Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus having a voice synthesizing function of voice synthesizing and outputting information of various functions and settings of a device stored as text data.
[0002]
Problems to be solved by the prior art and the invention
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in various information processing apparatuses such as a telephone apparatus, a facsimile apparatus, and a copying apparatus, current setting information and guidance information indicating the function and setting procedure are displayed on a display to guide a user's operation. There is something. Furthermore, in order to provide the user with more convenience, there has been proposed an apparatus that synthesizes text data representing the guidance information and the like by voice and outputs the voice.
[0003]
However, the audio output in such a case is merely an auxiliary to inform the user of specific setting information and guidance information displayed on the display, and other functions and setting information are still displayed on the display. There was no choice but to check the displayed document information. This can be solved by, for example, outputting all the information displayed on the display by voice, and grasping the setting information, etc., but in that case, it is equivalent to reading out by the voice output. This takes time, which hinders quick setting processing.
[0004]
Further, in the information processing apparatus, various settings can be changed by an external operation such as a predetermined key operation. For example, in a facsimile apparatus, the previous user can change the setting of the resolution or the like from the default setting value. Due to the change, there is a problem that the next user transmits and outputs without noticing that, and the resolution and the like of the image data to be output at the destination are reduced. Also, for example, in a copying apparatus, since the previous user changed the setting of the number of copies from one to a plurality of sheets, the next user uses it without noticing it, and despite the fact that one sheet is sufficient, a plurality of sheets are used. Often, the problem that a copy is made occurs. Such a problem occurs not only in a facsimile apparatus and a copying apparatus but also in various information processing apparatuses.
[0005]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an information processing apparatus capable of promptly and surely ascertaining the content of a setting change, and operating with a setting that is intended by a user.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, which has been made in view of the above problem, operates based on each set value of a plurality of preset set parameters, and can change the set value of each set parameter by an external operation. It is configured.
[0007]
The “information processing device” here includes various devices such as a telephone device, a facsimile device, and a copying device that can change setting values of various functions performed by the device. The "setting parameters" include, for example, an answering machine mode setting, a sound setting for a ringing tone, a wake-up call time setting for a telephone device, and a resolution, density, reduction ratio, etc. for a facsimile device. Setting, setting of overseas transmission mode, setting of cover page (sending table), etc., and in the case of a copying apparatus, setting of printing paper size and printing direction, density, enlargement / reduction ratio, etc. . The set values of these various setting parameters can be changed by an external operation such as a predetermined key operation including a remote control operation.
[0008]
Then, before starting the operation based on each set value, the setting change detecting means determines, for a plurality of set parameters, those whose set values have been changed from a predetermined reference set value, the type and the type of the set parameters. The changed setting value is detected, and the voice synthesizing unit performs voice synthesis on the text data representing the type of the setting parameter detected by the setting change detecting unit and the content of the changed setting value. Then, the voice output means outputs the voice synthesized by the voice synthesis means.
[0009]
Here, the “text data” includes a control code for setting various setting parameters, various functions of the apparatus, and document information indicating current setting information.
According to such a configuration, audio output is performed for a plurality of setting parameters whose set values have been changed from a predetermined reference set value. As a result, the user of the information processing apparatus can easily grasp the changed setting information, and does not forget to confirm the setting information as when the setting information is simply displayed on the display. Information can be grasped reliably. Specifically, for example, when the reference setting value of the resolution of the facsimile apparatus is “super fine mode (extremely high resolution mode)”, the previous user changes the mode to “fine mode (high resolution mode)”. Then, an audio output such as "the resolution has been changed from the super fine mode to the fine mode" is made. Therefore, if the changed current setting is contrary to the user's intention, the setting can be changed again. Further, since the information to be output as audio is limited, the processing time required for the audio output is short, and the original operation of the information processing apparatus can be started quickly.
[0010]
Although various types of reference setting values are conceivable, for example, as set forth in claim 2, a default value set when the information processing apparatus is manufactured can be set. That is, when the information processing apparatus is manufactured (shipped), a general-purpose setting value is set to some extent, and the setting value is used as a reference.
