Abstract
Description
本明細書の開示内容は、ディスプレイなどの表面において、外光が反射することを防止することを目的として設けられる反射防止フィルム、その反射防止フィルムを備える表示装置、その反射防止フィルムを備える偏光板およびタッチパネルに関する。 The disclosure of this specification includes an antireflection film provided for the purpose of preventing external light from being reflected on the surface of a display, a display device including the antireflection film, and a polarizing plate including the antireflection film. And a touch panel.
一般にディスプレイは、室内外での使用を問わず、外光などが入射する環境下で使用される。この外光等の入射光は、ディスプレイ表面等において正反射され、それによる反射像が表示画像と混合することにより、画面表示品質を低下させてしまう。そのため、ディスプレイ表面等に反射防止機能を付与することは必須であり、反射防止機能の高性能化が求められている。 In general, a display is used in an environment where external light or the like enters regardless of whether the display is used indoors or outdoors. Incident light such as external light is specularly reflected on the display surface and the like, and the reflected image thereby mixes with the display image, thereby degrading the screen display quality. Therefore, it is essential to provide an antireflection function on the display surface or the like, and there is a demand for higher performance of the antireflection function.
In general, the antireflection function can be obtained by forming a multi-layered antireflection layer having a repeating structure of a high refractive index layer and a low refractive index layer made of a transparent material such as a metal oxide on a transparent support. These antireflection layers having a multilayer structure can be formed by a dry film forming method such as a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method or a physical vapor deposition (PVD) method. In the case of forming an antireflection layer using a dry film formation method, there is an advantage that the film thickness of the low refractive index layer and the high refractive index layer can be precisely controlled, but the film formation is performed in a vacuum. There is a problem that productivity is low and it is not suitable for mass production. On the other hand, as a method for forming an antireflection layer, attention has been focused on production of an antireflection film by a wet film formation method using a coating liquid capable of increasing the area, continuously producing, and reducing the cost.
しかしながら、上記反射防止フィルムは、指紋、皮脂、汗、化粧品などの汚れが付着しやすく、また、付着したそれらの汚れが拭き取りにくく、また、拭き取る際に反射防止フィルム表面に傷が付いてしまうという問題があった。 However, the antireflection film easily adheres dirt such as fingerprints, sebum, sweat, cosmetics, and the attached dirt is difficult to wipe off, and the surface of the antireflection film is damaged when wiped off. There was a problem.
これらの問題の解決を様々な手法を用いて改善を試みている。例としては、低屈折率層の表面エネルギーを制御する手法(特許文献1)が挙げられるが、表面エネルギーの測定や制御が難しく、生産管理などの面を考慮した場合、実際に反射防止に適応することは難しい。 We are trying to improve these problems using various methods. As an example, there is a method for controlling the surface energy of the low refractive index layer (Patent Document 1). However, it is difficult to measure and control the surface energy. Difficult to do.
このような従来技術が抱える課題を解決する手段は、例えば、以下のような反射防止フィルム、その反射防止フィルムを備える表示装置、その反射防止フィルムを備える偏光板により達成される。 Means for solving such problems of the prior art is achieved by, for example, the following antireflection film, a display device including the antireflection film, and a polarizing plate including the antireflection film.
一態様において、次のような反射防止フィルムが提供される。この反射防止フィルムは、透明支持体上にハードコート層と低屈折率層を順に積層した反射防止フィルムであって、低屈折率層表面の金属平滑面に対する静摩擦係数が0.10から0.25の範囲内であることを特徴とする。なお、この低屈折率層は、有機樹脂を含み得る。 In one aspect, the following antireflection film is provided. This antireflection film is an antireflection film in which a hard coat layer and a low refractive index layer are sequentially laminated on a transparent support, and the static friction coefficient of the surface of the low refractive index layer with respect to the metal smooth surface is from 0.10 to 0.25. It is in the range of. This low refractive index layer may contain an organic resin.
