Claims (11)
- 排ガスが貫流するセラミックの触媒本体(12)と、前記触媒本体(12)の貫流方向(11)に対して垂直に見て、前記触媒本体(12)を少なくともいくつかのセクションにおいて包囲する金属製のハウジング(13)とを有している、排ガス触媒コンバータのための触媒ユニット(10)であって、前記触媒本体(12)の前記貫流方向(11)に対して垂直に見て、前記触媒本体(12)と前記ハウジング(13)との間に、少なくとも1つの支持マット(15)が配置されている触媒ユニット(10)において、
前記触媒本体(12)は、その前記貫流方向に対して垂直に、前記支持マット(15)を間に配置した状態で、前記ハウジング(13)内に圧力ばめされるように圧入を介して保持されており、すなわち、前記触媒本体(12)の前記貫流方向(11)に見て、前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間の圧入が、専ら決定された軸方向位置において形成されているように保持されており、前記ハウジング(13)は、前記決定された軸方向位置において、前記ハウジング(13)の内側横断面(17)をいくつかのセクションにおいて減少させるために、溝様の凹部(16)を有しており、前記ハウジング(13)と前記触媒本体(12)との間の圧入は、専ら溝様の前記凹部(16)の領域に形成されていることを特徴とする触媒ユニット(10)。 - 前記触媒本体(12)の前記貫流方向(11)に見て、専ら前記ハウジング(13)の溝様の前記凹部(16)の領域において、少なくとも1つの支持マット(15)が、前記触媒本体(12)と前記ハウジング(13)との間に配置されていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の触媒ユニット(10)。
- 前記ハウジング(13)が、前記触媒本体(12)の前記貫流方向(11)に見て、溝様の前記凹部(16)の間において、決定された外側横断面(20)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の触媒ユニット(10)。
- 前記ハウジング(13)には、前記触媒本体(12)の貫流方向(11)に見て、最初の溝様の前記凹部(16)の下流かつ最後の溝様の前記凹部(16)の上流に、間隙(21)が導入されていることを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の触媒ユニット(10)。
- 溝様の前記凹部(16)の領域にのみ、支持マット(15)が挿入されていることを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の触媒ユニット(10)。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の触媒ユニット(10)を複数有している排ガス触媒コンバータ。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の触媒ユニット(10)を製造するための方法であって、
a)セラミックの触媒本体を供給するステップ;
b)金属製のハウジングを供給するステップ;
c)少なくとも1つの支持マットを供給するステップ;
d)セラミックの前記触媒本体と、前記支持マットとを、金属製の前記ハウジング内に配置し、前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間に圧入を形成するステップ、を少なくとも備えている方法。 - その決定された軸方向位置において溝様の凹部を有するハウジングが、供給され、前記ハウジングの内側横断面は、溝様の前記凹部の領域において、前記支持マットによって包囲された前記触媒本体の、前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間に圧入が形成されるべき軸方向位置における外側横断面より小さいので、前記触媒本体と前記支持マットとを、前記ハウジング内に配置する際に、前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間に、自動的に圧入が形成されることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- その決定された軸方向位置において溝様の凹部を有するハウジングが、供給され、前記ハウジングの内側横断面は、溝様の前記凹部の領域において、前記支持マットによって包囲された前記触媒本体の、前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間に圧入が形成されるべき軸方向位置における外側横断面より大きく、前記触媒本体と前記支持マットとを、前記ハウジング内に配置した後、前記ハウジングは、溝様の前記凹部の領域において、前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間の圧入を形成して、いくつかのセクションで圧迫され、それによって、塑性的に変形することを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 溝様の凹部を有さないハウジングが供給され、前記ハウジングの内側横断面は、前記支持マットによって包囲された前記触媒本体の外側横断面より大きく、前記触媒本体と前記支持マットとを、前記ハウジング内に配置した後、前記ハウジングは、いくつかのセクションにおいて、溝様の前記凹部を形成しかつ前記ハウジングと前記触媒本体との間の圧入を形成して圧迫されることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記ハウジングの流入領域及び流出領域における外側寸法は、成形によって、特に襞付けすること又は拡大することによって、決められた寸法に調整されることを特徴とする、請求項7から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
