Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an organic decomposition method and an organic decomposition apparatus, and more particularly, to an organic decomposition method and an organic decomposition apparatus capable of efficiently decomposing ammonia, which is a stabilized odor substance, and sterilizing suspended bacteria. Is.
In recent years, the number of home care households has increased, and the physical and mental burden of caregivers such as facilities and homes has become a major problem. In particular, the mental pain of odors in nursing care is great, and urine odors and stool odors such as storing used diapers and portable toilets, and unsanitary environments are serious problems.
As countermeasures against unsanitary environments such as such odors, recently, there are products that are released into the air by generating reactive species rich in reactivity by discharge plasma or creating positive ions and negative ions. It is commercially available.
The active species rich in reactivity generated by this discharge plasma can promote chemical reactions that are normally difficult, and contribute to the decomposition and sterilization of odorous substances, while the reaction of active species is fast. The lifespan is as short as 1 μs to 1 ms, and the present situation is that it is not efficiently involved in the actual decomposition of odorous substances and sterilization of airborne bacteria. For this reason, deodorizing and sterilizing effects due to ozone, which is also generated by discharge plasma and has a relatively long life, are being studied.
For example, Patent Literature 1 discloses that clothes taken in a clothes dryer after washing clothes are generated by ozone by corona discharge, and the ozone mixed in the heated air is supplied to the clothes to be dried. A washing machine with a clothes drying function for deodorizing is disclosed.
Patent Document 2 discloses that air is taken into an electrical device having an ozone generation function, moisture contained in the air is collected and stored, ozone water is generated from the stored water, and the ozone water is refined. Alternatively, an electric device that is vaporized and discharged into the air to deodorize and disinfect the device is disclosed. In particular, in refrigerators, ozone water is generated by the electrolytic action of the ozone generating electrode, made into a fine mist, and supplied into the refrigerator compartment together with cold air, thereby keeping the refrigerator compartment clean by the sterilization and deodorization of ozone water, It is expected to prevent odors from being transferred and to delay the decay of food.
However, ammonia, which is the main odor substance of fecal odor and urine odor, is a relatively stable substance due to its strong binding energy, and is therefore not easily decomposed by ozone. When it is decomposed by ozone, it becomes a reaction of the following formula, and it is necessary to consume two ozone molecules simultaneously with one ammonia molecule. Therefore, a fairly limited and high concentration of ozone is essential.
On the other hand, if the indoor ozone concentration becomes high, an environment that is harmful to the human body is caused. Therefore, Patent Document 3 discloses a conditioned air processing apparatus having a discharge element that generates ozone in a range where the indoor ozone concentration is 50 ppb or less. Is provided.
However, as mentioned above, it is difficult to decompose Ammona, which is a stable substance, unless it is at a very high concentration of ozone, so the ozone supply to a room where people are present must be below a low concentration that is harmless to the human body. In addition, ammonia deodorization by ozone spraying in the room is not a realistic method.
Further, in Patent Document 4, by installing a negative ion / ozone generator on the ceiling, negative ions / ozone can be efficiently diffused indoors without using a fan or a motor.
Patent Document 5 discloses a sterilization / deodorization apparatus that generates ions / ozone and ion wind by corona discharge and introduces ions and ozone into a space where an object to be sterilized / deodorized is arranged without using a fan. ing.
However, when active species, ions, and ozone generated by plasma are released into the air and come into contact with odorous substances and airborne bacteria in the air, deodorizing and sterilizing effects are also expected due to decomposition of odorous substances and killing airborne bacteria. In reality, active species and ions dispersed in the air are considered to have a very low probability of coming into contact with odorous substances and airborne bacteria, and there are many products that have not been demonstrated in a wide general living space.
In patent document 6, air containing ions and ozone is directly introduced into a sealed box in which the object of off-flavor exists in a sealed box such as a diaper used for nursing. By pressurizing the inside of the sealed box, it is possible to sterilize and deodorize every corner of the sealed box.
However, these sealed boxes have no problem as long as they have a fairly high degree of sealing, but the boxes for trash and garbage storage, such as actual used diapers, will emit a bad odor even if they are not open. Is a big problem. In particular, in the case of filth such as used diapers, there is a case where the filth is put in an expensive deodorizing bag and discarded into a sealed box. Moreover, in order to prevent bacterial infection from contaminated linen, the contaminated linen etc. to which the contaminated material adhered are put into a plastic bag separately, and it takes time and effort to tie the opening firmly. In addition, odors such as residual odors from cargoes are also a problem for container boxes and truck carrier boxes used in overseas and domestic transportation.
