Description

This invention values the independence of people who have difficulty standing or walking suddenly on their own (hereinafter referred to as people with walking difficulties), and provides a method that allows them to urinate and excrete in a sitting position at their bedside by utilizing a box-perforated mattress at night.

With the increasing trend toward more sociable and nuclear families, difficulties in dealing with nocturia and other conditions have emerged in both institutional and home care. The declining number of caregivers has also made it difficult to provide assistance with frequent nocturia, especially at night, and the use of diapers can lead to skin erosions and worsening bedsores, placing an increasing burden on caregivers. The present invention aims to reduce the burden on caregivers (hereinafter referred to as "caregivers") while prioritizing the prevention of falls for people with mobility issues who are unable to go to the toilet on their own, the preservation of their self-esteem, and the protection of their privacy.

Means to solve the problem

In addition to encouraging sitting-position urination while respecting independence, rehabilitation such as self-exercises for the lower limbs and physical therapy improves muscle strength and walking function, gradually changing the feeling that it may be impossible to do to perhaps being able to do it, and the patient gains confidence in doing it on their own and is able to do it smoothly.

Proper nutrition and proper nursing care improves immunity and natural healing powers, which help maintain and restore physical strength and function, and fosters independence in those with walking difficulties.

To avoid a bedridden, diaper-based life and to prevent loss of confidence, respiratory function is improved through respiratory therapy and respiratory muscle training while the patient is assisted to sit at the bedside.

To prevent bedsores caused by lying down, the pressure on one side can be dispersed by changing the patient's position and by changing the bedside sitting position appropriately.

Encouraging independent toileting behavior and keeping caregivers rested and refreshed contributes to maintaining the health of both the caregiver and the caregiver.

By maintaining the independence and motivation of people with walking difficulties, caregivers have more time to communicate with them and alleviate their psychological anxiety.

When caregivers understand the feelings and wishes of people with walking difficulties and have the time to work to reduce their psychological stress and feelings of loneliness, they are more likely to explain the need for assistance, eliminate feelings of humiliation, and provide appropriate and effective assistance.

By keeping an eye on the person's surroundings, ensuring a comfortable bed, appropriate room temperature, a clean environment, and a pleasant living space, and taking precautions to minimize the risk of falls and injuries, it is possible to select the appropriate supports and assistive devices, such as handrails, as needed.

If a person with walking difficulties is receiving specific medical treatment or prescription medication, continuing to take the appropriate medication or treatment in cooperation with a doctor can help improve their condition.

We provide a box-perforated mattress, determined to be necessary for people with walking difficulties. Many people are reluctant to rely on others for toilet assistance, especially when it comes to excretion. This invention molds the mattress as shown in Figure 1, allowing the user to use a box toilet seat when necessary, such as at night, or remove the box (i.e., the drawer) and place disposable urine pads or disposable diapers made of high-polymer absorbent material in the recesses. This allows the user to excrete on their own without the help of others, prevents skin contamination, allows for easy post-cleanup, and helps prevent falls.

Effect of the invention

This is a box-perforated mattress that allows people with walking difficulties to sit on the bedside by themselves, stabilize their feet on the floor, and relieve themselves in that position. It is physiologically difficult for people to relieve themselves while lying down, but sitting on the bedside makes it easier, as it is the same position as using a Western-style toilet. Wearing diapers damages self-esteem and discourages ambition. This method allows people to relieve themselves without help from others, and does not damage self-esteem.

Regarding the embodiment.
The drilled box should be approximately 40 cm deep, 30 cm wide, and 10 cm high with a lid and made of a sturdy material such as resin, stainless steel, or polyester. It can be inserted from the side of the mattress and pulled out for easy cleaning.

In FIG. 1, the bed is installed in different locations depending on the room specifications, so the perforated boxes are provided at two locations on the left and right sides of the mattress, and either one can be used.

The mattress will have three sheets: top, middle and bottom. The middle sheet gets soiled frequently, making it easy to change.
