【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は画像処理装置に関する。 [従来の技術] 近年、入力−出力の双方を有する画像処理装置例え
ば、複写機ではスキャナ部以外の外部装置からも画像信
号を得て像形成が可能となってきている。 しかしながら、上記スキャナ部と外部装置では画像信
号の特性(カラー特性、階調特性等)において違いがあ
る。 複写機においては専用のスキャナ部に対応した補正処
理により信号補正を行うが、この信号補正をそのまま外
部装置から入力された画像信号に対しても適応した場合
には、形成された画像の再現性は必ずしもよいものには
ならなかった。これはスキャナからの画像信号と、外部
装置からの画像信号を1画面に合成する場合にも生じる
問題で、1画面の画像のある部分は良好に形成できるに
もかかわらず、他の部分は問題が生じることがあった。 この問題を解決すべく、異なる装置から入力される画
像信号に対して、対応した変換処理をおこなう装置が近
年開発されつつある。 [発明が解決しようとする課題] このような装置において異なる装置から入力される画
像信号を上述した変換処理を行いつつ、画像信号に含ま
れる特定色を検出し色変換処理を行うとする。 色変換処理では、例えば操作者は色変換する色を指定
し、この指定された色に対応する画像信号を上述した異
なる装置から入力される画像信号から検出する処理が行
われる。 しかしながら通常、操作者は上述した変換処理を行う
前の画像信号に応じた画像から色を指定するにも関わら
ず、指定された色に対応する画像信号の検出は特定変換
された画像信号に対して行われるので、操作者が指定し
た色に応じた画像信号が正確に検出できず操作者の意図
した色変換ができないという問題があった。 本発明は、上述した問題をおこす処理を防止すること
により、操作者の意図しない画像処理を未然に防ぐ画像
処理装置を提供することを目的とする。 [課題を解決するための手段] 本発明は上述目的を解決するために、装置に依存した
特性の異なる画像信号を発生する複数の画像信号発生装
置から発生する画像信号を処理する画像処理装置であっ
て、 前記複数の画像発生装置それぞれから発生される画像
信号に対応した複数の補正処理が可能な画像信号補正手
段、 前記画像信号補正手段により補正した画像信号に従い
画面単位に画像信号を出力する出力手段、 前記画像信号を発生している画像信号発生装置の切換
に応じて、前記画面内においても前記画像信号補正手段
における補正処理を切り替える制御手段を有する画像処
理装置であって、 前記画像信号補正手段による補正後の画像信号に対
し、色検出の構成を有する色変換処理を非動作とするこ
とを特徴とする。 〔実施例〕 以下図面を参照して本発明を詳細に説明する。 第1図は本発明を適用したカラー画像形成システムの
概略内部構成の一例を示す。本システムは図示のように
上部デジタルカラー画像読み取り装置(以下カラーリー
ダーと称する)1と、下部にデジタルカラー画像プリン
ト装置(以下、カラープリンタと称する)2、およびビ
デオ処理装置3とを有する。このカラーリーダ1は、後
述の色分解手段とCCDの様な光電変換素子とにより原稿
のカラー画像情報をカラー別に読取り、電気的なデジタ
ル画像信号に変換する。また、カラープリンタ2は、そ
のデジタル画像信号に応じてカラー画像をカラー別に再
現し、被記録紙にデジタル的なドツト形態で複数回転写
して記録する電子写真方式のレーザビームカラープリン
タである。ビデオ処理装置3は外部に接続されるビデオ
装置からのアナログビデオ信号をデジタル画像信号に変
換し、上記カラーリーダ1に入力するための装置であ
る。 まず、カラーリーダ1の構成を説明する。999は原
稿、4は原稿を載置するプラテンガラス、5はハロゲン
露光ランプ10により露光走査された原稿からの反射光像
を集光し、等倍型フルカラーセンサ6に画像入力する為
のロツドアレイレンズであり、5,6,7,10が原稿走査ユニ
