【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、FRP材料と加硫ゴムとを接着剤により相互
に接合する方法に関する。

従来の技術とその課題 金属材料と加硫ゴムとを接着剤により接合する方法と
しては、例えば特公昭59−19018号公報に示されている
ように接着剤が塗布された金属材料に加硫ゴムを圧着さ
せた上で、金属材料を160〜250℃で且つ0.5〜3.0秒の温
度および時間範囲内での選択された組み合わせによって
得られる加熱条件下で加熱することによって発熱させて
接着する技術が知られている。

属材料に代わってFRP製の構造体が用いられつつある。

に、機械的強度の面では金属からFRP材料への代替が十
分に可能であるにもかかわらず、上記の接合部分の強度
の信頼性欠如のためにFRPへの代替化を困難なものにし
ている。この現象は例えば実開昭57−39825号公報に示
されているように車両用プロペラシャフトのFRP製チュ
ーブとその両端の金属製のフランクジョークとをゴム製
の緩衝材を介して結合する場合に特に著しい。

で、その目的とするところは、FRP材料と加硫ゴムとの
接着にあたり、FRP材料および加硫ゴムの機能劣化を招
くことなく、接着強度およびその信頼性を大幅に向上さ
せることができる接合方法を提供することにある。

課題を解決するための手段 本発明は、FRP材料と加硫ゴムとを接着剤により相互
に接合するにあたり、FRP材料と加硫ゴムとの間に誘電
材料、導電性材料、強磁性体材料のうちの少なくともい
ずれか一つを接着剤とともに挾んでFRP材料と加硫ゴム
とを圧着させ、この圧着部を高周波加熱法により発熱さ
せて接合するものである。

FRP材料としてはエポキシ系のGFRPやCFRPのほか、ア
ラミド繊維を強化繊維にもつものも使用できる。加硫ゴ
ムとしては天然ゴム(NR)のほか、SBR、BR、EPDM、CR

ノール系接着剤、イソシアネート系接着剤等を用いるも
のとし、この接着剤のなかに誘電材料、導電性材料、強
磁性体材料のうちの少なくともいずれか一つを予め混入
させるか、あるいは少なくともいずれか一つの材料を例
えば導電性塗料のように所定のバインダと混合した上で
接着剤層と重ね合わせるように塗布する。

接着剤層と重ね合わせるように塗布する。
誘電材料の具体的なものとしてはチタン酸バリウムの
粉末のほか、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリ塩化ビニル等
の高分子材料があげられ、また導電性材料としては例え
ばカーボンブラック、アルミニウム粉末、銅粉、導電性
塗料のほか、アルミニウム、クロム、ニッケル、ステン
レスなどの金属の箔あるいはテープ状のものをそのまま
用いてもよく、さらにアルミニウム、亜鉛等を接合面に
予め蒸着あるいは溶射によって付着させてもよい。強磁
性体材料としては例えば鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、フェ
ライトなどの粉末のほか、それらの箔あるいはテープ状
のものを用いることもできる。

性体材料としては例えば鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、フェ
ライトなどの粉末のほか、それらの箔あるいはテープ状
のものを用いることもできる。
作用 本発明によると、FRP材料または加硫ゴムの接合面
に、誘電材料、導電性材料、強磁性体材料のうちの少な
くいずれか一つを例えば接着剤とともに塗布し、FRP材
料と加硫ゴムとを圧着させた上で高周波加熱法または通
電によって加熱する。その結果、誘電材料を含む場合に
は誘電加熱により、強磁性体材料を含む場合には誘導加
熱により、また導電性材料を含む場合には通電によりそ
れぞれ誘電材料、強磁性体材料または導電性材料が発熱
体として発熱することから、それにより接着剤が接着可
能温度まで加熱されてFRP材料と加硫ゴムとが強固に接
着される。