[0011]
According to such a configuration, it is possible to confirm the above-mentioned setting change based on the default value, and to confirm that the initial setting has not been carelessly changed, for example, in the inspection process of the information processing apparatus. .
That is, for an information processing device, for example, it is obligatory to record an individual serial number at the time of manufacture, but it is inconvenient if the serial number is rewritten in an inspection process before shipment or an inspection process during maintenance. bad. However, according to the above configuration, the fact that the serial number has been rewritten is notified by voice, so that the operator can reset the serial number to a regular number at that time.
[0012]
Alternatively, as described in claim 3, the reference set value may be a set value that is permanently set valid by the user of the information processing apparatus.
Here, the “setting value that is permanently enabled” is a setting value that is subsequently set by the user himself according to the frequency of use, and that is permanently enabled by a predetermined setting operation. It is. Referring to the above example, for example, when the setting value of the resolution of the facsimile machine at the time of manufacture (at the time of shipment) is “fine mode”, the frequency of “super fine mode” is high in a certain office, This corresponds to a case where “super fine mode” is set as a constant setting value of “. Therefore, even if a person temporarily sets another setting, the setting value returns to the permanent setting value after a predetermined time has elapsed.
[0013]
In other words, such a configuration is particularly convenient, for example, when a plurality of persons in the same office use the information processing apparatus and the settings are somewhat unified in the office. That is, even if the setting is permanent, once the setting is changed, the setting is not restored until a predetermined time elapses, so that the conventional device may perform an operation contrary to the user's will. However, according to such a configuration, a voice output indicating a setting change is output to a user who has used the device before the return, so that it is possible to effectively prevent the device from operating in an incorrect setting state. is there. In addition, since such audio output is performed, the user does not need to reset the set value changed by himself to a permanent set value for the next user, and can change the setting without hesitation.
[0014]
However, it is not necessary to perform the above-described processing every time even when the information processing apparatus is a property of an individual and its users are almost limited and the setting is hardly changed. It is thought that there is not.
Therefore, the operation start command means outputs a command signal for starting the detection operation of the setting change detecting means, and the setting change detecting means outputs the operation start command means. May be configured to perform a detection operation when a command signal is received from.
[0015]
In this case, the operation start instructing means automatically outputs an instruction signal at a timing when the user tries to operate the information processing apparatus, for example, when a copy button is pressed in a copy apparatus. Alternatively, it may be detected that the user has pressed the dedicated button, and the command signal may be output at that timing.
[0016]
According to this configuration, audio output indicating a setting change is not output when there is no relation at all, and audio output can be performed at an appropriate timing when necessary. In particular, in the latter case, for example, when a large amount of documents need to be copied by a copying apparatus, or when a large number of documents need to be transmitted by facsimile, etc. Only in this case, the user can press a dedicated button just in case to confirm whether or not there is a setting change. Therefore, prompt processing can be performed as needed without unnecessarily increasing the operation of the information processing apparatus.
[0017]
In addition, not only the previous user's setting change as described above, but also the configuration may be configured so that when the user himself / herself changes the setting, the content can be confirmed.
In this case, for example, as described in claim 5, the sound output means may output the sound at the timing when all the setting changes of the setting values of the respective setting parameters have been completed by an external operation.
[0018]
According to such a configuration, even when the user incorrectly performs a setting contrary to the intention, the user can notice the error by voice output and can change the setting again. For example, when the setting is changed remotely using a remote control device, when the setting in the remote control mode is completed or when the user exits the remote control mode, the content of the setting change differs from the reference setting value. In this case, the sound is output, and it is possible to confirm whether or not the change has been made as set by the user by listening to the sound. If the setting is incorrect, the setting can be changed again.
[0019]
Further, for example, when the setting has been changed by the previous user and it is desired to further set the setting contents after the change, it is convenient if the setting method concerning the setting object is guided by voice.
Therefore, as described in claim 6, the voice synthesizing unit further voice-synthesizes text data representing guidance information regarding the changed setting parameter, and the voice output unit voice-synthesizes the voice synthesizing unit. The guidance information may be output as voice.
