Abstract
Description
この実施例におけるガス燃料供給システムは単一点注入システムであり、各シリンダのための専用注入器を欠いているが、ガス燃料は、ガス燃料供給システムの一部を構成する燃料計量装置40と空気/ガスミキサ42を介して吸気マニホルド34に供給される。燃料計量装置40は、後述するガス燃料制御器70によって要求される回数と量のガス燃料を供給できる電子的に制御される好ましい装置である。1つの好ましい燃料計量装置は、クリーンエアパワーガスインジェクタNo.619625から得られるガス注入器である。空気/ガスミキサ42は例えば米国特許第5,408,978号「ガス燃料エントレイメント方法及び装置」に示されている。燃料計量装置40に対するガス流を制御するための遮断弁と他の装置は当業者にとって既知であり、その詳細は省略する。

Claims (14)
- (A)少くとも空気とガス燃料を含む、過剰空気比(ラムダ)を有する空気/燃料チャージをエンジンに供給し、
(B)i.ラムダを示すパラメータの実際値と上記パラメータの所望値との間の偏差を特定し、
ii.上記偏差を部分的に補償するため、吸気システムの第1要素を制御し、
iii.上記偏差を更に補償するため、吸気システムの第2の要素を制御する
ことを含む、ラムダを制御するため上記吸気システムにおける複数の要素の操作を順次に制御する
ことを含むガス燃料圧縮点火内燃エンジンのための吸気システム内の要素の制御方法。 - 上記第1の要素がターボ空気バイパス弁であり、上記第2の要素が廃棄ゲート弁である請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記第1の要素が廃棄ゲート弁であり、上記第2の要素がターボ空気バイパス弁である請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記第1の要素を、得られる最大値に調節し、上記第1の要素の調節が上記偏差の補償に失敗したときのみ上記第2の要素を調節することを含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 実際のエンジン負荷と実際のエンジン速度をベースとして上記パラメータの所望値を定める請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記吸気システムの上記第2の要素の制御の前後の何れかで、上記偏差を少くとも部分的に補償するため上記吸気システム内の第3の要素を制御することを含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 上記第3の要素がスロットル弁である請求項6記載の方法。
- エンジン燃料の少くとも一部がガス燃料であるとき、上記方法が全速度、全範囲をベースとして成される請求項1記載の方法。
- i.複数のシリンダと、
ii.上記シリンダに、選択された量のガス燃料を供給するガス燃料供給システムと、
iii.上記シリンダに、選択された量の液体燃料を供給する液体燃料供給システムと、
iv.空気の流れを制御する吸気制御システムと、
v.吸気制御システムと、ガス燃料供給システムと、液体燃料供給システムに結合した少くとも1つの制御器と
より成り、
1.ガス燃料と、空気と、液体燃料とより成る、過剰な空気比(ラムダ)を有するチャージを内燃圧縮エンジンに加え、
2.ラムダを示す実際のパラメータ値と所望のパラメータ値間の偏差を特定し、
3.上記偏差を部分的に補償するため上記吸気システムの第1の要素を制御し、
4.上記偏差を更に補償するため上記吸気システムの第2の要素を制御する
内燃エンジン。 - 上記第1の要素がターボ空気バイパス弁であり、上記第2の要素が廃棄ゲート弁である請求項9記載の内燃エンジン。
- 上記第1の要素が廃棄ゲート弁であり、上記第2の要素がターボ空気バイパス弁である請求項9記載の内燃エンジン。
- 上記少くとも1つの制御器が、上記第1の要素を得られる最大値に調節するため操作され、次いで上記第1の要素の調節による上記偏差のための補償が失敗したときのみ上記第2の要素を調節する請求項9記載の内燃エンジン。
- 上記偏差を少くとも部分的に補償するため上記吸気システムの第3の要素を制御するよう、上記第2の要素の制御の後、上記少くとも1つの制御器を操作可能である請求項9記載の内燃エンジン。
- 上記第3の要素がスロットル弁である請求項13記載の内燃エンジン。