この時、上記の誘電材料、導電性材料または強磁性体
材料が発熱体として接合部の内部から発熱するので温度
上昇が速く、しかも加熱されるのは接着剤のほかFRP材
料と加硫ゴムの各接合面のごく一部だけであるので、FR
P材料や加硫ゴムの機能劣化を招くことがない。

実施例 第1図は本発明の第1の実施例を示す図で、1はエポ
キシ系のFRP材料、2は接着剤層、3は加硫ゴム、は高
周波加熱装置のコイルである。FRP材料1と加硫ゴム3
とを接着剤2により接合するにあたり、接着剤2の中に
所定の配合割合で鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、フェライト
に代表されるような強磁性体材料5の粉末を予め配合し
ておき、この強磁性体材料5を含む接着剤2をFRP材料
1の接合面1aに塗布する。

ておき、この強磁性体材料5を含む接着剤2をFRP材料
1の接合面1aに塗布する。
そして、接着剤2に対し加硫ゴム3を圧着させた上
で、高周波加熱装置のコイル4により例えば10MHz以下
の条件で加熱する。これにより、強磁性体材料5を含む
接着剤2が誘導加熱により内部から発熱し、接着剤2が
接着可能温度で速やかに上昇してFRP材料1と加硫ゴム
3とが接着される。

この時、接着剤2の発熱に伴って加熱されるのはFRP
材料1および加硫ゴム3のうち双方の接合面1a,3aに近
いごく一部だけであるので、FRP材料1および加硫ゴム
3が全体的に加熱されることはなく、FRP材料1および
加硫ゴム3の劣化を招くことはない。

また、上記の強磁性体材料5の粉末に代えてチタン酸

め接着剤2に混合させるのに代えて、強磁性体材料の箔
またはテープ状のものを接着剤と併用することも可能で
ある。この場合には第2図に示すように、FRP材料1の
上に接着剤2を介して箔またはテープ状の強磁性体材料
6を貼着し、さらにその強磁性体材料6の上に接着剤2
を介して加硫ゴム3を圧着させた上で高周波加熱装置に
より加熱する。ただし、接着強度の一層の向上を図るた
めに強磁性体材料6に予め多数の穴を形成しておくのが
望ましい。

第3図の実施例は接着剤と導電性材料とを併用した場
合の例を示し、FRP材料1の上に導電性塗料7を塗布す
るとともに、その上に接着剤2を塗り重ねた上で加硫ゴ
ム3を圧着させる。そして、導電性塗料7に対し電極8
を介して電源9から通電して導電性塗料7を発熱させ
る。この場合にもFRP材料1と加硫ゴム3との接合部の
内部から加熱されることになるので先の実施例と同様の
作用効果が得られる。

るとともに、その上に接着剤2を塗り重ねた上で加硫ゴ
ム3を圧着させる。そして、導電性塗料7に対し電極8
を介して電源9から通電して導電性塗料7を発熱させ
る。この場合にもFRP材料1と加硫ゴム3との接合部の
内部から加熱されることになるので先の実施例と同様の
作用効果が得られる。
また、この実施例の導電性塗料7に代えて、アルミニ
ウム、クロム、ニッケル、ステンレスなどの導電性材料
の箔あるいはテープ状のものを第2図と同様の手法で用
いてもよい。

発明の効果 以上のように本発明によれば、FRP材料と加硫ゴムと
の間に誘電材料、導電性材料、強磁性体材料のうちの少
なくともいずれか一つを接着剤とともに挾んでFRP材料
と加硫ゴムとを圧着させ、この圧着部を高周波加熱また
は通電により発熱させて接合するようにしたことによ
り、加熱されるのは接着剤のほかFRP材料と加硫ゴムの
各接合面のごく一部だけであるので、FRP全体を加熱す
る場合と比べてFRP材料の劣化を防止でき、FRP材料と加
硫ゴムとの接着強度の向上およびその信頼性の向上を図
ることができる。

- 【請求項1】FRP材料と加硫ゴムとを接着剤により相互
