Description
The present invention is a parachute injection device for injecting a parachute stored in a helicopter when an emergency occurs during the flight of the helicopter. The purpose is to save the lives of passengers.
Helicopters are equipped with a function that allows them to descend safely by autorotation (free-rotation flight) when the propeller stops due to an engine failure, but in recent years there have been many deaths due to crashes. The cause of this fatal accident is mostly due to traumatic shock and from burning and burning due to damage to the fuel tank due to ground impact during the fall.
I have seen a scene where a large airplane transporter parachutes a jeep or heavy weapon during a flight. In other words, the parachute has the effect of mitigating the impact on the ground when a heavy object falls.
Provided is a device for mitigating an impact when the parachute effect is introduced into a helicopter to fall on the ground or the sea. Accordingly, it is an object to eliminate the death of a passenger due to traumatic shock or the death of a fuel tank due to a damaged ignition.
As mentioned above, helicopters can be safely lowered when the engine fails due to the autorotation function, but contact accidents between helicopters due to carelessness of pilots, or multiple helicopters hit by a gust of winds when running in parallel and contact each other An accident that broke the propeller occurred. In the case of such an accident, a safe descent by the autorotation function is impossible. Therefore, in the case of such a sudden accident, an object is to operate the parachute device immediately and to descend safely.
Three cylindrical parachute storage cylinders 7 are provided in the lower part (lower part of the seat) of the helicopter (reference numeral 14). In the event of an emergency, the pilot opens the emergency operation panel 1 provided on the front instrument panel of the cockpit and activates the operation button to inject the parachute from the storage cylinder 7 of the helicopter. It is
The emergency operation panel accommodates a total of four operation buttons: a propeller rotation lock button 1a, a first parachute injection button 1b, a second parachute injection button 1c, and a third parachute injection button 1d. A safety lamp is attached to indicate that the equipment is already installed.
As long as the button 1a is operated and the propeller is not completely stopped, the patch injection buttons 1b, 1c, and 1d are interlocked so as not to operate.
If the parachute is injected before the propeller completely stops, the parachute cord 10 is cut by the propeller 15a. Therefore, the equipment of the propeller rotation lock device 14 is the first condition in this device.
In the stop device, the spring stopper 14c of the device is released by the operation of the propeller rotation lock button 1a housed in the emergency operation panel 1, and the steel propeller rotation lock bar 14a protrudes by the spring pressure of the spring 14b. (See FIG. 10).
The emergency operation panel 1 is provided on the front instrument panel of the cockpit so that a pilot can immediately operate in an emergency. (See [Figure 1])
The four operation buttons are housed in a transparent acrylic box and are strictly controlled by a pilot so that a third party cannot touch them during flight (see [FIG. 2]). For safety, the button 1a has a mechanism that does not operate unless the pilot presses it twice.

(B) indicates the position of the parachute code after the parachute injection.

The said cross section is sectional drawing of the injection apparatus in case the injection of a parachute is a compressed air system.
(A) The figure is the same sectional view before parachute injection, (B) The figure is the same sectional view after parachute injection. With respect to the 10-parachute code of FIG. 10, (A) shows the position before the parachute injection, and (B) shows the position after the parachute injection.
Reference numeral 13 in (A) and (B) of FIG. 7 indicates a removable air tank for storing compressed air, reference numeral 13a indicates an electromagnetic switch (hereinafter referred to as a solenoid valve) for compressed air injection, CA indicates compressed air. Reference B indicates the injection direction of the parachute. The solenoid valve operates the operation buttons (1b, 1c and 1d) housed in the emergency operation panel to perform an “open” operation. The compressed air ejected pushes the piston 6a to draw the drag parachute. 8 a and a mechanism for injecting the large parachute 8 from the parachute storage cylinder 7. The compressed air in the air tank is filled by a compressor provided in the maintenance shop. After filling, the air tank is loaded into a helicopter.
The parachute cord 10 is wound around a roller 9, and the roller is a mechanism that freely rotates when the parachute is ejected (see [FIG. 8]). The roller is fitted in the cylindrical frame 12 of the helicopter and is rotatable. (A) shows a state in which the parachute cord is wound around the roller. (B) shows a scene after the parachute is fired and the parachute cord is pulled out.
The large parachute 8 is sequentially ejected and deployed in the first parachute, the second parachute, and the third parachute. [FIG. 9] shows a scene when three large parachutes are drawn out by the drogue parachute 8a and developed.
The drogue parachute is responsible for pulling out the large parachute from the helicopter storage cylinder 7 immediately. The deployment of the large parachute will cause the helicopter to land softly and the occupant to escape from traumatic shock death or fuel burning.
Since the device of the present invention is intended for soft landing by the parachute effect, for example, it cannot cope with an accident caused by a low altitude flight caused by a helicopter caught on a high-voltage electric wire. This device when an engine stall occurs due to poor engine maintenance while flying over the sky, a pilot misoperation during a flight of a formation, or a crash caused by contact between helicopters due to a gust of wind Is to rescue the occupant.
