Description

The present invention relates to a pipe joint.

Conventionally, a pipe connecting device (pipe joint) as described in Patent Document 1 is known. The pipe connecting device includes a joint body connected to the tube and a union nut. In the pipe connecting device, by tightening the union nut with respect to the joint body, the tube pressing portion of the union nut fits the tapered outer peripheral surface of the tube inserted into the fitting tubular portion of the joint body. The tube is pressed against the diameter changing portion of the fitting tubular portion to seal between the tube and the fitting tubular portion (the joint body).

In the pipe connecting device described in Patent Document 1, since the sealing portion between the fitting tubular portion of the joint body and the tube is on the front side in the fastening direction of the union nut, a radial external force acts on the tube. In that case, the tube is pulled under the influence of the external force. At this time, since the tightening force by the union nut does not change, the pressing force by the tube pressing portion when the radial external force is not generated cannot be maintained, and the sealing force may be reduced. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure the stability of the seal, which always maintains a constant sealing force even under the influence of external force.

The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object thereof is to suppress deterioration of stability of a seal in a pipe joint.

The present invention is
A joint body connected to the tube in a state where the inner ring portion is inserted into the tube,
A fastening member that is fastened to the joint body radially outward of the inner ring portion,
The joint body has an outer ring portion that surrounds the tube in which the inner ring portion is inserted,
The fastening member has a pressing portion that presses the tube in which the inner ring portion is inserted,
The pressing portion is a pipe joint that is press-fitted between the outer ring portion and the tube into which the inner ring portion is inserted.

According to this configuration, when the fastening member is fastened to the joint body, the pressing portion is press-fitted between the outer ring portion and the end portion of the tube into which the inner ring portion is inserted. With this, the tube can be pressed against the inner ring portion. That is, it is possible to stably seal between the inner ring portion and the tube.

Further, it is possible to provide a sealing portion, which is generated by the pressure contact between the inner ring portion and the tube, not on the front side in the fastening direction of the fastening member but on the back side in the fastening direction of the fastening member. As a result, even if an external force in the radial direction acts on the joint body and the fastening member by the tube pressed by the pressing portion, the sealing location is less likely to be affected by the external force. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the stability of the seal from decreasing.

According to another aspect of the invention,
The outer ring portion is configured to be elastically deformable in the radial direction.

According to this configuration, the outer ring portion maintains the state in which the pressing portion continues to press the tube toward the inner ring portion in a good condition, so that the space between the inner ring portion and the tube into which the inner ring portion is inserted is maintained. Is stably sealed. Moreover, since the outer ring portion is elastically deformed, the pressing portion can be easily press-fitted.

According to a further aspect of the invention,
The pressing portion has a shape that tapers toward the inner side in the fastening direction of the fastening member.

According to this structure, it becomes easy to press-fit the pressing portion between the outer ring portion and the tube in which the inner ring portion is inserted. Therefore, the fastening member can be easily fastened to the joint body.

According to yet another aspect of the invention,
The fastening member has a threaded portion. The threaded portion is fastened to the threaded portion provided on the joint body.

According to this configuration, the fastening member can be fastened to the joint body by the rotating operation. Therefore, when the fastening member is fastened to the joint body, the pressing portion can be easily press-fitted.

According to yet another aspect of the invention,
The pressing portion of the fastening member is configured separately from the fastening member or separable from the fastening member.

According to this configuration, when the pressing portion is press-fitted when the fastening member is rotated, the pressing portion whose position is fixed by the press-fitting can be separated from the fastening member. Therefore, after the separation, only the rotating operation of the fastening member needs to be performed, so that the operability of rotating the fastening member can be improved.

According to yet another aspect of the invention,
The fastening member has a second pressing portion different from the pressing portion. The second pressing portion axially presses the tube into which the inner ring portion is inserted toward the inner ring portion.

According to this structure, the tube can be axially pressed toward the inner ring portion by the second pressing portion, and the inner ring portion and the tube can be sealed at two locations. Therefore, the number of sealing points between the inner ring portion and the tube is increased, so that the safety (reliability) of the seal can be improved.

