Assuming that the component (5) is being taken out, the suction position of the component (5) with respect to the suction nozzle (14) is recognized by the recognition device (16), and the position in the Y direction, that is, the tape feed direction at the suction station. An average value of three shifts is calculated, and the suction correction motor (176) is rotated after the bit (66) is fitted into the fitted groove (52) by the lowering of the lifting member (68) as described above. Then, the suction nozzle is rotated clockwise in FIG. 2 by an angle obtained by adding an angle amount necessary for correcting the displacement in the Y direction to 90 degrees with the rotating body (40) being a “regular position”. The position of (14) is adjusted to the position of the component (5) supplied by the component supply device (8).

Next, when the mounting head (15) reaches the rotation return station without the component (5) sucked by the suction nozzle (14) hitting the tape (130) or the like,
Since the rotation angle of the rotating body (40) for correction in the Y direction performed by the suction correction station is stored in the RAM (172), the rotation return motor (177) is previously stored.
Is rotated by the rotation angle, and the direction of the bit (66) is adjusted to the position of the closest fitting groove (52).
After the bit (66) is fitted in the fitted groove (52) by the lowering of 8), the motor (177) rotates and the suction nozzle (1) is rotated.
The position 4) is returned from the position at the nozzle height selection station to the "regular position" which is a position rotated 90 degrees clockwise with respect to the mounting head (15) in FIG.

Next, when the head (15) reaches the recognition station, the recognition of the component (5) by the recognition device (16) is performed in the same manner as described above.
Has been returned to the "regular position", the suction nozzle (14) is located at the center of the screen of the recognition device (16). Of course, due to the correction at the suction station, the suction nozzle (14) sucks substantially the center of the component (5), so that the image of the component (5) is captured almost at the center of the screen of the recognition device, and the large component ( Even in the case of 5), it does not protrude from the field of view of the camera, that is, from the imaging screen, and the time required for the position recognition of the component (5) can be shortened.

In the mounting station, the suction nozzle (1
Since the difference between the distance between the lower surface of the component (5) sucked in 4) and the substrate, that is, the vertical stroke of the mounting head (15) does not differ depending on the type of the component as in the suction station,
The index speed does not decrease so much even when it is adjusted to the longest stroke. In this embodiment, even if the index speed is "H" in FIG. 31 or the component (5) has the longest stroke at the mounting station. The lowering speed of the mounting head (15) that can be mounted on the substrate (6) without impact is set. If the position of the suction nozzle (14) is also at the "middle height position" in the case of the component (5) stored in the paper tape of FIG. 22, the descending stroke is smaller than that at the "lowest position". When the index speed is "H", the descent speed is 2 times.
About twice as large, and the impact when mounting the parts is too large.
May be damaged, but since it is at the "lowest position", the descent stroke can be shortened even when mounting components,
It is possible to realize high index speed with less impact.

In this embodiment, the fitting groove (52) on the upper part of the rotating body (40) is provided in three directions.
Even if the bit (66) is provided on the strip, the bit (66) may be rotatable at a smaller angle to rotate so as to fit into the groove than when provided in one direction. However, the suction nozzle (14) is attached to the mounting head (15).
Therefore, if the nozzles and grooves are provided at equal intervals in three directions, the positional relationship between the nozzles and the grooves is the same for all the nozzles, and the rotation can be easily controlled. Therefore, four or more directions may be provided, but it is more preferable that the number of directions is an integral multiple of three.

In this embodiment, the rotation of the stroke motor (115) for making the lubricating oil uniform is performed when the component mounting operation is not performed. After the rotation of the motor (115), the CPU (170) detects that the automatic operation of component mounting has elapsed for the time set in the RAM (172) or the like, and
The operation of component mounting according to the C data may be interrupted to rotate the stroke motor (115) to make the lubricating oil uniform. Alternatively, the moving distance of the nut (117) can be set in the RAM (172), and the accumulated moving distance of the nut (117) is stored in the RAM (17).
2) The stroke motor (115) may be rotated to make the lubricating oil uniform when the moving distance exceeds a set moving distance which is sequentially stored in another area. Or,
A stroke motor (1) is used to set both time and distance, and to make the lubrication oil uniform when either condition is satisfied.
The rotation of 15) may be performed.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the lower end position of the suction nozzle with respect to the mounting head is changed while the mounting head moves from the mounting stop position to the suction stop position due to the intermittent rotation of the rotating body, the guide member is provided. If the mounting head cannot be lowered until after the mounting head has moved onto the head support member, the height at which the suction nozzle starts to lower at the suction stop position can be adjusted to the component type, and the thickness can be reduced. Even a thin component can be suctioned at a short descending distance of the mounting head, and the time required for component suction can be shortened.
