Description
The present invention relates to a wall frame connection structure, and more specifically, to a technology that allows wall frames that have been preassembled in a factory or the like to be easily connected.
The 2x4 construction method (wooden frame wall construction method) involves joining uniformly sized square timber and plywood to form walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs in place of pillars and beams. This is a simple construction method that does not require advanced skills and can be carried out without the specialized techniques used in traditional wooden buildings.
High-insulation and high-airtight construction work, which is required in response to the raising of energy-saving standards, is important work to provide insulation and airtightness to roofs, walls, and floor frames, and requires specialized skills. It is necessary to secure workers with the correct knowledge and skills, which has been a constraint on construction.
One method to deal with this is to fill the inside of the wall frame with insulation material and perform airtight construction in advance at a factory, etc. By using this method, there is no need to secure workers to perform the airtight and insulation work. However, since the insulation material is filled inside the wall frame, it becomes impossible to fix the wall frame to the floor, etc. from the inside with nails, etc.
One possible new fixing method would be to fix the floor and wall framework from the outside using metal fittings, but this would increase the amount of work required and could potentially change part of the exterior appearance, so it was not considered the optimal method.
Therefore, there was a need for a construction method that would allow wall frames to be assembled in advance in a factory, including being filled with airtight and insulating materials, to be easily installed without the need for specialized skills, and that would also maintain the dignity of the exterior appearance.
Various techniques have been proposed to address these problems. For example, a technique for constructing factory-made wall frames (see Patent Document 1) has been proposed and is a publicly known technique. More specifically, when constructing factory-made wall frames, a connecting member attached to the lower end of the exterior side of the wall panel and a connected member attached to the foundation are fixed, and a finishing cover is attached to hide the connecting member.
However, this prior art structure requires additional work because metal fittings are used, and the finishing cover creates differences from other construction areas, which can change the appearance, so the above problems are not solved.
In view of the above problems, the present invention aims to provide a wall frame connection structure that can be installed without specialized skills on wall frames that have insulation and airtight sheets preassembled in a factory.

Furthermore, the present invention employs a means in which the 2x4 lumber is 2x4 lumber or 2x6 lumber.
Furthermore, the present invention employs a means in which the reinforcement material bears part of the load of the wall frame.
Furthermore, the present invention employs a means for positioning the floor joist side panels at the center of the thickness of the wall frame.
The present invention also relates to a method of forming a wall by fitting a wall frame made of two-by-four lumber in advance at another location, which comprises a wall frame, floor joists, and end joists, the wall frame having insulation and an airtight sheet attached in advance, the end joists being made of wall frame side panels and floor joist side panels, the end faces of the floor joist side panels being in contact with the ends of the wide faces of the wall frame side, the floor joist side panels being fixed with nails or screws from the wide faces of the wall frame side panels, the wide faces of the wall frame side panels being in positions corresponding to the ends of the wall frame, the wide faces of the floor joist side panels being in positions corresponding to the ends of the floor joists, the wall frame and the wall frame side panels being fixed with nails or screws at an angle from the outside side on the wall frame side panels, a supplementary material being inserted so that the floor joist side panels are hidden, and an exterior panel is provided to cover at least the supplementary material.
The wall frame connection structure of the present invention allows wall frames that have been prefabricated in a factory to be installed without specialized skills, and even carpenters with only knowledge of conventional construction methods can install wall frames that are insulated and airtight, increasing the number of craftsmen capable of installation and improving workability.

First, for comparison with the present invention, a conventional structure in the two-by-four method will be described with reference to FIG.
The relationship between the floor surface and the wall frame connected to it is shown. Structural plywood 41 is fixed onto the floor joists 40 and the end joists with nails, etc. Next, a wall framework (without insulation material) consisting of the lower end 13, upper end 12, vertical frame 11, and exterior panel 14 is fixed to the end joists with nails K via the structural plywood 41.
After the wall frame (without insulation) is fixed, the inside of the wall frame is filled with insulation 15 and fixed with an airtight sheet 16, and further, the inner wall is fixed.
The work of filling with insulation requires specialized skills. Therefore, even though the 2x4 construction method itself does not require advanced skills, specialized knowledge and experience are required to fill with insulation, which places limitations on construction.
The present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
As 2x4 lumber, 2x4 lumber or 2x6 lumber is mainly used.
