Description

The present invention relates to activation control of a camera function, and relates to an electronic device having a camera function, a camera control program thereof, and a camera control method.

Various electronic devices such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants have a camera function, and are intended to be used for simple photographing and e-mail attachment of photographing data. This camera function is constituted by a camera application as a program including activation control thereof together with the camera module. In the camera function mounted on the electronic device, necessary processing for starting up the electronic device and starting up the camera function is executed. For this reason, it takes a considerable time to activate the camera function.

Regarding the activation of such a camera function, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-151867 discloses a second example in which a program of a user selection application is preliminarily used before actual use in order to speed up the activation time of a specific function other than a call or e-mail.

By the way, in the activation of the conventional camera function shown in FIG. 31, for example, development of a program of a basic function such as displaying a standby screen by turning on an electronic device equipped with a camera in a RAM (Random Access Memory). And execution (S201) is performed. Which program is deployed depends on the size of the RAM in the electronic device. As a result, after the standby screen display (S202), application activation (S203), and user camera activation request (S204), it is determined whether or not the camera application program has been expanded in the RAM (S205). If the camera application program has already been deployed (YES in S205), the camera application is activated (S206), and the camera application requests activation of the camera module via the framework or not via the framework. Is output (S207). If the camera application program has not been expanded (NO in S205), the camera application program is expanded in the RAM (S208), and the process proceeds to activation of the camera application (S206).

(S211)。   After such complicated processing, the camera module is turned on (S209), and the camera module program is loaded into the RAM (S210). Then, the camera module captures the image and displays the monitor image on the display unit. Expand (S211).

In such camera activation, the processing from S204 to S211 takes time. In the camera module, for example, a sensor device specialized for a camera function, an ISP (Image Sensor), a dedicated encoder, and the like are installed, and the function is advanced. As a result, it is possible to shoot with high image quality, but it takes more time for the camera module to start up in a shootable state. In an electronic device having a camera function, there is a problem that when a camera activation input is performed for a key operation or a touch panel operation, the camera is activated as quickly as possible to start photographing.

Accordingly, an object of the electronic device and the camera control program of the present disclosure is to speed up the activation of the camera function.

Another object of the present disclosure and the camera control program thereof is to shorten the waiting time until shifting to shooting.

In order to achieve the above object, the electronic device, the camera control program, and the camera control method of the present disclosure include a camera module, a camera application program, a camera activation source application program, and activation means. The camera application program has a function of starting a camera module that captures an image of a subject. The camera activation source application program has a function of activating the camera application program and a function of instructing activation of the camera module. Then, the activation means receives an activation instruction directly from the camera activation source application program, and activates the camera module before starting activation of the camera application program. This speeds up the activation of the camera module.

According to the electronic device, the camera control program, or the camera control method of the present disclosure, one of the following effects can be obtained.

(1) Since the activation unit that receives the activation instruction directly from the camera activation source application program activates the camera module before starting activation by the camera application program, the activation of the camera module can be accelerated.

(2) Since the camera module starts to start without having to wait for the camera application program to start, it is possible to immediately respond to the subject's photo opportunity and enhance the convenience of the camera function.

First Embodiment]

FIG. 1 shows an electronic device according to the first embodiment. The configuration shown in FIG. 1 is an example, and the present invention is not limited to such a configuration.

The electronic device 2 illustrated in FIG. 1 is, for example, a mobile phone or an information communication terminal (PDA: Personal Digital Assistant). The electronic device 2 has a camera function, can photograph a subject, and can capture an image obtained by the photographing by a shutter operation. As an example, the electronic device 2 includes a camera module 4, a memory 6, and camera module activation means 8.

The camera module 4 is hardware that images a subject. The camera module 4 includes, for example, an optical system, an image sensor, an image layer processing circuit, and the like. The activation of the camera module 4 includes, for example, processes such as power supply processing for the image sensor and the processor, activation of the signal processing circuit, and initialization.

The memory 6 is a program or data storage means, and stores a camera application program (hereinafter simply referred to as “camera application”) 10 and a camera activation source application program (hereinafter simply referred to as “camera activation source application”) 12. . The camera application 10 and the camera activation source application 12 are loaded into a RAM (Random-Access Memory) (not shown) and executed.

The camera application 10 has a function of activating the camera module 4 and can be activated from the camera activation source application 12. The camera application 10 is executed by being expanded in the above-described RAM. In addition to the activation function of the camera module 4, the camera application 10 has functions such as menu display for shooting, creation of icon images, and generation of monitoring images.

The camera activation source application 12 has a function of directly instructing the camera module activation means 8 to activate the camera module 4 without passing through the camera application 10 and a function of instructing activation of the camera application 10. The camera activation source application 12 generates a screen display before the camera application 10 is activated, such as a standby screen or a menu display screen. The above-described “function for directly instructing activation of the camera module 4” is executed, for example, when the standby screen or the menu display screen rises, and instructs the camera module activation means 8 to activate. The “function for instructing activation of the camera application 10” may be selected by, for example, selecting the camera application 10 from the menu display screen displayed by the execution of the activation source application 12, and starting the camera application 10.

The camera module activation means 8 activates the camera module 4 by receiving an activation instruction directly from the camera activation source application 12 or activates the camera module 4 by activation of the camera application 10. This activation function is realized, for example, by execution processing of a driver program by a processor. Therefore, the camera module activation means 8 starts activation of the camera module 4 when it directly receives an activation instruction from the camera activation source application 12 without going through the camera application 10. That is, the start of activation is executed before the activation by the camera application 10 is started.