一実施形態において、上述の反射防止フィルムの表面粗さRaは、3.0nmより小さくともよい。 In one embodiment, the surface roughness Ra of the antireflection film described above may be smaller than 3.0 nm.
別の実施形態において、上記反射防止フィルム表面での平均視感反射率が0.1%以上1.0%以下の範囲内であってもよい。 In another embodiment, the average luminous reflectance on the surface of the antireflection film may be in the range of 0.1% to 1.0%.
別の態様において、偏光板が提供され、この偏光板は、上述のような反射防止フィルムのいずれかを備える。 In another aspect, a polarizing plate is provided, the polarizing plate comprising any of the antireflection films as described above.
さらに別の態様において、タッチパネルが提供され、このタッチパネルは、反射防止フィルムを備える。 In still another aspect, a touch panel is provided, and the touch panel includes an antireflection film.
本明細書で使用される場合、「タッチパネル」とは、表示面を備え当該表示面に一体的に設けられた検出部を介して入力操作を受け付ける入力装置である。 As used herein, a “touch panel” is an input device that includes a display surface and receives an input operation via a detection unit that is integrally provided on the display surface.
さらに別の態様において、表示装置が提供され、この表示装置は、上述のような反射防止フィルムを備える。 In yet another aspect, a display device is provided, the display device comprising an antireflection film as described above.
As used herein, the term “display device” refers to a terminal device for visual output to the user, which display device, for example, on its display screen. Project an image. Examples of such a display device include a liquid crystal display (LCD), a CRT display, an organic electroluminescence display (ELD), a plasma display (PDP), a surface electric field display (SED), a field emission display (FED), and the like. However, it is not limited to these.
例示的な実施形態において、上記のような反射防止フィルムを、画像表示装置や液晶表示装置に設置することにより、また、そのような反射防止フィルムを用いた偏光板を液晶表示装置の表面に設けることにより、また、該反射防止フィルムをタッチパネルに使用することにより、ディスプレイ表面の外光の反射を抑制することができ、また外傷による反射防止フィルムの劣化を防ぐことができる。 In an exemplary embodiment, the antireflection film as described above is installed in an image display device or a liquid crystal display device, and a polarizing plate using such an antireflection film is provided on the surface of the liquid crystal display device. In addition, by using the antireflection film for a touch panel, reflection of external light on the display surface can be suppressed, and deterioration of the antireflection film due to damage can be prevented.
以下、本明細書において開示される反射防止フィルムについて詳細につき、例示的な内容を参照しつつ説明する。 Hereinafter, the antireflection film disclosed in this specification will be described in detail with reference to exemplary contents.
この反射防止フィルムの構造は、概ね、透明支持体上に、ハードコート層、低屈折率層を順に積層する構造をとる。ここで、この低屈折率層は、その透明支持体及びハードコート層よりも低い屈折率を有している。そして、この低屈折率層表面の金属平滑面に対する静摩擦係数が0.10から0.25までの範囲内であることを特徴とする反射防止フィルムである。 The antireflection film generally has a structure in which a hard coat layer and a low refractive index layer are sequentially laminated on a transparent support. Here, the low refractive index layer has a lower refractive index than the transparent support and the hard coat layer. And the static friction coefficient with respect to the metal smooth surface of this low-refractive-index layer surface is in the range from 0.10 to 0.25, It is an antireflection film characterized by the above-mentioned.
例示的な実施形態において、反射防止フィルムは、低屈折率層表面の金属平滑面に対する静摩擦係数が0.10から0.25までの範囲内であることで、被摩擦体のすべり性が良好となり、反射防止フィルム表面にキズが付きにくくなる。 In the exemplary embodiment, the antireflection film has a low coefficient of static friction with respect to the metal smooth surface of the surface of the low refractive index layer within the range of 0.10 to 0.25, so that the friction property of the object to be rubbed is good. The surface of the antireflection film is hardly scratched.
一実施形態において、その反射防止フィルムの表面粗さRaは、3.0nmより小さくともよい。 In one embodiment, the surface roughness Ra of the antireflection film may be less than 3.0 nm.