The wall frame connection structure 1 is a structure for connecting wall frames 10 assembled in advance with two-by-four lumber at another location such as a factory in a wooden building. The wall frame connection structure 1 is composed of the wall frames 10, floor joists 40, inverted L-shaped end joists 20, and supplementary materials 30.
The wall framework 10 is a part that constitutes the wall portion. It is assembled in advance at another location, such as a factory. The wall framework 10 is composed of a vertical frame 11, an upper end portion 12 (hereinafter also referred to as the upper frame), a lower end portion 13 (hereinafter also referred to as the lower frame), an exterior panel 14, a heat insulating material 15, and an airtight sheet 16.
A frame is formed by the vertical frame 11, the upper end 12, and the lower end 13, and a wall structure is formed by fixing exterior panels 14 to the frame. The inside of the wall framework between the frames is filled with insulation material 15. The surface facing the room is covered with an airtight sheet 16, and the inside of the wall framework is sealed with the insulation material 15 filled in.
By doing this up front, the specialized skills required to fill the wall framing with insulation on-site are eliminated.
However, with this configuration, the inside of the wall frame is filled with the heat insulating material 15 and covered with the airtight sheet 16, so it becomes impossible to drive the nails as shown in Fig. 8. For this reason, the structure of this embodiment is necessary.
In this embodiment, a case will be described in which the wall framework 10 is used as a wall framework for the first floor, and the floor joists 40 are used as floor joists for the first floor.
The floor joists 40 are the base of the structure. A base 50 is placed on a foundation 51, and the floor joists 40 are placed so as to span between the bases 50. A roll stopper 42 is placed near the base 50 as a restricting plate to prevent the floor joists 40 from tilting. A heat insulating material 43 is placed on a part of the floor joists 40 and is held in place by metal fittings or the like.
An inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is arranged at the end of the floor joist 40.
The inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is a key part of the present invention. It is a part that supports and fixes the wall frame 10. When viewed from the end, it is inverted L-shaped. The inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is composed of a wall frame side panel 21 and a floor joist side panel 22, and the end face of the floor joist side panel 22 abuts against the end of the wide surface on the wall frame side.
The floor joist side panels 22 are fixed with nails or screws from the upper broad surface side of the wall frame side panels 21. The broad surface of the wall frame side panels 21 is located at a position corresponding to the lower end portion 13 of the wall frame 10 through the structural plywood 41.
The broad surface of the floor joist side panel 22 is located at a position corresponding to and in contact with the end of the floor joist 40 .
Below the wall frame side board 21, on the outdoor side, a horizontally extending groove is created which is surrounded by the wall frame side board 21, the floor joist side board 22 and the foundation 50.
Using this groove, the wall frame 10 and the wall frame side plate 21 are fixed obliquely from the outdoor side on the wall frame side plate 21 side with nails K. In other words, the wall frame 10 is fixed obliquely from below on the outdoor side.
The outdoor end edge of the wall frame side panel 21 is positioned so as to overlap the outdoor edge of the lower end portion 13 of the wall frame 10 when viewed from above.
The vertical length of the inverted L-shaped end joist 20, which is the sum of the thickness of the wall frame side panel 21 and the longitudinal length of the floor joist side panel 22, is the same dimension as the vertical length of the floor joist 40. If the length of the inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is shorter than the length of the floor joist 40, a height adjustment member 24 is used to adjust the length.
The wall frame 10 is supported by structural plywood 41, inverted L-shaped end joists 20, and floor joists 40.
The supplementary material 30 is inserted to fill the gap between the inverted L-shaped end joist 20 and the foundation 50 after the wall frame 10 is fixed from the underside of the wall frame side plate material 21 with a nail K, and is inserted so as to hide the floor joist side plate material 22.
The end faces of the wall frame side panels 21, the broad faces of the supplementary materials 30, and the sides of the base 50 form a flat surface for installing the exterior material 32.
The exterior plate, which is the exterior material 32 , is provided to cover at least the supplementary material 30 .
The exterior material 32 is plywood of the same quality as the exterior plate 14, and by making the color and the like similar, the exterior plate 14 and the exterior material 32 can be recognized as one unit from the outside.
The reinforcement material 30 may also bear part of the load of the wall frame 10 .
The process of the wall frame connection structure 1 will be described with reference to FIG.