FIG. 2 shows an example of the processing procedure of the camera function activation control.

(S4)。   This processing procedure is an example of the camera control program or the camera control method of the electronic apparatus according to the present disclosure. In this processing procedure, it is determined whether or not the camera activation source application 12 has been activated (S1). If the camera activation source application 12 is activated (YES in S1), an activation instruction for the camera module 4 is issued from the camera activation source application 12 (S2). The camera module activation means 8 receives the activation instruction directly from the camera activation source application 12 and activates the camera module 4 (S3). As a result, the camera module 4 is activated and enters an imaging state (S4).

For example, a menu selection screen is displayed in parallel with the activation of the camera module 4 by the activation of the camera activation source application 12 (S5). On this menu selection screen, a menu display including an instruction to start the camera application 10 is performed, and activation of the camera application 10 can be selected from this menu display.

(S7)。   It is determined whether the camera application 10 is selected (S6). If the camera application 10 is selected (YES in S6), the camera application 10 is activated (S7).

Thus, since the camera module 4 precedes the camera activation source application 12 without going through the camera application 10, the camera activation can be speeded up. In addition, it is possible to capture an image from the camera module 4 in the imaging state, which contributes to speeding up of the image capture. In other words, it can respond immediately to a photo opportunity.

FIG. 3 shows the fast startup of the camera module. In the above-described activation control, the camera activation source application 12 is activated as shown in FIG. 3A, and the camera module 4 is activated when the camera activation source application 12 is activated as shown in FIG. 3B. .

C in FIG. 3 shows execution of the camera application 10, and the execution of the camera application 10 is executed by the selection of the camera activation source application 12. D of FIG. 3 shows activation of the camera module 4 triggered by the execution of the camera application 10.

The starting point of the camera module 4 shown in B of FIG. 3 and t B, when the start time of the camera module 4 shown in D in FIG. 3 and t D, Delta] t between the start time t D and starting time t B There is a time difference. Accordingly, the activation unit 8 receives the activation instruction directly from the camera activation source application 12 and starts the camera module 4. As a result, the camera module 4 can be activated at an early stage by the time difference Δt, and the camera module 4 can be activated at high speed.

According to such a configuration, since the activation unit that has received the activation instruction directly from the camera activation source application program activates the camera module before starting activation by the camera application program, the activation of the camera module can be speeded up.

(2) By starting the camera module without waiting for the execution of the camera application and setting the image capturing state at an early stage, it is possible to immediately respond to the photo opportunity of the subject.

Second Embodiment]

4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 show configuration examples of the mobile phone. The configurations shown in FIGS. 4 to 8 are examples, and the present invention is not limited to such configurations.

A cellular phone 20A shown in FIG. 4 is an example of the electronic device according to the present disclosure, and includes a camera module 4, a processor 22, a RAM 24, and a ROM (Read Only Memory) 26. In addition, the mobile phone 20A includes a display unit 30, a touch panel 32, a keypad 34, a timer control unit 36, and a wireless unit 38. In the cellular phone 20A, activation control of the camera function including the camera module 4, display processing of a captured image using the display unit 30, and the like are performed.

The processor 22 is a calculation means such as each control program of the mobile phone 20A stored in the ROM 26, and is configured by, for example, a CPU (Central Processing Unit). The processor 22 functions as the camera module activation unit 8 described above by executing a driver program 46 that controls the camera module 4. Then, the processor 22 outputs an activation instruction to the camera module 4 in response to an activation instruction from the camera activation source application 12 as a high-speed camera activation process. In addition, for example, the processor 22 performs arithmetic processing of an application program, an application framework, and other programs in addition to the OS (Operating System) of the mobile phone 20A.

The RAM 24 is an example of a storage unit, and constitutes a work area in the control process of the control program of the mobile phone 20A. In the RAM 24, for example, a program for performing a standby display or a menu display is developed and executed immediately after the cellular phone 20A is turned on or when an application is activated. In the RAM 24, a display image constituting the screen is created and a display image is output to the display unit 30.

The ROM 26 is an example of a storage unit. The ROM 26 includes a recording medium such as a hard disk device or a flash memory, and stores a program such as an OS. The ROM 26 stores programs such as an application program 40, an application framework 42 for executing the application program 40, middleware 44, and a driver 46 for controlling hardware. The application program 40 includes the camera application 10 and the camera activation source application 12 described above.

カメラセンサ50は、例えば、CCD(Charge Coupled Device )やCMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor )等のイメージセンサで構成されている。 The camera module 4 is an example of hardware including an imaging unit having a camera function, and includes, for example, a camera sensor 50, a sensor control unit 52, an image control unit 54, and a RAM 56. The camera sensor 50 is constituted by an image sensor such as a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) or a CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor). The sensor control unit 52 performs operation control, energization control, and the like for the camera sensor 50. The image control unit 54 is a unit that processes an image captured by the camera sensor 50 and displays the image on the display unit 30 or the like. The RAM 56 constitutes a work area, and when the camera module 4 is powered on, programs for sensor control and image control are developed and executed.

The camera module 4 is in a power-off state when the mobile phone 20A is turned on, and is not simultaneously activated when the power is turned on to the mobile phone 20A. The camera module 4 starts to start when an energization process is performed between the camera module 4 and the power source by an independent start process, for example. In the mobile phone 20A, the camera module 4 is activated based on the activation of the camera activation source application 12 in addition to the activation of the camera application 10.

