発汗ホットプレートテストが、ASTM F1868、part Cに従って複数の生地サンプルに対して行なわれた。熱および湿気の移動特性は、必要な周囲条件を達成するよう設定された環境試験チャンバーに収容された、保護発汗ホットプレートシステムを使用して分析された。(35℃の皮膚表面温度に加熱され)精密に調整された試験板から、サンプルを介して試験環境(25℃、相対湿度65%)へ入る熱流が、模擬的な乾燥および湿潤皮膚条件の両方に関して決定された。
本発明の実施形態の生地を特徴づけるために使用され得る別の特性は、Qtとして示された「総熱損失」であり、これは、発汗ホットプレートを使用した、ASTM F1868 part Cで規定されるような標準試験方法によっても決定され得る。総熱損失は、乾燥性と蒸発性とを組み合わせた熱損失によって、完全発汗試験板表面から試験環境中へと生地を介して移動された熱の指標である。したがって、対照に対するサンプルの熱損失の増加は、生地の増加した冷却効果を示す。
水蒸気透過の結果、すなわちMVTRは、生地を通した湿気蒸気拡散速度の尺度となる。生地を通した湿気蒸気拡散速度は、ASTM E96−80と同様の単純皿法(Simple Dish Method)に従って決定される。サンプルは、水面と試験片との間に9mmの空気空間を可能にする、水皿(直径82mmおよび深さ19mm)に配置される。8皿搭載の無振動回転テーブルが分速5メートルで一定に回転し、すべての皿がテスト中に同じ平均周囲条件に暴露されることを担保する。初期の重量を得る前に2時間、集められた試験皿を安定化させる。これらは、24時間の間隔の後にまた計量される。その後、湿気蒸気損失の割合(MVTR)はg/cm2−24時間の単位で計算される。より高いMVTR値は、材料を通して湿気蒸気のより大きな通過があることを示す。したがって、MVTRの増加は冷却にとってプラスとなる。
重量吸収性試験システム(GATS)は、テスト生地の吸収能力およびテスト生地の乾燥時間の両方を測定するために使用される。
垂直吸収は、水分吸収する生地の能力の尺度となる。垂直吸収の増加は冷却にとってプラスとなる。
Claims (25)
- 従来の繊維;
疎水性綿繊維;及び
翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維
のブレンドを含む糸。 - 前記ブレンドが、
約20%と約40%との間の従来の繊維;
約20%と約40%との間の疎水性綿繊維;及び
約20%と約40%との間の翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維を含む、
請求項1に記載の糸。 - 前記ブレンドが、
約33%の従来の繊維;
約33%の疎水性綿繊維;及び
約33%の翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維を含む、
請求項2に記載の糸。 - 前記糸がスフのブレンドを含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の糸。
- 前記従来の繊維が、綿、ポリエステルまたはこれらの混合物を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の糸。
- 前記翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維が、約0.3重量%と約1.5重量%との間の翡翠を含む、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の糸。
- 前記翡翠が、前記翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維の全体にわたって実質的に均一に分散されている、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の糸。
- 前記従来の繊維が高テナシティのポリエステルを含む、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の糸。
- 前記疎水性綿繊維が撥水性フッ素化合物を含む、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の糸。
- 経糸、及び

前記緯糸が、請求項1から9および24から25のいずれか一項に記載の糸を含む、

前記緯糸の70%超が前記生地の裏面に露出される、
請求項12に記載の生地。 - 前記生地がデニム綾織を含む、請求項10から13のいずれか一項に記載の生地。
- 少なくとも前記経糸が、インディゴ染料を含む、請求項10から14のいずれか一項に記載の生地。
- 前記生地が、少なくとも0.60の透過指数を有する、請求項10から15のいずれか一項に記載の生地。
- 前記緯糸がすべて、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の糸から成る、請求項10から16のいずれか一項に記載の生地。
- 前記経糸がすべて、従来の綿糸から成る、請求項10から17のいずれか一項に記載の生地。
- 請求項10から18のいずれか一項に記載の生地を含むズボン。
- 請求項10から18のいずれか一項に記載の生地を含むシャツ。
- ポリエステル溶融物に翡翠パウダーを混合すること;
前記翡翠含有ポリエステル溶融物を押出し加工し、フィラメントを製作すること;及び
前記フィラメントを細断し、翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維を製作すること
を含む、
翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維を作製する方法。 - 前記翡翠パウダーが、約0.3重量%と約1.5重量%との間の翡翠を含む押出し加工された翡翠含有ポリエステル繊維を提供する量で、前記ポリエステル溶融物に混合される、請求項21に記載の方法。