The wall frame side panels 21 and floor joist side panels 22 are fixed with nails K so as to form an inverted L shape. By making the wall frame side panels 21 and floor joist side panels 22 out of the same size, arrangement and management can be made easier (FIG. 5(a)).
The inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is fixed to the end of the floor joist 40. If the length of the inverted L-shaped end joist 20 differs from the length of the end of the floor joist 40, the height is adjusted using a height adjustment material 24. The inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is fixed to the floor joist 40 using two nails K (FIG. 5(b)).
The structural plywood 41 is placed over and fixed onto the inverted L-shaped end joists 20 and floor joists 40. The wall frame 10 is temporarily placed on top of the structural plywood 41 on the outdoor side edge. The wall frame 10 is fixed with nails K from diagonally below the outdoor side of the inverted L-shaped end joists 20 (FIG. 5(c)).
The supplementary material 30 is inserted into the gap between the inverted L-shaped end joist 20 and the foundation 50, and is fixed to the floor joist side board material 22 of the L-shaped end joist 20 with nails K. If the supplementary material 30 is to bear part of the load, the vertical dimensions are precisely adjusted (FIG. 5(d)).
The exterior material 32 is attached to complete the structure (FIG. 5(e)).
In this way, according to the present invention, wall frames that have been prefabricated in a factory can be constructed without specialized skills, and even carpenters with only knowledge of conventional construction methods can carry out the work, increasing the number of craftsmen capable of construction and making construction work more efficient.
Moreover, a similar structure can be applied to other parts.
FIG. 3(a) shows the structure of the second floor floor and wall framework.
The wall frame side panels 21 are arranged above and below the floor joist side panels 22, the end joist 71 is U-shaped when viewed from the end, the floor joist 40 is a floor joist for the second floor, one wall frame side panel 21 corresponds to the upper end 12 of the wall frame 10 for the first floor, and the other wall frame side panel 21 corresponds to the lower end 13 of the wall frame 10 for the second floor.
The nails K are driven into the first floor wall frame 10 and the second floor wall frame 10 from the corresponding wall frame side panel 21 side.
With this configuration, both the first floor wall framework 10 and the second floor wall framework 10 can be easily fixed from the outdoor side.
FIG. 3(b) shows the structure of the wall frame and roof joint.
The wall framework 10 of the roof portion can be easily fixed by driving a nail K from the anti-roll bar 42 at the end of the talc 60 into the upper end 12 of the wall framework 10.
FIG. 4(a) shows the structure of the wall frame and the corner joint.
When fixing the wall frames 10 together at a corner, one of the vertical frames 11 of the wall frames is made into an L-shape and fixed from the outside. The gap of the L-shape is filled with a supplementary material 30, so that the corner can also be made of high quality.
FIG. 4(b) shows a structure for connecting wall frames together.
The vertical frame 11 on one side of the wall frame is made L-shaped and fixed from the outside. With this method, even when connecting wall frames, wall frames with insulation material and airtight sheets already installed can be used.
FIG. 4(c) shows a structure for fitting a corner between roof framing members.
The structure is such that the tarpaulin on one side of the roof frame is L-shaped and fixed from the outside. With this method, when connecting the roof frames, it is possible to use roof frames that already have insulation and airtight sheets installed.
The effect of this embodiment on the load will be described with reference to FIG.
Fig. 6(a) is a cross-sectional view of a portion of this embodiment that does not have a floor joist 40. Fig. 6(b) is a cross-sectional view of a portion of a conventional structure that does not have a floor joist 40.
In this embodiment, the portion without floor joists 40 is supported by the inverted L-shaped end joists 20 and supplementary materials 30, albeit via structural plywood 41, and supports more than half the area of the bottom surface of the wall frame 10. Furthermore, since the floor joist side panel material 22 of the inverted L-shaped end joist 20 is located at the center of the thickness of the wall frame 10, the wall frame 10 can be supported in an extremely stable manner.
In contrast, in the conventional structure, the wall frame 10 is supported only by the conventional end joists 72 via the structural plywood 41, and since the conventional end joists 72 are not located at the center of the thickness of the wall frame 10, there is a possibility that the wall frame 10 will warp over time.
Therefore, the structure of this embodiment has the effect of reducing distortion over time.
The wall frame connection structure of the present invention is believed to have great industrial applicability in terms of improving the efficiency of the two-by-four construction method.