[0020]
According to this configuration, the user can acquire voice guidance information only for the setting parameter related to the setting change, and can easily and quickly change the setting of the setting parameter according to the guidance information. Can be.
[0021]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[First embodiment]
FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating an electrical configuration of a facsimile apparatus according to a first embodiment of the information processing apparatus of the present invention.
[0022]
The facsimile apparatus 1 of the present embodiment is configured as a multi-function apparatus having a facsimile function, a telephone function, a copy function, and the like, and is externally connected to a telephone line as shown in FIG. The facsimile apparatus 1 includes a controller 11 for executing various controls, an operation panel 12, a liquid crystal display (LCD) 13, a wireless control circuit 14, a speaker control circuit 15, a dictionary memory 16, an image memory 17, a scanner 18, a printer 19, It comprises an encoder / decoder 20, a modem 21, a buffer 22, a line control circuit (NCU) 23, a receiver 24, and a bus line 25 connecting these.
[0023]
The controller 11 is configured as a logical operation circuit including a CPU 31, a ROM 32, a RAM 33, an EEPROM 34, and the like. The CPU 31 executes various control processes such as a facsimile communication process, a telephone communication process, a copy process, and a voice synthesis process. The ROM 32 stores a control program necessary for the CPU 31 to execute these various control processes, data necessary for the control processes, and the like. A predetermined area of the RAM 33 is used as a work area or a buffer area for various control processes, and stores current setting information of each function. Further, in the EEPROM 34, information associated with the fax number or telephone number of the calling apparatus registered in advance and the registered name thereof, reference setting values of each function described later, and the like are rewritably stored. .
[0024]
The operation panel 12 includes a numeric keypad used for inputting a facsimile number and a telephone number for communication with the outside, a function key for performing mode switching when executing a facsimile function, a telephone function, or a copy function, and the like. Have.
The LCD 13 displays the number or the like selected by the operation panel 12 or, when the user has subscribed to a so-called “number display service” or the like, displays caller information such as a registered name of the calling device. Or display messages and guidance on various device management.
[0025]
The wireless control circuit 14 is a circuit for performing wireless communication with a not-shown remote controller or the like via an antenna 14a.
The speaker control circuit 15 adjusts a voice input from outside through an external line or a voice synthesized by a voice synthesis process described later to a predetermined volume level. Then, the speaker 15a outputs this sound.
[0026]
The dictionary memory 16 stores various dictionary data such as a conversion dictionary for kanji / kana conversion and a voice dictionary for voice synthesis (sometimes called a waveform dictionary). Data is read.
The image memory 17 is for temporarily storing received image data when receiving a facsimile, transmission image data read from a document when transmitting a facsimile, image data read from a document when copying, and the like. There is a dynamic RAM (DRAM) having a relatively large capacity. The transmitted / received image data is temporarily stored in the image memory 17 and transmitted to the other party or erased after being printed on the recording paper by the printer 19.
[0027]
When performing facsimile transmission or copying, the scanner 18 reads an image from a document, and the printer 19 prints out a facsimile document, a copy image, a guidance document of each device, or the like received from the outside on a recording sheet.
The encoder / decoder 20 encodes an image read by the scanner 18 and decodes received image data and the like stored in the image memory 17 and the buffer 22. At this time, the decoded image data is printed on recording paper by the printer 19.
[0028]
The modem 21 modulates or demodulates transmission data to perform facsimile transmission / reception to / from the outside via a telephone line, and the buffer 22 stores data including encoded image information transmitted / received to / from the other party's facsimile apparatus. Is temporarily stored. Further, the NCU 23 controls connection between the modem 21 and the telephone line with a partner device.
[0029]
Next, a process executed by the controller 11 at the time of transmission by the facsimile machine 1 of the present embodiment will be described with reference to the flowcharts of FIGS. Note that the facsimile apparatus 1 of this embodiment is characterized in that when the setting of various functions is changed from the reference set value, the user is notified by voice, and the voice synthesis processing itself is publicly known. Since the technique described above is used, the principle description of the speech synthesis processing is omitted.
