- 符号化されたビデオに係わるビットストリームを受信してパージングする段階と、
前記ビットストリームから、ピクチャを復号化するためのデータ単位である符号化単位の最大サイズを示す最大符号化単位サイズ情報、符号化深度及び符号化モードについての情報を抽出する段階と、
前記最大符号化単位サイズ情報と、前記符号化深度及び符号化モードについての情報とを利用し、前記ピクチャが深度によって階層的に分割された最大符号化単位、及び符号化単位を決定し、前記符号化単位を基に、前記ピクチャを復号化する段階と、を含み、
前記最大符号化単位は、ラスタスキャン順序によって復号化され、前記最大符号化単位に含まれた少なくとも1つの符号化単位は、ジグザグスキャン順序によって復号化されることを特徴とするビデオ復号化方法。 - 前記復号化段階は、
