Abstract
Description
a)接触分解装置で400℃より高い温度でバイオマス材料を接触分解触媒と接触させて、1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を得ること;
b)1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を分留して、軽質サイクル油、ナフサ生成物、それらの留分、およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される留分を得ること;
c)工程b)で得られた留分をバイオ燃料成分として用いること、および/または工程b)で得られた留分をバイオ燃料成分に変換すること;および
d)バイオ燃料成分を、1種またはそれより多くのその他の成分とブレンドして、液体燃料組成物を得ること、
を含む、上記方法も提供する。
本発明は、液体燃料組成物の製造方法であって:
a)接触分解装置で400℃より高い温度でバイオマス材料を接触分解触媒と接触させて、1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を得ること;
b)1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を分留して、軽質サイクル油、ナフサ生成物、それらの留分、およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される留分を得ること;
c)工程b)で得られた留分をバイオ燃料成分として用いること、および/または工程b)で得られた留分をバイオ燃料成分に変換すること;および
d)バイオ燃料成分を、1種またはそれより多くのその他の成分とブレンドして、液体燃料組成物を得ること、
を含む、上記方法を提供する。
接触分解装置で、400℃より高い温度で、好ましくは固体のバイオマス材料および任意に流体炭化水素供給材料を、接触分解触媒と接触させ、固体のバイオマス材料および任意の流体炭化水素供給材料を接触分解して、1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物、およびコークス化した接触分解触媒を生産することを含む、接触分解工程;
コークス化した接触分解触媒から1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を分離することを含む、分離工程;
コークス化した接触分解触媒を再生して、再生接触分解触媒、熱、および二酸化炭素を生産することを含む、再生工程;および
再生接触分解触媒を接触分解工程に再利用することを含む、再利用工程、
を含む。
上記で説明した方法は、有利には、既存のインフラストラクチャーおよび燃焼技術によって生産し扱うことができる液体燃料組成物の作製を可能にする。
第一の実施態様において、本発明は、第一のバイオ燃料成分を含む液体燃料組成物であって、該バイオ燃料成分が、バイオマス源の接触分解によって生産された1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物の留分を含むか、それらからなるか、またはそれらから誘導され、ここで該留分が、軽質サイクル油、ナフサ生成物、それらの留分、および/またはそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される、上記組成物を提供する。
第二の実施態様において、本発明は、火花点火エンジンに使用するのに適した第二の液体燃料組成物であって、C4〜C8−オレフィンを0.5〜20体積%の範囲で含み、ここでC4〜C8−オレフィンは、生物由来炭素を、C4〜C8−オレフィン中に存在する炭素の総質量に基づいて、0.02質量%以上100質量%以下の範囲で含む、上記組成物を提供する。
第三の実施態様において、本発明は、第三の液体燃料組成物であって、
i)従来の燃料成分、
ii)バイオ燃料成分であり、バイオ燃料成分の総質量に基づいて、
−0.01質量%以上80質量%以下のオレフィン;
−0.01質量%以上20質量%以下のC4+酸素含有炭化水素;
−5質量%以上80質量%以下の直鎖または分岐パラフィン;
−0.01質量%以上80質量%以下の環状パラフィン;
−0.01質量%以上80質量%以下の芳香族化合物を含む、バイオ燃料成分、
を含み、ここで該バイオ燃料成分は、生物由来炭素を、バイオ燃料成分中に存在する炭素の総質量に基づいて、0.02質量%以上50質量%以下の範囲で含む、上記組成物を提供する。
本発明の目的のために、生物由来炭素は、「放射性炭素解析を用いて固体、液体および気体サンプルの生物由来含量を決定するための標準試験法(Standard Test Methods for Determining the Biobased Content of Solid, Liquid and Gaseous samples using Radiocarbon Analysis)」という表題のASTM試験D6866−10の方法Bに従って決定されるような、生物に基づく炭素を意味するものと理解される。さらに、本明細書で述べられるような「炭素」または「元素の炭素」は、「炭素原子」のことを指す。

必要に応じて、2:1以外の水素と一酸化炭素との(H2:CO)比率を用いてもよい(例えば、2以下、より好ましくは1.75以下のH2:CO比率、最も好ましくは0.4〜1.5の範囲のH2:COの比率)。
好ましい一実施態様において、第一、第二、および/または第三の液体燃料組成物は、フェノール系抗酸化剤を含み、このフェノール系抗酸化剤は、フェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノールを含み、このフェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノールは、生物由来炭素を、フェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノール中に存在する炭素の総質量に基づいて、0.02質量%以上100質量%以下の範囲で含む。このようなフェノール系抗酸化剤は、都合のよい形態としては、バイオ燃料成分中に含まれていてもよく、さらに、本明細書で説明される方法によってバイオ燃料成分と同時に生産されてもよい。
i)従来の燃料成分
ii)上述のようなフェノール系抗酸化剤、
を含む新規且つ発明的な液体燃料組成物を提供する。従来の燃料成分は、上述したように、好ましくは第一、第二、および/または第三の液体燃料組成物である。
本発明に係る液体燃料組成物は、エンジンまたは暖房器具において有利に使用することができる。
Claims (19)