[0030]
When it is determined that a document to be transmitted is inserted into a document insertion slot (not shown), and as shown in FIG. 2, the user presses a start button on the operation panel 12 to input a command signal to start a reading process (S110: YES), a reading process for a setting change portion of various setting parameters at the time of transmission is performed (S120). In this embodiment, a set value frequently used by the user of the facsimile machine 1 is set as a reference set value for determining the setting change, and is stored in the EEPROM 34 as described above. Further, since the current setting information is stored in the RAM 33, the presence or absence of a setting change is determined by comparing the reference setting value with the current setting information.
[0031]
Specifically, “image quality”, “density”, “presence and type of transmission table”, and “presence / absence of overseas transmission mode” are set as setting parameters at the time of transmission.
Here, “image quality” indicates the resolution at which the image of the document is read, and “super fine”, “fine”, and “standard” can be selected from those having the higher resolution. "Fine" is set.
[0032]
The “density” indicates the density when reading the image of the document. In the present embodiment, the density level can be set stepwise by numerical values of 1 to 7. The larger the numerical value is, the higher the density is. The standard density “level 4” is set as the reference set value.
[0033]
In addition, the “transmission table” is set in a predetermined format in advance according to the destination, and it is possible to select whether or not to attach the transmission table and, if so, which transmission table to attach. "No sending table attached" is set as the standard setting value.
Further, the “overseas transmission mode” can be selected as “set (on)” as necessary when transmitting overseas, and “not set (off)” is set as a reference set value.
[0034]
Since these reference set values are permanently enabled, even if a person temporarily changes to another set value, the set value returns to the set value after a predetermined time has elapsed. ing.
In the reading process shown in FIG. 3, first, the image quality setting is checked (S210), and it is determined whether or not the image quality setting has been changed (S220). At this time, if the previous user selects, for example, “standard” different from the reference set value “fine” and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference set value (S220: YES) Then, a document indicating that fact is read out in advance (S230).
[0035]
Specifically, for example, a read sentence such as “the image quality setting has been changed from“ fine ”to“ standard ”” is assembled as text data on the RAM 33 or stored in advance in the ROM 32 as text data. After selecting the text data of the corresponding reading sentence from the reading sentences, the speech data is synthesized with reference to the dictionary memory 16 based on the text data. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0036]
Then, after the reading voice is output, or when it is determined in S220 that there is no change in the image quality setting (S220: NO), a density setting check is subsequently performed (S240).
At this time, if the previous user selects, for example, “level 6” different from the reference set value “level 4” and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference set value (S250: YES), a document indicating that fact is read out in advance (S260).
[0037]
Specifically, for example, a read sentence such as “the density setting has been changed from“ level 4 ”to“ level 6 ”” is assembled or selected as text data as described above, and then this text data , Speech data is synthesized with reference to the dictionary memory 16. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0038]
Then, after the reading voice is output, or when it is determined in S250 that there is no change in the density setting (S250: NO), a check of the transmission table setting is subsequently executed (S270).
At this time, if the previous user selects, for example, a "mailing table to company XXX" different from the reference set value "not attached" and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference set value (S280: YES), a document indicating the fact set in advance is read out (S290).
[0039]
Specifically, for example, a read-ahead sentence such as "a sending table addressed to company XXX is set" is assembled or selected as text data as described above, and based on this text data, Voice data is synthesized with reference to the dictionary memory 16. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0040]
Then, after the reading voice is output, or when it is determined in S280 that there is no change in the setting of the transmission table (S280: NO), a check of the overseas transmission mode setting is subsequently performed (S300). .
At this time, when the previous user selects, for example, “overseas transmission mode setting” different from the reference setting value “overseas transmission mode not set” and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference setting value (S310: YES), a document indicating the fact set in advance is read out (S320).
