Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to a transparent conductor and a touch panel using the same.
The transparent conductor is used as a transparent electrode for a display such as a liquid crystal display (LCD), a plasma display panel (PDP), and an electroluminescence panel (organic EL, inorganic EL), and a solar cell. In addition to these, they are also used for electromagnetic wave shielding films and infrared ray prevention films. As a material for the metal oxide layer in the transparent conductor, ITO in which tin (Sn) is added to indium oxide (In 2 O 3 ) is widely used.
In recent years, terminals equipped with a touch panel such as smartphones and tablet terminals are rapidly spreading. These have the structure which provided the touch sensor part on the liquid crystal panel, and provided the cover glass on the outermost surface. The touch sensor unit is configured by bonding one or two glass films or a film base material on which one or both surfaces of an ITO film are formed by sputtering.
With the increase in the size of touch panels and the high accuracy of touch sensor functions, there is a demand for transparent conductors having high transmittance and low resistance. In order to reduce the resistance of the transparent conductor using the ITO film, it is necessary to increase the thickness of the ITO film or to crystallize the ITO film by thermal annealing. However, when the ITO film is thickened, the transmittance is lowered. Also, it is usually difficult to thermally anneal the film substrate at a high temperature. For this reason, in the case of the ITO film | membrane provided on the film base material, it was in the difficult situation to make resistance low, maintaining a high transmittance | permeability.
Under such circumstances, a transparent conductive film having a laminated structure of a metal oxide layer mainly composed of zinc oxide and a metal layer has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 1).
In applications such as a touch panel, a transparent conductive film is patterned into a conductive portion and an insulating portion to detect a touched position. For this reason, in the transparent conductor which has a laminated structure of a metal oxide layer and a metal layer, it is calculated | required that a metal oxide layer and a metal layer can be removed collectively by an etching.
In the patterning process, a resist is used to form a pattern, and finally the resist is stripped. In this resist stripping, an alkaline solution is used. Therefore, in order to perform patterning, the metal oxide layer is required to be compatible with being capable of being etched by being dissolved in an acid and being resistant to alkali not being dissolved in an alkali.
However, zinc oxide is a material that reacts and dissolves in both acids and alkalis, and it is difficult to achieve both acid solubility and alkali resistance in conventional metal oxides based on zinc oxide. Met. Furthermore, the metal oxide needs to have acid solubility, sufficient alkali resistance, and sufficient conductivity.
Therefore, in a laminated structure of a metal oxide layer mainly composed of zinc oxide and a metal layer, the metal oxide layer and the metal layer are removed by etching together, sufficient alkali resistance, and excellent conductivity. It was a problem that it was difficult to achieve both.
Therefore, in the present disclosure, in a transparent conductor having a laminated structure of a metal oxide layer containing zinc oxide as a main component and a metal layer, the metal oxide layer and the metal layer can be easily removed by etching. In addition, the present disclosure provides a touch panel that can be easily manufactured by using such a transparent conductor.

According to the present disclosure, in a transparent conductor having a laminated structure of a metal oxide layer containing zinc oxide as a main component and a metal layer, the metal oxide layer and the metal layer can be easily removed by etching. Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same or equivalent elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions are omitted in some cases.

“Transparent” in the present specification means that visible light is transmitted, and the light may be scattered to some extent. Regarding the degree of light scattering, the required level varies depending on the use of the
It does not specifically limit as the transparent

The
Dimensional change rate (%) = 100 × (L-Lo) / Lo
When the rate of dimensional change (%) is positive, it indicates that it has expanded by heat treatment, and when it is negative, it indicates that it has shrunk by heat treatment. The dimensional change rate of the biaxially stretched