ツト11として一体となって矢印A1方向に露光走査する。
露光走査しながら1ライン毎に読み取られ、得られた色
分解画像信号は、センサー出力信号増巾回路7により所
定電圧に増巾されたのち信号線501によりビデオ処理ユ
ニツトに入力され信号処理される。501は信号の忠実な
伝送を保障するための同軸ケーブルである。信号502は
等倍型フルカラーセンサ6の駆動パルスを供給する信号
線であり、必要な駆動パルスはビデオ処理ユニツト12内
で全て生成される。8,9は画像信号の白レベル補正、黒
レベル補正のための白色板及び黒色板であり、ハロゲン
露光ランプ10で照射する事によりそれぞれ所定の濃度の
信号レベルを得る事ができ、ビデオ信号の白レベル補
正、黒レベル補正に使われる。 13はマイクロコンピユータを有するコントロールユニ
ツトであり、これはバス508により操作パネル20におけ
る表示、キー入力制御及びビデオ処理ユニツト12の制
御、ポジシヨンセンサS1,S2により原稿走査ユニツト11
の位置を信号線509,510を介して検出、更に信号線503に
より走査体11を移動させる為のステツピングモーター14
をパルス駆動するステツピングモーター駆動回路15、信
号線504を介して露光ランプドライバー21によるハロゲ
ン露光ランプ10のON/OFF制御、光量制御、信号線505を
介してのデジタイザー16及び内部キー、表示部の制御等
カラーリーダ部1の全ての制御を行っている。原稿露光
走査時に前述した露光走査ユニツト11によって読み取ら
れたカラー画像信号は、増巾回路7、信号線501を介し
てビデオ処理ユニツト12に入力される。 次に第2図を用いて上述した原稿走査ユニツト11、ビ
デオ処理ユニツト12の詳細について説明する。 ビデオ処理ユニツト12に入力されたカラー画像信号は
サンプルホールド回路S/H43にて、G(グリーン)、B
(ブルー)、R(レツド)の3色に分離される。分離さ
れたカラー画像信号はアナログカラー信号処理回路44に
て、アナログ処理を行ったのちA/D変換され、デジタル
・カラー画像信号となる。本実施例では原稿走査ユニツ
ト11内のカラー読取りセンサ6が第2図にも示す様に5
領域に分割した千鳥状に構成されているためFiFoメモリ
46を用い、先行走査している2,4チヤンネルと、残る1,
3,5チヤンネルの読み取り位置ずれを補正している。FiF
oメモリ46からの位置ずれの補正済の信号は、黒補正回
路/白補正回路に入力され、前述した白色板8、黒色板
9からの反射光に応じた信号を利用してカラー読取りセ
ンサ6の暗時ムラや、ハロゲン露光ランプ10の光量ム
ラ、センサの感度バラツキが補正される。カラー読み取
りセンサ6の入力光量に比例したカラー画像データは人
間の目の比視感特性に合わせるための対数変換回路86に
より変換されたのちビデオインターフエイス101からの
カラー画像信号と原稿走査ユニツト11からのカラー画像
信号の切換えを行う切換回路100に入力される。 ここで本実施例におけるビデオ処理装置3から、カラ
ーリーダ1内のビデオ処理ユニツチ12へのカラー画像デ
ータのとり込みについて説明する。 かかる取り込みの設定は以下に述べるデジタイザーに
より行われる。第3図はデジタイザー16の外観図であ
る。キー427は後述するはめ込み合成モードを設定する
為のエントリーキーであり、座標検知板420は原稿上の
任意の領域を指定したり、あるいは倍率を設定するため
の座標位置検出板であり、ポイントペン421はその座標
を指定するものである。 座標検知板420には、ビデオ処理装置からの紙等へ記
録材に記録した際における大きさを右上に100%、200
%、400%時の3種表示してある。 ビデオ処理装置3からの画像のはめ込み合成は、第3
図のはめ込み合成キー427を押したのち、ポイントペン4
21によりはめ込む位置を指示する。このはめ込み領域と
は、例えば第4図の斜線部の様な部分をさし、これは副
走査方向A→Bの区間に、毎ラインごとに第4図のタイ
ミングチヤートSYNCの様な信号で他の領域と区別され
