Abstract
【解決手段】第2のガラス基板を用いて形成されてベース基板20の上記一面側で有機EL素子ユニット1よりも離れて配置されベース基板20に対向するパッケージ用基板50と、ベース基板20とパッケージ用基板50との間に介在して有機EL素子ユニット1を囲む枠状のスペーサ部60とを備え、各導体パターン22,24それぞれの一部が、スペーサ部60よりも外側にあり、スペーサ部60が、少なくとも一部がフリットガラスを用いて形成されベース基板20およびパッケージ用基板50それぞれに全周に亘って接合されている。有機EL素子ユニット1に設けた凹凸構造部19の表面とパッケージ用基板50との間には、空間70が存在している。

Description
以下、本実施形態の発光装置について、図1および図2を参照しながら説明する。
枠体30とベース基板20および有機ELユニット1との接合時には、紫外線照射や部分加熱が有効である。
本実施形態の発光装置Aの基本構成は実施形態1と略同じであり、図3および図4に示すように、有機EL素子ユニット1とベース基板20と枠体30とで囲まれた空間に、封止用の液体(例えば、シリコーンオイル、パラフィンオイルなど)90を封入してある点が相違する。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
本実施形態の発光装置Aの基本構成は実施形態1と略同じであり、図5および図6に示すように、有機EL素子ユニット1を2つ備えている点などが相違する。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。ただし、図5および図6では、2つの有機EL素子ユニット1の区別をするために、A,Bを付記した符号を括弧内に記載してある。

Claims (3)
- 厚み方向に離間した一対の電極間に発光層を有する有機EL素子および前記有機EL素子の前記各電極それぞれに電気的に接続された配線層が透明なプラスチックフィルムの一表面側に形成された有機EL素子ユニットと、第1のガラス基板を用いて形成されて前記有機EL素子ユニットの前記有機EL素子側に対向配置され前記有機EL素子ユニットに対向する一面側の周部に前記各配線層それぞれに電気的に接続される複数の外部接続用の導体パターンを有するベース基板と、前記有機EL素子ユニットと前記ベース基板との間で前記有機EL素子を囲み且つ前記各配線層の一部と前記各導体パターンとを囲まないように配置され前記有機EL素子ユニットおよび前記ベース基板それぞれに全周に亘って接合された枠体と、前記各配線層の前記一部と前記各導体パターンとをそれぞれ電気的に接続する導電性ペーストからなる複数の接続部と、第2のガラス基板を用いて形成されて前記ベース基板の前記一面側で前記有機EL素子ユニットよりも離れて配置され前記ベース基板に対向するパッケージ用基板と、前記ベース基板と前記パッケージ用基板との間に介在して前記有機EL素子ユニットを囲む枠状のスペーサ部とを備え、前記各導体パターンそれぞれの一部が、前記スペーサ部よりも外側にあり、前記スペーサ部は、少なくとも一部がフリットガラスを用いて形成され前記ベース基板および前記パッケージ用基板それぞれに全周に亘って接合されてなり、前記有機EL素子ユニットは、前記プラスチックフィルムの他表面側に設けられ前記発光層から放射された光の前記他表面での反射を抑制する凹凸構造部を備え、前記凹凸構造部の表面と前記パッケージ用基板との間に空間が存在することを特徴とする発光装置。
- 前記有機EL素子ユニットと前記ベース基板と前記枠体とで囲まれた空間に封止用の液体が封入されてなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記有機EL素子ユニットを複数備えるとともに、前記複数の前記有機EL素子ユニットが前記ベース基板と前記パッケージ用基板との間で互いに重なるように配置され、前記ベース基板から遠い側の前記有機EL素子ユニットの前記配線層は、前記前記ベース基板に近い側の前記有機EL素子ユニットの前記プラスチックフィルムの厚み方向に貫設された貫通配線と導電性ペーストにより接続され、前記各貫通配線は、前記ベース基板から遠い側の前記有機EL素子ユニットの前記配線層に対応付けられた前記各導体パターンと導電性ペーストにより接続されてなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