上記の反射防止フィルムの表面粗さRaが3.0nm以上であった場合、反射防止フィルム表面の静摩擦係数を0.10から0.25の範囲にすることが難しくなるため、表面粗さRaが3.0nmより小さいことが好ましい。 When the surface roughness Ra of the antireflection film is 3.0 nm or more, it is difficult to make the static friction coefficient of the antireflection film surface in the range of 0.10 to 0.25. It is preferably smaller than 3.0 nm.
一実施形態において、反射防止フィルムの平均視感反射率は、0.1%以上1.0%以下の範囲内であることが好ましい。平均視感反射率が、1.0%以上であった場合、反射防止機能が十分に発揮されない可能性があるためである。また、0.1%以下の平均視感反射率は、反射防止フィルム表面の低屈折率層の膜屈折率を大きく下げなくてはならず、機械強度や防汚性など、その他特性を同時に満たすことが難しくなるため好ましくない。 In one embodiment, the average luminous reflectance of the antireflection film is preferably in the range of 0.1% to 1.0%. This is because when the average luminous reflectance is 1.0% or more, the antireflection function may not be sufficiently exhibited. In addition, an average luminous reflectance of 0.1% or less must greatly reduce the film refractive index of the low refractive index layer on the surface of the antireflection film, and simultaneously satisfies other characteristics such as mechanical strength and antifouling properties. This is not preferable because it becomes difficult.
An example of the layer configuration of the antireflection film according to one embodiment will be described in detail with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 shows an example of a schematic cross-sectional view of an embodiment of an antireflection film. In this antireflection film, a hard coat layer and a low refractive index layer are sequentially laminated on a transparent support. Here, the low refractive index layer has a lower refractive index than the transparent support and the hard coat layer. It is an antireflection film. At this time, it is possible to adopt an optical three-layer configuration in which a high refractive index layer (a hard coat layer, a layer having a higher refractive index than the low refractive index layer) is provided between the hard coat layer and the low refractive index layer. It is. It is also possible in principle to use a multilayer film structure in which an arbitrary number of high refractive index layers and low refractive index layers are alternately stacked. However, when considering the mechanical strength, production cost, non-defective product production rate, etc. of the film, as shown in FIG. 1, the antireflection film (10) has a hard coat layer (12) on the transparent support (11). It is preferable to provide a laminate obtained by providing a low refractive index layer (13) thereon. The low refractive index layer (13) is provided on the outermost layer of the antireflection film in this example, thereby imparting an antireflection function, an antifouling function, and an abrasion resistance function to the film.
At this time, by adjusting the film thickness and refractive index of each layer, the a * value and b * value, which are hue parameters of the reflected light, can be adjusted to the intended ones. For example, the thickness of the hard coat layer is in the range of 3.0 μm or more and 10 μm or less, the refractive index of the hard coat layer is in the range of 1.45 or more and 1.55 or less, and the thickness d 1 of the low refractive index layer is The refractive index n 1 of the low refractive index layer is preferably in the range of 1.25 to 1.35. Formula (1) is as follows.
数式(1):(2×λ/4)×0.8<n1d1<(2×λ/4)×1.2
ここで、反射防止フィルムにおける反射防止設計中心波長λは通常、人間が最も感知しやすい緑色の波長帯(例えば、550nm)が選ばれる。
Formula (1): (2 × λ / 4) × 0.8 <n 1 d 1 <(2 × λ / 4) × 1.2
Here, an antireflection design center wavelength λ in the antireflection film is usually selected to be a green wavelength band (for example, 550 nm) that is most easily perceived by humans.

In particular, polyethylene terephthalate, triacetyl cellulose, polycarbonate, and polymethyl methacrylate are preferable. Among these, triacetyl cellulose can be suitably used for various displays because of its low birefringence and good transparency.
