壁掛け型のエアコン室内機の前面側熱交換器の前面上部、後面側熱交換器の後面上部及び送風ファンの上方に各々配した洗浄液及びリンス水の噴霧手段と、
前記エアコン室内機のケーシングの外部に付設した、前記噴霧手段に洗浄液及びリンス水を選択的に供給する洗浄液及びリンス水の供給手段と、
前記エアコン室内機の後面側に待避して待機する洗浄廃液を回収するための廃液回収樋であって、前記噴霧手段並びに前記洗浄液及びリンス水の供給手段による洗浄動作時に、前記送風ファンの下方に進出して該送風ファン及びその周辺から流れ落ちる洗浄廃液を受け取って前記前面側熱交換器の下方のドレンパンに導入する廃液回収樋と、
前記廃液回収樋の前記エアコン室内機の後面側への待避動作及び前記送風ファンの下方への進出動作を行う回収樋駆動手段と、
洗浄開始の指令を与えると、エアコン室内機の後面に待避している前記廃液回収樋を前記送風ファンの下方に進出させるべく前記回収樋駆動手段を制御し、次いで、前記送風ファンに弱運転をさせた上で、前記洗浄液及びリンス水の供給手段に一定時間の洗浄液の供給動作をさせ、これによって前記噴霧手段から洗浄液の噴霧動作を行わせ、引き続いて、供給対象を洗浄液からリンス水に切り換えさせて他の一定時間のリンス水の供給動作をさせ、これによって前記噴霧手段からリンス水の噴霧動作を行わせ、その終了後に、前記送風ファンの弱運転を更に他の一定時間継続させ、その終了後に、前記廃液回収樋をエアコン室内機の後面側に待避させるべく前記回収樋駆動手段を制御する制御手段と、