According to yet another aspect of the invention,
The fastening member is configured to press the tube radially inward when fastened to the joint body.

With such a configuration, the fastening member presses the tube inward in the radial direction, so that when the tube swings, a part of the swinging force can be absorbed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent this force from being transmitted to the sealing portion by the pressing portion.

According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the stability of the seal in the pipe joint from decreasing.

The joint body 7 is configured to be connected to the tube 3 with the inner ring portion 11 inserted in the tube 3. In the present embodiment, the joint body 7 has an inner ring portion 11 and a body portion 13.

The inner ring portion 11 is inserted (press-fitted in this embodiment) into the end portion 5 so as to increase the inner diameter and the outer diameter of the end portion 5 in the longitudinal direction of the tube 3.

The inner ring portion 11 is arranged on one axial side of the joint body 7. In the present embodiment, the inner ring portion 11 is provided integrally with the main body portion 13.

Specifically, the inner ring portion 11 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The inner ring portion 11 is provided at an end portion on one axial side of the main body portion 13 (an end portion 17a on one axial side of the cylindrical connecting portion 17 described later) so as to project in one axial direction.

That is, the male screw portion 19 is arranged radially outward of the inner ring portion 11.

Further, the fastening member 9 is configured to be fastened to the joint body 7 radially outward of the inner ring portion 11. The fastening member 9 has a pressing portion 21 that radially presses the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted.

In this embodiment, the fastening member 9 is formed in a tubular shape. The fastening member 9 is configured so that it can be fitted (externally fitted) to the outside of the tube 3. The fastening member 9 can move in the longitudinal direction (along the axial direction) of the tube 3 while being fitted onto the tube 3.

The fastening member 9 further includes a first tubular portion 23 and a second tubular portion 25. The fastening member 9 is a union nut corresponding to the joint body 7 in the present embodiment. The first tubular portion 23 is fitted onto the tube 3 and is configured to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the tube 3.

In the present embodiment, the first tubular portion 23 has an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the tube 3. The first tubular portion 23 has an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the inner ring portion 11 of the joint body 7.

The second tubular portion 25 is arranged on the fastening member 9 on the other axial side of the first tubular portion 23. The second tubular portion 25 is provided at the end portion 23a on the other axial side of the first tubular portion 23.

The end portion 23 a of the first tubular portion 23 is provided with the pressing portion 21 radially inward of the second tubular portion 25. The detailed configuration of the pressing portion 21 will be described later.

The second tubular portion 25 has an inner diameter larger than the inner diameter of the first tubular portion 23. The second tubular portion 25 is configured so that the portion (including the end portion 17a) of the main body portion 13 of the joint main body 7 on the one axial side of the tubular connecting portion 17 can be fitted therein.

The second tubular portion 25 has a female screw portion 27 on the inner peripheral side on the other axial side thereof. The female screw portion 27 corresponds to the male screw portion 19 formed on the tubular connecting portion 17 of the main body portion 13.

The female screw portion 27 is tightened to the male screw portion 19 of the tubular connecting portion 17 when the second tubular portion 25 is fitted in the axially one side portion of the tubular connecting portion 17 of the main body portion 13. ..

With the above configuration, the inner ring portion 11 is press-fitted into the tube 3 so as to increase the inner diameter and the outer diameter of the end portion 5 of the tube 3, and in that state, the fastening member 9 is screwed to the joint body 7 in the other axial direction. By advancing and engaging the male screw portion 19 and the female screw portion 27, the fastening member 9 can be fastened to the joint body 7.

Then, when the fastening member 9 and the joint body 7 are fastened, the pressing portion 21 of the fastening member 9 pushes the end portion 5 of the tube 3 toward the inner ring portion 11, so that the end portion 5 of the tube 3 is moved to the inner ring portion. It is possible to maintain the state of being pressed against 11. As a result, the fastening member 9 can be fastened to the joint body 7 and the tube 3 can be connected to the joint body 7. Further, it is possible to seal between the inner ring portion 11 of the joint body 7 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3 connected thereto.

