Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a double wishbone type vehicle suspension apparatus that can appropriately change a camber angle in accordance with the traveling state of the vehicle, and relates to a method for determining the origin of a member that slides when the camber angle is changed.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, various types of suspension devices (suspension devices) for vehicles such as passenger cars are known. Among them, in recent years, double wishbone type suspension devices having a high degree of freedom in design and excellent road surface followability are described in
A
On the other hand, the
In the case of such a conventional double wishbone suspension system, the upper arm 4 and the
In view of such circumstances, the present inventors previously invented a double wishbone type vehicle suspension device capable of changing the camber angle γ as shown in FIGS. 7 to 10 (Japanese Patent Application No. 2012-107531). ). First, the structure according to the present invention and its operation will be described. In the vehicle suspension device according to the present invention, the structure for making the entire length of the
The
The
Further, the lead angle of the male screw formed on the both
At the front ends of the
The
Between the
The
In addition, a tire lateral force (axial load) applied to the
That is, the
On the other hand, when the
The vehicle suspension device according to the prior invention has the above-described configuration, and can operate as described above, so that the camber angle can be appropriately changed according to the traveling state of the vehicle. For this reason, the magnitude | size of the tire lateral force to generate | occur | produce can be adjusted, and the further improvement of the turning performance of a vehicle and a straight running performance can be aimed at. Moreover, since the structure for changing the overall length of the
By the way, in the case of the vehicle suspension device of the prior invention, as described above, by rotating the
Further, when detecting the absolute position of the both screw nuts 21a and 21b in this way, when the vehicle is stopped, such as when starting the vehicle or when the ignition switch is turned OFF, the both screw nuts In order to grasp the exact positions of 21a and 21b, it is necessary to determine the origin of these
For example, as a method of returning the origin of these
Alternatively, it is conceivable to employ a method using an origin detection sensor and an origin mark as described in
However, even if any of the methods as described above is adopted, there is a possibility that the time required for the origination operation of the screw nuts 21a, 21b may be prolonged.
First of all, in the case of the method using the above-described stoppering, regardless of the current axial position of the screw nuts 21a and 21b (at the time of starting the origin search operation), the origin search is performed using the stroke end on one axial side. For example, even when both the screw nuts 21a and 21b are located near the stroke end on the other side in the axial direction, it is necessary to move both the screw nuts 21a and 21b to the stroke end on one side in the axial direction. For this reason, the amount of movement of these
In any case, the above-described origin finding operation may be performed only once with the vehicle stopped, and thereafter, as long as the ignition switch is turned on, the incremental motor installed in the
In view of the circumstances as described above, the present invention realizes an origin finding method of a double wishbone type vehicle suspension system that can shorten the time required for origin finding work of a sliding member when changing a camber angle. Invented accordingly.
As with the double wishbone type vehicle suspension device according to the above-described invention, any of the vehicle suspension devices subject to the origin-finding method of the present invention has a tip portion such as an upper ball joint or an upper cardan joint. The upper arm is connected to the upper part of the knuckle through an upper joint that allows oscillating displacement in the direction, and the upper end is supported by the vehicle body, and the front end is oscillated in each direction such as a lower ball joint or a lower cardan joint. The lower arm is connected to the lower portion of the knuckle through a lower joint that allows dynamic displacement, and the base end portion is supported to be swingable with respect to the vehicle body.
The upper arm includes a frame, a telescopic mechanism, an electric motor, a speed reduction mechanism, and a pair of link arms.
Of these, the frame is supported by the vehicle body.
The telescopic mechanism includes a pair of screw shafts and a pair of screw nuts (including a pair of feed screw mechanisms). A pair of these screw shafts form male threads in opposite directions on the outer peripheral surface, and are arranged on the same straight line in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The pair of screw nuts are formed by forming internal threads in opposite directions on the inner peripheral surface, and are engaged (screwed) around the respective screw shafts. One of the pair of screw nuts and the pair of screw shafts is supported so as to be movable (slidable) in the axial direction with respect to the frame, and the other one is supported. The pair of members are supported so as to be rotatable only with respect to the frame.