さらに、これらの有機高分子に公知の添加剤、例えば、紫外線吸収剤、赤外線吸収剤、可塑剤、滑剤、着色剤、酸化防止剤、難燃剤等を添加することにより機能を付加させたものも使用できる。また、透明支持体は上記の有機高分子から選ばれる1種または2種以上の混合物、または重合体からなるものでもよく、複数の層を積層させたものであってもよい。 Furthermore, these organic polymers may be added with known additives such as ultraviolet absorbers, infrared absorbers, plasticizers, lubricants, colorants, antioxidants, flame retardants, etc. Can be used. またこれらの他にも、電離放射線型材料として、アクリレート系の官能基を有するポリエーテル樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、アルキッド樹脂、スピロアセタール樹脂、ポリブタジエン樹脂、ポリチオールポリエン樹脂等を使用することができ、特にその材料を限定しない。 Besides these, as ionizing radiation type materials, polyether resins, polyester resins, epoxy resins, alkyd resins, spiroacetal resins, polybutadiene resins, polythiol polyene resins, etc. having acrylate functional groups can be used. The material is not particularly limited.
In addition, since the ionizing radiation curable material is cured by ultraviolet rays, a photopolymerization initiator is added to the hard coat layer forming coating solution. As the low refractive index layer in the antireflection film, as the low refractive particles, LiF, MgF, 3NaF.AlF or AlF (all having a refractive index of 1.4), or Na 3 AlF 6 (cryolite, refractive index). It is possible to use low refractive index particles made of a low refractive material such as 1.33). Moreover, the particle | grains which have a space | gap inside a particle | grain can be used suitably. In the case of particles having voids inside the particles, the voids can be made to have a refractive index of air (≈1), so that they can be low refractive index particles having a very low refractive index. Specifically, low refractive index silica particles having voids inside can be used.
The low refractive index particles used in the low refractive index layer preferably have an average particle size of 1 nm to 100 nm. When the average particle size exceeds 100 nm, light is remarkably reflected by Rayleigh scattering, the low refractive index layer is whitened, and the transparency of the antireflection film tends to be lowered. On the other hand, when the particle size is less than 1 nm, problems such as non-uniformity of particles in the low refractive index layer due to aggregation of particles occur. As used herein, the “average particle diameter (average particle diameter)” of fine particles is measured by a dynamic light scattering method unless otherwise specified or consistent with other conditions. The average particle size of the fine particles is a 50% particle size (d50 median size) when the particle size distribution is expressed as a cumulative distribution.
The binder matrix forming material for forming the low refractive index layer includes an ionizing radiation curable material. As the ionizing radiation curable material, acrylic materials exemplified as the ionizing radiation curable material contained in the hard coat layer forming coating liquid can be used. (反射防止フィルムの評価)
実施例1から実施例4、及び比較例1から比較例4で得られた反射防止フィルムについて、以下の方法で評価を行った。
(Evaluation of antireflection film)
The antireflection films obtained in Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4 were evaluated by the following methods.
(塗布ムラ)
作製した反射防止フィルムに対し、塗布膜の面内均一性を評価した。塗布膜の面内均一性は、作成した反射防止フィルムの低屈折率層の形成されていない面につや消し黒色塗料を塗布し、反射防止の処置を行った後に、目視にて評価を行った。判定基準を以下に示す(冒頭の記号(○、×)は、表1中の記号に対応する)。
(Coating unevenness)
The in-plane uniformity of the coating film was evaluated for the produced antireflection film. The in-plane uniformity of the coating film was evaluated by visual inspection after applying a matte black paint on the surface of the prepared antireflection film where the low refractive index layer was not formed and performing antireflection treatment. The judgment criteria are shown below (the symbols at the beginning (◯, x) correspond to the symbols in Table 1).

×: Bleed (wiped area can be confirmed visually)
(Static friction coefficient μs)
The static friction coefficient with respect to the metal smooth surface of a coating film was evaluated with respect to the produced antireflection film. An antireflection film placed on a smooth surface is used as a test object, and a friction meter [TRIBOGEAR, TYPE94i-II: manufactured by Shinto Kagaku Co., Ltd.] is placed on the test object on the surface of the antireflection film. Measurements were made. A measurement result is the average value which performed the same measurement 5 times. As the slider (contactor) of the friction meter, hard chrome-treated brass (40 g) having a contact area of 12 cm 2 was used.