[0041]
Specifically, for example, after a read sentence such as “Overseas transmission mode is set” is assembled or selected as text data as described above, the dictionary memory 16 is referred to based on the text data. And the voice data is synthesized. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0042]
When the above reading process is completed, the process shifts to S130 in FIG. 2 to wait for a predetermined time, and determines whether or not the user presses the release button (S130). If the processing has been performed (S130: YES), a series of processing ends. That is, when the user notices that the setting is contrary to his or her own in the reading process, the user can press the release button to stop the transmission and reset the corresponding setting portion.
[0043]
On the other hand, if it is determined in S130 that the release button has not been pressed (S130: NO), transmission is started (S140).
As described above, in the facsimile apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment, of a plurality of setting parameters set at the time of facsimile transmission, voice output is performed for a parameter whose setting value has changed from a predetermined reference setting value. Therefore, the user can easily grasp the changed setting information. In addition, since the change information is output as a voice, it is not necessary to forget to confirm the setting information as when the change information is simply displayed on the LCD 13, and the change information can be grasped reliably. If the changed current setting is contrary to the user's will, the setting can be changed again, so that a situation in which the transmission setting is incorrectly transmitted to the destination can be avoided. Furthermore, since the information to be output as audio is limited to the changed information, the processing time required for the audio output is short, and the transmission operation, which is the original operation, can be started quickly.
[0044]
In this embodiment, the controller 11 corresponds to a setting change detecting unit, a voice synthesizing unit, and an operation start command unit, and the controller 11 and the speaker control circuit 15 correspond to a voice output unit.
Then, among the processes executed by the controller 11, the process of S110 shown in the flowchart of FIG. 2 corresponds to the process as the operation start command means, and S210, S220, S240, S250, S270, and S270 shown in the flowchart of FIG. The processing of S280, S300, and S310 corresponds to the processing as the setting change detection means, and the processing of S230, S260, S290, and S320 corresponds to the processing as the voice synthesis means and the voice output means.
[Modification]
In the first embodiment, an example in which the facsimile machine 1 automatically shifts to the reading process when the start button is pressed is described. However, it is necessary to perform the above-described reading process every time when the user of the facsimile apparatus 1 is almost private, such as when the facsimile apparatus 1 is a personal property, and the setting is hardly changed. It is thought that there is not.
[0045]
Therefore, the flowchart of FIG. 4 shows, as a modified example of the first embodiment, a mode in which the operation of detecting a setting change is started by a user's dedicated external input, and the process proceeds to the reading process.
That is, the operation panel of the facsimile apparatus 1 of the present modification is provided with a dedicated reading button for executing the reading processing.
[0046]
Then, after a document for transmission is inserted into a document insertion slot (not shown), it is determined that the reading button has been pressed and a command signal for starting a reading process has been input (S410: YES). A reading process for a parameter setting change portion is executed (S420). The reading process is the same as that of the first embodiment shown in FIG.
[0047]
When the reading process is completed, the process waits for a predetermined time, and determines whether or not the user has pressed the release button (S430). If the release button has been pressed (S430: YES), a series of processing ends. That is, when the user notices that the setting is contrary to his or her own in the reading process, the user can press the release button to stop the transmission and reset the corresponding setting portion. On the other hand, when it is determined in S430 that the release button has not been pressed (S430: NO), the transmission process is started in the setting state at that time (S450).
[0048]
On the other hand, in S410, if it is determined that the reading button has not been pressed (S410: NO) and the start button has been pressed (S440), the transmission process is started in the setting state at that time (S450).
As described above, according to the present modification, audio output indicating a setting change is not output when there is no relation at all, and audio output can be performed at an appropriate timing when necessary. Therefore, prompt processing can be performed as needed without unnecessarily increasing the transmission operation of the facsimile apparatus 1.
[0049]
In this case, among the processes executed by the controller 11, the process of S410 shown in the flowchart of FIG. 4 corresponds to the process as the operation start command unit.
[Second embodiment]
In the present embodiment, an example in which the present invention is applied to a copy function of the facsimile machine 1 will be described. Note that the electrical configuration of the facsimile machine 1 is the same as that shown in FIG. 1, and a series of operations except the reading process is almost the same as that shown in FIG. 2 or FIG. Is omitted, and only the reading process will be described based on the flowchart of FIG.
