2. Description of the Related Art There are various types of terminals, also called barrel terminals or crimp terminals, as described below. For example, the barrel terminal 1 shown in FIGS.
Is obtained by stamping a single metal plate to integrally form a terminal connection portion 2 and an electric wire connection portion 3.
The wire W is crimped and connected by crimping. The shape of the wire connection portion 3 before connecting the wire W is a shape that is opened longitudinally along the axis and has a substantially circular cross section.
When the electric wire W is connected, the core wire is removed by stripping the sheath, and a portion of the sheath and the core wire are inserted into the wire connection portion 3 and caulked with a dedicated jig. At this time, if the diameter of the electric wire W is large, the electric wire connection portion 3 cannot be sufficiently swaged. Then, the diameter of the electric wire W is, for example, 0.3 sq to 0.5 s.
In the case of about q, as shown in FIG. 15, an inner diameter of the wire connection portion 3 is used, and the diameter of the wire W is 0.85 sq or more.
In the case of about 1.25 sq, a wire connection part 3 having a large inner diameter was used as shown in FIG. Therefore, the user of this terminal needs to prepare various types of barrel terminals 1 in order to correspond to the diameter of the electric wire W.

On the other hand, barrel terminals 5 shown in FIGS.
Is a terminal connection part 6 to be screwed and fixed to the counterpart terminal.
And the electric wire connection portion 7, which can be said to be a pipe, in other words, a pipe type, is integrally molded. The inner diameter of the electric wire connection part 7 is always the same diameter, and when connecting the electric wire W, the electric wire W is inserted into the electric wire connection part 7 from the core wire in a state where the coating is removed. By caulking with a jig, a concave caulking mark 8 is formed. At this portion, the electric wire W cannot be pulled out, and the core wire is connected to the electric wire connection portion 7, that is, the barrel terminal 5 so as to be able to conduct electricity.

In the barrel terminals 1 and 5 described above, since the inner diameters of the wire connection portions 3 and 7 are fixed, various types of terminals must be prepared according to the size of the wire W. . In addition, a special crimping standard is required for each size of the electric wire W, and the crimping type needs to be replaced every time the electric wire size changes. However, when a wrong crimping standard occurs, a connection error due to insufficient crimping and a terminal breakage due to excessive crimping are likely to occur. In addition, various problems have occurred, such as a decrease in work efficiency and an increase in material costs.

On the other hand, in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 48-73787,
A crimp terminal in which an inner diameter and an outer diameter of a cylindrical grip portion (corresponding to the wire connection portion) on the wire insertion side is enlarged is disclosed. However, since the inside diameter of the portion for caulking the inserted electric wire is fixed, the same problem as in the above-described conventional example occurs. Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open Publication No. Sho 50-121992 discloses a crimping terminal with a sleeve for crimping and connecting an electric wire by inserting a truncated conical sleeve into a cylindrical electric wire connecting portion, but the diameter of the electric wire connecting portion is determined. Therefore, it has the same problem as described above.

Japanese Unexamined Utility Model Publication No. 61-114686 discloses an example of a crimping apparatus and a crimping terminal to be crimped. Although the terminal has a wide end on the wire insertion side, it has a core wire. Since the diameter of the portion to be crimped is fixed to a certain size, it has the same problem as described above. Actual Kaihei 2-
Japanese Patent Publication No. 65869 discloses a contact pin in which a cut is provided in a cylindrical core wire lock portion, and the cut is closed using a locking ring after inserting the core wire of the electric wire. However, when the thickness of the core wire is smaller than the core wire lock portion, the electric wire cannot be connected. That is, it is necessary to use any of the conventional terminals according to the thickness of the electric wire, and the above-mentioned problem cannot be solved. An object of the present invention is to provide a barrel terminal and an electric wire connection device that can share a barrel terminal and a caulking type, thereby improving the efficiency of electric wire connection work and reducing equipment costs.

As described above, in the barrel terminal according to the present invention, the terminal connecting portion for inserting the electric wire is formed in a conical shape whose diameter gradually decreases from the opening side toward the tip.
When the diameter of the electric wire is small, the electric wire is inserted deeply into the terminal connection portion, and even when the electric wire is thick, the electric wire can be inserted to a position where it cannot be inserted by contacting the inclined surface. Therefore, regardless of the diameter of the electric wire, the electric wire can be electrically connected to the electric wire connection portion by being inserted into the electric wire connection portion and swaged. As a result, it is not necessary for the user to prepare various types of barrel terminals according to the difference in the diameter of the electric wire, and inventory management and process setup are facilitated. In addition, the electric wire connection device that performs the caulking can be shared, so that it is possible to reduce the facility cost, save time and effort for exchanging jigs, and improve workability. An electric wire connection device according to the present invention mounts a conical electric wire connection portion at a fixed position on a pedestal and lowers a tooth mold having a plurality of protrusions having steps corresponding to the inclination of the electric wire connection portion. This is to pressurize the wire connection portion and crimp and connect the wire inserted into the wire connection portion. Therefore, regardless of the diameter of the electric wire inserted into the electric wire connection portion, the crimped connection is reliably performed, and the reliability of the product using the barrel terminal can be improved.