Therefore, pressurizing and introducing air containing ions / ozone into a box with a poor sealing degree of the sealed box may further emit a strange odor / bad odor that cannot be completely deodorized.
According to Patent Document 7, the discharge surface of an ion generating element that generates ions by discharge plasma is inclined, so that the air flowing in contact with the discharge surface is directed parallel to the flow path. The amount of generated ions is increased, and the sterilizing effect is improved when released into the air.
However, in Non-Patent Document 1, the effects of virus inactivation and sterilization on three types of commercially available electrical products that are considered to bring about virus inactivation and sterilization effects by releasing special substances such as ions into the air. The results show that the bactericidal effect can hardly be expected when these appliances are used in a wide space such as a normal living space. In a very small space, a certain amount of bactericidal action was observed for a limited number of certain bacteria, but they were also released at the same time rather than special substances released by the device. It is suspected to be involved in the bactericidal effect of ozone.
The conventional techniques as described above have the following problems.
In other words, short-lived active species generated by discharge plasma must be released into the air and expected to come into contact with odorous substances and airborne bacteria in the air, and active species cannot be effectively used for deodorization and sterilization This is a time-consuming passive deodorization and sterilization technology.
Moreover, an effective solution for ammonia, which is the main odor substance of urine odor and fecal odor, has not been proposed, and the sterilization effect has not been sufficiently verified by the release method to the air.
The present invention has been made in view of the circumstances as described above, and by effectively utilizing appropriate active species generated by discharge plasma, it can efficiently react with the organic matter of a harmful hardly decomposable substance, It is an object of the present invention to provide an organic decomposition method and apparatus that can decompose odorous substances at a high speed, and that is also effective for sterilization of airborne bacteria.

The present invention is characterized by the following in order to solve the above problems.
That is, the organic decomposition method of the present invention introduces a gas containing an organic substance and a mixed gas containing at least nitrogen or a nitrogen compound as a discharge gas into a plasma region generated by atmospheric pressure glow discharge, It is characterized by decomposing.
In the method for decomposing organic matter of the invention, the organic matter is preferably an odorous substance or airborne bacteria.
In the organic decomposition method of the present invention, the odorous substance is at least one of trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and ammonia, and the ratio of nitrogen or nitrogen compound in the discharge gas is 70% or more. Is preferable because it contributes to the generation of nitrogen-active species having a high concentration and high reactivity.
In the organic decomposition method of the present invention, the odorous substance is preferably ammonia that is effective for decomposition by the active species.
The organic decomposition apparatus of the present invention is an organic decomposition apparatus, comprising a discharge electrode and a counter electrode, a plasma region, a gas containing an organic substance, and a gas introduction port for a discharge gas containing at least nitrogen or a nitrogen compound, and A reactor having a gas exhaust port and a power supply device for applying a discharge voltage between the discharge electrode and the counter electrode, and generating a glow discharge continuously or intermittently between the discharge electrode and the counter electrode The organic substance is decomposed before the discharge gas is introduced into the plasma region from the gas introduction port and discharged from the exhaust port.
In the organic decomposition apparatus of the said invention, it is preferable that the said organic substance is an odor substance or a floating microbe.
In the organic decomposition apparatus of the present invention, it is preferable that a supply device for continuously introducing the discharge gas is provided upstream or downstream of the gas inlet.
In the organic decomposition apparatus of the present invention, it is preferable that a metal compound catalyst or filter for adsorbing or decomposing harmful components generated by the decomposition of the organic substance is provided downstream of the gas exhaust port. .
In the organic decomposition apparatus according to the invention, the metal compound catalyst and the filter may be manganese dioxide, nickel oxide, iron oxide, cobalt carbonate, nickel carbonate, copper carbonate, nickel, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, activated carbon. Preferably, at least one of them is included.
Moreover, in the organic decomposition apparatus of the said invention, it is preferable that a suction duct hood or a container is provided at the gas inlet, and the periphery of the suction duct hood or the inside of the container is decompressed.
In the organic decomposition apparatus of the present invention, it is preferable that a discharge duct hood or a container is provided at the gas discharge port, and a gas in which organic matter is decomposed is supplied to the periphery of the duct hood or the container.
