Abstract
Description
歯の過敏性は、多くの人々に共通の問題であり、高齢化人口においてますます一般的になっている。この状態は、歯を覆うエナメル質の保護層および/または歯肉が後退し、象牙質層を露出させると発生する。象牙質は、石灰化がはるかに少ない物質であり、無機質(ヒドロキシルアパタイト)および有機分(コラーゲン)の両方からなる。象牙質層はさらに多孔質であり、歯根から外へ延びて歯の様々な部分への栄養素の運搬を可能にする円形の複数の細管を有する。これらの細管が外部刺激、例えば熱、冷たさまたは多糖に曝されると、(膨張/収縮のために)細管内の流体の圧力が変化し、過敏性の歯に関連する痛みを引き起こすと仮定されている。神経遮断剤として作用するために、硝酸カリウムが過敏性練歯磨配合物に一般に加えられ、ここで、痛み信号を脳に送る歯の能力をカリウムイオンが妨げる。痛みの原因となる状態は依然として存在するが、十分な濃度のカリウムイオンがその領域に蓄積した後は、痛みはもはや感じられない。硝酸カリウム練歯磨を連続して2週間を超えて使用しないことが推奨されるため、他の過敏性低下剤が単独で、または硝酸カリウムと併せて通常は使用される。エナメル質表面を修復する可溶性カルシウムおよびリン酸イオンの析出により新しいヒドロキシルアパタイトの生成を促進する再石灰化剤を使用することができる(例えば、NovaMin−バイオガラスタイプの材料)。この材料は特有の一連の配合の課題をもたらすが、その理由は、成分が通常は適用前に分離したままである必要があり(デュアルチューブまたは疎水性配合物)、かつ成分が通常はフッ化ナトリウムと適合しない(Caイオン)からである。

球形のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子は、任意の適した組成物において、任意の適した最終使用用途のために使用することができる。多くの場合、シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子は、口腔ケア用途において、例えば歯磨剤組成物において使用することができる。歯磨剤組成物は、任意の適切な量のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子、例えば約0.5〜約50wt.%、約1〜約50wt.%、約5〜約35wt.%、約10〜約40wt.%または約10〜約30wt.%の球形のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子を含むことができる。これらの重量パーセントは、歯磨剤組成物の全重量に基づく。

球形シリカ粒子

表IIにまとめた練歯磨配合物1B〜2Bにおいて、シリカ1A〜2Aのサンプルを使用した。例2Aの3.1μm球形シリカの注入密度は、例1Aのものの約6倍であったため、追加の球形シリカを配合物2Bに加えて、配合物中のシリカ粒子の数をほぼ同じに保った(例1Bにおける0.8wt.%の例1Aシリカに対して、例2Bにおける5wt.%の3.1μm球形シリカ)。
Claims (28)
- (i)約1〜約5μmの範囲内のd50中央粒径;
(ii)約8μm以下のd95粒径;
(iii)約40〜約100cc/100gの範囲内の吸油量;
(iv)約20〜約60lb/ft3の範囲内の充填密度;および
(v)約0.9以上の球形度係数(S80)
によって特徴づけられる、シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子。 - 前記d50中央粒径が、約1.5〜約4μmの範囲内である、請求項1記載の粒子。
- 前記d50中央粒径が、約2〜約4.5μmの範囲内である、請求項1記載の粒子。
- 前記d95粒径が約7μm以下である、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記d95粒径が約6μm以下である、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記吸油量が、約50〜約85cc/100gの範囲内である、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記吸油量が、約60〜約80cc/100gの範囲内である、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記充填密度が、約30〜約50lb/ft3の範囲内である、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記充填密度が、約35〜約45lb/ft3の範囲内である、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約1〜約10mg損失/100,000回転の範囲内のアインレーナー摩耗値によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約2〜約7mg損失/100,000回転の範囲内のアインレーナー摩耗値によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約25〜約100m2/gの範囲内のBET表面積によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から11までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約40〜約90m2/gの範囲内のBET表面積によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から11までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約55〜約115cc/100gの範囲内の吸水量(AbC)によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約70〜約100cc/100gの範囲内の吸水量(AbC)によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約0.5wt.%以下の325メッシュ残留物によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から15までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、約0.2wt.%以下の325メッシュ残留物によってさらに特徴づけられる、請求項1から15までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記球形度係数(S80)が約0.92以上である、請求項1から17までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記球形度係数(S80)が約0.94以上である、請求項1から17までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、沈降シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子である、請求項1から19までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、非晶質である、請求項1から20までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、沈降シリカ粒子を含む、請求項1から21までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 前記シリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子が、アルミノケイ酸ナトリウム粒子、アルミノケイ酸ナトリウムマグネシウム粒子、ケイ酸カルシウム粒子、ケイ酸マグネシウム粒子またはそれらの任意の組合せを含む、請求項1から22までのいずれか1項記載の粒子。
- 請求項1から23までのいずれか1項記載のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子を含む組成物。
- 請求項1から23までのいずれか1項記載のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子を含む歯磨剤組成物。
- 約0.5〜約50wt.%の請求項1から23までのいずれか1項記載のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子を含む歯磨剤組成物。
- 約5〜約35wt.%の請求項1から23までのいずれか1項記載のシリカ粒子および/またはケイ酸塩粒子を含む歯磨剤組成物。
- 湿潤剤、溶媒、粘結剤、治療剤、キレート剤、前記シリカ粒子および/もしくはケイ酸塩粒子以外のシックナー、界面活性剤、前記シリカ粒子および/もしくはケイ酸塩粒子以外の研磨剤、甘味剤、着色剤、香味剤ならびに保存料のうちの少なくとも1つ、またはそれらの任意の組合せをさらに含む、請求項25から27までのいずれか1項記載の歯磨剤組成物。
