Abstract

前記収容空間を介して対向配置された第1電極および少なくとも1つの第2電極と、
前記第1電極、前記第2電極間の静電容量を相互容量方式で検出する静電容量検出部と、を備えることを特徴とする。
図1は、本発明の印刷装置を示す概略構成図である。図2は、図1に示す物理量検出装置が備える容器の斜視図である。図3は、図2中x軸方向から見た図である。図4は、図2中y軸方向から見た図であり、静電容量検出部との電気的な接続を示した図である。図5は、図1に示す物理量検出装置の回路図である。図6は、図1に示す物理量検出装置のブロック図である。図7〜図10は、検出部が検出した電流の経時変化を示すグラフである。図11は、第1電極および第2電極の位置関係を説明するための図である。図12および図13は、図6に示す制御部が行う制御動作を説明するためのフローチャートである。
印刷装置10は、印刷用紙であるシートSを貯留する貯留部11と、貯留部11から供給されたシートSにインク100を吐出するインクジェットヘッド12と、物理量検出装置1と、表示部13とを有する。また、インクジェットヘッド12には、物理量検出装置1からインク100が供給される。
図2〜図6に示すように、物理量検出装置1は、容器2と、第1電極3と、第2電極4と、静電容量検出部50と、制御部6とを有する。また、制御部6は、印刷装置10の各部を制御する制御部を兼ねていてもよい。
第1電極3は、後述する第1電源8Aからパルス電圧が印加される送信電極である。図2〜図4に示すように、第1電極3は、側壁24の外側、すなわち、+x軸側に配置されている。第1電極3は、導電性を有する材料、例えば、金、銀、銅、アルミ、鉄、ニッケル、コバルト、またはこれらを含む合金等の金属材料で構成されている。第1電極3は、例えば、めっき、蒸着、印刷等により側壁24の外面に直接形成されていてもよく、図示しない粘着剤層を介して側壁24の外面に貼り付けられていてもよく、図示しない支持部材により側壁24に接触または非接触で支持されていてもよい。
第2電極4A〜第2電極4Cは、受信電極であり、側壁22の外側の面、すなわち、−x軸側に配置されている。第2電極4A〜第2電極4Cは、それぞれ、y軸方向に延在する長尺状をなしている。第2電極4A〜第2電極4Cは、z軸方向に沿って+z軸側からこの順で互いに離間して配置されている。また、第2電極4A〜第2電極4Cは、平行になるように設置されている。
図5に示すように、物理量検出装置1は、第1電極3に電気的に接続された第1電源8Aと、第2電極4A〜第2電極4Cにそれぞれ接続された第2電源8Bと、第1コンデンサーCaと、第2コンデンサーCbと、第3コンデンサーCcと、第2電極4A〜4Cにそれぞれ電気的に接続された検出部5と、制御部6と、を備える。第1電源8A、第2第2電源8B、検出部5および制御部6により、静電容量検出部50が構成される。
Claims (9)
- 誘電体で構成される検出対象物を収容する収容空間を内部に有する容器と、
前記収容空間を介して対向配置された第1電極および少なくとも1つの第2電極と、
前記第1電極、前記第2電極間の静電容量を相互容量方式で検出する静電容量検出部と、を備えることを特徴とする物理量検出装置。 - 前記第1電極および前記第2電極を覆う絶縁層と、前記絶縁層を覆う電磁波シールドと、を備える請求項1に記載の物理量検出装置。
- 互いに直交するx軸、y軸および鉛直方向に沿ったz軸を設定したとき、前記容器は、前記z軸方向を深さ方向とするものであり、
前記第2電極は、前記y軸方向に沿って延在する長尺状をなし、前記第1電極に対し、前記x軸方向に離間して配置されている請求項1または2に記載の物理量検出装置。 - 前記第1電極は、前記z軸方向に沿って延在する長尺状をなし、
前記第2電極は、前記z軸方向に沿って互いに離間して複数設けられている請求項3に記載の物理量検出装置。 - 前記検出対象物は、流動性を有し、
前記容器は、前記検出対象物を排出する排出部を有する請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の物理量検出装置。 - 前記静電容量検出部は、前記第1電極にパルス電圧を印加し、前記パルス電圧の位相を切り替え可能な第1電源と、前記第2電極にパルス電圧を印加する第2電源と、前記第1電極、前記第2電極間の電流または電圧を検出する検出部と、を有する請求項1ないし5のいずれか1項に記載の物理量検出装置。
- 前記静電容量検出部は、前記検出部の検出結果に基づいて前記第1電極、前記第2電極間での前記検出対象物の有無を判断する判断部を有する請求項6に記載の物理量検出装置。
- 前記判断部は、前記検出部の検出結果に基づいて、前記第1電源、前記第2電源および前記検出部を含む等価回路の寄生容量を相殺するような演算を行う請求項7に記載の物理量検出装置。
- 請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載の物理量検出装置を備えることを特徴とする印刷装置。
