex portion of the batch is fixed to the bottom surface of the recessed portion, and the entire opening of the recessed portion is covered with the display portion. In addition, since the batch is stuck in place and the outer shape of the batch body is larger than the opening outer shape of the recessed portion, the opening is covered as if covered by the batch. Part) and the recessed part are concealed to improve the appearance of the head. Further, even when the outer shape of the recessed portion changes due to the difference in weight between the respective irons in the club set and the batch is stuck to the recessed portion, it does not stand out. Therefore, it is not necessary to finish the outer shape of the recessed part of the head with high accuracy during processing, and it is not necessary to strictly adjust the fitting part between the batch and the recessed part of the head, and the batch sticking part can be easily processed. Become. In addition, unlike the conventional method, it is not necessary to first check the internal dimensions of the recessed portion after casting and then follow the procedure for determining the dimensions of the batch external mold (press punching mold). The club production period or development period can be shortened. Further, as described in the previous embodiment, an adhesive member such as a double-sided adhesive tape is attached to the lower surface of the batch between the open end of the recessed portion and the outer edge of the batch, and is fixed to the outer surface of the head. Therefore, peeling of the batch during use of the club is prevented.
[0015]
In particular, in the case of a cavity iron, the outer edge of the batch according to the present invention is disposed at the bottom of the cavity (cavity opened behind the head), so that it is difficult to receive an external force during use and the batch is not easily peeled off.
[0016]
Additionally, than the thickness before Symbol convex portion obtained by the following depth of the recessed portion, the thickness of the adhesive member disposed between the lower surface and the head of the outer surface of the outer edge portion of the batch body thinner Therefore, the batch can be firmly attached to the head surface in combination with the adhesive force of the adhesive member disposed on the lower surface of the convex portion.