Next, in particular, the configuration of the pressing portion 21 and the like of the fastening member 9 of the pipe joint 1 will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the joint body 7 on one axial side. FIG. 4 is a sectional view of the fastening member 9.

As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4, the joint body 7 has an outer ring portion 31. The outer ring portion 31 surrounds the tube 3 in which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted.

The pressing portion 21 of the fastening member 9 is press-fitted between the outer ring portion 31 of the joint body 7 and the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted when the fastening member 9 is fastened to the joint body 7. It is configured.

The outer ring portion 31 is arranged radially outward of the inner ring portion 11 of the joint body 7. The outer ring portion 31 is arranged at a first predetermined interval S1 in the radial direction with respect to the inner ring portion 11.

A first space 33 is formed between the outer ring portion 31 and the inner ring portion 11. The first space 33 is an annular space that is open on one side in the axial direction and is closed on the other side in the axial direction.

The outer ring portion 31 is provided so as to project from the end portion 17a on the one axial side of the tubular connecting portion 17 to the one axial side. The outer ring portion 31 extends in the same direction as the extending direction (axial direction) of the inner ring portion 11.

Specifically, the outer ring portion 31 is formed in a cylindrical shape, and is formed in a shape that tapers toward one side in the axial direction. The outer ring portion 31 has a substantially constant outer diameter, and the inner diameter gradually increases from the other side in the axial direction toward the one side in the axial direction.

The outer ring portion 31 is provided such that the projecting end portion (end portion on one axial side) 31a having the smallest radial width is located on the other axial side than the projecting end portion 11a of the inner ring portion 11. There is.

When the fastening member 9 is fastened to the joint body 7, the outer ring portion 31 is arranged at a second predetermined distance S2 in the radial direction with respect to the end portion 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted. ..

A second space 32 is formed between the outer ring portion 31 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3 in which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted. The second space is an annular space that is included in the first space 33 and has a radial width that decreases toward the other side in the axial direction.

The pressing portion 21 is arranged radially inward of the second tubular portion 25. The pressing portion 21 is arranged at a third predetermined interval S3 in the radial direction with respect to the second tubular portion 25.

A third space 35 is formed between the pressing portion 21 and the second tubular portion 25. The third space 35 is an annular space that is closed on one side in the axial direction and is open on the other side in the axial direction.

The pressing portion 21 is provided so as to project from the end portion 23a on one axial side of the first tubular portion 23 to the other axial side. The pressing portion 21 extends in the axial direction which is the extending direction of the second tubular portion 25.

Specifically, the pressing portion 21 is formed in a cylindrical shape. The pressing portion 21 is tapered toward the other side in the axial direction, and is set so that the radial width of the projecting end portion (the end portion on the other side in the axial direction) 21a is smallest. In this embodiment, the protruding end 21a has a pointed cross-section.

The pressing portion 21 is entirely along the axial direction rather than the radial width (radial width of the second space) between the end portion 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted and the outer ring portion 31. Has a slightly larger radial width.

With such a configuration, when the fastening member 9 is moved to the other side in the axial direction which is the fastening direction and fastened to the joint body 7, the pressing portion 21 is pushed into the second space. Therefore, the pressing portion 21 can be press-fitted between the end portion 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted and the outer ring portion 31.

Then, since the pressing portion 21 is press-fitted between the outer ring portion 31 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3, the flexible outer ring portion 31 continues to push the pressing portion 21 inward in the radial direction. .. Therefore, the state in which the pressing portion 21 presses the end portion 5 of the tube 3 toward the inner ring portion 11 located radially inward can be maintained well.

Therefore, in the pipe joint 1, while the fastening member 9 is being fastened to the joint body 7, the end portion 5 of the tube 3 can be stably brought into pressure contact with the inner ring portion 11 by the pressing portion 21. That is, it is possible to stably seal between the inner ring portion 11 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted.