The second
Here, in the second
In the second
In the second
The second
The first

(Evaluation of transparent conductor 101)
The etching characteristics were evaluated by the following procedure. First, a PAN-based etching solution containing phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and nitric acid was prepared. Etching was performed by immersing the transparent conductor of each example in this etching solution at room temperature for 1 minute. Then, the total light transmittance measurement was performed and it was determined whether the 1st metal oxide layer, the metal layer, and the 2nd metal oxide layer were melt | dissolved. Specifically, when the total light transmittance of the sample after etching coincided with the total light transmittance of only the transparent resin substrate, it was determined as “A”, and when it did not coincide, “B” was determined. The total light transmittance (transmittance) was measured using a haze meter (trade name: NDH-7000, manufactured by Nippon Denshoku Industries Co., Ltd.). The evaluation results are as shown in Table 1.
Moreover, alkali resistance was evaluated by the following procedures. A KOH solution having a concentration of 3 wt% was prepared. The transparent conductor of each example was immersed in this alkaline solution for 2 minutes at room temperature. Then, the total light transmittance measurement was performed and it was determined whether the 1st metal oxide layer, the metal layer, and the 2nd metal oxide layer were melt | dissolved. Specifically, it was determined as “A” when the total light transmittance of the sample after immersion in the alkaline solution was the same as the total light transmittance before immersion, and “B” when it was not. The total light transmittance (transmittance) was measured using a haze meter (trade name: NDH-7000, manufactured by Nippon Denshoku Industries Co., Ltd.). The evaluation results are as shown in Table 1.
The surface resistance of each example was measured using a 4-terminal resistivity meter (trade name: Loresta GP, manufactured by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation). The results are shown in Table 1. In Table 1, “surface resistance (1)” is a surface resistance value before storing the transparent conductor in an environment of 85 ° C. and 85% RH (relative humidity 85%) for 50 hours. ")" Is the surface resistance value after storage in the above environment.
After storing the transparent conductor of each Example in an environment of 85 ° C. and 85% RH, the storage stability was evaluated visually. When white turbidity was observed in the transparent conductor, it was determined as “B”, and when it was not observed as “A”. The results were as shown in Table 1.
As shown in Table 1, in all Examples, the evaluation of etching characteristics and alkali resistance was “A”. From this, it was confirmed that the metal oxide layer and the metal layer in the transparent conductors of Examples 1 to 13 can be easily removed and have excellent alkali resistance. In the transparent conductors of Examples 12 and 13, the total light transmittance was slightly low, but this was because the absorptance increased because the content of In 2 O 3 was high. However, with this total light transmittance, a very high level of transparency is not required. For example, if it is used for a noise sheet or the like (for example, a noise shield), it is a sufficiently usable level.
In order to evaluate the characteristics of the metal oxide layer, a sample of only the metal oxide layer (single layer) was prepared in the same manner as described above. This sample was evaluated in the same manner as described above. The evaluation results are shown in Table 2. In addition, the absorptance of Table 2 is a value obtained by the equation of 100−transmittance−reflectance = absorbance using the measurement results of transmittance and reflectance measured using a spectroscope. This absorptance is a value at a wavelength of 380 nm.
As shown in Table 2, the metal oxide layer of each example contains ZnO as a main component, but contains In 2 O 3 and TiO 2 as subcomponents, and has a predetermined TiO 2 content. It was confirmed that the improvement of corrosion resistance and alkali resistance and high conductivity can be achieved at the same time. Further, it was confirmed that the absorptance was sufficiently low when the contents of ZnO and In 2 O 3 were set within a suitable range.
[Examples 14 to 24]
The composition of the target when producing the metal layer was changed, and as shown in Table 3, the composition of the metal layer was changed and / or the thickness of the metal layer was changed as in Example 1. Thus, a transparent conductor was produced. That is, in Examples 14-20, the thickness of the metal layer was changed. In Example 21, the metal layer was formed using an AgNdCu (Ag: Nd: Cu = 99.0: 0.5: 0.5 (mass%)) target. In Example 22, the metal layer was formed using an AgInSn (Ag: In: Sn = 99.0: 0.5: 0.5 (mass%)) target. In Example 23, a metal layer was formed using an AgSnSb (Ag: Sn: Sb = 99.0: 0.5: 0.5 (mass%)) target. In Example 24, the metal layer was formed using an AgCu (Ag: Cu = 99.5: 0.5 (mass%)) target.
The produced transparent conductors of Examples 14 to 24 were evaluated in the same manner as in Example 1. The evaluation results are as shown in Table 3. In addition, the composition and thickness of the metal oxide layers of Examples 14 to 24 are the same as those of Example 1.
From the results shown in Table 3, the evaluation of etching characteristics and alkali resistance was “A” in any of the examples. From this, it was confirmed that the metal oxide layer and the metal layer in the transparent conductors of Examples 14 to 24 can be easily removed and have excellent alkali resistance. Moreover, the tendency for surface resistance to become small and the tendency for total light transmittance to fall was confirmed when the thickness of the metal layer became large. In addition, when the silver alloy contains Pd, it was confirmed that the storage stability is particularly excellent.
