Abstract
Description
本出願は、2009年7月21日に出願され、「LOCALIZED WAVE GENERATION VIA MODAL DECOMPOSITION OF A PULSE BY A WAVE LAUNCHER」という名称を有する米国特許出願第12/510040号に対する優先権を主張する。
Claims (25)
- 導波管の開口端から所定の距離の所で局在波ピークを観測できるように伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを放出する前記導波管用の方法であって、
前記導波管の前記開口端からの前記所定の距離に少なくとも部分的に基づいて1つまたは複数の振幅設定および/または移相設定を選択することと、
前記選択された1つまたは複数の振幅設定および/または移相設定に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記導波管内のパルスのモード分解を介して2つ以上のモードを励起することとを含む方法。 - 前記振幅設定および/または前記移相設定を選択する前にピークまでの前記所定の距離を決定することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記2つ以上のモードを励起し、所望の開口部電磁場を合成して前記所定の距離の所に前記局在波を生成する前に、前記パルスを発生させることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記開口端から放射された前記2つ以上のモードの組み合わせに少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記所定の距離の所で前記ピークを観測することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2つ以上のモードを励起することは、2本以上のアンテナを導波管内で励起することを含み、各アンテナが、励起時に前記伝搬波の少なくとも1つのモードまたはモード同士の重合せに関連するエネルギーを放出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2つ以上のモードを励起することは、前記導波管に固定された2つ以上の誘電同調素子によって、前記伝搬波の少なくとも1つのモードの、1つまたは複数の振幅および/または移相を調整することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2つ以上のモードを励起することは、前記導波管内の波状部によって前記伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを励起することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ウェーブランチャであって、前記ウェーブランチャから所定の距離の所で観測を行えるように伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを放出するように構成され、
導波管と、複数のアンテナとを備え、
前記導波管は、細長い部材、および導波管の端部の所の開口面を含み、
前記各アンテナが、前記導波管内の、前記開口面から異なる距離の所に位置し、励起時に前記導波管の前記開口端から伝搬波の異なるモードまたは伝搬波のモード同士の異なる重合せを放出することができるように構成される、ウェーブランチャ。 - 前記導波管の前記細長い部材は、概ね管状の形を有する、請求項8に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記導波管の前記細長い部材は、円形、長円形、矩形、または方形の断面形状を有する、請求項9に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記複数のアンテナ間の間隔は、互いに対して均等な間隔または互いに対して均等でない間隔である、請求項8に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記複数のアンテナは、互いにサイズが異なる2本以上のアンテナを備える、請求項8に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記複数のアンテナに動作可能に結合され、かつ前記複数のアンテナのうちの2本以上の間でパルスを分割するように構成されたパワー分割器をさらに備える、請求項8に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記パワー分割器に動作可能に結合され、前記パルスを発生するように構成されたパルス発生器をさらに備える、請求項13に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記パワー分割器は、2対以上の可変振幅調整器および/または可変移相器を備える、請求項13に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記導波管の前記開口面に隣接して配置され、伝搬波の2つ以上のモードのうちの少なくとも1つのモードの振幅および/または移相を調整することのできる2つ以上の誘電同調素子を備える同調部をさらに備える、請求項8に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- ウェーブランチャであって、前記ウェーブランチャから所定の距離の所で観測を行えるように伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを放出するように構成され、
導波管と、アンテナと、段状部とを備え、
前記導波管は、開口面が導波管の端部の所に配置され、細長い部材を含み、
前記アンテナは、前記導波管内の、前記開口面からある距離の所に位置し、励起時に前記導波管の前記開口端に電磁エネルギーを放出することができるように構成され、
前記段状部は、前記導波管の前記開口面に隣接して配置され、前記アンテナからの前記放出された電磁エネルギーに応答して前記ウェーブランチャからの伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを励起することができる2つ以上の誘電段状素子を備える、ウェーブランチャ。 - 前記導波管の前記細長い部材は、概ね管状の形を備える、請求項17に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記2つ以上の誘電段状素子は、伝搬波の2つ以上のモードのうちの少なくとも1つのモードの振幅および/または移相を調整することが可能である、請求項17に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記段状部は、段状のラッパ形状を備える、請求項17に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- ウェーブランチャであって、前記ウェーブランチャから所定の距離の所で局在波ピークを観測できるように伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを放出するように構成され、
導波管と、アンテナと、波状部とを備え、
前記導波管は、開口面が導波管の端部の所に配置され、細長い部材を含み、
前記アンテナは、前記導波管内の、前記開口面からある距離の所に位置し、励起時に前記導波管の前記開口端に電磁エネルギーを放出することができるように構成され、
前記波状部は、前記導波管内に配置され、前記アンテナからの前記放出された電磁エネルギーに応答して前記ウェーブランチャからの伝搬波の2つ以上のモードを励起することが可能である、ウェーブランチャ。 - 前記導波管の前記細長い部材は、概ね管状の形を備える、請求項21に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 前記導波管の開口面に隣接して配置され、伝搬波の2つ以上のモードのうちの少なくとも1つのモードの振幅および/または移相を調整することのできる2つ以上の誘電同調素子を備える同調部をさらに備える、請求項21に記載のウェーブランチャ。
- 1つまたは複数のプロセッサによって実行された場合に、コンピューティングデバイスが、
導波管の開口面に対してピークを観測する所望の距離を識別し、
前記所望の距離に少なくとも部分的に基づいて1つまたは複数の振幅および/または移相を調整する
ことができるように動作可能である機械可読命令が記憶された信号担持媒体を備える物品。 - 動力源が、1つまたは複数の伝搬モードが励起され前記所望の距離の所でピークとして観測できるように、前記調整された振幅設定および/または移相設定を使用して前記導波管を励起することを可能にすることをさらに含む、請求項24に記載の物品。