According to the present invention, a gas containing odorous substances and airborne bacteria is directly introduced into plasma, and high-energy particles such as radicals and excited atoms / molecules, which are active species generated by the plasma, are collided to break chemical bonds. The odor substance is decomposed. Also, when high-energy radical species collide with the cell walls and cell membranes of planktonic bacteria, the energy breaks the bonds of carbon and oxygen in the fat and protein that make up the cell walls and cell membranes, and sterilizes them by decomposing and destroying them. Yes. In particular, the active species rich in reactivity generated by the discharge plasma have a fast reaction and a very short life of 1 μs to 1 ms. By directly introducing odorous substances and suspended bacteria, which are organic substances to be decomposed, into the plasma, An active species having a high concentration and high reactivity can be collided with the organic matter, and for the first time, it can be decomposed in a short time.
Therefore, deodorizing and sterilization that takes time to deodorize and sterilize by expecting contact with odorous substances and airborne bacteria in the air by releasing short-lived active species and ions generated by discharge plasma as in the past Rather, it is possible to realize a technique for forcibly sucking off odorous substances and airborne bacteria and decomposing and deodorizing and sterilizing them in a short time with active species having a high concentration and high reactivity.
FIG. 1 is a side sectional view of an organic decomposition apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The organic decomposition apparatus is a plasma in which a discharge electrode 1a having a thin electrode rod disposed at the center of a quartz tube 1c, which is a dielectric, and a ground electrode 1b in which a copper thin film is wound and bonded to the outer periphery of the quartz tube 1c are provided. A reactor 1 and a plasma generating power source 2 connected to both electrodes are provided.
The material of the discharge electrode 1a is not particularly limited as long as it is a material having good conductivity and resistance. For example, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, tungsten, graphite (carbon), or the like can be used. Of these, stainless steel can be particularly preferably used. Moreover, since the discharge start voltage can be lowered as the thickness of the discharge electrode 1a is thinner, the wire diameter is preferably 0.1 to 0.9 mm in consideration of the durability.
Further, a copper thin film is wound around and adhered to the outer peripheral region of the quartz tube 1c to form the ground electrode 1b. The length for winding the thin film is not particularly limited, but normally about 100 mm is considered in the longitudinal direction. As another method of forming the copper thin film as the ground electrode 1b, for example, there is a method of roughening the surface of a quartz tube and electrolessly plating the surface. In addition to the quartz tube, ceramic can also be used.
When a mixed gas of ammonia and nitrogen is used as the discharge gas, the quartz tube 1c preferably has a tube inner diameter of 4 to 11 mm and an outer diameter of about 6 to 13 mm.
As the plasma generating power source 2, a high voltage AC power source is used to generate the plasma 3 by dielectric barrier discharge, and the frequency is preferably 1 to 100 kHz or more.
FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the reactor unit. In the present embodiment, eight plasma reactors 1 are inserted into the plasma reactor holding plate 1e to form a plasma reactor unit. The plasma reactor holding plate 1e is provided with an inflow hole for allowing a discharge gas to pass through the inserted plasma reactor 1.
A high voltage AC power source, which is a plasma generating power source 2, is connected to the discharge electrodes 1a and the ground electrodes 1b of the eight plasma reactors 1, and plasma is generated in the eight plasma reactors 1 by dielectric barrier discharge. It has become.
Dielectric barrier discharge can be prevented from shifting to arc discharge by placing a dielectric such as quartz or ceramic between the electrodes, and is preferable as discharge for maintaining glow discharge.
Glow discharge is a discharge that is rich in spatial uniformity of plasma and contains a lot of chemically active species. For example, the discharge is maintained uniformly in the space without arc dislocation like dielectric barrier discharge. All discharge forms are atmospheric pressure non-equilibrium plasma.
By using glow discharge, it is possible to solve the problem that the active species having a short life could not be efficiently utilized by releasing the active species having an extremely short chemical reaction of 1 μs to 1 ms into the air. By introducing a gas containing odorous substances and airborne bacteria directly into the plasma region as a discharge gas, the active species with short-lived reactivity generated in the plasma region are efficiently decomposed and sterilized. Can be contributed to.
Further, the plasma reactor holding plate 1e is provided with an inflow hole for allowing discharge gas to pass through the inserted plasma reactor, and the inflow hole provided on the opposite surface where the plasma reactor is inserted is provided. It is preferable to provide a taper for reducing resistance loss when the discharge gas flows.