[0050]
In the present embodiment, in order to perform a reading process of a setting change portion for various setting parameters “resolution”, “density”, and “reduction ratio” at the time of copying, each reference setting for judging the setting change is performed. The value is set in advance.
Here, “resolution” indicates the resolution at which the image of the document is read, and “super fine”, “fine”, and “standard” can be selected from the higher resolution setting values. "Fine" is set as the value.
[0051]
The “density” indicates the density when reading the image of the document. In the present embodiment, the density level can be set stepwise by numerical values of 1 to 7. The larger the numerical value is, the higher the density is. The standard density “level 4” is set as the reference set value.
[0052]
The “magnification” is set to copy an image of a document by enlarging or reducing it, and by changing the numerical value setting to “100%” as the same magnification as in a general copier. It can be enlarged or reduced. Then, “100%” is set as the reference set value.
[0053]
Since these reference set values are permanently enabled, even if a person temporarily changes to another set value, the set value returns to the set value after a predetermined time has elapsed. ing.
In the reading process shown in FIG. 5, first, the resolution setting is checked (S510), and it is determined whether or not the resolution setting has been changed (S520). At this time, if the previous user selects, for example, “standard” different from the reference set value “fine” and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference set value (S520: YES) Then, a document indicating that fact is read out in advance (S530).
[0054]
Specifically, for example, after a reading sentence such as "The resolution setting has been changed from" fine "to" standard "" is assembled or selected as text data as described above, this text data is also At this time, the audio data is synthesized with reference to the dictionary memory 16. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0055]
Then, after the reading voice is output, or when it is determined that there is no change in the resolution setting in S520 (S520: NO), a density setting check is subsequently performed (S540).
At this time, if the previous user selects, for example, “level 6” different from the reference set value “level 4” and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference set value (S550: YES), a document indicating that fact is read out in advance (S560).
[0056]
Specifically, for example, a read sentence such as “the density setting has been changed from“ level 4 ”to“ level 6 ”” is assembled or selected as text data as described above, and then this text data , Speech data is synthesized with reference to the dictionary memory 16. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0057]
Then, after the reading voice is output, or when it is determined in S550 that there is no change in the density setting (S550: NO), a check of the magnification setting is subsequently performed (S570).
At this time, if the previous user selects, for example, “75%” different from the reference set value “100%” and it is determined that the setting has not yet returned to the reference set value (S580: YES), a document indicating that fact is read aloud (S590).
[0058]
Specifically, for example, a read sentence such as “the copy magnification has been changed to 75%” is assembled or selected as text data in the same manner as described above, and based on this text data, the dictionary memory 16 is used. , And the voice data is synthesized. Then, along with the speech synthesis processing, the reading voice is output via the speaker control circuit 15 and the speaker 15a.
[0059]
When the reading process is completed in this manner, the release button is pressed by the user to end a series of processes or start the copy process, as shown in FIG. 1 or FIG.
As described above, also in the facsimile apparatus 1 of the present embodiment, of the plurality of setting parameters set at the time of the copy processing, voice output is performed for a parameter whose setting value has changed from a predetermined reference setting value. Therefore, the same effect as in the first embodiment can be obtained.
[0060]
In this embodiment, among the processes executed by the controller 11, the processes of S510, S520, S540, S550, S570, and S580 shown in the flowchart of FIG. The processing of S530, S560, and S590 corresponds to the processing as a voice synthesis unit and a voice output unit.
[Third embodiment]
In the present embodiment, the present invention is applied to the case where the telephone function (answering function) of the facsimile apparatus 1 is remotely controlled. When the user himself / herself changes the setting of each function, the contents are confirmed. It shows a possible configuration. Hereinafter, the remote control process will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. Note that the electrical configuration of the facsimile apparatus 1 is the same as that shown in FIG. 1, and a description thereof will be omitted.