The display unit 30 displays, for example, a monitoring image captured by the camera module 4 and a captured image captured and processed by a capturing process, and menu display, icon display, standby screen display, and the like are performed by each application program.

The touch panel 32 is configured by a touch sensor installed on the display unit 30 and detects, for example, the touch position (coordinates) of a touch pen (for example, a stylus pen) (not shown) or the touch of a user's finger or the like. Then, for the touch on the touch panel, for example, the processor 22 that executes the driver program 46 performs control such as image display, touch position coordinate calculation, pointer generation and movement, and screen scrolling.

For example, when the keypad 34 is detected to be pressed by the user, an operation input to the mobile phone is realized.

The timer control unit 36 is an example of a time measuring unit. The timer control unit 36 notifies the time-up when a designated time has elapsed, and may use, for example, a timer (not shown) or an application program that counts time.

The wireless unit 38 is an example of a communication unit of a mobile phone and is connected to the antenna 60. The wireless unit 38 is connected to an external network such as the Internet for wireless data communication in addition to voice wireless communication.

EEPROM(Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory )等で構成されてもよい。   The storage means is not limited to the ROM 26, and may be constituted by, for example, an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read Only Memory) that can be electrically rewritten.

The application program 40, the driver program 46, and the like are not limited to those stored in the ROM 26, but are stored in a computer-readable recording medium such as a magnetic disk, a flexible disk, or an optical disk magneto-optical disk. You may use things. Further, the application program 40, the driver 40, and the like may read and use a program from a server or database on the network.

In the mobile phone 20 shown in FIG. 5, for example, a movable casing 62 and a fixed casing 64 are connected by a hinge 66 so as to be opened and closed. A camera unit 70 constituting the camera module 4 is installed on the back side of the fixed-side housing portion 64. Further, for example, an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) display unit 72 is provided as the display unit 30 on the front side of the movable housing 62 shown in FIG. This LCD display unit 72 may constitute the touch panel 32 as described above.

Further, for example, a keyboard 76, an enter key 78, and a cursor key 80 are arranged as the operation unit 74 in the fixed-side housing unit 64.

For example, a standby screen 82 generated by a standby application is displayed on the LCD display unit 72 shown in FIG. For example, a camera activation icon 84 for instructing activation of the camera application 10 is displayed on the standby screen 82, and icons for executing other functions are displayed. Further, for example, a menu display screen 86 generated by a menu application is displayed on the LCD display unit 72 shown in FIG. This menu application displays, for example, a list of functions that can be executed by the mobile phone 20. For example, a selection area 88 for selecting activation of the camera application 10 is displayed.

Next, FIG. 9 and FIG. 10 show an example of a software configuration that activates the camera function. The configurations shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 are examples, and the present invention is not limited to the configurations according to the present invention.

In the mobile phone 20 shown in FIG. 9, for example, a camera application 10 and a camera activation source application 12 are set as application programs used for the camera function. As described above, the camera application 10 has an activation control function for the camera module, a menu display for shooting, a function for generating an icon image, and a monitoring image combined with an image captured from the camera module 4. Is provided.

The camera activation source application 12 is an application program that displays a menu screen including an activation selection display of the camera application 10 and an icon. The camera activation source application 12 includes a standby screen including the activation display of the camera application 10, a camera menu application for displaying a camera activation menu screen, and the like.

These application programs 40 are executed on a lower-level application framework 42, and each device is accessed via the middleware 44 and each driver program 46. For example, a key driver 94, a touch panel driver 96, a camera driver 98, and a display driver 100 driver program 46 are mounted on the cellular phone 20 as the driver program 46. These driver programs 46 are executed by the processor 22 and function as control means for the operation means, the camera module 4 and the like.

The key driver 94 performs operation detection and notification of an execution instruction with the key device 102 including the keypad 34. The touch panel driver 96 performs operation detection on the touch panel device 104. The camera driver 98 functions as the activation control unit 8 of the camera module 4. For example, the camera driver 98 receives an activation instruction from the camera activation source application 12 as a high-speed camera activation control in addition to the activation instruction received from the camera application 10. Further, the camera driver 98 notifies the display driver 100 of the image captured by the camera module 4. The display driver 100 performs image processing on the captured image and performs display control on the display device 106 configured by the display unit 30.

(Normal camera function startup process)

The key driver 94 detects pressing of the key device 102 and notifies the camera activation source application 12 via the middleware 44 and the application framework 42. When an operation is performed on the touch panel device 104, the touch panel driver 96 notifies the camera activation source application 12.

このカメラモジュール4の起動では、例えば、ISP(Image Sensor Processor)等の専用信号処理回路の起動も含まれる。   An activation instruction from the camera activation source application 12 to the camera application 10 is performed via the application framework 42. The camera application 10 activated by this activation instruction issues an activation instruction to the camera driver 98 via the application framework 42 and the middleware 44. The camera module 4 is activated when the camera driver 98 receives this activation instruction. The activation of the camera module 4 includes activation of a dedicated signal processing circuit such as an ISP (Image Sensor Processor).

The monitoring image captured by the camera module 4 is displayed on the display device 106 via the camera driver 98 and the display driver 100. The monitoring image may be displayed on the display device 106 side from the camera application 10 via the application framework 42.