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, it is preferable to install a fan 4 for forcibly sending the discharge gas into the plasma reactor 1 at the upper or lower portion of the organic decomposition apparatus. By providing the fan 4, odorous substances in a wide living space can be decomposed and the deodorizing time can be shortened, and a large amount of gas flows between both electrodes of the plasma reactor 1 to efficiently release heat. Can do. In particular, since the transition to arc discharge is mainly caused by thermal ionization, it is desirable to have a structure that efficiently releases heat.
In addition, when there is a risk that harmful components generated when the discharge gas is decomposed by the organic decomposition device may deteriorate the performance of the blower device such as the fan 4, the fan 4 should be installed on the upper portion of the gas decomposition device. Is preferred. Furthermore, it is preferable to install a prefilter for filtration above the organic decomposing apparatus in order to prevent foreign matters from entering the organic decomposing apparatus.
As shown in FIG. 4, a filter for adsorbing harmful components generated by the decomposition process of the discharge gas or a catalyst 5 for the decomposition process is installed in the lower part of the organic decomposition apparatus.
When a harmful gas such as an odorous substance is decomposed as a discharge gas, the newly generated gas is not all harmed by the decomposed gas, so in order to treat a gas that has not been harmed, It is preferable to provide a filter that adsorbs them or a catalyst 5 that decomposes them. Here, in consideration of replacement of the filter, it is preferable to install a catalyst.
In particular, in the present invention, a mixed gas of an organic substance and nitrogen or a nitrogen compound is used as a discharge gas. When oxygen or an oxygen compound is contained in addition to the discharge gas, ozone having a high oxidizing power is generated, and the ozone When is released as it is, it is possible to prevent adverse effects on the device and the human body.
In the present invention, as a discharge gas, by introducing a mixed gas of organic substance and nitrogen or nitrogen compound of 70% or more into the plasma region, excited nitrogen atoms which are active species having a high reactivity generated in the plasma region, Use molecules.
Examples of organic substances that can be decomposed by the organic decomposition apparatus of the present invention include odorous substances and airborne bacteria. Examples of odorous substances include trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and ammonia. At least one of bacteria, fungi (mold spores, etc.) can be decomposed. Moreover, in the discharge gas containing these, it is preferable that the ratio of nitrogen or nitrogen compound in the discharge gas is 70% or more.
Thereby, in particular, it is possible to facilitate decomposition of odorous substances such as trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and ammonia, which are designated as “four great odors” by the malodor control method.
In particular, ammonia is a substance with a binding energy that is more stable than trimethylamine, hydrogen sulfide, and methyl mercaptan, and in order to break the bond, energy that is higher than the binding energy is required and it is difficult to decompose harmful substances. However, by specifying the discharge gas as a gas in which 70% or more of nitrogen or nitrogen compound is mixed, it is possible to effectively utilize excited nitrogen which is an active species generated by plasma and has high decomposition ability Can do.
The energy required for ammonia decomposition must be greater than the difference between the standard enthalpy of formation of NH 3 (−45.95 kJ / mol) and NH 2 (190.37 kJ / mol), and excited nitrogen has an energy higher than that. Therefore, it can be decomposed, and the existence of the excited nitrogen for 1 to 2 seconds also contributes effectively.
The present inventors use a plasma jet that can irradiate the plasma generated in the reactor by pressurizing the discharge gas to the outside of the reactor, and is attached to the petri dish without or without plasma irradiation to the petri dish. We found a difference in the growth of bacteria and verified the bactericidal effect.
That is, sterilization is possible by introducing a gas in which suspended bacteria are present in the plasma region generated in the plasma reactor, instead of in the form of a plasma jet that takes the plasma out of the plasma reactor. In particular, when excited nitrogen or radical species with high decomposing ability collide with the cell walls and cell membranes of planktonic bacteria, the bonds are cut off by removing electrons from the carbon and oxygen bonds that compose them. There is an effect of sterilization such as decomposition.
In the present invention, a mixed gas of organic substance and nitrogen or a nitrogen compound is used as a discharge gas. When oxygen or an oxygen compound is contained in addition to the discharge gas, the oxygen or the oxygen compound is converted into oxygen by an organic decomposition apparatus. Molecules dissociate and oxygen atoms are generated, but the oxygen atoms and oxygen molecules react to generate ozone (O 3 ). Since the binding energy of ozone is lower than that of oxygen molecules and nitrogen molecules, ozone is easily decomposed.
