Claims (15)
- 流体液滴を吐出するノズルを備えるプリントヘッドアセンブリであって、前記ノズルは、少なくとも2つのグループに分割され、各グループは、バースト液滴カウントとバースト後遅延とバースト順序とを割り当てられる、プリントヘッドアセンブリと、
スピット中に前記ノズルから吐出された流体を受け取るサービスステーションアセンブリと、
前記プリントヘッドアセンブリのスピットの目標液滴カウントに達するまで、各グループの前記バースト液滴カウントと前記バースト後遅延と前記バースト順序とに基づいて各グループの前記ノズルから流体を吐出することによって、前記スピットを制御するコントローラと
を備えてなる、プリンタ。 - 第1のグループは第1のバースト順序を割り当てられ、第2のグループは前記第1のバースト順序と異なる第2のバースト順序を割り当てられる、請求項1に記載のプリンタ。
- 第1のグループは第1のバースト液滴カウントを割り当てられ、第2のグループは前記第1のバースト液滴カウントと異なる第2のバースト液滴カウントを割り当てられる、請求項1に記載のプリンタ。
- 第1のグループは第1のバースト後遅延を割り当てられ、第2のグループは前記第1のバースト後遅延と異なる第2のバースト後遅延を割り当てられる、請求項1に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記ノズルは、該ノズルから吐出される流体の色に基づいて前記少なくとも2つのグループに分割される、請求項1に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記コントローラは、前記プリントヘッドアセンブリの前記スピットによって生成されるエアゾールを制限するように前記スピットを制御するものである、請求項1に記載のプリンタ。
- 流体液滴を吐出する複数のノズルを備えるプリントヘッドアセンブリであって、前記複数のノズルは、少なくとも第1のグループと第2のグループとに分割され、前記第1のグループは第1のバースト液滴カウントと第1のバースト後遅延とを割り当てられ、前記第2のグループは第2のバースト液滴カウントと第2のバースト後遅延とを割り当てられる、プリントヘッドアセンブリと、
スピット中に前記複数のノズルから吐出された流体を受け取るサービスステーションアセンブリと、
前記第1のバースト液滴カウントの前記第1のグループの前記ノズルからの流体の吐出及びその後に続く前記第1のバースト後遅延と、その後に続く前記第2のバースト液滴カウントの前記第2のグループの前記ノズルからの流体の吐出及びその後に続く前記第2のバースト後遅延とを、前記スピットの目標液滴カウントに達するまで繰り返すことによって、スピット中に前記プリントヘッドアセンブリを制御するコントローラと
を備えてなる、プリンタ。 - 前記第1のバースト液滴カウントは15液滴〜40液滴の範囲内にある、請求項7に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記第1のバースト後遅延は0.5ミリ秒〜5ミリ秒の範囲内にある、請求項7に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記第1のノズルグループは第1の色の流体を吐出するものであり、前記第2のノズルグループは前記第1の色と異なる第2の色の流体を吐出するものである、請求項7に記載のプリンタ。
- 前記複数のノズルは、前記第1のグループと前記第2のグループと第3のグループとに分割され、該第3のグループは第3のバースト液滴カウント及び第3のバースト後遅延を割り当てられ、
前記コントローラは、前記第1のバースト液滴カウント及び前記第3のバースト液滴カウントのそれぞれの前記第1のグループ及び前記第3のグループの前記ノズルからの流体の同時の吐出並びにその後に続くそれぞれの前記第1のバースト後遅延及び前記第3のバースト後遅延と、その後に続く前記第2のバースト液滴カウントの前記第2のグループの前記ノズルからの流体の吐出及びその後に続く前記第2のバースト後遅延とを、前記スピットの目標液滴カウントに達するまで繰り返すことによって、前記スピット中に前記プリントヘッドアセンブリを制御するものである、請求項7に記載のプリンタ。 - プリントヘッドアセンブリのノズルを少なくとも2つのグループに分割するステップと、
バースト液滴カウントとバースト後遅延とバースト順序とを各グループに割り当てるステップと、
前記プリントヘッドアセンブリのスピットの目標液滴カウントに達するまで、各グループの前記バースト液滴カウントと前記バースト後遅延と前記バースト順序とに基づいて各グループの前記ノズルから流体を吐出することによって、前記スピットを制御するステップと
を含んでなる、プリンタをメンテナンスする方法。 - 前記スピットを制御するステップは、前記少なくとも2つのグループの各グループの前記バースト液滴カウントと前記バースト後遅延と前記バースト順序とに基づいて少なくとも2つのグループの前記ノズルから流体を同時に吐出することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記スピットを制御するステップは、該スピットの前記目標液滴カウントに達するまで、各グループの前記バースト液滴カウントと前記バースト後遅延と前記バースト順序とに基づいて一時に1つのグループから流体を吐出することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記スピットを制御するステップは、前記スピットを印刷中に制御することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