(High-speed camera startup processing)

On the other hand, in the mobile phone 20 shown in FIG. 10, as a high-speed camera activation process, the activated camera activation source application 12 directly instructs the activation of the camera module 4 to the camera driver 98 without passing through the camera application 10. Done. The camera activation source application 12 issues an activation instruction to the camera application 10. Specifically, an activation instruction for the camera module 4 is output to the camera driver 98 when the screen of the camera activation source application 12 is activated or a key operation is performed on the contents of the menu display screen.

Reference is made to the comparison between the normal camera activation process shown in FIG. 11A and the high-speed camera activation process shown in FIG. 11B.

In the camera activation process shown in FIG. 11, the mobile phone 20 is activated at time ta. For example, after the standby application is activated, the user operation is performed at time tb and the camera activation source application 12 is activated. In the normal camera activation process shown in FIG. 11A, the process waits until the activation of the camera activation source application 12 is completed. When the user performs a camera function activation selection operation at time td, the camera application 10 is activated. At this time, in the camera module 4, the power is turned on, the camera dedicated program is developed, and the monitor image is transferred at time tf. In this normal camera activation process, it takes time until the monitoring image is displayed after the user performs a key operation.

On the other hand, in the high-speed camera activation process shown in FIG. 11B, when the camera activation source application 12 is activated at time tb, the camera module 4 is activated without using the camera application 10, and the camera dedicated program is activated at time tc. Is expanded. Then, at the time td when the activation selection operation of the camera application 10 is performed, the camera module 4 has been activated and stands by in a state where an image can be captured. Accordingly, the monitoring image is displayed on the display unit 30 when the camera application 10 is activated.

Next, FIG. 12, FIG. 13 and FIG. 14 show restriction control for high-speed camera activation. The processing contents, processing procedures, and the like shown in FIGS. 12, 13, and 14 are examples, and the present invention is not limited to such a configuration.

In the high-speed camera activation, as described above, the camera module 4 is activated without waiting for the activation of the camera application 10 and is on standby. Therefore, when this high-speed camera activation is executed as the camera activation source application 12 triggered by the start-up of the standby screen, if the camera module 4 is always activated, power consumption may increase. Therefore, for example, activation standby restriction processing is performed as the high-speed camera activation restriction control illustrated in FIG.

In this limit control, the timer control unit 36 counts time, for example, the camera module 4 is activated and waited for a predetermined time after the movable casing 62 of the mobile phone 20 is opened. If no camera function activation operation such as activation of the camera application 10 is performed during the predetermined time, timer control is performed so that the activation standby of the camera module 4 is terminated.

For example, the application framework 42 performs activation setting of the camera module 4 and timer setting before the camera activation source application 12 is activated. In the activation control shown in FIG. 12, an activation request operation is performed on the camera activation source application 12 for which the time limit for the high-speed activation of the camera is set by specifying a timer. In response to this activation request, activation of the camera module 4 is started via the application framework 42 and middleware 44 as described above. The camera module 4 is activated until the time t1 is reached, and waits for activation. For example, the application frame 42 or the middleware 44 monitors whether there is an activation request during the timer period set from the activation request as timer control. Then, when there is no activation request from the camera application 10 before the set time t2, the camera driver 98 as the camera module activation means performs the termination process of the camera module 4 and stops the camera module 4.

When a start request is made from the camera start source application 12 to the camera application 10 at time t3 after the timer period has elapsed, the high speed camera start processing is switched to the normal camera start processing. In this activation process, an activation instruction is sent from the camera application 10 to the camera module 4, and the activation process of the camera module 4 is performed. In the camera function termination process, for example, a termination request is notified from the camera application 10 and the termination process of the camera module 4 is performed.

Also, as shown in FIG. 13, when a start request is issued from the camera activation source application 12 to the camera application 10 at time t5 during the timer period, the camera application 10 is activated and the camera function can be used. Become. At this time, the time limit for waiting for activation of the camera module 4 becomes invalid, and the camera module 4 is in an activated state until a termination request from the camera application 10 is notified.

In addition, the restriction control for starting the high-speed camera of the camera module 4 is not limited to the time restriction by the timer control. For example, when an interrupt process such as activation of an application other than the camera application 10 or an incoming call occurs, or when an operation other than the activation of the camera application 10 such as a closing operation of the movable housing 62 is performed. In addition, start standby end processing may be performed.

FIG. 14 shows an example of the effect of the high-speed camera activation process and timer control on the user's operation.

(1) For example, when the camera is activated from the display of the camera menu, it is only necessary to set valid because the high-speed camera activation process can be performed quickly. In this case, since the start operation of the camera is performed, the timer control is invalidated.

(2) When the camera function is activated immediately after displaying the camera menu, the high-speed camera activation can be enabled as in (1) above, but the effect is small because the camera module standby time is short. Also in this case, the timer control is disabled because the camera is started.

(3) When the camera menu is displayed but another screen is started without starting the camera, the camera module 4 is started at high speed by the camera menu display, but the timer control is effective because the camera is not started. The high-speed camera activation is invalidated.

(4) If an interrupt such as an incoming voice call occurs while the camera menu is displayed, the camera will not be activated even if the high-speed camera is activated by the menu display. become. Further, as described above, the high-speed camera activation function may be disabled when another interrupt process occurs while the camera module 4 is on standby.

(5) In the case where the camera function is activated by long-pressing a key or a touch panel, rapid shooting can be performed by enabling the high-speed camera activation in response to the long-press operation. At this time, since the activation operation of the camera function is performed, the timer control is invalidated.