(表面粗さRa)
作製した反射防止フィルムに対し、塗布膜の表面粗さRaを評価した。原子間力顕微鏡AFM(NanoScopeIIIa DimensionSeriese Tapping mode AFM;日本ビーコ株式会社)を用い走査範囲1μm×1μmにて測定を行った。

(平均視感反射率)
得られた反射防止フィルムの低屈折率層表面について、自動分光光度計(日立製作所製、U−4100)を用い、入射角5°における分光反射率を測定した。また、得られた分光反射率曲線からJISR3106に従って平均視感反射率を求めた。なお、測定の際には透明支持体であるトリアセチルセルロースフィルムのうち低屈折率層の形成されていない面につや消し黒色塗料を塗布し、反射防止の処置を行った。
(Average luminous reflectance)
About the surface of the low refractive index layer of the obtained antireflection film, the spectral reflectance at an incident angle of 5 ° was measured using an automatic spectrophotometer (manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd., U-4100). The average luminous reflectance was determined from the obtained spectral reflectance curve according to JIS R3106. In the measurement, a matte black paint was applied to the surface of the triacetyl cellulose film, which is a transparent support, on which the low refractive index layer was not formed, and antireflection treatment was performed.
表1の結果より、実施例1、実施例2、実施例3および実施例4はいずれも、良好な性能を示した。他方、実施例5は、低屈折率層塗布用調製液中の多孔質シリカ微粒子の濃度が80%と非常に高濃度のため、低屈折率層の表面粗さRaの値が大きくなり、機械強度若干が低下してしまう結果となり、表面粗さRaを3.0nm以下にすることが好ましいという結果となった。 From the results in Table 1, Example 1, Example 2, Example 3 and Example 4 all showed good performance. On the other hand, in Example 5, since the concentration of the porous silica fine particles in the preparation liquid for coating the low refractive index layer is as high as 80%, the value of the surface roughness Ra of the low refractive index layer is increased. As a result, the strength slightly decreased, and the surface roughness Ra was preferably 3.0 nm or less.
また、比較例1は、低屈折率層塗布用調製液にシリコーンオイルTSF4460を添加しなかったため、低屈折率層表面に滑り性を発現させることができなかったため機械強度が劣る結果となった。さらに、比較例2は、低屈折率層塗布用調製液中のシリコーンオイルTSF4460とバインダー樹脂(ライトアクリレートBP−4PA)との相溶性が悪く、低屈折率層表面に滑り性を発現させることができなかったため機械強度が低下してしまう結果となった。 Further, in Comparative Example 1, since silicone oil TSF4460 was not added to the low refractive index layer coating preparation liquid, slipperiness could not be expressed on the surface of the low refractive index layer, resulting in poor mechanical strength. Furthermore, in Comparative Example 2, the compatibility between the silicone oil TSF4460 and the binder resin (light acrylate BP-4PA) in the preparation liquid for low refractive index layer coating is poor, and slipperiness can be expressed on the surface of the low refractive index layer. As a result, the mechanical strength decreased.
本明細書において提供された反射防止フィルムを、画像表示装置や液晶表示装置に設置することにより、また、そのような反射防止フィルムを用いた偏光板を液晶表示装置の表面に設けることにより、また、該反射防止フィルムをタッチパネルに使用することにより、ディスプレイ表面の外光の反射を抑制することができ、また外傷による反射防止フィルムの劣化を防ぐことがでる。 By installing the antireflection film provided in this specification in an image display device or a liquid crystal display device, and by providing a polarizing plate using such an antireflection film on the surface of the liquid crystal display device, By using the antireflection film for a touch panel, reflection of external light on the display surface can be suppressed, and deterioration of the antireflection film due to damage can be prevented.
