Claims (26)
- 下部基板、上部基板、及び前記下部基板と前記上部基板との間に形成された液晶層とを含む表示パネルと、
光を照射する光源と、
前記光源からの光を前記表示パネルに分散するガラス導光板と、
前記下部基板と前記ガラス導光板とを接着する第1接着部材と、を具備する液晶表示装置。 - 前記下部基板及び前記上部基板は、ガラスで形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1接着部材は、ガラスフリットであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1接着部材は、両面接着フィルムまたは両面クッションテープであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記表示パネルと前記導光板との間に配置される複数の光学フィルムをさらに具備し、
前記接着部材の厚さは、前記複数の光学フィルムの厚さと同一であるかまたは前記複数の光学フィルムの厚さより厚いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記下部基板に対面する前記ガラス導光板の第1面に形成された出光パターンをさらに具備することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記下部基板に対面する前記ガラス導光板の第1面に配置された透明層をさらに具備することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記下部基板に対面する前記ガラス導光板の第1面の反対面である第2面に配置された反射層をさらに具備することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記反射層は、銀、アルミニウム、パラジウム、銅、または前記アルミニウム、パラジウム及び銅の合金層で形成された第1反射膜を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記反射層は、前記第1反射膜と前記ガラス導光板との間に形成される第2反射膜または第3反射膜のうち少なくともいずれか一つをさらに含み、
前記第2反射膜は、第1屈折率を有し、
前記第3反射膜は、前記第1屈折率とは異なる屈折率を有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1接着部材は樹脂を含み、
前記樹脂はシリコン、エポキシ、及び、アクリル樹脂のうち少なくともいずれか一つを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。 - ガラス導光板に複数の出光パターンを形成し、
前記ガラス導光板に反射層を形成し、
前記ガラス導光板に光源が実装された印刷回路基板を取り付け、
表示パネルの下部基板上に複数の光学フィルムを積層させ、
第1接着部材を利用して前記下部基板と前記ガラス導光板とを接着させること、を含む液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記下部基板は、ガラスで形成されることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。
- 前記ガラス導光板に前記複数の出光パターンを形成することは、
前記下部基板に対面する前記ガラス導光板の第1面に、前記複数の出光パターンを形成すること含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ガラス導光板に前記複数の出光パターンを形成することは、
前記ガラス導光板を洗浄し、
前記ガラス導光板をプラズマ処理し、
インクジェット装置を利用して前記ガラス導光板にUVインクを滴下してUV硬化させること、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ガラス導光板に前記反射層を形成することは、
前記下部基板に対面する前記ガラス導光板の第1面の反対面である第2面に、前記反射層を形成することを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ガラス導光板に前記反射層を形成することは、
前記ガラス導光板に銀、アルミニウム、パラジウム、銅、または前記アルミニウム、パラジウム及び銅の合金層をスパッタして第1反射膜を形成すること、を含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記ガラス導光板に前記反射層を形成することは、
前記ガラス導光板上に第2屈折率を有する第3反射膜を形成し、
前記第3反射膜上に前記第2屈折率と異なる第1屈折率を有する第2反射膜を形成し、及び
前記第2反射膜上に銀、アルミニウム、パラジウム、銅、または前記アルミニウム、パラジウム及び銅の合金層を形成して第1反射膜を形成すること、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項16に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記接着部材を利用して前記下部基板と前記ガラス導光板とを接着することは、
前記下部基板にガラスフリットを塗布し、
前記ガラスフリットを溶融させ、
溶融された前記ガラスフリットに前記ガラス導光板を接合すること、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記接着部材を利用して前記下部基板と前記ガラス導光板とを接着することは、
前記下部基板に両面接着フィルムまたは両面クッションテープの第1接着面を接着させ、
前記両面接着フィルムまたは両面クッションテープの第2接着面に前記ガラス導光板を接着させる、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記接着部材を利用して前記下部基板と前記ガラス導光板とを接着することは、
前記下部基板にシリコン、エポキシ、及びアクリル樹脂のうち少なくともいずれか一つを含む液体状態の接着剤を塗布し、
前記液体状態の接着剤に前記ガラス導光板を接合させ、
前記液体状態の接着剤を硬化させること、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記接着部材の厚さは、前記複数の光学フィルムの厚さと同一であるか、または前記複数の光学フィルムの厚さより厚いことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法。
- 下部基板、上部基板、及び前記下部基板と前記上部基板の間に形成された液晶層を含む表示パネルと、
光を照射する光源と、
前記光源からの光を前記表示パネルに分散するガラス導光板と、
前記表示パネルと接着されて、前記光源と前記ガラス導光板を覆うように形成されたモールドフレームと、
前記表示パネルと前記モールドフレームとを接着する接着部材と、
を具備する液晶表示装置。 - 前記モールドフレームは,
前記表示パネルと前記ガラス導光板との間に挿入された支持部と、
前記支持部から延びて前記ガラス導光板の縁を覆う側面部と、
前記支持部に対面して平行するように前記側面部から延びた底部と、を含み、
前記接着部材は、
前記支持部と前記表示パネルとの間に具備されることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記モールドフレームと前記モールドフレームに接着された前記表示パネルとを収納する収納容器をさらに具備することを特徴とする請求項23に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記収納容器は、
前記モールドフレームが配置される底部と、
前記底部から延びて前記モールドフレームと前記表示パネルとの側面を覆う側面部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項25に記載の液晶表示装置。