The electric motor is supported by the frame and is rotatable in both directions (forward direction and reverse direction).
The speed reduction mechanism is disposed inside a gear housing portion that constitutes the frame, and the power of the electric motor is increased to the other pair of members that constitute the telescopic mechanism while increasing torque. introduce.
Further, the pair of link arms have at least the base end portions of the vehicle body at least on the vehicle body directly or via other members with respect to the respective distal end portions of the one pair of members constituting the expansion / contraction mechanism. The upper end joint is connected to the upper joint so as to be rotatable about the vertical axis of the vehicle body. For this purpose, for example, the tip ends of the pair of link arms are connected to a part of the upper joint or a member attached to the upper joint.
Further, the vehicle suspension device is configured such that the other pair of members constituting the expansion / contraction mechanism is rotationally driven by the electric motor via the speed reduction mechanism, whereby the one of the expansion / contraction mechanisms is configured. The pair of members are advanced and retracted in opposite directions with respect to the axial direction. This changes the camber angle of the wheel by changing the opening angle of both link arms and changing the length of both link arms in the width direction of the vehicle body (changing the total length of the upper arm). Have.
The suspension system for a vehicle that is a target of the origin-finding method according to
As the origin detection sensor, for example, a magnetic sensor formed by combining a permanent magnet and a magnetic detection element, an optical sensor, or the like can be used.
When a magnetic sensor is used as the origin detection sensor, the one pair of members or the members fixed to the one pair of members, which are close to each other, are made of a magnetic material. And Then, a thinned portion such as a concave hole or a concave groove formed in this member, a protruding portion, or the like can be used as the origin mark.
On the other hand, when an optical sensor is used as the origin detection sensor, the light reflectance of the one pair of members or the members fixed to the one pair of members is changed by, for example, coloring. The part different from the part can be used as the origin mark.
In any of the vehicle suspension device origin finding methods according to the present invention, the vehicle suspension device having the above-described configuration and function is subjected to origin finding of the one pair of members.
Particularly, the origin finding method described in
First, as a first step, the electric motor is slightly rotated in both directions (less than one rotation, for example, about 1/10 to 1/5 rotation), and the magnitude of the motor current in each case is detected.
Next, as the second step, the magnitudes of the two types of motor currents detected in the first step are compared, and the current posture of the wheel suspended by the vehicle suspension device is determined as a positive camber and a negative camber. Which of these is set is determined.
Then, as a third step, based on the determination result of the second step, a moving direction for moving the one pair of members toward the origin is determined, and the one pair of members is moved to the origin. The mark is moved until it is detected by the origin detection sensor. Thus, the one pair of members is moved to the origin. When the origin is provided at a position corresponding to a predetermined camber angle (initial setting position), the origin may be moved once through the neutral position. Even in this case, the time required for the return to origin can be short.
On the other hand, the origin finding method described in
First, as a first step, the electric motor is slightly rotated in both directions (less than one rotation, for example, about 1/10 to 1/5 rotation), and the magnitude of the motor current in each case is detected.
Next, as the second step, the magnitudes of the two types of motor currents detected in the first step are compared, and the current posture of the wheel suspended by the vehicle suspension device is determined as a positive camber and a negative camber. Which of these is set is determined.
Then, as a third step, based on the determination result of the second step, the stroke end on the side closer to the current position of the one pair of members is specified, and the one pair of members is moved to this stroke end. Move.
Finally, as the fourth step, the one pair of members is opposite to the case of the third step by a predetermined amount of movement from the stroke end to the origin determined in advance from the stroke end. Move in the direction. Thus, the one pair of members is moved to the origin.
In short, in the case of the invention described in
According to the origin finding method of the vehicle suspension apparatus of the present invention as described above, the time required for the origin finding operation of the member that slides when the camber angle is changed can be shortened.
