- 近接センサが第2センサ状態にある場合、インジケータがプランジャアセンブリに機械的に連結される、請求項22に記載の薬物送達装置。
- プランジャアセンブリがプランジャに取り付けられたプランジャアームを含み、インジケータが、係合および脱係合するように移動可能な少なくとも1つのギヤを有するギヤ列を介してプランジャアームに機械的に連結され、近接センサが、少なくとも1つのギヤを脱係合するように移動させ、かつ近接センサが第1センサ状態にある場合にインジケータをプランジャアームから分離させるように、少なくとも1つのギヤに連結される、請求項23に記載の薬物送達装置。

- 薬物送達装置が患者から取り外された後の薬物送達装置からの薬物の送達を制限する方法であって、薬物送達装置は、
第1端部および第2端部を有するボアを含むリザーバと、第1端部と第2端部との間のボア内で移動可能なプランジャを含むプランジャアセンブリと、
カニューレがリザーバと流体連通して接続される動作状態を有するカニューレと、
プランジャを第1端部と第2端部との間で移動させるためにプランジャアセンブリに連結される駆動部と、
リザーバの第1端部と第2端部との間のプランジャの移動を選択的に制限するように構成された係止部と、
リザーバ、駆動部および係止部がハウジング内に少なくとも部分的に配置されたハウジングと、
ハウジングに対して移動するように動作可能に連結された近接センサと、を含み、近接センサは、近接センサがハウジングから延びる第1センサ状態と、近接センサが第1センサ状態に対してハウジング側に後退する第2センサ状態とを有し、近接センサが第1センサ状態にある場合、係止部はプランジャアセンブリの移動を制限し、
方法は、
(a)薬物送達装置が患者から取り外された後に、近接センサを、第2センサ状態を占めた後の第1センサ状態へ移動させることと、
(b)近接センサが第1センサ状態に移動した際に係止部にプランジャアセンブリの移動を制限させることと、を含む、方法。 - (b)がプランジャアセンブリを係止部に物理的に当接させることを含む、請求項27に記載の方法。