Since the ozone has a high oxidizing power, it may adversely affect equipment such as the fan 4. It may also be harmful to the human body.
Therefore, metal having a catalytic function for decomposing ozone, such as manganese dioxide, nickel oxide, iron oxide, copper oxide, cobalt carbonate, nickel carbonate, copper carbonate, nickel, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, etc. Yes, it is preferable to use activated carbon or the like as the filter. Further, as the catalyst structure, a honeycomb or corrugated structure is preferable as a structure capable of exhibiting excellent performance as a catalyst because the pressure loss is reduced and the surface area is very large.
In addition, when installing ventilation means, such as the fan 4, in an organic decomposition device, it is preferable to install in the lower part of this catalyst or the filter 5, or to install in the upper part of an organic decomposition device.
Moreover, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, the duct hood 6 is installed in the inlet which is an upper part of the organic decomposition apparatus. By installing the duct hood 6 near the odor substance generation source, it is possible to suck local odor substances and airborne bacteria by the fan 4.
As a result, not only general living spaces, but also odorous substances and airborne bacteria are locally sucked in by a fan from a hood installed near the space where odorous substance sources and airborne bacteria exist, and transported by a duct to decompose organic matter. It is possible to deodorize and sterilize with the device, and it is possible to solve mental distress and unsanitary environment with great smell in nursing such as changing diapers. In addition, as a method of connecting the organic decomposition apparatus and the container, an organic decomposition apparatus is installed on the outer peripheral wall of the container, a hole is formed in the container, and a connection is made with a gas inlet of the organic decomposition apparatus using a duct or the like. There is a method to install the decomposition device in the container, and make a hole in the container and connect it to the discharge port of the organic decomposition device by a duct, etc., but suction and discharge can also be performed directly from the container opening without using a hole in the container. Is possible. In particular, it is preferable to provide a lid on the container because the inside of the container can be easily decompressed.
As a result, if the airtightness is not maintained, the bad odor and germs that are emitted to the surrounding area have become a serious problem, but even if the airtightness is low, This makes it possible to solve serious problems such as urine odors, stool odors, and bacterial contamination such as storage of used diapers and portable toilets as well as storage boxes for garbage and garbage.
That is, it is possible to disassemble and deodorize odorous substances at the time of diaper replacement work for care recipients or infants by installing them on the side of a nursing bed or infant bed. Thereby, every time the diaper is exchanged, a bad odor is emitted, so that the burden on the caregiver and the surroundings and uncomfortable feelings as well as unsanitary problems can be solved.
In addition, when working such as changing diapers, it is preferable to locally cover the work periphery with a transparent cover or the like and connect it to the duct hood 6 to prevent further odors from diffusing to the periphery.
In addition, by installing an organic decomposing device on the outer surface of the container containing the odorous substance, connecting the container and the organic decomposing apparatus, and sucking the gas containing the odorous substance and floating bacteria in the container, The inside of the container in which the odorous substance and airborne bacteria are stored is decompressed, and leakage of the odorous substance and airborne bacteria from the container to the surroundings can be prevented. In particular, the present invention that can effectively deodorize ammonia, which is the main odor substance of urine odor and fecal odor, can solve serious problems such as storage of used diapers and portable toilets. The container is preferably provided with a lid.
In addition to this, by installing gas decomposition and sterilization equipment inside or outside the truck box or truck, etc., the odorous substance decomposed and sterilized gas can be exhausted through the exhaust port, so that the cargo box and car interior It is possible to deodorize and sterilize.
As shown in FIG. 6, the duct hood 6 is installed in the discharge port which is the lower part of gas decomposition and sterilization. By installing the duct hood 6 near a bedridden elderly person who is debilitating, it is possible to provide a sanitary favorable environment in which the narrow space is sterilized.
Thereby, it becomes possible to make the narrow space near the respiratory system of the care recipient who is debilitating into a sterilized environment. In addition, it is possible to provide a non-brominated environment around the sensory organ that controls the sense of smell of an operator who works in an odorous environment.
<実施例1>
Hereinafter, the decomposition method of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
<Example 1>
As shown in FIG. 7, an organic decomposition apparatus provided with a plasma reactor 1, a discharge gas introduction device 7, a plasma generation power source 2, and a gas treatment measuring device 8 was prepared. The plasma reactor 1 has a discharge electrode 1a by inserting an electrode of φ0.6 mm in the center of a quartz tube having an outer diameter of 6 mm and an inner diameter of 4 mm, and a copper thin film is applied to an area of the outer periphery of the quartz tube of 80 mm. Electrode 1b was obtained.