(6) When the camera function is activated by pressing and holding the key or touch panel for a long time, if the operation is stopped with a short press without using the long press, the camera will not start, so timer control is effective. Thus, the high-speed camera activation is disabled. In addition, the timer control is effective when time passes or an operation different from the setting operation is performed.

Next, camera function activation control processing will be described with reference to FIGS. 15 and 16. Note that the processing contents, processing procedures, and the like shown in FIGS. 15 and 16 are examples, and are not limited to the configuration according to the present invention.

(S13)。   Pressing of the key device 102 of the mobile phone 20 is detected, and the detection result is notified to the activation source application 12 (S11). Then, triggered by this press detection notification, the camera activation source application 12 is executed, and an activation instruction is directly notified from the camera activation source application 12 to the camera module 4 (S12). The camera activation source application 12 confirms the activation start of the camera module 4 (S13).

Then, the camera activation source application 12 notifies the camera application 10 of an activation start instruction by, for example, an activation start operation of the camera function by the user (S14). At this time, if there is no operation for starting the camera function, the above-described timer control is performed, and the standby for starting the camera module 4 is released.

In the camera application 10, an activation instruction is notified to the camera module 4 (S15), and the camera function can be used. In the display device 106, the monitoring image captured by the camera module 4 is transmitted via, for example, the middleware 44 (S16) and displayed on the display unit 30.

The camera function activation control illustrated in FIG. 16 is an example of the camera control program and the camera control method of the present disclosure. In this activation control, the camera module 4 is activated without using the camera application 10 based on an activation instruction from the camera activation source application 12. The camera module 4 is in a standby state until an activation request operation for activating the camera application 10 is performed.

When the power of the mobile phone 20 is turned on, for example, a program such as the camera application 10 is expanded and executed in the RAM 24 (S21), and a standby screen is displayed (S22). In the display of the standby screen, for example, when a key is pressed or an operation on the touch panel is performed (S23), it is determined whether or not the camera function activation source application 12 is activated (S24). In this determination process, it is determined whether or not the activated application is an application that triggers activation of the camera module 4 due to activation of the high-speed camera.

When the camera activation source application 12 is activated (YES in S24), an activation request instruction is output from the camera activation source application 12 to the camera module 4, and a timer function is set (S25). In response to the activation request, for example, the camera module 4 performs an activation process under the control of the camera driver 98 and the like, and the power is turned on (S26). In the camera module 4, a dedicated program is expanded in the RAM 56 (S27). At this time, the camera module 4 stands by in an activated state until a camera activation request is issued by a selection operation on the camera application 10.

(S30)。   For example, the application framework 42 and the middleware 44 determine whether the set time limit is up by counting the timer function (S28). If the time is not up (NO in S28), it is determined whether a camera activation request has been received (S29). If the time is up, the camera driver 98, which is the starting means, turns off the power of the camera module 4 as a time limit for starting the high-speed camera (S30).

(S33)。   When a camera activation request is made (YES in S29), the camera application 10 is activated (S31). Then, the camera application 10 outputs a startup request for the camera module 4 via the application framework 42 or the like (S33).

(S32)。   If the camera activation request is not made within the set time limit, the power of the camera module 4 is turned off and the timer is canceled (S32).

(S36)。   It is determined whether or not the camera module 4 is powered on (S34). When the camera module 4 is in the ON state due to the high-speed camera activation (YES in S34), the timer is canceled (S35), the image taken by the camera module 4 is captured, and the monitor image is displayed on the display unit. Transferred (S36).

If a camera activation request is made after the time is up, the camera module 4 is not turned on (NO in S34), and the routine proceeds to normal camera activation processing. For example, the timer is canceled, the camera module 4 is turned on (S37), and the dedicated program for the camera module 4 is expanded in the RAM 56 (S38). And it transfers to the state which can utilize the camera function shown to step S36.

In the activation control of the camera function, the process is started when the power of the mobile phone 20 is turned on. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, when the camera activation source application 12 is activated while the mobile phone 20 is activated, the activation instruction of the camera module 4 may be output directly from the camera activation source application 12 to the camera driver 98.

According to such a configuration, the following effects can be obtained.

(1) In this high-speed camera activation process, the camera module 4 can be activated and placed on standby before the camera application 10 is requested to activate the camera function. Thereby, when the user activates the camera application by the activation operation of the camera function, the activation process of the camera module 4 has already been completed, so that the user can shift to shooting without missing a photo opportunity, and the usability of the camera function is improved.

(2) The camera activation source application 12 directly activates the camera module 4 without going through the camera application 10, thereby reducing the waiting time from when the activation request for the camera function is made until the camera is ready for shooting. Can be achieved.

(3) Quickly activate the camera function by switching from the high-speed camera activation process to the normal camera activation process for the camera module 4 that has been activated in advance, according to operations other than the passage of time or camera activation. While suppressing the increase in power burden.

Third Embodiment]

The cellular phone according to the third embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 17 shows an example of the hardware configuration of the mobile phone, and FIG. 18 shows an example of the operation pattern table. The configurations shown in FIGS. 17 and 18 are examples, and the configuration of the present invention is not limited to such configurations.