る。尚、第4図中Cは原稿全体の大きさを示し、斜線が
付与された部分がデジタイザーで指定される部分であ
る。SYNC信号104は第2図に示したビデオインターフエ
ース101を通り、ビデイ処理装置3に送られる。 このSYNC信号以外にビデオインターフエース101はビ
デオ処理装置3にFREEZE信号102及びVCLK103を出力す
る。これら制御ラインのタイミングチヤートを第5図に
示す。すなわち、FREEZE信号102及びSYNC信号104は操作
部20のスタートボタンを押すことにより発生し、第5図
に示す様にFREEZE信号102は、スタートボタンを押すこ
とにより“1"となり、SYNC信号104はデジタイザ16によ
って指定した領域に相当する範囲で“1"となる。 ただし、コピー枚数が1枚以上でコピー途中に紙づま
りなどのエラーが発生したのち、そのエラーを解除し、
コピーボタンを押した場合は、FREEZE信号102はActive
“1"とはならず、SYNC104及びVCLK103のみがインターフ
エイス101に出力される。本実施例においては第5図104
に示す様なカラープロセスをくり返すことによりフルカ
ラープリントが行われるわけであるが、このプリントの
色を図中に示している。 つぎに以上の様に構成された本実施例の動作について
第11図に示したコントローラ(CPU)のフローチヤート
を用い説明する。 電源が投入されるとコントローラ13は操作パネル20及
びデジタイザー16上へ操作されたキーを読み込む(♯0
1)。操作されたキーが有ればそのキーがコピー開始を
指示するキーか否かを判別し(♯03)、コピー開始を指
示するキーであれば♯05へ、でなければ♯23へ分岐す
る。 ここでは、まずコピー開始キー以外のキーがオンされ
たものとして♯23以下の説明を行う。 ♯23では、はめ込み合成を行うべき領域の指示が第3
図に示したスイツチ427により指示されたか否かを判別
し、指示された際には指示された領域を記憶し(♯2
5)、指示されていない際にはプリント枚数が指定され
たか否かを判別する(♯27)。その判別の結果、プリン
ト枚数の設定がされている場合には設定された枚数をレ
ジスタに書き込み(♯29)、設定がされていない場合に
は他のキー入力に対応した処理を行う(♯31)。 次に♯03でコピー開始が指示されている場合について
説明する。コピーの開始が指示されている際には、まず
エラーフラグが立っているか否かを判別し(♯05)、エ
ラーフラグがなければ第2図において前述したFREEZE信
号102を発生する(♯07)。これに依って第7図で後述
するビデオ処理装置内のメモリ303に画像データが書き
込まれる。次いでエラーフラグをリセツトする(♯0
9)。スキヤナーを駆動するために第1図に示したステ
ツピングモータ駆動回路15に駆動の開始の指示を行う。
これに依りスキヤナーは移動を開始し、それに伴い発生
するHSYNC、VCLKに同期し、第1図に示し各信号処理回
路を動作させそのフルカラーのうちの各色成分が順次第
2図に示した色変換回路50へ出力され、前述の各回路で
処理された後カラープリンタ2へ供給される。カラープ
リンタ2はビデオ処理ユニツト12から順次送られる画像
信号に応じて後述するドラム716を回転させその1回転
毎にITOP信号(画像先端信号)をユニツト12へ戻す。
尚、本実施例ではY,M,C,Bkの4色でフルカラープリント
が行われ、一枚のカラープリントにはドラム716の4回
の回転が必要である。 したがって、♯13でITOP信号が4回来たか否かを判別
し(♯13)、ITOP信号が4回来るまでの間はプリンタ側
でエラーが発生したか否かを判別し(♯14)、エラーが
無い場合には♯13へ戻り、エラーが生じた場合にはエラ
ーフラグを一旦セツトし、スキヤナーの駆動を停止し、
エラーの解除がなされたか否かを判別する(♯21)。♯
13においてITOPが4回来たことが検出された際には一枚
のプリントが終了したものと考えられるので、枚数レジ