That is, in the case of the origin finding method for a vehicle suspension device according to the present invention, the current posture of the wheel (at the start of origin finding operation) is determined as a positive camber using the magnitude of the motor current supplied to the electric motor. Or negative camber can be determined. For this reason, it is specified which side of one pair of members constituting the expansion / contraction mechanism that slides when changing the camber angle is located with respect to the neutral position (the position where the camber angle becomes zero degrees). it can. Therefore, the current position and the target position of the one pair of members (the origin corresponding to a known position (position corresponding to a predetermined camber angle, neutral position, or stroke end) in the invention described in claim 1), In the invention described in

In the case of this example, the following origin finding method (origin finding operation) is performed for the vehicle suspension system having the above-described configuration. In addition, the origin-finding method of this example is performed in a state where the vehicle is stopped, such as when the vehicle is started or when the ignition switch is turned off.
First, as a first step, the
Next, as a second step, the magnitudes of the two types of motor currents detected in the first step are compared, and the current posture of the wheel 1 (at the time of starting the origin search operation) is determined between the positive camber and the negative camber. It is determined which is set. Even such comparison determination is performed by the comparison determination means in the controller.
Here, by comparing the magnitude of the motor current when the
When the camber angle shown in (A) is set to zero degrees, a force (reaction force) uniformly applied upward from the
Next, when the negative camber shown in (B) is set, a force (reaction force) directed upward from the
Here, there is a correlation between the force exerted by the
If the current posture of the
According to the origin returning method of this example having the above-described steps, the time required for the origin returning operation of the screw nuts 21a and 21b, which are members that slide when changing the camber angle, can be shortened.
That is, in the case of this example, using the magnitude of the motor current supplied to the
Other configurations and operational effects of the vehicle suspension device that is the object of the method of this example are the same as those of the vehicle suspension device according to the above-described invention.
[Second Example of Embodiment]
FIG. 5 shows a second example of an embodiment of the present invention corresponding to claim 2. The feature of this example is that the pair of
In the case of this example, after determining whether the current posture of the
In the case of this example, the
As described above, after the
Also in the case of the origin finding method of the present example as described above, by comparing the magnitude of the motor current, the
About another structure and effect, it is the same as that of the case of the 1st example of embodiment mentioned above and the suspension system for vehicles which concerns on the prior invention mentioned above.
In the first example of the embodiment described above, the case where two origin detection sensors and two origin marks are provided has been described. However, since a pair of feed screw mechanisms operate in synchronization with each other, One origin detection sensor and one origin mark may be provided only for the screw mechanism. However, by providing two origin detection sensors and two origin marks, fail safe can be achieved and reliability can be improved. In the first example, the origin mark is applied to the portion of the outer peripheral surface of the guide tube where the detection unit of the origin detection sensor faces and the pair of screw nuts is located at the neutral position. However, the position where the origin mark is attached is not limited to such a position, and the two screw nuts can also be attached to a portion where the both ends of the screw nut are located at the stroke end in a state where the detection portions of the origin detection sensor face each other.
In addition, as a vehicle suspension device that is an object of the origin-finding method of the present invention, one pair of members that support only the movement in the axial direction with respect to the frame is a pair of screw shafts. The other pair of members that support only rotation may be a pair of screw nuts. In this case, it is preferable that the axial dimension of the both screw nuts be sufficiently large in order to ensure the supporting rigidity and the expansion / contraction amount of the both screw shafts. Further, the feed screw mechanism including the screw shaft and the screw nut is not limited to the sliding screw type feed screw mechanism, and a ball screw type feed screw mechanism may be adopted. Further, as a speed reduction mechanism, in addition to a gear type speed reducer provided with a plurality of helical gears (cylindrical gears), a worm speed reducer in which a worm and a worm wheel are engaged with each other may be employed. Further, the frame is supported so as to be swingable in the vertical direction with respect to the vehicle body, and the base end portions of the pair of link arms are respectively connected to the tip portions of one pair of members constituting the expansion / contraction mechanism. The vehicle body may be coupled so as to be only rotatable about the vertical axis.