In the mobile phone 20B shown in FIG. 17, the camera module 4 is activated before the camera application 10 is activated based on recognition of the shooting operation pattern of the user who uses the camera function as the high-speed camera activation process. The cellular phone 20B further includes, for example, an acceleration sensor 110, a housing shape change control unit 112, and a driver program 46 as shooting operation pattern recognition units. Further, in the RAM 24, for example, an operation pattern table 120 in which shooting operations are registered is developed.

The acceleration sensor 110 detects an operation on the mobile phone 20B. The acceleration sensor 110 detects, for example, the orientation of the casing of the mobile phone 20B in three axial directions of x, y, and z, and detects, for example, that the mobile phone 20B is tilted sideways to perform camera shooting. can do.

The casing shape change control unit 112 is an example of a unit that detects whether or not the movable casing 62 (FIG. 5) is in an open state. For example, an open / close sensor 114 is connected to the housing shape change control unit 112. The open / close sensor 114 is installed, for example, in either or both of the movable casing 62 and the fixed casing 64, and detects the open / close state of the mobile phone 20B. In addition, this open / close sensor 114 may be installed in the hinge part 66, for example, and may detect the position of the hinge part 66 which moves according to the opening / closing of the housing.

An operation pattern table 120 shown in FIG. 18 is an example of a mobile phone shape and an application activation state registered in advance. As the operation pattern, for example, shape information 122 of the mobile phone (terminal) at every predetermined time 121, key operation pattern information 123, information 124 of the activation application, and acceleration pattern information 125 are registered. If the operation on the mobile phone 20B matches the operation pattern registered in the operation pattern table 120, the high-speed camera activation process is executed. In the cellular phone 20B, the operation registered in the operation pattern table 120 is performed, and for example, the camera activation source application 12 such as a camera menu is activated.

For example, the camera application 10 may be activated from a standby screen, activated from a camera menu screen, or activated by a key operation or a combination of menu screens. Such a startup operation pattern of the camera application 10 is often limited to a certain one depending on, for example, user convenience.

As an operation pattern performed in order to use the camera function in this way, for example, the operation shown in FIG. 19 is performed on the mobile phone 20B.

(1) Operate the movable casing 62 to open the mobile phone 20 and display a standby screen. At this time, the opening / closing sensor 114 detects that the terminal shape has changed from “closed” to “open”. Key operations, startup applications, and acceleration are unchanged.

(2) Next, the display shifts to the display of the camera menu display screen 86. At this time, the user presses the enter key 78 with the finger 130, for example. In this case, the terminal shape is detected as no change. With respect to the key operation, pressing of the enter key is detected. On the display screen 72, as the camera activation source application 12, a menu application is activated from the standby application, and a camera menu screen is displayed. Changes in acceleration are not detected.

(3) When the camera menu is selected and the enter key is pressed, the camera application 10 is activated. At this time, no change is detected in the terminal shape. As for the key operation, pressing of the enter key is detected. The activation application detects the activation of the camera application 10 from the camera menu. Changes in acceleration are not detected.

(4) Then, the mobile phone 20 is tilted sideways, and the camera direction is set so that, for example, the subject 134 enters the finder display 132 of the display screen. In this operation, no change is detected in the terminal shape, key operation, and activation application. The acceleration is detected to be changed by the tilt operation of the mobile phone 20.

Further, as another example of operation for using the camera function, the operation shown in FIG. 20 is performed on the mobile phone.

(1) Operate the movable casing 62 to open the mobile phone 20 and display a standby screen. At this time, the opening / closing sensor 114 detects that the terminal shape has changed from “closed” to “open”. Key operations, startup applications, and acceleration are unchanged.

(2) The mobile phone 20 is tilted sideways. In this operation, for example, the shooting direction is set in advance before starting the camera application. In this operation, no change is detected in the terminal shape, key operation, and activation application. The acceleration is detected to be changed by the tilt operation of the mobile phone 20.

(3) The camera activation key 140 is pressed, and the camera display screen 142 is displayed when the camera application is activated. In this case, the key operation is detected when the camera activation key is pressed. As the activation application, a camera application is detected from the standby.

(4) The camera direction is set so that the subject 134 enters the finder display 132 of the display screen. In this case, a change in acceleration is detected.

Therefore, in this high-speed camera activation, the specific shooting operation pattern described above is registered as a camera activation operation pattern. If the operation on the mobile phone 20 matches the photographing operation pattern, it is determined that the camera function is used, and the camera module 4 is activated without using the camera application 10.

Next, the process illustrated in FIG. 21 illustrates an example of camera activation control using a shooting operation pattern. In this camera activation control, when the operation pattern for the mobile phone 20 matches the registered operation pattern, the process proceeds to a high-speed camera activation process.

(S42)。   When the mobile phone 20 is powered on, various control programs are loaded in the RAM 24 and executed (S41). A standby screen is displayed on the display unit 30, and a standby state for a user key operation or the like is entered (S42).

(S43)。   When a user operation is performed, for example, a key press, a movement of the housing, a change in the shape of the housing, or the like is detected by the acceleration sensor 110, the open / close sensor 114, or the like (S43).

(S45)。   It is determined whether the detected user operation matches the camera activation operation pattern (S44). If they match (YES in S44), the process shifts to high-speed camera activation. A start request is output to the camera module 4 and a time measurement instruction is output to the timer control unit 36 to set a timer (S45).

(S47)。   Then, the power source of the camera module 4 is turned on (S46), and the dedicated program for the camera module 4 is expanded in the RAM 24 (S47).