Further, it becomes possible to provide a sealing portion, which is generated as a result of the pressure contact between the inner ring portion 11 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3, not on the front side in the fastening direction of the fastening member 9 but on the back side in the fastening direction of the fastening member 9. .. That is, it is possible to provide the fastening member 9 and the axially intermediate portion 40 of the tube 3 which is not fitted to the fastening member 9 at a position as far as possible from the axial boundary portion 42 on the other axial side.

As a result, after the fastening member 9 is fastened to the joint body 7, even if an external force acts on the tube 3 pressed by the pressing portion 21 in the longitudinal direction intermediate portion 40 or the like in the radial direction, the influence of the external force is It is possible to make it difficult to affect the sealing part. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the reduction of the sealing force of the sealing portion, that is, the reduction of the stability of the seal due to the influence of the external force.

The fastening direction of the fastening member 9 refers to the other side in the axial direction, and is the direction of arrow 46 in FIG. 1 and the like. The front side in the fastening direction of the fastening member 9 is one side in the axial direction, and the back side in the fastening direction of the fastening member 9 is the other side in the axial direction.

In addition, in the present embodiment, the pressing portion 21 presses the tube 5 in a state where the pressing portion 21 is in surface contact with the end portion 5 of the tube 3 and seals the surface between the inner ring portion 11 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3. To do.

Therefore, as described above, even when an external force is generated in the tube 3, the pressing portion 21 contacts in a large area in the axial direction and maintains a good pressing state, so that the stability of the seal can be further ensured. You can

Further, in the present embodiment, the pressing portion 21 has a sharp shape that tapers toward the inner side in the fastening direction of the fastening member 9.

Therefore, it becomes easy to press-fit the pressing portion 21 between the outer ring portion 31 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted. Therefore, the fastening between the fastening member 9 and the joint body 7 becomes easy.

Further, in the present embodiment, the fastening member 9 has a screw portion (female screw portion 27) that meshes with a screw portion (male screw portion 19) provided in the joint body 7 for fastening with the joint body 7. ing.

Therefore, by rotating the fastening member 9 to engage the screw portions 19 and 27 with each other, the fastening member 9 can be fastened to the joint body 7, and the pressing portion 21 can be connected to the outer ring portion 31 and the inner ring portion 11. It can be easily press fitted between the inserted tube 3 and the end 5.

Further, in this embodiment, the outer ring portion 31 of the joint body 7 is configured to be elastically deformable in the radial direction.

More specifically, in the outer ring portion 31, the projecting end portion 31a is directed radially outward with the vicinity of the root portion (the end portion on the other side in the axial direction) 31b as a fulcrum by pressing the pressing portion 21 into the second space. It is designed to bend.

In addition, when the pressing portion 21 is removed from the second space, the outer ring portion 31 is released from the outward bending in the radial direction of the projecting end portion 31a and returns to the original state.

With such a configuration, the outer ring portion 31 has the pressing portion 21 press-fitted between the outer ring portion 31 and the inner ring portion 11 inserted into the end portion 5 of the tube 3 and is pressed to be entirely Displaces radially outward.

Then, while the pressing portion 21 is being press-fitted, the outer ring portion 31 is acted on by a force to return to the original shape before the pressing portion 21 was press-fitted.

Here, the protruding end portion 31a of the outer ring portion 31 is displaced outward in the radial direction which is a direction in which the third space 35 is reduced without being hindered by the second tubular portion 25 and the like.

Therefore, when the pressing part 21 is press-fitted between the outer ring part 31 and the end part 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring part 11 is inserted, the pressing part 21 presses the end part 5 of the tube 3 into the inner ring part 11. The state in which the outer ring portion 31 continues to be pressed toward can be favorably maintained. Therefore, it is possible to stably seal between the inner ring portion 11 and the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted.

Moreover, since the outer ring portion 31 is elastically deformed, the pressing portion 21 can be easily press-fitted between the outer ring portion 31 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3.

Further, in the present embodiment, the fastening member 9 has the second pressing portion 52 different from the pressing portion 21. The second pressing portion 52 presses the tube 3 in which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted toward the inner ring portion 11 in the axial direction.