The discharge gas introduction device 7 is provided with a mixed gas cylinder of nitrogen gas and odorous substance gas and a nitrogen gas cylinder, and individual flow rate control is possible by providing individual mass flow controllers in separate pipes. Further, these pipes were connected and connected to the gas inlet 9 of the plasma reactor as a discharge gas.
The plasma generation power source was an AC high voltage power source, connected to the discharge electrode 1a and the ground electrode 1b, and plasma was generated by dielectric barrier discharge. The AC voltage was 13 kV · 10 kHz.
The gas treatment measuring instrument 8 uses a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) and connects it to a gas exhaust port 10 for exhausting the gas treated in the plasma reactor, so that the substance treated with the plasma can be obtained. The gas decomposition treatment effect can be determined by performing qualitative and quantitative analysis.
First, the gas decomposition treatment apparatus shown in FIG. 7 was prepared, and ammonia was used as the odor substance of the discharge gas introducing device. Glow discharge was generated in the quartz tube by the dielectric barrier discharge, and qualitative / quantitative analysis was performed on gas substances treated without discharge in three levels of 97 ppm, 140 ppm, and 190 ppm in the plasma region. In addition, about the ammonia concentration, the spectrum of ammonia is measured by FT-IR, and the concentration is calculated by the integrated value, and the average discharge gas flow velocity in the quartz tube is 1.3 m / s.
FIG. 8 shows the FT-IR spectrum before the gas decomposition treatment when the ammonia concentration is 97 ppm, and FIG. 9 shows the FT-IR spectrum after the gas decomposition treatment.
FIG. 10 and Table 1 show the results before and after the gas decomposition treatment with ammonia concentrations of 97 ppm, 140 ppm, and 190 ppm.
Further, since the average flow velocity in the quartz tube as the plasma reactor is 1.3 m / s, the residence time of the ammonia substance in the plasma region in the quartz tube is 62 ms (τ = 80 mm (the length of the barrier discharge region). ) /1.3 m / s (discharge gas average flow velocity) = 62 ms). Therefore, in order to obtain a further ammonia decomposition effect, the average flow rate is preferably set to 1.3 m / s or less.
<実施例2>
<Example 2>
First, the gas decomposition treatment apparatus of Example 2 of the present invention was installed in a sealed space (volume 0.16 m 3 ). The gas decomposition processing apparatus of Example 2 includes a plasma reactor, a blower for introducing discharge gas into the plasma reactor, and a plasma generation power source. In the plasma reactor, a discharge electrode is formed by inserting an electrode of φ0.6 mm in the center of a quartz tube having an outer diameter of 8 mm and an inner diameter of 6 mm, and a copper thin film is applied to an area of 100 mm on the outer periphery of the quartz tube. Two plasma reactors are installed.
A blower for introducing a discharge gas into a quartz tube, which is a plasma reactor, has a structure capable of blowing an air volume of 0.03 m 3 / min to two quartz tubes. The plasma generation power source is an AC high voltage power source, and is connected to the discharge electrode and the ground electrode so as to generate plasma by dielectric barrier discharge. The AC voltage is 13 kV and 10 kHz.
The sealed space was filled with 70% nitrogen, 30% oxygen, and 150 ppm ammonia as an odor substance as a discharge gas, and the transition of the ammonia decomposition treatment in the gas decomposition treatment apparatus of Example 2 was confirmed. The ammonia concentration was measured with a detector tube.

As Comparative Example 1, Plasma Cluster IG-GK100-H manufactured by Sharp Corporation was used. As Comparative Example 2, Ion Cluster IPM-101C manufactured by Arc Renaissance Co., Ltd. was used.
In Comparative Example 1, the dehumidifying function was turned off at a processing air volume of 1.9 m 3 / min, and Comparative Example 2 was tested at a processing air volume of 0.9 m 3 / min. Table 2 shows the results of comparative experiments between the gas decomposition treatment apparatus of the present invention of Example 2 and two types of commercially available deodorizing equipment.
It was confirmed that the gas decomposition treatment apparatus of Example 2 had a high ammonia decomposition rate despite the small amount of treatment air compared with the commercially available deodorizing devices of Comparative Examples 1 and 2.