(S50)。   Based on the count of the timer function, it is determined whether the set time limit is up (S48). If the time is not up (NO in S48), it is determined whether a camera activation request has been received (S49). If the time is up (YES in S48), the power of the camera module 4 is controlled to be turned off (S50) as a time limit for starting the high-speed camera.

(S54)。   When a camera activation request is made (YES in S49), the camera application program 10 is activated (S51). Further, the camera activation operation pattern is updated (S53). Then, the camera application 10 outputs a request for starting the camera module 4 via the application framework 42 or the like (S54).

If the camera activation request is not made within the set time limit, the power of the camera module 4 is turned off and the timer is canceled (S52). This timer cancellation is performed only when, for example, the camera module 4 is already activated.

(S57)。   It is determined whether or not the camera function is powered on (S55). When the camera power is turned on due to the high-speed camera activation (YES in S55), the timer is canceled (S56), the image is captured by the camera module 4, and the monitor image is transferred to the display unit 30 (S57). ).

(S59)。   If a camera activation request is made after the time is up, the camera power is not turned on (NO in S55), and the routine proceeds to normal camera activation processing. For example, the timer is canceled, the camera module 4 is turned on (S58), and the dedicated program for the camera module 4 is loaded in the RAM 56 (S59).

According to such a configuration, the camera module is activated based on a specific operation pattern for the mobile phone, and the camera module 4 is activated before the camera application 10 is activated, thereby speeding up the activation process of the camera function. Can be planned. And since the camera module starts to start without having to wait for the camera application program to start, when the user points the mobile phone toward the subject, the camera can be ready for shooting and can immediately respond to a photo opportunity. .

Fourth Embodiment]

22 and 23 show a camera activation function of the mobile phone according to the fourth embodiment. The configurations, processing contents, and processing procedures shown in FIGS. 22 and 23 are examples, and are not limited to the configurations according to the present invention.

In the mobile phone 20C shown in FIG. 22, the camera module 4 is activated based on key operation and touch panel operation as high-speed camera activation processing. In the cellular phone 20 </ b> C, the activation function of the camera module 4 is set in the key driver 94 and the touch panel driver 96. In the high-speed camera activation process, for example, the camera module 4 is directly activated from the key driver 94 or the touch panel driver 96 by a key operation on the menu screen by the camera activation source application 12.

In the cellular phone 20 </ b> C, the key driver 94 and the touch panel driver 96 output activation instructions to the camera driver 98 based on detection of key operations and touch panel operations. The key driver 94 and the touch panel driver 98 are located in the same level layer as the camera driver 98. The mobile phone 20C notifies the activation instruction to the camera module 4 without going through the middleware 44 or the application framework 42, for example.

(S63)。   In the camera activation control shown in FIG. 23, when the key driver 94 detects that the key device 102 is pressed (S61), the camera activation source application 12 is notified of the depression (S62) and the camera driver 98 is activated. An instruction is output (S63).

(S65)。   The camera driver 98 that has received this activation instruction outputs the activation instruction directly to the camera module 4 regardless of the activation of the camera application 10 (S64). Further, the camera activation source application 12 activated by detection of pressing from the key driver 94 outputs an activation instruction to the camera application 10 (S65).

The activated camera application 10 outputs an activation instruction to the camera driver 98 (66). And the camera module 4 will be in the state which can be image | photographed in response to the starting request notified from the camera application 10.

According to such a configuration, since the activation instruction for the camera module 4 based on a specific key operation can be directly notified from the key driver 94 to the camera driver 98 in the high-speed activation process of the camera function, it is possible to quickly Can be started.

Fifth Embodiment]

24 and 25 show a configuration example of the mobile phone according to the fifth embodiment. In the mobile phone 20 shown in FIG. 24, for example, an operation on the key device 102 is monitored by the camera module activation means 8, and the camera module 4 is activated based on the monitoring result. In this operation monitoring, for example, the position and operation state of an operation cursor or the like with respect to the menu display screen, icon display, etc. of the camera activation source application 12 are monitored.

In the mobile phone 20D shown in FIG. 25, for example, a standby application 164 and a menu application 166 are set as the camera activation source application 12 that leads to camera activation. The menu application 166 displays a camera menu 168 that activates the camera application 10. The camera module activation unit 8 monitors whether the cursor display is focused on the camera menu 168 with respect to the display of the menu application 166. The camera module activation unit 8 may be configured by, for example, the key driver 94, the middleware 44, the application framework 42, and the like.

Then, as the high-speed camera activation control, the camera module activation means directly receives the camera module without receiving the activation instruction of the camera application 10 based on the selection operation for the menu display or the like where the activation instruction of the camera application 10 may be performed. 4 is started.

In the cellular phone 20 </ b> D, when the cursor is focused on the camera menu 168 of the menu application 166, for example, the key driver 94 or the touch panel driver 96 outputs an activation instruction directly to the camera driver 98.

The camera driver 98 receives the activation instruction from the key driver 94 or the touch panel driver 96, and starts the activation process of the camera module 4.

Next, camera function activation control processing will be described with reference to FIGS. 26 and 27. FIG. Note that the processing contents, processing procedures, and the like shown in FIGS. 26 and 27 are examples, and are not limited to the configuration according to the present invention.

(S73)。   Pressing of the key device 102 of the mobile phone 20 is detected by the key driver 94 (S71). By this detection, the menu application 166 is activated (S72) and a menu screen is displayed. When the cursor is focused on the menu related to the activation of the camera function among the display menus displayed on the menu screen, the menu application 166 notifies the key driver 94 of a standby instruction (S73).