- 火花点火エンジンに使用するのに適した液体燃料組成物であって、C4〜C8−オレフィンを0.5〜20体積%の範囲で含み、ここで該C4〜C8−オレフィンは、生物由来炭素を、C4〜C8−オレフィン中に存在する炭素の総質量に基づいて、0.02質量%以上100質量%以下の範囲で含む、上記組成物。
- 前記液体燃料組成物中のC4〜C8オレフィンが、軽質接触分解ガソリン留分から得られたものであるか、または軽質接触分解ガソリン留分から誘導されたものである、請求項1に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- 前記液体燃料組成物が、15℃〜70℃の範囲の初留点(IP123によって決定した場合)、最大で230℃の最終沸点(IP123によって決定した場合)、85〜110の範囲のRON(ASTM D2699によって決定した場合)、および75〜100の範囲のMON(ASTM D2700によって決定した場合)を有するガソリン組成物である、請求項1または2に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- 前記C4〜C8−オレフィンの50体積%より多くが、分岐オレフィンである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- 前記液体燃料組成物が、従来の燃料成分をさらに含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- 前記液体燃料組成物が、抗酸化剤、腐食抑制剤、洗浄剤、防曇剤、アンチノック添加剤、金属不活性化剤、弁座の凹みを防止する化合物、色素、摩擦調節剤、潤滑向上剤、分散媒、希釈剤、およびマーカーからなる群より選択される1種またはそれより多くの燃料添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- 液体燃料組成物であって、
i)従来の燃料成分
ii)バイオ燃料成分であり、バイオ燃料成分の総質量に基づいて、
−0.01質量%以上80質量%以下のオレフィン;
−0.01質量%以上20質量%以下のC4+酸素含有炭化水素;
−5質量%以上80質量%以下の直鎖または分岐パラフィン;
−0.01質量%以上80質量%以下の環状パラフィン;
−0.01質量%以上80質量%以下の芳香族化合物を含む、バイオ燃料成分、
を含み、ここで該バイオ燃料成分は、生物由来炭素を、バイオ燃料成分中に存在する炭素の総質量に基づいて、0.02質量%以上50質量%以下で含む、上記組成物。 - 前記バイオ燃料成分が、少なくとも部分的に、接触分解装置で400℃より高い温度でバイオマス材料を接触分解触媒と接触させることによって生産される、請求項7に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- バイオ燃料成分を含む液体燃料組成物であって、該バイオ燃料成分は、バイオマス源の接触分解によって生産された1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物の留分を含むか、該留分からなるか、または該留分から誘導され、ここで該留分は、軽質サイクル油、ナフサ生成物、それらの留分、および/またはそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される、上記組成物。
- フィッシャー−トロプシュ燃料成分をさらに含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- フェノール系抗酸化剤をさらに含み、ここで該フェノール系抗酸化剤は、フェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノールを含み、ここで該フェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノールは、生物由来炭素を0.02質量%以上100質量%以下の範囲で含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物。
- 液体燃料組成物であって、
i)従来の燃料成分
ii)フェノール系抗酸化剤であり、ここで該フェノール系抗酸化剤は、フェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノールを含み、ここで該フェノールおよび/または1種またはそれより多くのアルキル置換フェノールは、生物由来炭素を0.02質量%以上100質量%以下の範囲で含む、フェノール系抗酸化剤、
を含む、上記組成物。 - 液体燃料組成物の製造方法であって:
a)接触分解装置で400℃より高い温度でバイオマス材料を接触分解触媒と接触させて、1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を得ること;
b)1種またはそれより多くの分解生成物を留分して、軽質サイクル油、ナフサ生成物、それらの留分、およびそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される留分を得ること;
c)工程b)で得られた留分をバイオ燃料成分として用いること、および/または工程b)で得られた留分をバイオ燃料成分に変換すること;および
d)バイオ燃料成分を、1種またはそれより多くのその他の成分とブレンドして、液体燃料組成物を得ること、
を含む、上記方法。 - 工程b)で得られた留分が、35℃以上125℃未満の範囲で、1bar絶対圧(0.1メガパスカル)で少なくとも80質量%が沸騰する、軽質接触分解ガソリン留分である、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記軽質接触分解ガソリン留分が、C4〜C8オレフィンを、軽質接触分解ガソリン留分の総体積に基づいて、1体積%以上60体積%以下の範囲で含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記軽質接触分解ガソリン留分が、生物由来炭素を、軽質接触分解ガソリン留分中に存在する炭素の総質量に基づいて、0.02質量%以上100質量%以下の範囲で含む、請求項14または15に記載の方法。
- 前記C4〜C8−オレフィンが、直鎖オレフィン、および分岐オレフィンを含み、ここで該分岐オレフィンに対する該直鎖オレフィンの体積比は、好ましくは1に対して1以下である、請求項16に記載の方法。
- エンジンの操作方法であって、エンジンの燃焼室に請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物を導入することを含む、上記方法。
- 運搬用車両における、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の液体燃料組成物の使用。