[0061]
In the remote control mode of the present embodiment, for example, "ON" or "OFF" of the answering machine in the telephone function of the facsimile machine 1 is set, and the response message is set to different "standard", "pattern 1", It can be set by selecting from "pattern 2"... Or the reproduction volume of the recorded message can be set by selecting from "high", "medium", and "low". It is assumed that the answering machine mode is set to "OFF", the response message is set to "standard", and the playback volume of the recorded message is set to "medium" as the reference setting values for determining the setting change.
[0062]
When the user operates a remote control device (not shown) to determine that a setting command signal for the remote control mode has been input via the antenna 14a and the wireless control circuit 14 (S610), the remote control device receives an instruction from the remote control device. A setting process is performed according to the input (S620). The user operates the remote controller to make desired settings.
[0063]
When a setting end command is received from the remote control device and it is determined that the setting is completed (S630: YES), a reading process is performed (S640).
Since the reading process is performed in the same manner as in FIG. 3, a detailed description thereof will be omitted, but the answering mode, the response message, the recording message, and the like are changed from the reference setting values. Is subjected to voice synthesis processing, and voice output is performed.
[0064]
Specifically, a read sentence such as “the answering mode has been set” is stored in the ROM 32 as text data in advance, and when the answering mode is set to “ON”, this text data , Speech data is synthesized with reference to the dictionary memory 16. Then, together with the voice synthesis processing, the read voice is transmitted to the remote control device via the wireless control circuit 14 and the antenna 14a.
[0065]
If, for example, the user has not yet returned to the reference set value from the previous set value, the set value is output as an audio message, for example, "An absence message is set to" Pattern 1 "". Is done. If any of the setting states is contrary to the user's intention, the user can change the setting.
[0066]
Subsequently, a message for confirming the presence or absence of the guidance request is output (S650). That is, in the present embodiment, the guidance indicating the procedure for setting again the setting parameter whose setting has been changed from the reference setting value can be output. For this reason, if the user makes an incorrect setting in the above-described setting process, or if there is a setting parameter that is in a setting state contrary to his / her intention, such as when the previous setting state of the user remains, By issuing a guidance request for the corresponding setting parameter, the setting can be easily changed in accordance with the guidance. Note that this guidance request can be made for all setting parameters whose settings have been changed, or for that particular setting parameter.
[0067]
Then, it is determined whether or not there is a guidance request (S660). If there is no guidance request (S660: NO), a series of processes is ended.
On the other hand, when it is determined in S660 that the guidance request has been made (S660: YES), the guidance related to the request is output as voice (S670). Specifically, a guidance sentence for each setting parameter is stored in advance in the ROM 32 as text data, and voice data is synthesized based on the text data by referring to the dictionary memory 16. Then, together with the voice synthesis processing, the read voice is transmitted to the remote control device via the wireless control circuit 14 and the antenna 14a.
[0068]
When the user performs resetting by operating the remote controller in accordance with the guidance voice, the resetting process is executed in accordance with the resetting.
As described above, the facsimile apparatus 1 of the present embodiment outputs a sound indicating the contents of the setting change at the timing when all the setting changes of the setting values of the respective setting parameters have been completed by the external remote control operation. For this reason, even if the user mistakenly makes an incorrect setting in the remote control operation, the error can be noticed by voice output, and the setting can be changed again. For this reason, it is possible to avoid a situation in which the facsimile machine 1 operates erroneously.
[0069]
In addition, for setting parameters that the user wants to change again, the guidance for the setting can be output as a pinpoint sound, so that the user can easily and quickly change the setting of the corresponding setting parameter according to this guidance information. Can be done.
[0070]
Note that the above-described remote control is not limited to the remote control device, and it is needless to say that the above-described remote control can be similarly applied to the case of remote operation from an external telephone device.
The embodiments of the present invention have been described above. However, the embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above-described embodiments, but may take various forms within the technical scope of the present invention. Nor.
[0071]
For example, in the above-described embodiment, an example in which the present invention is applied to the transmission function and the copy function of the facsimile apparatus has been described, but if the other functions are configured to be changeable, the same applies. Can be applied to Further, it is needless to say that the present invention can be applied not only to a facsimile apparatus but also to various information processing apparatuses such as a telephone apparatus and a copying apparatus.