When a key operation is performed on the camera menu, the process proceeds to high-speed camera activation processing. The camera function activation process (S74 to S78) based on an instruction from the key driver 94 may be performed in the same manner as the above-described steps S63 to S67 (FIG. 23), and the description thereof is omitted.

In the camera function activation control shown in FIG. 27, high-speed camera activation processing is executed based on key operation information. In this activation control, a standby instruction based on an action to be activated is notified to each component before the camera application 10 is executed.

(S85)。   When the power of the cellular phone 20D is turned on, a program such as the camera application 10 is expanded and executed in the RAM 24 (S81), and a standby screen is displayed (S82). In addition, the menu application 166 is activated together with the standby screen or instead of the standby screen (S83). On the display screen of the menu application 166, a user operation of a key or a touch panel is performed (S84), and whether or not the camera function is activated is monitored (S85).

(S89)。   When the focus is on (YES in S85), the key or touch driver is notified that there is a possibility of shifting to the camera activation process (S86). By this notification, the key or the touch driver is shifted to a standby state, for example. When focus is not achieved (NO in S85), monitoring for user operation is continued. When a user operation is performed (S87), it is determined whether or not a “start” operation for camera activation is performed by this operation (S88). When the “decision” operation is performed (YES in S88), an activation request is output from the key or the touch driver to the camera module 4 (S89).

If the “decision” operation has not been performed (NO in S88), the process proceeds to S84, and monitoring of the display screen is continued.

(S91)。   The camera module 4 that has received the activation request is powered on and the activation process is executed (S90). At this time, the dedicated program for the camera module is expanded (S91).

(S93)。   In response to the notification of determination, the camera application 10 is activated from the menu application (S92). When the camera application 10 is activated, an activation request is issued to the camera module 4 (S93).

(S97)。   When the power supply of the camera module 4 has been turned on (YES in S94), the high-speed camera has been activated, and the monitor image captured by the camera module 4 is transferred to the display unit (S95). If the power is not turned on (NO in S94), the camera module 4 is turned on as a normal camera activation process (S96), and a program dedicated to the camera module is executed (S97).

According to such a configuration, in the menu display in which there is a possibility that the start operation of the camera application is performed, the camera module start process is directly shifted to the start process of the camera module. Plan

Sixth Embodiment]

The processes shown in FIGS. 28 and 29 show an example of camera function activation control according to the sixth embodiment. In the mobile phone 20 shown in FIG. 28, in order to prevent malfunction of the camera function, for example, as a chattering function, the camera function is activated by a long press of a cursor key or a touch panel. In such a camera function, for example, it is determined whether or not a long press has been performed after detecting a key press. In order to omit waste of the pressing determination time, in the high-speed camera activation process of the mobile phone 20, the camera module 4 is activated based on detection of key depression with respect to the camera activation source application 12.

When a key operation for requesting activation of the camera application 10 is performed on the menu display of the camera activation source application 12, activation of the camera module 4 is started without the camera application 10. Then, for example, by pressing and holding the key until time t1, the activation operation of the camera function is confirmed, and the camera application 10 is activated. At this time, if the activation of the camera module 4 is completed, it is possible to quickly start capturing captured images when the camera application 10 is activated.

Further, as described above, the application framework 42 or the middleware 44 counts the timer period in response to a key operation. Thereby, for example, when the key operation is a short press, if the long press of the key for confirming the camera start is not performed within the timer time, the start of the camera module 4 may be terminated.

The activation control of the camera function shown in FIG. 29 is an example of the camera control program and the camera control method of the present disclosure. In this activation control, activation of the camera module 4 is started directly from the camera activation source application 12 based on the key operation information. In this activation control, the activation of the camera module 4 is performed before the activation selection of the camera application 10 by a long key press is confirmed.

(S102)。   When the power of the mobile phone 20 is turned on, a program such as the camera application 10 is expanded and executed in the RAM 24 (S101), and a standby screen is displayed (S102).

(S106)。   When pressing of a camera activation key is detected in the standby screen display (YES in S103), an activation request is output from the standby application to the camera module 4 as a high-speed camera activation process (S104). At this time, the timer processing by the timer control unit 36 is also started. The camera module 4 that has received the activation request is powered on and the activation process is executed (S105). The dedicated program for the camera module 4 is expanded (S106).

(S109)。   The timer control unit 36 determines whether or not the timer period has elapsed (S107), and when the time is not up (NO in S107), the high-speed camera activation process is continued. Then, it is determined whether or not the camera activation request is confirmed by long-pressing the key (S108). When the time is up (YES in S107), the high-speed camera activation process is canceled and the camera module 4 is turned off to shift to normal camera activation (S109).

(S111)。   When a camera activation request is made (YES in S108), the camera application is activated (S110). When the camera application is activated, an activation request is output to the camera module 4 (S111).

(S116)。   When the power source of the camera module 4 has been turned on (YES in S112), the high-speed camera is activated, the timer function is canceled (S113), and the monitor image captured by the camera module 4 is transferred to the display unit ( S114). If the power is not turned on (NO in S112), as a normal camera activation process, the power of the camera module 4 is turned on (S115), and a program dedicated to the camera module is executed (S116).

According to such a configuration, the activation process of the camera function can be speeded up by making the camera module stand by in a state in which the camera module can be photographed before the activation operation for the camera function is confirmed.

Other Embodiments]
