2. Description of the Related Art As a method for cutting a glass substrate for a disk from a glass plate, there is known a method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2-92937. The outline of this method is first shown in FIG.
As shown in (a), a cutting line 101 is formed on a glass plate 100 by a cutter so as to draw a closed curve.
01 is heated to deform the glass plate 100,
By this deformation, the cutting line 101 is advanced to the opposite surface of the glass plate, and then the inner portion 102 surrounded by the closed curve is cooled and shrunk by dry ice or the like, the inner portion is cut out, and the inner portion 102 is cut out in a similar manner. The doughnut-shaped glass substrate 103 is obtained by forming a hole in the hole.

In the above-mentioned conventional cutting method, the cutting line formed by the cutter is in a direction perpendicular to the glass plate. For this reason, it is necessary to provide a temperature difference between the inner part and the outer part of the closed curve in order to extract the inner part surrounded by the closed curve even when the incisors reach the opposing surface. A cooling step and a special jig are indispensable.

In the present invention, first, as shown in FIG.
A cut line 3 is formed on one side of a square glass plate 1 by a diamond disc saw 2 as a cutter.
As shown in FIG. 2, the diamond disc saw 2 has blades 5 and 6 formed on the left and right of the ridge line 4, and the angles θ 1 and θ 2 of the blades 5 and 6 are different. The ridge line 4 of the diamond disc saw 2 having the different angle of the blade portion is set to the glass plate 1.
The diamond disc saw 2 is moved along a surface of the glass plate 1 so as to draw a circle in a state perpendicular to the surface of the glass plate 1, or the glass plate 1 is rotated while the position of the diamond disc saw 2 is fixed. An inclined cutting line 3 is formed on the surface of the plate 1 to draw a circle.

FIG. 3 shows the difference (θ) between the angles θ 1 and θ 2 of the blade portions 5 and 6.
2 is a graph showing the relationship between 2− θ 1 ) and the inclination angle (α) of the incision line 3. From this graph, the incision line 3 is inclined toward a small angle (θ 1 ), and the inclination angle (α) is It can be seen that it is substantially proportional to the angle difference (θ 2 −θ 1 ) between the left and right blades 5, 6.

Further, in order to form an inclined cutting line, a diamond disc saw 2 having the same angle of the blade portions 5 and 6 can be used. In this case, as shown in FIG. 4, the cutting line 3 is formed in a state where the ridge line 4 of the diamond disk saw 2 is inclined with respect to the surface of the glass plate 1.

By heating the surface on which the notch 3 is formed as described above, a difference in thermal expansion occurs in the thickness direction of the glass plate 1, and the glass plate 1 is deformed so as to have a convex shape in the figure. Then, due to this deformation, the cutting line 3 instantaneously reaches the side opposite to the heated surface of the glass plate 1. In the embodiment, the outer side 1a of the area surrounded by the cut line 3 is heated so that the cut line 3 can be reliably advanced in the thickness direction of the glass plate. The entire surface may be heated.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6, the inner side 1b of the area surrounded by the cut line 3 is pushed by a push rod 9 to cut out a circle, and then the center of the circularly cut glass plate is cut in the same manner. By forming the holes, a donut-shaped glass substrate can be obtained.

According to the present invention as described above,
Left and right edge angles with respect to the cutter ridge line on one side of the glass plate
Use a different cutter,
Move it upright with respect to the plane of the board
Or the same angle of the left and right edges
Using a cutter, align the ridge line of this cutter with the glass plate surface.
The glass plate is moved relatively to the glass plate by using a cutter to form a cut line inclined with respect to the thickness direction of the glass plate so as to draw a closed curve, and then heating the surface with the cut line. Is deformed to advance the inclined cutting streaks in the thickness direction of the glass plate to reach the opposing surface, so that in this state, a draft is formed in a portion surrounded by a closed curve, and therefore, a conventional draft is formed. A portion surrounded by a closed curve can be separated without performing such cooling.

In particular, the portion to be heated is a surface provided with a cut line and a portion outside a closed curve,

Further, a cutter having a different blade angle on the left and right with respect to the cutter ridge is used, and the cutter is moved relatively in a state where the ridge is vertically set with respect to the surface of the glass plate, or the cutter is moved right and left with respect to the cutter ridge. By using a cutter having the same blade angle and by relatively moving the cutter with its ridge line inclined with respect to the glass plate surface, an inclined cutting line can be easily formed.