スタをデクリメントし(♯17)、その内容が“0"になっ
たか否かを判別し、“0"となった際にはへ戻り、“0"
でない場合には♯11へ戻り、再びコピー動作を継続す
る。 以上説明したフローチヤートに示した実施例において
は複数枚のコピー動作が行われている途中でカラープリ
ンタで紙づまりその他の原因によってエラーが生じた場
合(♯14)、エラーが解除してからフローはに戻るた
めコピー開始キーがオンされない限り、次のコピー動作
は行われない。 また、♯19で一旦エラーフラグをセツトしているの
で、前述のに戻った状態でコピー開始キーをオンして
も♯05から♯11へフローが分岐するので♯07におけるフ
リーズ信号が発生せず、メモリ303へ新たな画像信号が
書き込まれることを防止することが出来る。 したがって、エラーが生じる前にメモリ303へフリー
ズされた画像データが保持されており、該メモリ303に
誤って他のデータが書き込まれることを防止することが
出来る。 VCLK103はビデオ処理ユニツト12内の画像データ同期
信号であり、この信号はビデオ処理装置3に送られてい
る。ビデオ処理装置3はVCLK103に同期したカラー画像
信号105,106,107と、この信号の有効領域を示すEN信号1
08とをビデオインターフエイス101に送る。このEN信号1
08が0のとき切換回路108は対数変換回路86からのカラ
ー画像信号を選択して、後段の回路へ出力し、1の場
合、ビデオインターフエイスに101からのカラー画像信
号を選択して後段の回路へ出力する。 かかる切換回路100の切り換えの制御信号として前述
のSYNC104を用いることも考えられるが、本実施例にお
いてはかかるSYNC104を用いずビデオ処理装置3からのE
N信号を用いて切換回路100を切換える様にしているので
以下の効果を奏する。 即ち前述のSYNC信号を用いて切換回路100の切り換え
を行った場合、ビデオ処理装置3の応答が遅いときには
ビデオインターフエイス101からのカラー画像信号105,1
06,107が出力される前に切換回路100の切り換えが行わ
れてしまい、このため切換回路100の切り換え時点にお
いて、換言すると画像の切り換え合成の端部に黒いすじ
が生じてしまうが、本実施例に依ればビデオインターフ
エイス101からのEN信号で切換回路100を切り換える様に
しているので、かかる黒いすじの発生を防止することが
出来る。 尚、ビデオ処理装置3において複数の画素を用いてエ
ツジ強調等の画像処理を行っている場合にはビデオ処理
装置3の応答が特に遅くなることになる。 次に、切換回路108の詳細回路図を第10図に示す。こ
の回路図で113〜118は74LS157(型名)のようなデータ
セレクターであり、2入力データを持ち、セレクト端子
Sの信号112に応じて2入力データのいずれかを選択す
る。信号112が0のとき、セレクタ出力OUT Y570、M57
1、C572のラインにはY0 120,M0 121,C0 122が選択さ
れ、信号112が1のときY′105,M′106,C′107が選択さ
れる。またこの選択信号112は前述のEN信号108の他にコ
ントローラ13からの信号110,111によって制御される。 信号110,111の設定によって、切換回路100はビデオ画
像信号専用、反射原稿(複写用原稿)画像専用、はめ込
み合成用の3つの機能を有する。この機能を下表に示
す。 即ち信号110,111を0とすれば、デジタイザ16で指定
された領域により反射原稿がトリミングされており、EN
信号に応じて色補正、マスキング、ガンマ変換等を画像
すべき画像の性質に応じて良好に行える様に制御する。
また、このEN信号108は後述する色補正、マスキング回
路48、およびガンマ変換回路52にも接続されている。 次に第2図に戻って説明を続ける。切換回路110から
の信号は黒抽出UCR回路47に入力され、黒成分信号を作
るとともに、色信号570,571,572から黒成分信号が減算
される。色補正・マスキング回路48はカラー読取りセン
