この考案は、糸・金具・接着剤などを使用せずに、額の中で浮いて見えるように扇を額に取り付けた扇額に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来の扇額は主に、扇を額の裏板または額の背景にあたる和紙やボードなどに、糸・金具・接着剤などを使用し貼り付けた形で固定し額縁に入れたものであった。従って、立体の扇でありながら固定されることで平面的なイメージに留まりがちであり、扇本来の持つ美しさを表現するには限界があった。また、額の形状も偏りがちであった。

【考案が解決するための手段】
本考案は、扇本来の美しさを表現できること、額の形状が多様化できることを基本とし、扇額のイメージを替えインテリアとして幅広く活躍出来るものを作ることを課題とし研究をすすめた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
扇額を発展させるためには、扇本来の美しさである、陰と陽、奥行きと平面（立体）、繊細さを潰すことなく表現することをポイントにすることである。どのようなものが理想かを実験と考察の結果、仕上がった扇を別の取り付け器具（糸、金具、接着剤など）を用いるのではなく、扇の製作工程の一部（かなめ／要 取り付け行程）と扇額に取り付ける行程を結合させ仕立てることが最上であると発案した。

【考案実施の形態】
本考案を実施するために、留め金の種類に関し試行錯誤するのではなく、扇本来の材料に立ち返ることにした。一時的に打った扇の要を外し、要の代わりに要の口径に見合ったネジを差し、額の裏板もしくは額の背面にあたる和紙などで出来ている板紙などと一緒に取り付ける方法をとった。

従来の方法とは違い、扇の形状以外の付属品が無くなったこと、傷（例えば扇面に穴を開けること）を付けずしっかりととまったことは良い。しかし背面との空間がほとんど空かず、張り付いた感じはそのままであったため、次にボルトを使用してみた。

背面との空間はナットで調節することが出来たため、宙に浮いたように見えるようになり、扇本来の美しさである、陰と陽、奥行きと平面（立体）、繊細さを表現できるようになった。そして、額の裏板の種類を選ばず取り付けることが出来るようになった。これにより、仕立て上がりの扇の雰囲気を変える（傷や余分な部品がつく）ことなく、また背面と扇に空間が出来たことで扇本来の美しさを表現できる額となった。また、ボルトを使用することで、従来和額に納めることが多かった扇額も、「洋」の空間にもあう現代的な額装にも違和感なく納めることができた。またアバンギャルドな雰囲気を持つことで、扇を飾るという表現方法に新しい美意識が加わり、現代美術に通じる新感覚の「額装」を展開する幅を広げ、多方面で幅広く活躍できる洗練された美意識を作り上げることが出来た。

本考案は以上のような結果から、扇本来の美しさを表現でき、また額を多様化できる可能性を広げることが出来た。額に取り付ける材料（要）は、一般的なボルト・ナット・ワッシャーであるため、コストも安く手扱いも簡単である。

【実施例】
扇製作工程の要は一時的に打つ。額の裏板もしくは、額の背面にあたる和紙などで出来ている板紙などに扇を取り付ける穴を小さく開ける。一時的に打った要を外し、要の口径にあったボルトを挿し、ナットで止め背面との空間をナットで調節し、ワッシャー、取り付ける板・ボードなど、ワッシャー、ナットの順にとめる。

【考案の効果】
本考案は以上のような構成により、扇本来の美しさである、陰と陽、奥行きと平面（立体）、繊細さを表現することが出来た。今までの額の形状は、枠のある額で裏は壁に密着して表面しか見ることが出来なかったが、この方法を用いることで額の素材は自由になり、壁に掛けるだけでなく、置き型式の額を作成することが可能となった。

例えば、額全体をスケルトンにすることで、更に浮遊感を増した扇を飾ることが出来るようになる。よって扇の陰影や、扇の形の美しさだけでなく、扇の表情の豊かさを表現する事が出来た。扇を飾るという表現方法に新しい感覚、美意識が加わることで、扇の持つ光と影の美しさや、形状からくる繊細さなどは、従来の「和」のイメージから現代美術としての新感覚、「洋」の空間までも場所を選ぶことなく、多方面で幅広く活躍できる洗練された美意識を作り上げることが出来た。

製作工程は、扇制作時に行う行程とほぼ同じ要領であり、特別な技術や特別な材料も用いないことにより、製作時間を削減でき、価格にも貢献できた。また、表現方法を自由にした。