Specifically, the second pressing portion 52 is arranged on the front side (one side in the axial direction) of the fastening member 9 in the fastening direction with respect to the pressing portion 21. The second pressing portion 52 is an annular corner portion formed at the end portion on the one axial side of the inner peripheral portion of the first tubular portion 23.

Then, the second pressing portion 52 contacts the end portion 5 of the tube 3 when the fastening member 9 is fastened to the joint body 7, and the second pressing portion 52 faces the tapered outer peripheral surface 15 of the inner ring portion 11 in the other axial direction. , And further axially inward.

With such a configuration, the second pressing portion 52 presses the end portion 5 of the tube 3 toward the inner ring portion 11, and the inner ring portion 11 and the end portion of the tube 3 are separated from the pressing portion 21. It is possible to seal between the part 5 and the part 5. Therefore, it is possible to further increase the number of sealing portions between the inner ring portion 11 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3 and enhance the safety (reliability) of the sealing.

In addition, since the end portion 5 of the tube 3 is pressed in the axial direction toward the inner ring portion 11, the retaining of the tube 3 with respect to the pipe joint 1 can be further improved.

Further, the second pressing portion 52, which is the sealing portion, can absorb the radial external force generated in the tube 3 described above. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the external force from being transmitted to the sealing portion by the pressing portion 21.

In addition, the pressing portion 21 of the fastening member 9 may be configured to be separable from the tubular portion (the first tubular portion 23 in the present embodiment).

For example, as shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of notches 55 are intermittently provided in the circumferential direction between the pressing portion 21 and the first tubular portion 23. The plurality of cutout portions 55 are arranged over the entire circumference at the connection portion (near the end portion 23a) between the pressing portion 21 and the first tubular portion 23.

When the pressing portion 21 has a difference of a predetermined value or more between the torque for rotating the pressing portion 21 and the torque for rotating the first tubular portion 23 and the second tubular portion 25, a plurality of values are generated. It is separated from the first tubular portion 23 by the cutout portion 55.

According to this configuration, when the pressing portion 21 is press-fitted between the outer ring portion 31 and the end portion 5 of the tube 3 into which the inner ring portion 11 is inserted when the fastening member 9 is rotated, the position is fixed by the press-fitting. It is possible to cause the above-mentioned difference in torque between the pressed pressing portion 21 and the first tubular portion 23, and thus the second tubular portion 25, and separate the pressing portion 21 from the first tubular portion 23. .. Therefore, after the separation, only the first tubular portion 23 and the second tubular portion 25 need to be rotated, so that the rotational operability of the fastening member 9 can be improved.

The configuration for separating the pressing portion 21 from the first tubular portion 23 is not limited to the configuration in which the plurality of cutout portions 55 are provided as described above. For example, the pressing portion 21 may be provided in the first tubular portion 23. It may be separated from 23.

Further, as the configuration of the fastening member 9, the tube 3 may be pressed inward in the radial direction when the fastening member 9 is fastened to the joint body 7.

For example, as shown in FIG. 6, by setting the inner diameter of the first tubular portion 23 of the fastening member 9 to be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the longitudinal midway portion 40 of the tube 3, the first tubular portion 23 is formed. Has an inner peripheral portion 58 that is a pressing surface that presses the longitudinal midway portion 40 of the tube 3 in the radial direction.

According to this configuration, the longitudinal midway portion 40 of the tube 3 is pressed inward in the radial direction by the inner peripheral portion 58 of the first tubular portion 23 near the boundary portion 42. Even when rocking occurs in 3, it is possible to absorb a part of the force due to rocking. Therefore, this force can be suppressed from being transmitted to the sealing portion by the pressing portion 21.

Further, although the joint body in the present invention is the joint body 7 having the inner ring portion 11 (which is made of a single member) and the body portion 13 which are integrally configured in the present embodiment, the joint body 7 is not limited to this. Instead, for example, as shown in FIG. 7, a joint main body 65 having an inner ring portion 61 and a main body portion 63 which are separately configured may be used.

Obviously, many modifications and variations of the present invention are possible in light of the above teachings. Therefore, it is to be understood that the invention, within the scope of the appended claims, may be practiced otherwise than as described herein.