サ6(第1図示)の色分解フイルター及びビデオ処理装
置3のカラー画像信号の色補正を行う。 ここで、色補正・マスキング回路48における動作につ
いて説明する。 各色成分画像データYi,Mi,Ciに対し、なる各色の一次式を算出し色補正を行うマスキング補正
はよく知られている。 本実施例における色補正・マスキング回路48はこの係
数値を入力画像に対して可変とするため、その係数値を
データバスを介してCPUにより設定可能としている。 本実施例では第1のマトリクス係数M1,第2のマトリ
クス係数M2のいずれかの係数をコントローラ13に接続さ
れたバスより設定可能とする。 M1の係数が原稿走査ユニツト11中の色分解フイルタの補
正用、M2の係数がビデオ処理装置3の補正用に割り当て
られている。 この2つの係数M1,M2の切換えは、ビデオインターフ
エイス101からの信号であるEN信号108によってセレクト
される。すなわち、原稿走査ユニツト11からのカラー画
像信号の場合はM1の係数を、ビデオ処理装置3からの信
号の場合はM2の係数が選択され、色補正が行われる。色
補正・マスキング回路48の出力は色変換回路50に入力さ
れるが、本実施例においてはこの色変換回路50の機能を
スルーとしている。 52は本システムにおける出力画像のカラーバランス、
色の濃淡を制御するためのガンマ変換回路であり、基本
的には、LUT(ルツクアツプテーブル)によるデータ変
換であって、操作部からの入力指定に対応づけてLUTの
データが書き換えられる。また本実施例のRAM52には、
イエロー、マゼンタ、シアン、ブラツク、MONOと5通
り、少なくとも2種類(第6図(b)AとB)有してお
り、領域AはAなるガンマ特性、領域BはBなるガンマ
特性を持たせて、1枚のプリントとして得る事ができる
様な構成である。 この領域A,Bの切換えは、ビデオインターフエイス101
からのEN信号108により行われる。 また、本ガンマ変換用RAM52は、各色ごとに個別に特
性を切りかえる様になっており、走査パネル上の液晶タ
ツチパネルキーからの操作と関連づけてコントローラ13
から書き換えられる。 変倍制御回路53と5ラインバツフア54により、ガンマ
変換回路52の出力信号を変倍し、さらにフイルター回路
55にてエツジ強調、及びズムージング(平滑化)の処理
が行われる。フイルター回路55の出力はプリンターイン
ターフエイス回路56を通りカラープリンタ2に入力され
る。 以上、本システムにおいては、デジタイザー16によっ
て領域指定された位置にビデオ処理装置3からのカラー
画像情報をはめ込むとともに、原稿走査ユニツト11と、
ビデオ処理装置3の各々最適な色補正およびガンマ補正
を行う。 次に、第7図を用いてビデオ処理装置3の構成につい
て説明する。 第7図において300はコンポジツト信号例えばNTSC信
号として入力される映像信号をR,G,B信号に変換するNTS
Cデコーダ、301はRGB入力aあるいはNTSCデコーダ300か
らのR,G,B信号のいずれかを選択する切換回路、302は切
換回路301により選択された信号を夫々R,G,B別個にA/D
変換するA/D変換器、303はA/D変換器302によりA/D変換
された信号が書き込まれるメモリであり、少なくともRG
Bの夫々について1フレーム分の容量を有している。304
はメモリ303から読み出した信号に対してエツジ強調あ
るいはスムージングをかけるデジタルフイルタ、305は
フイルタ304によりフイルタリングされた信号を用いて
画像の拡大を行う拡大補間回路、306は補間回路305によ
り補間されたRGB信号をその補色に対応するY,M,C信号に
変換する補色変換テーブルである。 308はメモリ303の読み出し、書き込み、リフレツシユ
動作及びそのアドレスを制御するメモリ制御回路であ
る。制御回路308はインターフエイス307を介して入力す
るFREEZE信号に応じてメモリ303を書き込み状態とす
る。 尚、該制御回路308にはTV側のV同期信号VDTV363、SY
