Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 患者に吸入薬を投与するための、呼吸トリガ・ネブライザーであって、
前記ネブライザーは、気道と、横軸と、縦軸とを有し、
a.上部チャンバの気道を画定する水平方向に配向した円筒状の本体と、
b.内部に薬剤溶液を含有し前記縦軸を定義する液体リザーバを有する垂直方向に配向した下部チャンバと、
c.ガスジェットと流体連通する加圧ガス導入口と、
d.前記ガス導入口を囲みまたは隣接し、液体オリフィスと流体連通する液体流路であって、前記ガスジェットは前記液体オリフィスと隣接し、前記ガスジェットは垂直方向に配向する前記液体流路と、
e.前記ガスジェットから所定の距離に第1の位置を含み、前記液体流路内に圧力差を生じて前記液体流路から前記薬剤溶液を引き出し、前記ガスジェットと前記液体オリフィスの相互作用によって前記薬剤溶液の噴霧を引き起こす水平移動バッフルと、を備え、
f.前記バッフルは、前記ガスジェットから離隔し前記液体流路に液体を引き出すには前記圧力差が不十分であって前記液体の噴霧が発生しない位置である、初期設定の第2の位置を有し、
g.前記バッフルの動きは、前記ガスジェットに対して固定された垂直距離で、前記第1の位置と前記第2の位置の間の水平流路によって制御され、
h.前記バッフルは、前記患者の吸入によって前記第2の位置から前記第1の位置へ移動し、前記バッフルは、前記患者が吸入していないときには、前記第2の位置へ移動し、
i.霧状の前記薬剤溶液は、前記患者によって吸入されることにより、前記患者の肺に提供される、
ことを特徴とする呼吸トリガ・ネブライザー。 - 吸入マスクが前記ネブライザーに接続され、吸入中、霧状の前記薬剤溶液が前記吸入マスクを通じて送られる、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- マウスピースが前記ネブライザーに接続され、吸入中、霧状の前記薬剤溶液が前記マウスピースを通じて送られる、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記バッフルが前記第1の位置から前記第2の位置に移動するとき、音声信号が生成される、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記音声信号は、側部カバーの一部と接触するトリガによって生成されるクリック音である、請求項2に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記ガスジェットと前記液体オリフィスが同一平面上にある、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記液体オリフィスは、前記液体流路の上部に1つまたはそれ以上の穴を備える、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記液体オリフィスは、前記ガスジェットと同心関係の同心管状の開口部を含む、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記バッフルは、0.5L/minから15L/minまでの範囲の吸入流速に応答する、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 上部チャンバ内に外気が入ることを可能にする、呼吸の際に開放する弁を備える、噴霧化および吸入を改善する呼吸強化バルブシステム。
- 前記上部チャンバ内に外気が入ることを可能にする、吸入の際に開放する弁を備える、噴霧化および吸入を改善する呼吸強化バルブシステムを更に備える、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記気道と流体連通し、呼気弁が前記気道上に存在する、吸入マスク又はマウスピースを更に備える、請求項1に記載のネブライザー。
- 前記呼気弁は、前記ネブライザーから排出された略すべての呼気薬剤をとらえるフィルタを有する、請求項12に記載のマスクを備えたネブライザー。
- 請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載のネブライザーにより患者に吸入される薬剤を投与する方法。