NC回路321から発生したフイールド判別信号FLDTV364、
切換回路309の出力SYNC検出回路310の出力、拡大率選択
スイツチ322の出力が入力している。また制御回路308は
前述のSYNC信号によってトリガされ発生する信号であっ
て、メモリ303の有効領域を示す領域信号366を発生す
る。切換回路309にはTV側のクロツクC/TTV361、H同期
信号HDTV362、インターフエイス側のVCLK103、前述した
SYNC104が入力しており、SYNC検出回路310によりSYNCの
有ることが検出された際にはVCLK103、SYNC104を選択
し、SYNCの無いことが検出された際にはCKTV、HDTVを選
択する。 311は領域信号366とSYNC104との論理演算を行うため
のゲート、312はフイルタ304、拡大補間回路305におけ
るデータのラツチによる遅延を補償するための遅延回
路、313〜315は前述のフイルター304で行われるフイル
タリングによる時間遅れを補償するための遅延回路であ
り、313は5H分の遅延時間を有し、314は7画素分の遅延
時間を有している。315はアンドゲートである。316〜31
8は前述の拡大補間回路305で行われる拡大補間動作によ
る時間遅れを補償するための遅延回路であり、316は1H
分の遅延時間を有し、317は1画素分の遅延時間を有し
ている。318は前述の補色変換テーブル306におけるデー
タのラツチによる遅延を補償するための遅延回路であ
る。 尚、前述の312,313,314,316,317の各遅延回路は前述
のDVCK367、DVHS368により駆動されている。選択スイツ
チ322により拡大率が変われば、それに伴い、DVCK、DVH
Sの周期も変化するため前述の各遅延回路の遅延時間も
変化することになる。 320は前述のSYNC104、遅延回路318の出力EN1との論理
積を出力するアンドゲートである。 次に以上の様に構成された実施例の動作について説明
する。ビデオ処理装置3はビデオ処理ユニツト2より送
られたFREEZE102の信号により、入力されたRGB信号a又
はNTSC信号bからNTSCデコーダ300によりデコードして
得たRGB信号355〜357のいずれかが切換回路301により選
択されたSYNC回路321により得られたCKTV信号361・タイ
ミングによりA/D変換器302によってデイジタル化され、
RGBメモリ303に書込まれる本実施例ではメモリの画素数
は640×480画素としている。RGBメモリ303の読出し、書
込み及びリフレツシユ動作の各タイミングの制御はメモ
リ制御回路308が行う。ビデオ処理ユニツト12からSYNC
信号104が入力されない時にはSYNC検出回路310はSYNC無
しと判断し、同期切換回路309はTV側の同期信号即ちCKT
V361及びHDTV362を選択する。ビデオ処理ユニツト12よ
りSYNC信号104が入力されると同期切換回路309はVCLK10
3及びSYNC104を選択し、RGBメモリ303はインターフエイ
スを介して入力するVCLK103、SYNC104のタイミングで読
み出される。 反射原稿999にはめ込み合成を行うビデオ画像の拡大
率は100%,200%,400%の3種類固定であり、拡大率選
択スイツチ322によって選択される。この信号はメモリ
制御回路308に入り、RGBメモリ303の読み出しを制御す
る。200%の場合には同じラインの画素を2回読み出
し、400%の場合には同じラインの画素を4回読み出

ライン方向の遅延回路313,315及びゲート315,318により
各回路303,304,305,306における遅延時間と同じだけの
遅延を行い、C107,M106,Y105各信号が有効画像データを
出力している期間に合わせてEN信号108は有効信号を出
力する。 本実施例のにおいでは、ビデオ画像のメツシユ比(1

SYNC回路321からのFLD信号に応じてJK−FF368をイネー
ブルにするか否かを切り換える。401はJK−FF368の出力
